Who call the serpent
“I did this to him”. As a Father that hit me like a freight train straight into my heart. A lot of Mothers & Fathers put a lot of blame regardless if it’s their fault on themselves, myself included.
ok
@@WWMorian Speech:100
@@cossy85 Ignore him he's an idiot, but parents should not blame themselves for the outcome of what their kids will be like. It's also to do with the environment as well that they are brought in.
@@silentgamer1997 I mean, that’s still a part of it. Of course no one thing determines what the child becomes
I don’t want my parents to blame themselves, because of my choices. May they forgive me.
Never seen KRATOS so scared and worried
He was breathing so fast going up the elevator 😔😔
There is actually ONE other moment. Chains of Olympus. Kratos managed to get to the Elysium Fields and he reunited with his wife and daughter Calliope, but was tragically forced to abandon them all over again just to save Greece. Kratos even SMILED to see his little girl again and he had that same kind of fear when he yelled. "NO! I WILL NOT LET THE GODS TAKE HER AWAY FROM ME AGAIN!"
ruclips.net/video/9Tlla5OrtLE/видео.html
Damn that "Freya!" voice of desperation at 6:41 makes me cry woo lemme get tissues 😢
I just love how Kratos was willing to learn something from his son.
Wait dude did he almost do spartan rage? Shit he might be more powerful than kratos
Mega PVP dont forget the lighting. Seems to have taken some of those grandpa gifts
Spoiler alert, he's also part giant and Faye wanted to name him Loki ;)
Derethar the lightning is just an upgrade . His only abilities seem to be speaking to animals and the dead , and he has a very mediocre spartan rage .
Anonymous 20 he’s still young and discovering his powers when he reaches adulthood he may easily be more powerful than kratos
He seem to be able to effect weather where he insult Sindri
Kratos has never asked for help before!
imagine if Freya answered no
un gato TRUE!!
I love Chickens I think I would've screamed then if that happened
All of this started cause he asked for help 😂
In beginning of God of War 3 when Zeus hits Gaea with lightning & she falls from Mt. Olympus. Kratos struggles to maintain her grip on Gaia and asks for her help. But the idiot conveniently forgot that he had Icarus Wings that he can use to fly. He ends up falling in River styx , losing all his old powers and causing the entire journey of GOW3.
I think it was Baldur who blew the horn. Before the final battle began, Baldur said "I knew hurting the big snake would bring you two out in the open." He probably asked Jörmungandr if he knows where Kratos and Atreus are, but the serpent refused to tell him anything, thus he hurt him.
Mate this is way earlier than the last fight
Baldur can't speak Jotun though and I don't think Jormungandr would appreciate Odin's son calling him to find his allies. He's destined to defeat Thor, one of the most powerful Gods in the Norse pantheon. So, I doubt Baldur would get anything out of him other than a hiss and big ol' snake bite.
@@nohemi6899 My guess is it was Tyr, since he was helping the giants in the past and we don't know if he's dead or alive.
@@Dinoross tyr was missing at this point
I doubt that Baldur even knew how to call the serpent. My bet is that it is either future Kratos or future Atreus/Loki that time traveled to the past like Jörmungandr did since they are the only ones aside from Mimir that know to use the horn and Atreus is talented in languages so he could probably have been taught by Mimir to speak to Jörmungandr.
A couple of things I love about this video
1 Modie’s accent I earned tha fuckin ammer
2 kratos’s parental instinct and desperation upon seeing Atreus hurt.
3 Freya’s sarcasm and resentment of Kratos to then rush to his aid to help Atreus
Couple that with amazing voice acting and you get a powerful scene
I love the bit in the elevator when you can see the anger and desperation in Kratos face with the heavy breathing
"This isn't over!" Hold up he just sent your ass like 25 feet and went through your lightning and you still want at him?
That "I did this to him" is so heartbreaking, kratos knows the pain of losing your family
I love how Kratos was pacing while waiting on the lift, and as he was walking would look at him. Little details BUT I LOVE IT
Life Lesson #1:
Never EVER piss off Kratos
0:48 smells like..... TEEN SPIRIT
Hahaha underrated
It’s heartbreaking to hear the regret in his voice when he asks if this was because of him.
