Very awesome. I need to head to thrift store. I think I could find some resale pieces of embroidered and beaded pieces. So very nice. Great inspiration. Thanks Nadia. hugs Sheryl 💙🎨💙
They’re beautiful! It’s such a great way to turn a sentimental heirloom into a practical and usable piece. I just came across my grandma’s embroidered runners a couple days ago while cleaning out our closet. This technique would be a perfect way to showcase her beautiful work. I think you could apply fabric glue to the back, let it dry and then you should be able to cut away most of the fabric without it unraveling. Using an embroidery hoop would ensure that it dries flat. Great idea! Thanks!
Wow!! You are amazing!! You always discover really cool things to use for embellishments but then you take them up even higher to produce a masterpiece!! I just love watching you!! 💙💙💙💙💙💙
@@LiaDiaDesigns HI! thanks for the tutorials!!! wooow!!! I would like to ask you, if I used resin to make the border with the stones instead of transparent varnish, isn't that okay?🙏🙏🙏
HI Nadia, Thank you so much for sharing such a Beautiful video 👍 WOW I thought your coasters turned out absolutely stunning looking so so pretty & what a wonderful way to keep those Memories alive 🤗👍❤️ Lin
I like the chunky ness of the coaster. I’ve tried something similar in smaller pieces only in white embroidery but I love the colour and the edge is beautiful tfs.
Lia, this video was amazing. One of the things I've been struggling with is more manly type coasters and I was thinking I could maybe use sports patches or school sports patches. I will have to check into getting the thicker molds because I think the school patches from my kids sports may be thicker. You have my head spinning....Love your video, hope you enjoy the coffee I sent, lol
Wow!! Nadia. This is just stunning. So many wonderful things to learn from you. I must find something of mine I want to treasure in resin. Thank you so much for sharing these magnificent ideas with us!
Love it. Goodwill is my source for dresses to dissect. They always have cocktail and wedding dresses and leather skirts and jackets dirt cheap. Rhinestones, pearls, lace, trim and leather that can be used.
@@LiaDiaDesigns I have some doilies that I've made but I don't know how well they'd show. They're white. From my experience with nails white lace practically disappears. So it might have the same effect. If my hands will let me I'll try to make a different color. They don't work like they use to 😠 Did I tell u I'm gonna be a grandma? I'm so excited
As mentioned in the video, the glitter I added looked more like a halo or aura around the center design... there will always be a slight difference in the look between glitter in resin and glitter on top of resin.
wow so beautiful...I immediately went to my stash of fabric/trim/applicade stash that I had for years!!! just sitting in the drawer. I'm going to try this. Thank you for always experimenting!!! I coming away from some subscribers that do the same ole thing over and over.
You always have the best ideas! And they are so beautiful !! I have extra fabric and even lace I so need to try this! Thank you for all ur tutorials and youe wonderful ideas !
@@LiaDiaDesigns i made some beautiful Christmas ornaments last yr using ur techniques and lil tricks I keep learning from you. Your such and amazing and wonderful artist! Cant make the things you do cause i cant even draw a decent stick figure but your techinqiues make me feel like a wonderful artist !!
Hello Lia. You did respond to one of my postings about using resin. But the 1st orig posting might have slipped past you. I was wondering if you'd have anything to say - to varnishing (with the varnish YOU use) on fake leaves from Amazon that stick up a little? as they have more vibrant color to them. If I apply varnish to them and let them dry and seat them down into the resin... will the top part that is sticking out of the resin - be protected by the varnished coat layer? **it would be, I hope, kind of a 3D affect. This will be worked in a resin tray silicone mold. Thank you. Also: they aren't press on leaves.
I've thought of using jewelry or beading in resin ... I did it once with crystals and the facets were completely lost in the process. They looked really flat and non dimensional but yours looks so much better. I wonder what is different about the beading? I'm inspired!!
Yes, I've tried faceted jewels in resin before too, they completely disappear with the refraction of how light goes through them and the resin. Once I used a clear faceted swarovski gem with a mirrored back and all you could see in the resin was the mirror, it was wild lol! In this design they were mostly sequins, little seed beads and metal embroidery thread, so they worked much better in resin. You'll notice even the crystal stones around the edges have less definition on their edges... it's mostly their coloring that shows through.
I'm a relatively new subscriber and have really appreciated all that you show us. These coasters are stunning ! I did try to coat small pieces of silk fabric just with resin and sadly, all the colours ran into each other and was left with a big mess. Maybe using the gloss varnish first would have prevented it. In any case, thank you for sharing with us all !!
💖🥰welcome! Thank you! Hmm, I haven't tried silk but yes, some items need to sealed first... I would do a small test of liquid gloss varnish... but I'm thinking a spray sealer may work better.
Very awesome. I need to head to thrift store. I think I could find some resale pieces of embroidered and beaded pieces. So very nice. Great inspiration. Thanks Nadia. hugs Sheryl 💙🎨💙

You can see a shadow around the fabric when you added glitter around it like the color doesn’t match
As mentioned in the video, the glitter I added looked more like a halo or aura around the center design... there will always be a slight difference in the look between glitter in resin and glitter on top of resin.

Interesting. I was just looking at a bag full of salwar kameez that don't fit, wondering what to do with them.
I'm sure you could make a lot of beautiful pieces with them💕
