Claire Newcombe crafts live and uses Lisa Hortons background stamps on the negative space of a 3D embossing folder to create a background design behind the 3D design. Essentially the embossing folder is used as a letter press.

I'm adding a late comment to your posting date but I just found this. Your idea is BRILLANT! I love the look and would have never figured this out on my own! I think this is very creative and a great addition to the "background" of a beautiful embossing folder. Just that little bit on the flat space makes a major league difference! Who would have thought (lol)? What an eye!!! TFS

Wow! What a beautiful card! I’m curious about you die cutting machine sandwich as you don’t look like you are using a lot of effort to crank the embossing folder through
Use the base platform for the Sizzix, place the embossing folder loaded with your card stock, place 1 acrylic plate on top, and crank it through.
Love the embossing folder and the background stamp set. Are these products sold in the US?
Can you tell me where you got the sentiment strip die? I’ve been searching high and low for a die with a rounded end and a fishtail, which also has a shadow.

What’s the name of the “text” stamp?
I don't know if you'll get a notification about this but I saw your question didn't get answered. It's in the background collections and it's called textures A6
Do you usually use watercolour paper for this technique?
I used Lisa Horton Extra smooth yardstick for this. No water was used so didn't need to use watercolour card.
I use regular card stock, not too heavy though, lightly mist paper with water before placing it in the embossing folder. It helps the paper to conform to the folder without cracking or tearing.
It would be SO helpful if you'd come in much closer, please?
