Not one part!! It comes with steel driveshafts, I don't have to worry about easily breaking the plastic ones like traxxas has. Now don't get me wrong , I will still have fun with my traxxas slash. But the truck isn't going anywhere because thier is alot you can do with it and parts are available everywhere for it.
Traxxas makes more money off selling parts for their cars than actually selling cars. They are totally made from plastic the cheapest possible way to make an rc car but the most expensive cars to buy. Traxxas is a joke and people need to open their eyes.

Just watched the MT10 video as well and was wondering which of these 2 would you buy? Also would you rather the Redcat landslide 4s 1/8th? It’s the same price and runs 4s and is 1/8 scale even though this arrma is big for a 1/10. Thanks for any help! 🙏👍🤘👏👊
Thank you for your videos! The only real criticism I've read about that the BR-V3 is, that it has all plastic gear differentials? I think that's with all Arrma 3s, true?
It's not the same price, its 20 more and you can't blame Arrma, you should blame yourself or the hobby shop you bought it from, a lot of us have known about the v3 for quite some time now...no excuse, it's on you...
Watching RC videos from the past 3 to 5 years, it seems that Arrma has been killing Traxxas on every level, every step of the way... The only serious complaint about them has been the unresponsive, cheap radio. And now they fixed it! Some people at Traxxas have been resting on their laurels for too long. The XMAXX won't be able to save the day for much longer.
@@redline6871 The reason no one mentions parts is that there has never been a shortage: These are hobby grade vehicles and you can fit whichever motor/ESC/receiver/servo you like on them. Everyone who is into RCs knows at least a couple of companies that make aftermarket chassis parts for Arrma trucks. Some generic parts also fit. Even if Arrma ceased to exist tomorrow, there would be parts and fixes to keep these trucks running for quite a few years! And did I mention they are built like the proverbial tank?
Raxis Epitropou parts are scarce for arrma were very scarce not sure where you have been that’s why there 4s trucks are back ordered until next year. I’m talking parts support and no one will ever beat traxxas on that. If things shut down again you won’t get any parts for your arrma is still recovering from that. It’s about how you drive btw not what company bad drivers will destroy anything they touch.
Agreed. I have the V1 Big Rock (with the Tactic radio) and a Stampede 4x4 VXL and prefer the Big Rock over the Traxxas any day. Subbed too as I'm interested in the Rival MT10 so looking forward to your look at that model.
I prefer my maxx(4s 60+mph) to the hoss, stampede, rustler and I also have a summit 1/16 awesome lights. I really like the ease of use features like integrated lipo balance connector and clipless body, wish more companys would be innovative. Aramas selection is rather limited while looking generic IMO
@@psp420bam I've never owned a Maxx or XMaxx or even a rustler with the clipless body system but from everything I've seen I really don't like the clipless body - it doesn't stay on well enough. I prefer the look, performance, price, durability and features of Arrma models over Traxxas but each to their own though, thank God there's so many companies and so many models to choose from. Had to come back to this as something else that troubles me is the comment about Aramas (you do mean Arrma?) selection rather limited while looking generic - Have you actually seen a Typhon, Granite, Big Rock, Outcast, Mojave, Limitless and Infraction? They all look completely different whereas the Stampede, Hoss, Maxx, Xmaxx are like Russian dolls which all look alike and one pops out of the other.
So cool, looks amazing and its probably the next basher I buy. They are only around AUD$500 which is the limit I will spend on a toy. Still haven't found any that compares to my old tmaxx though. That thing is way fun and just keeps going and going. Great nitro bashers.
Tomley RC Before I take the plunge and outlay $560, I just noticed the Granite is around the same price. What’s the difference and which is the better buy in your opinion?
I've had mine for a week and had nothing but problems. Wheel came off due to a axle screw being loose and now the motor has locked up. I understand The motor is new so they may not have worked the bugs out yet.
@@TomleyRCmine felt that way since new. I tried messing with the punch setting but it was the same on every setting, and after a few runs, it started braking harder than usual and then the motor locked up.
Very tempted rather than wait for an outcast 4s or a kraton 4s v2. Do they have a slipper clutch and a steel spur.quite happy with it being a 3s as I'm rebuilding a flux quantum. Be for use in tarmac and smooth fields sending it to the mooooon will not be an option.
