So a dark red with a dab of a dark green or any green? That's very cool that you've discovered that. I make things all the time, but my 2 weak areas are knowing what colors make what and sometimes my hand shakes....I think I drink too much coffee while working! 😂

Hi Charley408! Me too, let me know if you end up trying any of these techniques. I'd love to hear about your process and see your creations :) fran@little-windows.com
All of the birthstone colors were lovely. It is amazing how you were able to replicate the colors so closely. I loved the Peridot and Turquoise colors as my favorites. Thank you for the tutorial! 💖 ✨️💖🌻
I just discovered your channel and WOW! I’m so excited to see what you’ve already accomplished and can’t wait to see what you have yet to create! Love your video and thank you for sharing your talent with the world! 😊

GORGEOUS 😍 ❤ as Always Fran❣️ I've yet to open these that I've bought but, Now I Must❣️ Can't wait to try these and wear them myself😊 This is ABSOLUTELY The Most PERFECTLY SHAPED DROP💯💝🤗
They Are The BEST-!!!!! And with leftover resin that is in the bottom of the cup you can make pendants or rings with. I think I have an old video I'll re-post on my channel of what I do with my "Little Windows" resin cups. They are Perfect-!!!!! WWG1WGA 😊
Thank you Pepe The Patriot! Yep these cups make it easier to create, they're reusable and totally smooth on the inside. One side has ML measurements and the other has 3 different Easy Batch markings for 9ml, 15ml and 24ml batches. You can get 10, 100, or more if you'd like! Here's a link if you'd like to see them close up: www.little-windows.com/products/easy-batch-measure-mix-cups Thanks so much for your feedback :) fran@little-windows.com
Hello Geneva! You're right, I thought about including that too but this project was getting out of control already with 19 + variations! I love Alexandrite, and I wonder if there is any colorant that will colorshift with light while staying transparent the way that stone does? Hmmmmm More fun to be had, thanks for your feedback :) fran@little-windows.com
Fran, This has got to be my favorite video you've ever done. I know I'll be watching it over and over again to make sure I truly understand and more importantly remember all of your cool tips and tricks. The only thing I would like to request is a punch for these molds. Personally, I would buy punches for all your molds if you had them. I'm embarrassed to admit this, but my scissor skills are terrible! I can never follow along the lines on the paper. I either curve too deep or cannot stay in a straight line and that's with a line written on the page. I already own all of your punches and I've bought several round punches to fit your cabochon molds. I have all your heart punches too, but I don't think your heart punches will fit your new heart molds. Thank you again for another great video!
Hello Kim! I'm so glad you're loving this one, I'm proud of how it turned out, and I'm super glad it's done and up. I'd love a teardrop punch too, but it wouldn't work on the materials I used here, the Dichro-ISH Films and layered Resin Colored Films are too slippery for punches to work, it would only be helpful with papers :( Hmm, what about teardrop-shaped stickers already cut to size??? Hmmmm Every bit of creativity leads to more ideas for things to create! BTW, the Heart Punches you have will fit BOTH our original and our new Hearts Molds, yippee! Keep creating :) fran@little-windows.com
They all look nice but another thing you can use for some of them is chamelen/multi Chrome mica powder, that would help with the iridescent effect. Especially on the moon stone and opal, the hardest ones to get realistic. Another thing is adding white resin on the pearlescent mica powder would have made it pop more, draw back is a solid color back. And adding milky white on the opal would have made it look more realistic. But they are still very pretty.
Hi Vicky! Yes, that would be excellent and it works will with the iridescence under a milky resin, unfortunately the chameleon colors I have on hand were not good color matches for these birthstones, so I didn't use them here, but you're absolutely right! Lots more fun to be had! - Fran@little-windows.com
Do u have doe cut pieces to cut the resin color film or other things so that the fit in the molds perfectly? Would be so much easier to cut than with scissors.
Yes please! I just took my teardrop blockers and made a photocopy onto cardstock and cut the shape out to trace around and cut out. Would love a template!
This video being older...I hope I get a reply. I love your videos and I joined your website and signed up for email updates. I'm doing some shopping on your site and I'm wondering does a shape cutter come with those little gem molds, the 4 pack? I don't have the steadiest of hands lol. Could you tell me how you cut yours to fit so perfectly into the mold? Thanks!
Hello @seaglass1111! Welcome to my world! There is no template for the teardrop mold, but if you skip forward in this video to around 10:30, you'll see how I make one. You can also "stamp" directly onto your material and cut inside the line. www.little-windows.com/blogs/project-center/resin-challenge-birthstones Let me know how yours turn out, and if I can be of help in any other way :) fran@little-windows.com

I’ve read many times the alcohol inks will fade but I see you use it a lot.will they fade after awhile? I hate to have a customer mad because it the color fades.
Hello, thanks for your feedback! Alcohol inks can fade over time, but much depends on the brand you use, the colors chosen, the amount you add, and the technique you're using. Lots of variables :) Our Brilliant Resin is quite color stable, but I'd say I've had the most fading with dark blues and purple colors, so I tend to load those up, but don't add too much or your castings may not harden fully. So much fun to be had! There are also lots of different techniques, from color blending like in this tutorial, to petri effects, to concentrated applications like the drip techniques used in this other video, which is one of my favorite projects, these ones haven't faded at all: www.little-windows.com/blogs/project-center/alcohol-ink-drip-effects-in-resin I hope that's of help :) fran@little-windows.com

When you say tiny you mean it 😊
I have found to get a good GARNET color, add a small dab of green instead of the black, I know it sounds weird but it works
That's excellent advice, I'll try that too.
Thanks so much Michael :)
