Oh my goodness, I have just started my embossing journey at age 66, and your techniques have made it make so much sense. Thank you for sharing these ideas!!!
Thank you! I've been making cards now for almost 3 years. You taught me something I never tried. We can all learn something new if we're not closed off to "Thinking we know it all!".
Wow Never thought of using double sided tape. I’ve got green and red embossing powders, so I can create plaid based on you video. Thank you. You also teach well, give clear concise directions. Stay well, and thanks for sharing. Catherine (from Canada)
I have all kinds of ideas to use embossing powders now. I love the way you used it with double-sided tape. Going to a crop in a couple of weeks and can't wait to use some of these! Saved your video so I can look back later also. Thanks so much for sharing!
I love the idea of using your little antique jello mold for your powder bag. I have a couple of those that I got from my grandmother's house. Going to have to dig one out of the attic to use in my craft room!
Great techniques, Christina! Another way you can add embossing powder is with water. It's a great way to get a splattered background - just flick water on your paper, then sprinkle on the powder & melt it with your heat tool. Kind of like with embossing paste (in my experience, at least), it can take a bit longer to melt the powder than when you use embossing ink, since you're also evaporating the water, but it does work. Anyway, just thought I'd add that. Thanks for sharing these. Take care, & have an awesome day! :)
Hi Christina! Love these techniques! I have a question…..how long do you have before the Versamark dries up and loses it’s ability to hold the embossing powder? Thanks…..I just saw this video pop up!
You can use a baby wipe but they can leave fibers but I've never really had a problem with them or you can use spray stamp cleaner with maybe a fiber cloth to dry or you can get a cleaning stamp pad where one side you spray with stamp cleaner and the other side you used to dry it off. Hope these ideas will help you!
So for the double sided tape. You remove the tape before drinking embossing powder over it. This likely seems silly, but what does the powder adhere to with the tape, and no versa mark ink?

Consider Mind Blown ! LOL I did not know you could do so much with embossing powder. Thank you

Did not realize you could emboss over ScorTape - AND for reminding me about white embossing on Kraft. Thanks so much!
I like the idea of the lines at the end of the vid. Be kind to each other. Stay safe. Love to all

Thanks for that new idea! Love to see a sample of how that looks!
You can also use an embossing pen to make the splatters.
Great video!
Just discovered you. Fun techniques! Subscribed. TFS!
Great ideas. Thanks for sharing.
Love the bonus technique

Great video, beautiful 💯thanks
Wow! Lots of fun ideas😀
I hold cardstock with a wooden clothespin when using heat gun. Cheap and doesn’t transfer heat to fingers.
Great ideas! Thanks!
This was great. I’d really like to see these being made into cards! I have backgrounds but I just don’t know what to do with them!
Ty
Thanks for the tips! ❤️
How do you clean off your stamps (if you don’t have the stampin’ shamy) after using the Versamark?

@@tmsgaddy how about those little chamois they give you with your new phone or tablet. I usually have those hanging around and not being used.
It helps if you get closer. It is hard to see what you have done.
What happens if you color it in first and then add the embossing powder next?
