Myles Kennedy is one of the nicest guys you will ever meet. Very humble for a man who is one of the best, if not THE best, male vocalists in American rock music today. He sings with his full “mask”, hence the “twangy-ness” to his vocal styling. Very high tenor. He has that amazing ability to sing in a low range, making the earth shake, then slide up to glass breaking notes. And make it look effortless in the process. Not to mention an amazing guitarist as well. Rebecca, if you ever get the chance to meet him, do it! Extremely nice guy. Love watching your responses to the talents of others while being so very talented yourself! You rock!
I agree. Myles Kennedy (Alter Bridge), Ivan Moody (Five Finger Death Punch) and Brent Smith (Shinedown), for me, are the best male vocals in American Rock today.
He is super nice. And even thought he spent 2018 being everyone’s therapist, and having to constantly hear about it - he still carried the burden and knocked it out of the park every night.
I think Alter Bridge is one of the most complete band of the last 30 years...is impressive how they play live and sound like a cd and the skills every member has. Unbelievable.
@Logikure the Myles's feeling in his solo part is so beautiful, very melodic, and Mark's shredding is agressive, and very intense. I like Myles's style more, so i may agree with him. But the whole solo of Blackbird is one of the best i've heard!

Not many people know this but he had auditioned for the mighty Led Zeppelin at some point (around 2009 or just after) when they were thinking of reuniting without Robert Plant.
To me he's the next Chris Cornell man! Until I heard Myles Kennedy's voice I couldn't think of anyone new who matched his passion, vocal strength and just epicness. Like some of the best frontman of 70s and 90s. Even went back and heard his Mayfield Four stuff and I can't believe with Kennedy's voice he didn't become established with that group. In a different time, like the 90s everyone would know Kennedy's name! Godamn processed rap and bubblegum pop domination today! Ruining the world!

The lead guitarist is Mark Tremonti, who's an absolute master songwriter and amazing vocalist in his own right. He was the guitarist for Creed. Check out his solo band Tremonti. His song "Dust" is incredible. Amazing stuff
The entire band is the Creed with Miles. Been a fan of Mark from the start. He's a riff making machine, such a knack for creating. Underrated for sure.

Hitting the pedal board with his feet, doing chord swells with the guitar volume knob and all this while singing plus guitar (he's doing the guitar solo's too). Hitting all the registers, keeping the crowd engaged, he's really working hard other than just singing.
All the vocal coaches who react to this performance do not consider about this fact. They just focus on Myles' singing. Only Myles know how hard is sing those vocals while being a lead and rhythm guitarist. You mentioned a very important point brother. Thanks for that
So true! I’ve worked with a vocal coach for over a year and although I don’t sing yet with my band, I probably have 10-20 changes per song on guitar ranging from switching pedals to switching pickups, picking technique, volume swells, etc. that would require the most focus imaginable also do while singing like Myles. The man is as pro as it gets!
Myles is insanely talented, I think with him, he encompasses the 'dream singer' thing most of us musicians out there spend forever searching for. And, so versatilite! I firmly believe that's why he's got the gig with Slash. If you know much about Slash, you know he's been looking for that singer for a looooooong time. @@mcmerly1355 Same here. They pulled it off flawlessly and with the live orchestra behind them... holy crap. And that note. Myles is incredible and Mark's vocals were buttery smooth as well.
I ran into Myles before one of his shows on his solo tour and he is so down to earth and is one of the kindest people I have ever met! I had the opportunity to tell him how much Blackbird means to me. I wrote a text to a close friend of mine using some of the lyrics from the song before he passed away from cancer and shared the song with him. Now the song has a special place in my heart and I have a tattoo in honor of my friend.
I lost my brother 4 years ago when he was 46 years old. This song was introduced to me shortly after, and it so connects me to him. Hearing the passion and even the pain in Myles' voice takes me back every time. Hearing you talking about and admiring his singing, and remembering where this song takes me, I'm sobbing right now. Thank you for confirming what I've believed for so long.
I know everyone wants to see "words darker than their wings" but their performance that stood out to me was "in loving memory" live in Amsterdam. The emotion and range in that song blew me away. I'm a grown ass, 40 year old man and it tears me up everytime. Beautiful.
Myles has one of the most amazing voices. And, he's not only in Alter Bridge, but also Myles Kennedy & the Conspirators, with Slash. Great pure voice; Lemmy from Motorhead said "God, that guy can sing!" when he first heard him...

I agree. Everyone says Wembly, but i think Amsterdam is better, especially vocally. The band is recorded slightly better here, but the vocals are a big difference.
During a “Guitar Center” interview, Myles stated he was partially deaf from doing song mixing with headphones maxed out. And still, he performs with such an amazing voice. Music from the heart. Wow!

