Wow what an idea…old clothes boy oh boy that’s something I got lots of…thanks for the light bulb moment as usual that I get from you!!! Thank you thank you!💯❤️
Oh yeah the little bubble, I used a razor blade on one like this , open just a bit squirt a tiny bit of uv resin in it. Smooth it with a glove. Uv light for a min and poof it was gone! Made me happy. Boo boo fix. 😂😂
This is STUNNING! Can you do two different types of fabrics for example, one for the front and one for the back? I’m wondering if I can achieve this for Mickey ears headband. I’m new to resin 🙊
As usual, I love your work! I try to repeat it, and we’ll, let’s just say, I’m not so talented, but I do try. One day!!!😀. Thanks for your wonderful videos!
I get so lost watching your videos, I lose track of time. When I’m late for anything, I just say “It’s LiaDia’s fault” Your art is gorgeous!!! Thank you so much for sharing.
I have been experimenting with fabric since I saw your video on hearts. Having a big bubble iappear is really common. I think it is because the fabric itself releases bubbles as the resin soaks in. I tried using your duragloss to sort of glue the fabric onto some hardened resin, but I still found bubbles popping up last minute. What I have been doing lately is treating the fabric almost like unsealed wood. I put on just enough resin to soak the fabric. I found that doing that twice and I don't have the bubble issue. I also tried first just "curing" the fabric. It was nice because it became stiff and was easier for me to cut. BUT I still had those last minute bubbles unless I put on a teeny seal coat on. I did try to sort of "pop" the bubbles and fill with resin. It worked ok, but I could still tell where they were (even though no one else could tell).
Yes, I agree, I think the fibrous quality of the fabric will make it more prone to bubbles... I had a few... but I also didn't do anything to prevent them. Next time, I'll be more cognizant of how I place the fabric onto the resin... as I just plopped it down, instead of placing it from one edge to the other and trying to avoid air pockets under the fabric. I'll also need to try sealing it. I love the experiments you've stated... will need to try some of those too.💕
@@LiaDiaDesigns I have been experimenting with layering accents. I watch "resin as you wish". She does a lot of multilayered art that is super awesome. So I have been combining some of your ideas with adding duragloss with color to sort of get some part of the fabric to pop, with her layered technique of pouring a super thin layer and then outlining or more accenting. As long as I don't go over the top (I'm prone to over glittering) it gives a neat 3D look.
💕 so it could be also used as a little bowl and showcases the fabric a little more from all angles, especially on the pedestal stand. You can definitely leave it flat or make it an actual bowl..., completely up to you😊
This is gorgeous! I am so surprised that the blue fabric turned clear from I suppose the resin. I didn’t expect that to happen. I love the translucent color. I believe you mentioned you could add a bottom and/or top layer of tinted resin. Would you still get a clear translucent color? Hmmm. Thank you so much!
Thank you💕 if the base layer is a translucent, slightly tinted color, then yes, I think you'll still be able to see the translucency of the fabric... but if the base is a solid color, then I don't think you'll see the translucency in the fabric
Nice pattern and colors, each separate flower would surely look great as a coaster! Is that a rayon or polyester fabric? Just my curiosity, because it seems slinky. Al.
Thank you Al💕 yes, I definitely think they would look great as coasters!. I would have to check...it felt like a cotton blend... could have some polyester in it...
Gorgeous ! I am new to resin and i was wondering if you have to pay duty fees upon delivery from Laura art corner, Lrisy and DB. I am doing this as a hobby and i live in Canada also. Thanks 🙏🏼😘
I'm so sorry for your loss💕. Personally, I don't recommend putting irreplaceable sentimental items in resin, as resin yellows/ambers over time, it will not stay clear, and you won't be able to remove it from the resin. Maybe mounting it in a shadowbox with archival glass?
From Tara that is awesome ha some resin gets in my eyes when I touch it after to see if sticky ugh so how much resin do you use Jesus is awesome thanks
My brother recently passed away and instead of getting a marker for his grave and am wondering could I use resin all over to make it hard and shiny ya think?
@@LiaDiaDesigns thanks! Im thinking about cementing it first and then adding some kind of sealer. I seen it somewhere so thought that might last longer! Thanks so much for the reply though! ♥️

My brother recently passed away and instead of getting a marker for his grave and am wondering could I use resin all over to make it hard and shiny ya think?
I'm so sorry for your loss. Resin isn't the best for outdoor use, as it will yellow / amber and will likely turn foggy in exposure to UV/ Sunlight.
