Hey, great video! After your descale, did the problem go away? I'm sure it did, but would like confirmation. Also, what symptoms were you having? Right now mine is not providing much water at all through the hot taps. I doubt it is getting hot at all. The remote has a red flame on it, but no code.
Yes it will bypass the heat exchanger as soon as you turn your power off. So you have to leave the power on and unplug the flow control valve flow meter. Three wires red, black, and brown.

So before you were descaling once a year or so but the solution was getting bypassed?