You however, appreciate the differences, and the seemingly small things that actually make a bigger difference to a song than people would believe. Just tiny things that put in the right place bring out so much beautiful emotion. Things the songwriter put there for a reason. Love your reactions and breakdowns of everything. Would be great if you could react to Alter Bridge Words darker than their wings at the Royal Albert Hall, such an awesome song and really showcases myles’s ( lead singer ) and mark’s vocals ( lead guitarist ). Thanks!!! You’re awesome!!
You hear and feel what we heavier genre fans hear and feel. So often we heavy rock and metal lovers are misjudged by our friends, family and neighbors. It's truely awesome and inspiring that you can respond to a lovely soprano and in the next video you can feel the emotional melodic flow of a good hard heavy song and respond positively. I liked you're reactions to Tool, Corey Taylor, Nightwish, and Disturbed as well. Personally, I have recently came to enjoy the performance mix of Exit Eden. I like the bravery of genre mash ups. Some days you need the lyrics, some days you need the instruments, but on all days, what grooves you, soothes you! ❤
I love seeing somebody's life changed by my favorite artists. This was extremely great to watch. Thank you. Listening to her talk about Myles' solo like "Oh, honey, hold on. Mark is about to blow your mind" 🤣
Myles is from my hometown of Spokane and he paid his dues before getting his big break. My buddy went to school with him and Craig Montoya the bass player from everclear. My brother went to his guitar lessons called learn to burn right next door to Dan's barber shop and Mark Morse was a great man he knew we didn't have that much money so half the time he wouldn't charge us for lessons.
You are awesome and hilarious! You literally took all the same emotions I felt and were able to describe them perfectly and eloquently! Made my day lol
Hey just wanted to say this is the second video of yours I’ve watched, the first being the Watch Over You. I’m really enjoying your videos and your charisma. Keep up the reviews and the great content
His voice killed me the first time I heard it. There's a song called My Champion by this band that has amazing harmony. Not to mention, the song is lyrically uplifting.
Myles wrote the lyrics for Mark Morse... he also sold me my 1st guitar, some synths, custom Tama drumset and recording gear. His passing was a great loss to many... he was such a good friend to so many musicians.
Beautiful analysis. Love that song and saw Myles Kennedy playing live that was awesome. Very charismatically sensitive. To me it’s probably now the best male singer alive since the death of Chris Cornell, Chester Bennington and Kurt Cobain 🤟🏼 much respect
Again, enjoyed your review comments. Was not familiar with this band until recently but now am a fan. Oh, and your braided pigtails and glasses are too cute for words!

I love how Mark Tremonti rocks a little picture of Dimebag below the bridge of his guitar!
WHY ALWAYS REACT TO THIS PERFORMANCE! Myles was sick here, much better is "Live in Amsterdam", but anybody react to that :(
I think it's because it's the latest version of it live (prior to Albert Hall)
@@joeretro797 And the most view...but no the best
The talent on that stage is hard to compete with in this modern day of rock.
MYLES is absolutely of another planet 😊 for his talent, his voice and he is a man very complete 💥🔥💪🎤🎤🎤
Rebecca the intro is a reviewed version of Blackbird from the Beatles
It annoys me so much that she doesn't mention this..
Myles Kennedy is so damn powerful!!! I remember hearing Alter Bridge like 10 years ago! Badass!
Her reaction to marks solo was hilarious haha you can tell she knows he’s nasty
Justin Hobgood facts 😂
When she moans to it tho 😂
Pear Jam- Black(MTV UNPLUGGED VERSION) Please Rebecca!!!
I love pear jam on my toast in the morning.
@@Stringwar That sounds awesome.
When you are in the moment of the music, you are in the complete bliss of self peace.
Words Darker Than Their Wings live at Royal Albert Hall, please!!!
One of the most underrated singers ever
Words darker than their wings live at Albert hall..... please!!!
If you loved 'Watch over you'. You should listen to 'In loving memory of' by Alter Bridge. One of my favorites.
“Embrace your mistakes cus they’re gonna be your friends ” I didn’t know how much I needed to hear this
To say Myles has an amazing voice is a huge understatement. He's on his own level.
Oh wow. More stories about Myles pls
You are awesome and hilarious! You literally took all the same emotions I felt and were able to describe them perfectly and eloquently! Made my day lol
Please PLEASE react to Alter Bridge's Words Sarkee Than Their Wings LIVE in Royal Albert Hall. I swear you'd love it.
I love watching you fan-girling. I have learned much from you and appreciate vocals much more. Thank you.
I own everything Alter Bridge has ever recorded ❤️
Rebecca, I love your videos! Your enthusiasm is contagious.
Thanks sweet pea
Sees "Vocal Coach Reacts to Alter Bridge - Blackbird- live" in notifications...grabs a box of Kleenex because tears will be shed.
Again, enjoyed your review comments. Was not familiar with this band until recently but now am a fan. Oh, and your braided pigtails and glasses are too cute for words!
One more Myles Kennedy Alter Bridge song you’ll love “Calm the Fire”. Interested for your take on his opening head voice and changed into a surreal one.
Check out his vocals on Mayfield four-summer girl
Everytime i hear that live performance, i will always get goosebumps. Amazing
This song always gives me goosebumps.
one of the greatest rock vocalists of the 20th century myles wipes the floor with anyone with his tone, range and vocal skills and plays the guitar like a beast too. end of.
I see Myles, I click! 😍😍
She is in love with Myles... We all are 💙💙😁
You should give the live version from this show of the song In Loving Memory that Mark Tremonti wrote for his mother after she passed away from cancer it's beautiful you won't be disappointed
I just subscribed because I love listening to your critiques and watching your reactions. I loved your reaction to the bass line at 9:06. Myles emotes more emotion in his voice than any other rock vocalist I have ever heard. He is also a great guitarist. Keep them coming Rebecca.
First off, I love Myles Kennedy! Secondly, I love how sincerely you feel about the music you review and it makes you even more beautiful than you already are! You’re the best Rebecca!!!
Thanks for reacting to this song. It rips me apart everytime. So much emotion. You seem to just understand the emotion. I love that. Thanks a bunch
