I did nails for seven years. Covid required us to close the salons. I changed industries and brought everything home. I should dig out my stamping plates and clear jelly stampers and use polish on my resin and polymer clay.!!
Ive sort of do this for my bangles. But im pouring organic shapes directly onto clear latex stamps then curing. I brush my stamp with micas then pour the resin onto the stamp. It peels off easily and the textures show very nicely with the mica
Hi Daniel, these really are stunning aren't they. You're a genius for sure. I bought 2 nail art plates about 5 years ago, but have never used them - well I will be now!! I hope you make them into jewellery for your lovely wife I'm sure she will cherish them. Thank you so much for sharing them with us. Take care, and have a great week ahead. Xx❤❤😊😊
Absolutely beautiful! 🤩😍 I love the way the light picks up the small details of the design. This video helps answer a question about nail powders and resin, though do you know if the colour changing/mood ones are similar? 🤔 Thank you for sharing your craft with us. 😊🙏
Very antiquesk. Just lovely, a great way to use these nail stamping plates. Would never have thought of this so glad we got you to do the thinking lol 😂. Thanks again
Today, you are my HERO! I bought soooo many nail plates but cold or not get it to work properly either. I just ordered some uv nail builder gel to see if that works for me. Thank you, I'm gonna try silicone too, when I make some up. ❤❤❤❤
My mom collected paperweights and this hust brought back such happy memories. Thank you. They are beautiful. The round one reminds me the most of them. As a pendant it would be like wearing a piece of art and a memory that would last a lifetime. Without having a 3 pound piece of glass around your neck lol.
These are beautiful!! I was thinking Aztec designs. What grit level sandpaper did you use? And as for the nail polish, normal nail polish doesn’t work very well on these plates. You need to buy special nail polish. I have some of these plates & I hate it when they engrave pointlessly over the edges of the designs. You can get small plates with smaller individual images which could work if you wanted to create a 3D image in the cabochon. Maybe adding a small layer of clear UV resin before adding another layer.
Great work as always Daniel, i was using your dipping method but my cocktail sticks were cheap and nasty so i used the micro brushes stick instead after removing the brush part, worked better than the cocktail stick when it came to removing it from the piece.
I may have made a video a long while ago but you can use a very fine mica powder rubbed into the plate and pick it up with a silicone nail stamping tool and then apply it to a surface, including resin, then back it with more resin (coloured.) Or stamp it onto coloured resin and then clear coat.
@daniel..cooper might I suggest using a dimond sharpening stone in place of sand paper? I'd go with a cheap set to figure out which works best for you.
Love your dip reveals! But I watch you because you are fun and informative. I’ve never even tried resin art, however, I’ve done my own nails for 30+ years and I’m inspired by resin art techniques.
Yes. The dipping scene hooked me in! (I try to watch all of your videos but had missed this one) I really thought you were going to add a second color powder after you sanded the back, but I see the black is enough to really show off that gold! Gorgeous!
Thanku, been pondering the possibilities of nail plates for ages... waiting for pennies... but now I know...💚 without wasting resources on nail polish... much appreciated Daniel
Oh i used to be OBSESSED with nail art and somewhere in storage I have all my old nail stamping plates! I’m just in the beginning of your video, but I’m already excited for a way to possibly use my old plates!
I see alot of detail and the ridge like effects when you moved the aztec looking one around, crazy cool detail something worth trying.. thank you nice video
I’m here to watch how your brain works - does it ever stop - it is amazing how you come up with these different ideas & love all your tips & tricks - thank you for sharing them
Daniel, this is so incredible! Absolutely gorgeous! This is something that I have also done but with wax stampers (for larger 3D images) and not my nail art stamps… Next chance I have, I’m gonna try this with my nail art stamps!
So Daniel I was so excited about what you did with the nail plates, I did order them and just got them in today and watching your video again, I am so anxious to try this on my own
Well you've done it again Daniel, amazing idea, execution and results (if that doesn't sound pompous 😂) i like to look for things with finer detail and finesse and haven't succeeded as yet 😅. I shall be trying this 😊
Awesome work. Got me thinking, Would it work with the resin paper too?
Thanks, I did try and think of ways but maybe if you cured the Oyumaru onto the paper it could work best 😁
@@daniel..cooper ah I see, thank you, I’ll have to get me some Oyumaru to try👍
🤔
Absolutely gorgeous work, thank you Daniel for experimenting 👍🏼
Super cool 😍 love the sound of the sped up sanding

Not yet but would work 😁😁