When I first got into the hobby I bought a traxxas bigfoot mostly for the nostalgia of the real life monster truck, I then got an x maxx and I thought I'd try an arrma typhon 3s, wow all I can say is I don't think I will consider another traxxas, not saying they are bad but when you can get the quality and speed from the arrma range why would I!?

Stay safe there with your family! 🖖😊
Thanks mate
Yes these are ubeliveable for the price . one thing i did notice is in the instructions they put the quick set up before the bind proceedure?my bind plug took me some time to find it was in the bubblebwrap stuck to the bag. Gave me a scare.
I didn't bother binding. I think it says that's only if you change the receiver/transmitter
Love the Big rock bro
I have my up to 100mph plus👍🏼👍🏼
def change the steering servo mine broke after the 3rd battery pack (2nd day of driving) theyre just junk from factory. i put a 30 kg in...maybe a little overkill but will be needed if you upgrade to bigger wheels and tires. perfect for getting back into the hobby. wheelies all day! my wheelie bar is already bald from asphalt lol
Fantastic new rc car my friend👍👍👍
Thank you 👍
Hi Phil. What a great truck! I've just received my V3 Senton and done an unboxing video but haven't actually run it yet which I will rectify shortly. I'm really loving these 3s Arrma's and I'm tempted to get the Big Rock too to complete my collection. Great video. 😁
Yes noticed you had one. Will watch later once my fatherly chores are over haha
@@TomleyRC Is this where I say 'what chores' and you say 'thanks very much, I'll have a pint of bitter' ?
@@TomleyRC should you tune the ESC to the highest setting or leave it stock?
Drove the hoss and was very underwelmed. The bunny hop trick got old fast. These arrma's are tanks, I'm the guy with the 8s granite from your Facebook post btw
That 8s Granite looks crazy!
@@TomleyRC thanks man. Got it to 87mph before I stripped the spur gear 😅
I just got the maxx as I didn't like the looks of the hoss or arma selection, also have a new summit 1/16
It’s good ur behaving urself with regards to kev now
Yes, he's also behaving himself 😉👍
Tomley RC Ok buddy
@Tomley RC buddy can you give link for GPS? Thanks great video mate👍
Legend he is
@@jpxc1329 who r u referring to, lol
Hearsay! Hail Traxxas.
Skate park looks fun!
Actually I want that Arrma, looks bad ass!
Tomley fp you youtube channel is packed lately bud with decent content 👌
Thanks mate 😜
Great video.i have not taken mine out yet but def, will soon.👍💪
It's good fun!
Wow 🤯 another awesome RC looks fantastic 👍 great video 👌
Thanks mate
Got mine last week and have gone through 3 suspension arms lol
Wow... hard bashing!
@@TomleyRC ya lol
Bro the are plastic give it a break
Like your video on the Big Rock V3. I'm 68 and looking to buy a rc truck. What would you start out with,Traxxas or Arena for a first timer.
A friend of mine said he put 2 x 3s batteries 🔋 in his car 🚗 and manages to get 100mph ! Crazy 🤪 bastard, he's done loads of mad shit like that so I believe him
Got the new V5 6s Kraton the other week. It is a BEAST!!!! Got unlucky and sheared a shock mount screw today (at skate park) so out of action. 😔 Arrma tough!!! LOL 😉
Good choice
Fast and seen fun to drive but 14 inches wide that cannot be 1/10 scale nice video again
Yeah, it's a big 10th Scale! lol
@@TomleyRC Ok if you say
Looks like the same skate park Kevin Talbot breaks all their stuff😂😂😂😂😇
Haha..yeah a few have said that. Not the same though
Even the same dirt track
I could barely tell it was an Arrma because it didn’t have a big gawdy wing on the back 😂
haha
Just watched the MT10 video as well and was wondering which of these 2 would you buy? Also would you rather the Redcat landslide 4s 1/8th? It’s the same price and runs 4s and is 1/8 scale even though this arrma is big for a 1/10. Thanks for any help! 🙏👍🤘👏👊
Now I have to see what's in that other box.. now👊😉
haha...hopefully coming out to play this week!
Nice video 🙏I have the Arma Big Rock 3s And live it my first Arma Rc car.😊
Thank you for your videos!
