Hey!! been watching your videos for a long time and waking up to see a Myles Kennedy interview and this reaction made my week. The interview was killer you did an amazing job!! If I can make a recommendation, you HAVE to listen to Mark Tremonti’s vocals when he sings lead. He has developed so much as a singer and this single from his last song shows that improvement. ruclips.net/video/AvO_YDC-FSQ/видео.html. Getting to hear him and Myles together is always a treat. And as a fun fact, there are videos you can find of Mark doing lead singing on alter bridge songs where Myles normally would but couldn’t because he was sick. Really awesome to hear.
You seriously need to check out Words Darker than Their Wings live at the Royal Albert Hall FT the Parallax orchestra! Healthy Myles will blow you away! (He was sick during this Blackbird Wembley performance, I always suggest doing the Amsterdam one)

I have nothing but respect for Myles and he's probably my favorite hard rock singer from the last 15 years, but even I was impressed by his performance of that tune live. I haven't watched it lately but I think I remember Mark looking sideways when he hits THAT note near the end.
When I lost my wife after her battle with cancer, I had no idea how to express the multitude of emotions you go through both during and after. The sadness, anger and suffering are sung about to no end. Never in my life had I ever heard lyrics that so accurately conveyed even a small part of the "I hate that you are gone, but also glad you are no longer suffering" aspect of these types of journeys that so many have gone through. Eight years later and I still cry when I listen to this song, be it just a tear or two or full on blubbering moment. Top it off with the crazy vocal talent or Myles Kennedy and the word "amazing" doesn't even begin to describe it. Well done sir. Well done indeed.
It's really night and day. The Amsterdam performance is unbelievable. You hear the Wembley version and go "Man, what a great performance.". And it is. But then you listen to the Amsterdam version, and you go "Wow! Myles was on another PLANET that night!" Just extraordinary. Anytime I want to hear this live on YT, I watch the Amsterdam version. 🔥
Yeah, in the Wembley version he's quite clever how he pulls out of the really high notes but still makes it sound good. But the Amsterdam vocals are next-level.

A dear friend of mine lost his life a couple of months ago to COVID 19 and just when I was watching this video I realised that he was the one that introduced me to Alter Bridge. I always loved this song, but from now on it will have a complete different meaning for me. Rest in peace, my friend 😭
Mark Tremonti is one of my favorite, if not my favorite guitarist of all time. His riffs/chord progressions and leads are absolutely insane, even since his creed days.

This song is so beautiful. My little girl died 4 years ago, and we describe her as our little bird that flew away. The lyrics in this song mean so much to me. Brings a tear to my eye every time hearing it. I hold her picture tightly on her birthday and tell her I will fly away someday too and find her again 💔🐦
You just complimented Myles so much about his really expressive voice, but I have to say that you are one of the most expressive person I have ever seen, you just put a lot of thought, emotion and depth when conveying a message, it is awesome! Even your facial expressions are on a different level! I have been enjoying your content for a long time, keep them coming please! Congrats!!!
This is one of, if not The greatest rock songs released in the last 20 years. It's very well known yet wasn't ever released as a single. I've listened to it hundreds of times yet it still gives me chills
I am blessed to be from and live in his home town of Spokane, and let me tell you, if you want an emotional performance of this, that's the time to see it. As evidenced, he can easily sell out Stadiums, but when he comes home, he keeps it to a small venue that can only hold 1000 people or so. And all of his family, including the Widow of the Gentleman this song is written for are there in the balcony. Being able to see this song performed here is very intimiate, because it's as if he is singing this song to the widow.
I absolutely LOVE and adore her facial expressions as she experiences listening to the magnificent talent of Myles, especially considering her professional level as well. She’s just so cute and giddy (giddy-as most all of us were the first time we heard this song) live performances this good says a lot about an artist! She reminds me a lot of myself, the way I have to pause and listen to certain parts again, just to experience it again. I think I do it because I am ocd 😊 I’m subscribing to her channel. “Charismatic” is the perfect description for her- I can’t wait to watch more of her reviews and reactions. 💜
I've been a Mark Tremonti fan since the Creed days, and my best friend and I played a lot of their songs in the band I was in back in high school. That best friend passed away from complications from a lifetime of drug abuse, and this song came up in my playlist on the way from the funeral, and I had to pull over and just cry. I don't know if he ever had a chance to hear it himself, as this was very soon after this album dropped, but I know he would have loved it (he was a guitarist). I shared the video to his mom after I got home, and she agreed with me that he would have loved it. One of us shares it on the anniversary of his death every year, and I heard that his daughter learned it on guitar to play in her band just last summer...
Only found this group, by accident, about 6 months ago. They have become my second favourite band of the groups I have discovered since watching RUclips about a year and a half ago. First being Nightwish, my favourite of all time. I’m in my 70’s, with a bit of time on my hands and love discovering all these new artists. It’s a bit different to how it was back in the day. The internet has made all this possible because if you had to rely on the radio awesome group like these would still be unheard of here. ❤️🤘🎸🇦🇺
Glad to read that you got to find this amazing band. I mainly listen to Christian rock, so I know how you feel about not hearing some of the great music from the past or present and finding it on RUclips or Spotify. AB is one of the non~Christian bands I still listen to, as like Creed the subjects they cover and the imagery in their songs. They could be mistaken for a Christian band. And they are also amazing. Marc is a great song writer and is one of my all time favorites on guitar.
I honestly feel like Alter Bridge never got the popularity they truly deserve. Just so you know, the drummer is Scott Phillips, bassist is Brian Marshall, and of course one of the greatest guitarists in history Mark Tremonti. The 3 of them were the original members of Creed. After the split with vocalist Scott Stapp, they eventually formed Alter Bridge with Myles. I love how Mark and Myles are not only fantastic vocalists, but they also sing through their instruments. Very rare talents to find. Alter Bridge will forever be my favorite band due to their raw, natural talent. 🤘🤘
Tears. Tears every single time I hear this masterpiece. Even with pauses, analyses, and ads. I'm lucky to be alive during a time to hear this song. Fantastic analysis, TCM! Thank you so much for this - and all your videos.
As many others have suggested, "Words darker than their wings" live at Royal Albert Hall is probably the absolute best live performance in Myles's career
In Loving Memory is great song by them as well. It was written by Mark and it's about his mom. But Miles does a great job Conveying his meaning and emotions. You can really feel that song. It makes me cry almost every time I hear it.
If you watch the movie "Rock Star" with Mark Walberg, Myles is the guy that takes over lead vocals at the end of the movie. Before Alter Bridge was a thing..........and the guitar player use to be lead guitar in Greed and the bass player was in Greed as well.
Look into Midori (shred and very technical) playing together with Miyako (smooth and Gary Moore influenced). For the smooth style go to 9 minutes into the reaction video found by searching on "Just Another Reactor reacts to Lovebites - Break The Wall", The original video to which he reacted is unfortunately nowhere to be found. The shred part immediately precedes that.
A metal psalm for an absent, gone-forever friend, this is a cornerstone in the Alter Bridge back catalog. Love how Myles starts it with finger picking from McCartney. The heir-apparent to Jeff Buckley delivers yet again, even when under the weather, and shows off guitar chops to boot. Next up, please, "Words Darker Than Their Wings" Live At The Royal Albert Hall, where Myles links with Buckley at the end and takes the torch into the modern era.