I wonder how many mothers if any played this game and sympathize or knows how it feels to be Freya.
Kratos while carrying atreus to get to Freya is like an ambulance stuck in heavy traffic
This scene made me tear up a little, great voice acting you can hear the fear and helplessness in kratos' voice
I really love the motherly love of Freya’s character. The fact she immediately drops everything to help a dying child she recently met is honestly so beautiful.
I think this could be the first and last time Kratos says "Would you help me?" to anyone in existence.
Always the music in this game - I LOVED how it was dark and gloomy on the way and even worse with a thunderstorm when Kratos had to get his blades.
Music at 2:15 is badass
6:36
Freya: "I'm still a God! Go away."
Kratos: "Understandable. Have a great day."
i like how atrius' rage power has a lightning effect while kratos' rage power has a fire or ember effect to it
Fun fact: the weather is changing because atresus who is the Norse god Loki in this universe. Is dying and the weather is responding to it.
But the real question is who called the world serpent
Hel is more like Hell's opposite. Instead of being extremely hot its extremely cold. Instead of two L's it's one. Instead of tormenting the inhabitants it torments the inhabitants with their own past.
6:32 When she doesn't listen to your side of the argument
IDK if it's truly canon here but the thunder and lightning you see in the scene is supposedly Thor beating the crap out of Modi for being a coward. It shows the difference between both fathers and how differently they treat their sons.
One, while stern, is more caring and compassionate, the other cares more about being a strong man at all times
For some reason I think Atreus blew the horn like maybe soon we’ll see him travel back in time or something in a future dlc to talk to Jörmungandr or something like that
If you see Atreus fainting out of context it would look so funny
6:28 This. This is what a desperate man sounds like…
This is an amazing scene. Kratos starts gaining the humanity only hinted at in God of War 3.
6:43 The "He is ill" OMG you can hear how broke and desperate Kratos is now :.(
7:10 seeing Kratos's puppy eyes and his terrified voice feels weird
Freya will always be Atreus Adopted Mom in my eyes, made even more so in Ragnarok
Atreus thinks Kratos wants Atreus to be more like him. But what he doesn't realises is it's the other way around, Kratos wants Atreus to be anything but the past Kratos.
Buying a PS5 for this game and can say I'm glad I waited. This will be a glorious run through and I've alotted 2 full weeks to dedicate to this game.
*WOMAN DO U HEAR ME?* - kratos

The voice in Kratos when he calls for Freya, it's like his voice fell. Nearly cried, even.
No greater horror exists for a parent than to see their child suffer from something they can't protect them from.
Syazwi Syahmi You can hear and feel the fear in his voice, something that isn't here in the French and Japanese dubs unfortunately. I don't know about the other dubs.
Just like Mimir said. The death of a child is not something a parent gets over easily. If Kratos could have the option of suffering eternal torment in Helheim, never to see Atreus again, just so he would live, you know he would do it in a heartbeat. Reminds me of that line from John Q. "I am NOT gonna bury my son! My son is gonna bury me!"
Well, understandable. He once killed his own daughter with his own hand and now he doesn’t want to lose his another child anymore
He is terrified for his child, knowing this is something his limitless might cannot defeat, it's beautifully executed.

Kratos lived a life of hate and misery for almost his entire existence. He is finally trying to be a good person, and a good father. Even if he isn't perfect at it, seeing this humanized version of the God of War is amazing.
You mean ex god (because he hates them with a passion
He definitely gets more development since he straight up says the words “I’m sorry” to Atreus in ragnarok
The writing is surprisingly organic looking back. Back in GoW 3 we see his humanity resurfacing in his interactions with Pandora, and when he finally succeeds in his grand quest for vengeance he looks so empty inside. Devoid of purpose, what would have been his last act was to sacrifice his life to free humanity from being enthralled by the gods once and for all rather than usher in a new age of Olympian tyranny. He went down the road of vengeance and found it led nowhere and when left to deal with only himself he showed who he was in the dark without it. It truly did set the stage for this next story.

