I’ve watched all of your videos on the 3s line up and I’ve got to say you’re the inspiration I needed to finally pull the trigger on the big rock. After 10 years of being out of the hobby, I’m getting back into it and it’s thanks to you. Cheers from across the pond!
That explanatory Clarkson montage is excellent work - and the Hammond reference, too. The power settings themselves seem well thought out. I bet I´d end up just leaving it in the Hammond mode.
Ah yes I remember trying to get my Granite to 50mph. I did eventually get it to 48mph off camera but like you say it's the ballooning tyres that make it a bit difficult to control at speed. These are so quick that I can't imagine that anyone could need a faster RC. You need so much space and really 40mph is plenty. Nice video and Top Gear/Grand Tour montage :-)
ZOOOOMM!!!! My hun just got this for her self. It hasn’t been on the ground yet waiting for the weekend. Another awesome video my friend 👏🏻👌🏻from Denver Colorado
Nice run. It will do around 54 55. Jay Tee proved it with gps. But its double tough to control at very high speed. Because of the tires ballooning. I have ordered the duramax tires for mine in radial format 14mm to try to have better performance . Have a great day bro. 😎👍
@@TomleyRC the Hoons should look sweet and give much more control to you. Love to see a video when you get em on. I love driving mine on hard ground mainly. I am old and don't want to have to clean it 🤣😂😅😜 have a good one man.
A bit late to the party, but I hear a lot of good things about Pro-Line Trenchers. The belted version have no ballooning for all those who want best top speed performance. They are a bit heavier tho so some worry about premature wear on the driveshafts and transmission gears
I am impressed more than a lot, it's fast , very fast and cool looking. The power it has for off road use it's more than enough, don't ask more speed than this. Of course you can change electronics and make it faster, but man it's monster. I will buy it in less than a week.
Good try . I just ordered one . They were $100 off today. Hard to beat that, I was looking at the Kyosho Mad Van V2 , same price for me . But I think the Arrma ia a lot more truck and value . I can alway put a Van body on it , LOL

That's cool truck and a cool video, Phil. Love the Top Gear references. It sure is tough after a near 50mph roll or two on tarmac with no breakages! Hope all is good with you, dude. :-)
FOR-Y-EIGHT on the Clarkson setting!!?? Jeremy might get cross over that!! 😜😂😄😂 Maybe a fresh charge, like others have said... Regardless, that thing's a BEAST!! I'm getting the Felony next year. Can't wait! 😁 Very entertaining Mate! 💯 Carmine ✈🚂🚙
I'm new to this.... so i'm just reading now. My question is does the batteries have to be " hard shell ' .... i have plenty " soft shell " 2 and 3S batteries .
Nice video Tommy RC, I have an earlier version of this truck and love it. Do you think that all of the parts are inter changeable as my Big Rock loves to roll over? Great channel Tom. Eric from Aus.
Insane truck, very resistent, looks happy jumping on cement ramps!. Maybe needs a second try! Great video (as usual man). Awesome try. Have a great day! I like a lot watch your vids! Yeaah
Don't try a scandi flick on 75, you will definitely roll it.... Love it, must admit i always thought across the parking spaces as opposed to down the road was better for speed runs.
I think you need to get the trio together to run cars too. But I think May would like to do this stuff but I think he would prefer crawling because it's slow. You know mr. Or Captain slow Slow. Lol
@@TomleyRC hi bud, check out your instagram I sent you a message, got a present for you coming soon 👍 I love the big rock, if I did not have the granite 3s blx the big rock would be in my collection for sure.
Becareful, the driveshafts is made out of plastic. I broke mines at max speed bashing. I don't think I can do wheelies on my 50c lipo but mines broke in 15min with the plastic driveshafts.(Back in box waiting for part delivery.)
Hey Tomley how has that pirates 3 buggy held up? Is it durable? Worth the 300$ price? Thanks. Great run. Love my big rock. You need to swap those wheels. I grabbed some duratrax bandito MT tires that have been good.
I’ve only run it the once so far. Have new higher gearing to try, but if it’s anything like the Short Course (SC-8) then it should hold up well. Killed the front diff on the SC-8 but that was running 6s on badlands... lots of abuse!
@@TomleyRC ha! mine's doin much better now after some wrenchin' TLC. i replaced both rear driveshafts and U joints. they kept popping out of from the differential. i threw the 3S Typhon shafts on it, (same as far as i can tell) stuck 6S TYPHON shocks on it now just waiting for the chassis to get died. probably this afternoon!
I think you could have done fifty if you had more control and you were not using the whole runway, a little more experience at the wheel and I think you can do it it!
The 50/75/100; May/Hammomd/Clarkson analogy is one of the best things I've heard in a while. Spot on!

what is the run time for this car on those batteries ?
20-30mins
I think arrma shouldve used the dx3 tx & rx for this, adding even just a cheap gyro helps it a lot
Looks hard to control, when close to 50mph on road. Probably, because of typical rtr tires.
Take it off road, to the Ramp & beyond 😎😊
Yeah, tyres are not made for the road. The Skate Park/BMX Track is where it belongs!
I see you can buy the 31 tooth pinion specifically for this model. Is that even possible?
Yeah, not sure that will fit!

love the explosion, best to try for 50+ on a first run fresh pack, so when is the Arrma infraction arriving....90 out of the box
Yes, I'm sure it had 50 in it.. it was pretty cold as well! I have a Felony & a Limitless. The Felony has not had a run yet!... soon hopefully!
That car is all over the place that is why you are battling with your top end run. Its pulling to the left you need to trim it first

haha... yeah sometimes!
Just hire hammond
Captain slow its the most safe