Found you via the RUclips algorithm and immediately had to see if you covered this song. It’s such an emotional song that means a lot to me and I’m sure many others. I loved your breakdown and how much you clearly care about this. Watching someone nerd out over what they are passionate about is infectious. Keep up the great work, I’ve subscribed and will watch your other breakdowns :)
Hi Elizabeth, I loved this performance, especially when Myles paid homage to the Beatles, "Blackbird," as the intro to this song. I absolutely enjoyed the dueling guitar solos between Myles and Mark, and that arpeggio riff at the end was phenomenal. Thank you, Elizabeth!!! 💙
I will listen to ANYTHING Myles sings. He is amazingly talented, really down to earth and his music is truly life saving. Plus constantly supporting new music for AB, Slash, and his solo career, possibly the hardest working person in rock. Having seen 290 concerts, nothing beats those times I was able to spend nights stand in front of Myles or Mark playing. Their concerts are my goto place every time now. RockOnMyFriendsV
Why is it...that tears are running down my face...listening to your comments about his voice control. I love Alter Bridge, Myles Kennedy, Mark Tremonti and your reaction to all of the above. Music moves feelings...Love It....
The music of Alterbridge got me through my divorce 10 years ago, played all the albums back and forth everyday. Such an amazingly good band. (And still there are people that give it thumps down???) Elisabeth, I love your show here on YT, the best!
Please allow me to jump on the Words Darker Than Their Wings Live at the Royal Albert Hall bandwagon. In thinking about what he said in your interview with him, this Blackbird performance was when he still was working on his vocals where as the RAH performance was done when he "mastered" the techniques he uses now. You also get the benefit of hearing Tremonti sing and a full orchestra playing as well. Seems like a win, win ,win.
How much great content are we getting Friday? Myles and Myles of it! 😁 Anyway, this channel's first Alter Bridge reaction is still something that I watch to take the edge off a bad day, so I can't wait to see Elizabeth's take on what looks to be another powerhouse performance!
Myles is amazing, but so is the entire band!!! In 2012, Creed did a reunion tour where I worked. I rarely get starstruck, but I saw Mark Tremonti (guitarist) in the catering room at lunch. Just the two of us. I finally said, "Creed is great, but I really LOVE your other band, Alter Bridge!" He giggled and we chatted for a moment. After their show, I met Brian & Scott P. (bass & drums). All nice guys and super talented! Myles was just the change they needed. The entire 'Blackbird' album is incredible!
This song is the reason why Alter Bridge is my favorite band of all time. I even have the Blackbird tattooed on my arm, this song will be played at my funeral.
Great choice. I always recommend this over the studio version. Just one of the many great ones off that show. I also love Ghost of Days Gone By. And as many have recommended the Albert Hall material. One you may really like from the early era is Shed my skin. And my all time fav In Loving Memory, either studio or live is equally awesome. I have had the pleasure of seeing them many times, and as with most great bands, they are even better live!
Really looking forward to this one! This is "my" song to a cousin/close friend who died suddenly from sepsis December 29th a few years ago at just 42 years of age. This song brings tears to my eyes every time I listen to it as it very much reminds me of him and the struggles he had in his life. I miss you Jim...
It's been said here quite a bit, but it's for a reason. I'll add my voice to the chorus (see what I did?) of people suggesting their "Words Darker Than Their Wings" at the Royal Albert Hall. I though I knew what rock singing could be, then I heard that...
Hi Elizabeth - I am so glad that your have discovered / dived into Myles and AB on your channel. I’m a big fan of both of you and it’s pure joy to see you connecting like this to the amazing vocal talents of MK. You help us understand some of the master techniques behind the magic!

