    Wow and wow!!! Wish I could give this video 100 thumbs up. These are the most beautiful resin jewelry pieces I've ever seen. I can't wait to try this! Also I really appreciate the voice-over technique, it's so much easier to listen to than live chatter. Not a second of wasted video time and never once thought to get impatient and move ahead. Just an excellent job, thank you so much! Definitely subscribed :)

    Loved this video~ especially the bracelets. Can you share where you purchased the magnets for the heart shaped hair clip?

    • @LittleWindowsResin
      @LittleWindowsResin  2 года назад

      Hello! Yes, these are actually strong but thin stick-on magnets, this is important when you're working in resin as magnets tend to have a mind of their own and can skittle all over. We are now offering them online, so follow this link back to the tutorial page and you'll see them in the materials list.

    • @LittleWindowsResin
      @LittleWindowsResin  2 года назад +1

      Yes you sure can! You'll need to select your stiffener - either cardstock like I used in this tutorial, or Clear Photo Film, like I used in my Washi Tape Projects tutorial. In case you haven't seen that one, or need a refresher, here's a link:

    This is awesome and I like that you are detailed and explained what you are doing. I do want to know, does the resin feel hard like a plastic bracelet or is it softer and bendable?

    • @LittleWindowsResin
      @LittleWindowsResin  2 года назад +1

      Hello Ree! After 10-12 hours the resin is firm but bendable, they will continue to harden over the next day or two and become quite firm. Let me know if I can be of help in any other way :)

    Why does the resin have to be covered during drying? And is there any risk of the resin dripping off the edges when using the doming technique?

    • @LittleWindowsResin
      @LittleWindowsResin  11 часов назад

      Hello @bonnieschmelz6650! Resin is super sticky before it sets up, so if you don't cover it you'll find lint, dust, possibly pet fur stuck in your pieces.
      And yes, there is a risk of resin dripping over when applied to flat pieces in this doming technique, so you need to be very sure you're using a doming resin and not a coating or art resin, as that won't form the nice rounded clean dome you want. Here's what's crucial for doming:
      1. Use a good doming resin. Our Brilliant Resin is perfect for this because it has a high surface tension, and can be mixed in batches as small as 6ml+3ml, so you won't have wasted resin!
      2. Make sure your surface is level
      3. Make sure your pieces are elevated on one of our Doming Trays, so the resin can easily tell where the edges of your shapes are, so it'll stop when it gets there.
      4. Be conservative in your application, add resin to the center of your piece and pull it to the edge or into points if need be. You can add more to the center if needed.
      And have fun!

    Can you use a UV lamp with this resin?

    • @LittleWindowsResin
      @LittleWindowsResin  Год назад

      Hello! No, this Brilliant Resin is a 2-part epoxy - the safest you'll find - so UV exposure will not speed the cure, although the warmer the environment, the faster it'll set up. I hope that helps :)

    Are the earrings on black card stock?

    • @LittleWindowsResin
      @LittleWindowsResin  Год назад

      Hello @lw3370, yes they are! In this video I've backed all of the flat projects with black cardstock so the Dichro-ISH Film colors pop, but you can also mount films on a sheet of clear plastic like our Clear Photo Film from little-windows.com, or stick 2 layers of film together, like I do in this tutorial:
      www.little-windows.com/blogs/project-center/18068893-twisted-resin
      The point is to give the films some stability, otherwise they're quite flimsy on their own and won't stay flat when resin is applied.
      I hope that's helpful :)

    I dont understand what you put inside resin to remove bubbles? Translate is unavailable

    • @LittleWindowsResin
      @LittleWindowsResin  Год назад

      Hello sylvenn, I don't put anything into Brilliant Resin, I just warm up Part A, blend with Part B, follow the label directions to get a good mix, then apply. I will sometimes use a heat gun on low, but not when I'm doming as that can cause the resin to overflow, I usually just use my Mixing Wand or Tiny Pointy Swab to get rid of any stubborn bubbles, but it's not usually much of an issue. Please let me know if I can be of help in any other way :)