The only real criticism I've read about that the BR-V3 is, that it has all plastic gear differentials? I think that's with all Arrma 3s, true?
Yes, but they are pretty tough. My Senton BLX is from the first batch back in 2018, and still going strong
Im kinda annoyed i got the regular one a couple months ago or so and now they've released this for the same price and its so much better
Awesome RC and great bashing
Yeah I guess that is a bit annoying mate
It's not the same price, its 20 more and you can't blame Arrma, you should blame yourself or the hobby shop you bought it from, a lot of us have known about the v3 for quite some time now...no excuse, it's on you...
Watching RC videos from the past 3 to 5 years, it seems that Arrma has been killing Traxxas on every level, every step of the way... The only serious complaint about them has been the unresponsive, cheap radio. And now they fixed it! Some people at Traxxas have been resting on their laurels for too long. The XMAXX won't be able to save the day for much longer.
Agree.... and hence while I changed the title lol
No one mentions getting parts for them good luck with that
@@redline6871 The reason no one mentions parts is that there has never been a shortage: These are hobby grade vehicles and you can fit whichever motor/ESC/receiver/servo you like on them.
@@redline6871 Traxxas is no better than Arrma partswise in my part of the world, and their spares fare worse than some Chinese cheapos...
Snapping rear driveshafts left and right with minor bashing but I still love the truck. Just wish they used metal front and rear cvds “stock”
Wow this car is really fast
Gonna wait for the bashing video.Any chance getting the new Senton as well? Not the 4x4 mega i mean.
I already have the first Senton, apart from the shocks that’s pretty bullet proof. So I won’t be getting the newer one
Really nice basher... but can't get it off banggood though 🤣 can't wait for the next one
haha...give it a few years and you probably will be able to get it 😅
Epic video again and driving
Thanks mate
A beast of a car
Agreed. I have the V1 Big Rock (with the Tactic radio) and a Stampede 4x4 VXL and prefer the Big Rock over the Traxxas any day. Subbed too as I'm interested in the Rival MT10 so looking forward to your look at that model.
Cheers mate. Hoping to get the MT10 out this week
@@pipnmaz u lost me at durability...arrmas are awesome rc ...but durable not even close
Would you say this or the budget 6s build is better? Because the are about the same price... well, at least in germany
Incredible Monster Truck ! 👍👍👍👍
Did you tighten your slipper clutch? Picked it up couple days ago, can't get it to wheelie at all
Can't believe you've not had the Losi lasernut yet?? The associated Mt is absolutely awesome for its small form factor 👍🤘
I'm not a fan of the Lasernut's looks... but I have ordered the New SBR 2.0 😍
The Rival MT10 is nice..I have the OEM version..Helion Avenge 10MT
Nice I want one now.
The hoss is a bit too expensive. You should make it 4s😜
Yes I think I will
@@TomleyRC nice
Definitely better value than a Hoss (here in the UK)
Yeah it is! This cost me just over £300
So cool, looks amazing and its probably the next basher I buy. They are only around AUD$500 which is the limit I will spend on a toy. Still haven't found any that compares to my old tmaxx though. That thing is way fun and just keeps going and going. Great nitro bashers.
Yes, it's a really decent basher
Tomley RC Before I take the plunge and outlay $560, I just noticed the Granite is around the same price. What’s the difference and which is the better buy in your opinion?
@@chris929rr7 big rock all the way
I've had mine for a week and had nothing but problems. Wheel came off due to a axle screw being loose and now the motor has locked up. I understand The motor is new so they may not have worked the bugs out yet.
Well this has had 3 packs through it now, the motor seems a bit 'coggy' at very low throttle, but other than that, it's all good
@@TomleyRCmine felt that way since new. I tried messing with the punch setting but it was the same on every setting, and after a few runs, it started braking harder than usual and then the motor locked up.
always been watching arrma for a bit and its tempting to get one! was looking at the granite!
I've ordered mine today can't wait
Very tempted rather than wait for an outcast 4s or a kraton 4s v2.
Do they have a slipper clutch and a steel spur.quite happy with it being a 3s as I'm rebuilding a flux quantum.
Be for use in tarmac and smooth fields sending it to the mooooon will not be an option.