Probably their masterpiece, but they have so many good songs!!!! Myles is a vocal beast and also sings for Slash's band. Mark is one of the great guitarists of the 2000's!!!
Got to see Alter Bridge live at a state fair several years ago and it was AMAZING. Myles live sounds almost exactly the same as Myles in studio recording an album. One of the best bands I've ever had the pleasure of seeing live.
Oddly enough, the first Alter Bridge song I ever listened to. Someone posted it when a game shut down and I gave it a listen over 10 years ago and I've been in love with this band ever since. One of the greatest rock bands of all time if you were to ask me.

The guitar solos were amazing, you're right about that! Thanks for the never-ending support, Kirby! ❤

(And still there are people that give it thumps down???) Elisabeth, I love your show here on YT, the best!
this album was very impactful on me, so much that i have the album cover blackbird on my back.
Hard rock can be deeply expressive if done right. Alter Bridge does it right! No clichés. I know they really mean it, and exactly how much. Awesome!
The chills i get everytime i listen to this song are unbelievable. I've only heard it thousands of times and yet, chills everytime!
This is my favorite song of all time. Thanks for covering it.
Your very intuitive and observant of things most don’t or can’t observe. I applaud your keen abilities and ability to articulate it to us. Ty.
Myles is a master of his craft!
Indeed he is! ❤
Alter Bridge - Words Darker Than Their Wings in the Royal Albert Hall, please)
Ha, Myles & Myles... good one. Thank you for your endless support! ❤
@@TheCharismaticVoice ❤️ The Court of The Charismatic Voice should have a proper jester, should it not? And thank you for your amazing content!
I suggest slash and myles playing Anastacia live in sydney :)
listen to The Ides Of March....this song is just peeeerfect
So agree!!! PLEASE, DO IT!!
Hearing the two solos live, I was trembling not just cold chills, its a completely different experience. Loved this analysis and reaction!
I will never get enough of this song. Nor enough of Myles. So happy you decided to do this one!
I literally can't listen to this song without crying. Such a beautiful song that brings out such heavy emotions.
I loved this analysis! Now onto the interview!
I would recommend the one live in Amsterdam, Myles was sick at this concert but he still nailed it!! He's amazing!! Great reaction as always, Elizabeth 🤟🏻
Probably their masterpiece, but they have so many good songs!!!! Myles is a vocal beast and also sings for Slash's band. Mark is one of the great guitarists of the 2000's!!!
finally some alter bridge in this channel myles kennedy is one of my favourite singers and i think you will enjoy hearing more songs from him
If you look at her YT homepage you'll find she has 2 or 3 Myles/Alter Bridge videos.
Got to see Alter Bridge live at a state fair several years ago and it was AMAZING. Myles live sounds almost exactly the same as Myles in studio recording an album. One of the best bands I've ever had the pleasure of seeing live.
I remember him from Rockstar movie. He's the guy who Mark Wahlberg invited to the stage to sing, in the end of the movie.
Words darker than their wings live at the Royal Albert Hall is a must , ASAP
For being sick he Absolutely killed this performance!!! Future songs to consider:
Black by Sevendust
Arms of sorrow by killswitch Engage
Outline in color is really good
Great song and hope to see the review when I am back front my trip.
Oddly enough, the first Alter Bridge song I ever listened to. Someone posted it when a game shut down and I gave it a listen over 10 years ago and I've been in love with this band ever since. One of the greatest rock bands of all time if you were to ask me.
YES, you know how. to pick your music!!💐👍
Would love to see you do a reaction to Words Darker than Their Wings from Royal Albert Hall! :)
Totally take the suggestions of the public and listen to Words Darker than their wings at royal albert hall! It will literally blow your a-hole open from the sheer awesomeness and skill by all parties involved!!
Well too bad. If you listen to the suggested song, consider yourself a wind sock of awesomeness. Just flowing right through the a-hole and out the mouth.
His voice is majestic!
My favourite song... Blackbird fly away may you never be broken again