Atreus most likely..
The two main theories are Loki through time travel, or Kratos becoming Tyr through time travel.
I love how Freya rushed to open the door when she learned Atreus was ill.
It really showed her motherly nature.
No way back from the land of the dead? Pffft That’s another Friday for Kratos
Kratos being utterly helpless is heart-breaking; this man rose above & overthrew his own civilization's Pantheon of gods out of sheer force of will but no amount of love for his son can suddenly make him an experienced healer, so when his boy is sick he literally can't do anything but panic and yell and pray for someone to save him.
Seeing Kratos terrified after what happened to Atreyus had me in tears a little.
@Raven Link 2 words: Red circle
@Raven Link might have just decided to take his rage and sorrow out on some tattooed gods
Just how vulnerable Kratos sounds here, it's heartbreaking. You know that he doesn't want to lose the one thing left that gives his life meaning.
6:37 can we all appreciate for a second that from the sound of her voice and how quick she opened the door, that freya was more than likely at the door after Kratos’ first call out?
She wanted to see her boys again, and wanted a reason to let them in.
Or she was stashing her papers and scales and lighting her incense...
That was legitimately my first thought when I heard that she was so close to the door.
But then, I am odd and slightly twisted.
Alas, I am what the gods have made me...
...BOI!
6:27 "FreHa!" LOL the way Kratos talks right here is like Christian Bale's Batman. "Tell me where the trigger is!!!"
Where is SHE! Rachel!!
+Jamie Hughes lol
SWEAR TO ME!!!!!!!😂😂😂
Kratman: I'M NOT WEARING GODLY PADS!!!!!
7:15 man i love how the studio add so much intense scene to this character, like can you imagine this guy who kills gods and titans with his bare hands who solve every problem with his blades and fist and THIS problem he doen't know how to solve it. No rage or Blades can help kratos at this moment to save his son. This is so amazing especailly when i heard about this scene from Cory himself in the interview.
*Will you help me?* Damn feels and those eyes 7:10
As much as I love the old VA for Kratos, TC Carson, Christopher Judge just knocks this shit out of the park. The lines are incredibly well written, but the agony in his voice while he’s begging Freya for help, and then the softness and genuine panic in his voice when he tells her “he is ill” just breaks my heart. Judge absolutely deserves every single praise he got for this performance. The game would not be the same without him.
And after everything Kratos has seen of the gods, of Olympus and Asgard, he actually tries to apologize to Freya and even trusts her just at her word. A mother’s word. That’s how much he cares for Atreus. He would abandon even his hatred of the gods simply to keep from losing that boy, the only good thing he has ever brought into the world.
I think Carson and Judge both perfectly portrayed their different versions of Kratos.
“That’s a mother’s promise.” And then we have to kill Baldur. Seeing Freya get choked up and want to make Kratos suffer as much as possible made me feel more conflicted than I have in any other game. Fuck me dude.
Best father ever.
Sem Ideia tell that to Calliope
Tinchokratos that was ares's fault
Hunter Skidmore Ehhhh it was just as much Kratos' fault too. He sold his soul for power and went on mass killing spree.
Leaked Ideias I wouldn't go that far, but he's definitely becoming a great father figure. By the end of the game, I'm really glad to see Kratos and Atreus together. It feels like they're a good family, and that's heartwarming. :)
kratos would kill her anyway. Probably with domestic abuse or something.
Freya be like:
"We need your help!" I sleep
"The Boy has fallen ill!" Real Shit??!?!?
“I’m still a god. Go away.”
“The boy has fallen ill!”
_oh shit_
I love how quickly she opens the door when she realises it's for Atreus.
"No need to explain. Not to me. Not for that."
Those are the exact words Kratos spoke to Freya in Ragnarok when she tried to apologize for her anger over her son's death. He took these words to heart!