You talked me into it. It arrived 2 days ago. Trying to figure out connector. I have mostly IC3 on everything else.
I believe you'll need the ic3 to ic5 adaptor.
Arrma are really affordable and yes they have a few issues. But they are then number 1 in my mind
@@TomleyRC I definitely want another arrma, donyou think they will have any more 4s kraton/outcasts out again soon? I'd love an 8s outcast but I'd have to work on the other half for a bit 😂
@@krelakuma outcast 8s is junk stock. Cost like 1k+ to bash
I got one, super fast out the box...does have some durability issues but nothing that cant be fixed with 100$ more on aluminum upgrade parts
PHIL BUDDY MONEY is no probs but what do u recommend vortex or big rock for gearal fun and SKATE park mild bashing sir?🇬🇧🕊️✌️👍
Better basher than the 4s-6skaiju and 4s-6s outcast?🤔
Cheaper than all of them and just as good. You can’t get the Kaiju in the UK, looks a decent rig though.
First up, great video, well done man, gotta say it looks sweet as, but not for me, too pricey and not my type of car, but nice
Thanks Julian. I've got a soft spot for 1/10 Bashers... and the Big Rock has been on my list for sometime!
@@TomleyRC i have just one basher the carnage, went for this as parts are so easy and its quick enough for an old fart like me
Damn! Was thinking I should go for the arrma senton v3.... Then I see this video 🤦♂️ What would you recommend?
Thanks for your videos man! So do u think this is better than Traxxas Maxx taking the price into account or u consider the extra money for the Maxx is justified? I was thinking about both of them but I don't want to feel the big rock is just not enough once I've bought it instead of the Maxx....
The arrma will take a Hella more beating stock then what traxxas will
@@ericmayernick7804 I've had the Maxx since April now. Only broken parts after plenty of hard bash: 2 spurgears, 1 wheel foam and 1 driveshaft because of the self-right system(stopped to use it and hasn't happened again).I don't know how much beating worked have and Arrma taken but, as far as I've read and seen know... I don't think you're right. Anyway, we all have different experiences.
@@winstonsmith9619 well to each their own. You can read all you want. I own both and beat both the same. looking at the 2 side by side the arrma is built much better. I am constantly fixing the Maxx vs the big rock . Just my hands on experience with both
@@ericmayernick7804 yes... I do read all I want... Plenty of people saying the opposite including all the RUclipsrs who I asked before getting the Maxx... But I guess everybody has a different experience. Take care, buddy.
Nice review 👍
Thanks mate
Better is every single way ..naa not even close ..but most definitely a very awesome rc .
they seem to have build a very good truck. but I can't understand why they got so lazy with the body. from afar you wont even see if the body is on. imo rc should be painted in bright striking colors so they get some character. They could have added a dash of pink ;) honestly.Do they make clear body shells? like your video! keep on bash erm... I mean blaaasting;)
What do you think of the stock tires? I have seen a lot of people upgrading. If you were to upgrade what would you use?
I think they are fine. I think a lot of people are putting Prolines on
Great rig! Needs tires for street runs and maybe some GPM C-hubs and front spindles
It 100% does need street tyres... I couldn't control it when I did the speed runs!
No problem running my Hoss on tarmac, dirt trail or skate park. Because the tyres are better and... Click bait v reality.
@@marctownsend5711 Yea plus the Hoss is SUPER SLOW!! Lol..Tires aren't an issue when top speed is 35 mph on 3s lol..The Big Rock does nearly 20 mph more than the Hoss..But I agree the Hoss does come with some nice tires for sure
@@TomleyRC I've got some Speedtreads on order..We will see how they do
@@philthyco1 Your numbers are a bit out but hey. I was out bashing with a Typhon 3sBLX owning friend yesterday, there is clearly a difference between theoretical speed and usable speed in practice but we're perilously close to fanboy territory here so as long as you are enjoying yourself out there that's great, because I am.
At around minute 5, when he is moving the truck, is that sound normal? Sounds like if the motor gear is loose.
Yeah, completely normal. Arrma gears are very coarse. Solid truck!!!! Can't go wrong with Arrma.
Great review!!
Thanks Joe
Does anybody know if the new one is better than the old one? And what parts did they upgrade actually
