It is a pre-production car. Not everything works in it.
Funny, Duster was from the original Chrysler corp. It was a light sedan with a V8. A "sleeper" Stellantis gets to use the name.
I hope we get the Peugeot E-208, etc. some day.
I actually really like the look of this! 😮
What a shame there’s no diesel
As always, a cracking review !
Why no Diesel???
Not on sale yet?
Wow, looks really good! Finally, a Dacia that doesn't look like a fridge on wheels! :)))
I feel like that patches of fabric to cover panels on the doors help with the whole "soft touch "
would like to see a comparison between an MG HS and the Duster, especially seeing the discounts available of 16% on the HS, comfort, economy running cost ETC
no diesel =no buy, too bad, as 1.5 dci was not bad but 1.6 would be even better
Excellent presentation . Well done.
Thanks, i hope to see a test drive report as well!
Best looking one yet. How are they on reliability?
does it have radar assisted radar cruise?
Dacia looks great but the pricing is now coming closer to main stream rivals.
which is why people will compare it to more main stream cars (like a Honda Jazz) ....... where the faults like driving dynamics and road holding will be critisised.
thats my only issue with Dacia.
I have had four Dacia's now (as thye have a loyal following of existing owners).
Had two Dusters and two sandero stepways.
Are they reliable ??
@@HS-sr9ww all four of them I have owned have been very reliable
Who in their right mind would compare a Duster with a Jazz?
@@BeetsPerSecond the price range is now quite close to
@@BeetsPerSecond here in the UK the top of the range duster is £21K and the bottom of the range Jazz is £26K.
A bit close on price
Good looking car.
I think Stellantis will do quite well with the shift to BEVs. Better quality than the Chinese designed cars. 208 I read on here is the best selling car in Europe.
Since 2014, Dacia cars have been manufactured in Spain by Renault. Before that, they were manufactured in Romania, giving the brand its name. Nice!
No Dacia plant exists in Spain. There is one plant in RO, 2 in Morocco and one in China for Spring. Usually, the higher models and trims are produced in RO.
Great review! Such a shame diesel has been dropped. I will have to look at alternatives once my PCP is up :-(
Tried to have a look on their website. Utterly baffling. I don't want an electronic or a hybrid. Can I duscover if they are going to do a petrol version? Nope. Just lots of glossy images and video clips zilch for clear info.
It's hard to knock them too much as they undeniably offer good value for money. The flip-side is that the are built to a price and offer zero feel-good factor. You pays your money...
You feel good when you look at it, looks great.
@@gicugigel3790 Looks are subjective. Very few people who could afford something better would choose one of these.
@@resnonverba137 yes, looks are subjective, but no one can say this car looks bad.
Alot of customers dont buy the cheaper Duster, but the fully loaded one, which costs as much as an suv from a higher rated brand.
Has anybody been in a 10+ year old car with soft touch plastics in them and seen what happens as it gets older? 😂 ive been in various old BMW's and Audis and watched all of those wonderful soft touch stuff sag and even fall off. Meanwhile, the hard plastics havent moved or reshaped one bit. Ill take hard plastic all day long please. Im not one to stroke my dashboard while driving.
Not worth considering until they learn how to put awd and automatic gear on same vehicle
Should still be able to get a diesel
Pretty cheap and pretty basic ? A lot of us want that , a no nonsense car that does the job without breaking the bank , this new one looks ok but no conventional petrol engines like the last one , we can’t all find LPG or bio fuel or even want it and hybrid 😮
The 100 bi fuel mpg works out at 36 mpg, that's very poor by todays standards. 3 cylinder engine should be doing at least 50 mpg, i get 50mpg out of my 5 series BMW 2 litre.
SHOW YOUR SOURCES OF MPG INFORMATION.
Well they said it can do 800 miles on 50L of LPG and 50L of petrol combined which works out 36mpg, the sources are mentioned dum dum.🤣🤣 @@HIOP0
The hybrid needed to be a AWD with a rear motor
I might buy this one. Now that it is on the new undercarriage.
How can making two analog dials and one BW screen in the middle be cheaper in production than single color screen? That makes no sense.
Well the new Duster XC40 will be a top seller for sure !!!!😂😂😂
8:15 There is not going to be a TCe 140 hybrid! The ICE engine of the hybrid is an (old) 1.6 NA with 94 HP. Also the Mild hybrid TCe 130 does not have the same ICE engine as in the current model. It's a new 1.2 liter, 3 cylinder engine, not the TCe 1.33.
UK it’s the 140 according to website🤨
Combined, the ICE engine and the electric motor, they have 140hp. So what's the point of mentioning the separate hp for the ICE engine?
@@sebastianstoica578 It seems that my comment was misunderstood! My point was that the hybrid version will not have a turbo ICE (i suppose you know that TCe is Renault name for it's turbocharged engines) as stated in the video but a naturally aspirated one. Which is really not the same thing.
Dacia are following a bad trend of introducing more tech people don't want and increasing the cost, big touch screens, lack of real buttons and knobs for radio and climate I mean if phones are banned while driving why move everything to a touch screen ?
i don't need keyless entry or push button start, it's getting insane now so much tech shoved in our faces at prices we don't want to pay for stuff we don't want or many of us.
I wish dacia kept things basic and simple or at least the option.
So tempted to get one of these , ive been a Seat man for years, but this just looks ace 👌
amazing!!!! bravoooo Romania!!!!!
looks great only tail lights can be better
Automatic available??
Why are people so hung up on and anti (so called) "scratchy plastics"? Yes, they are a bit harder, but mine is harder wearing and a lot easier to keep clean. Plus padded vinyl isn't always good in extreme sunlight. The only place I would add padding is (like you said) around where you rest your elbows. We've come to the conclusion that Dacia's cars are not cheap, but other brands are over expensive!
Test drive??
