This is amazing to me! How in the world does the holographic images get onto the silicone and then onto the resin? I absolutely love holo anything and I want to make everything holo now in one way or another!!
While the surface looks smooth the diffraction grating sheet actually has micron-scale grooves you would see under magnification. Luckily silicone will pick up these TINY grooves and then even pass on to whatever we choose. Chocolate is really cool to use it on as well. 👍
Gorgeous! I've been playing around with holo too...and let me tell u it is challenging to get it to be "perfect". It's frustrating, but I'm going to continue experimenting as well. 😻💜
Hello Friend 👋 How are you doing 😌I hope this year brings happiness, joy , and peace all over the world, I’m from Seattle Washington and you where are you form if I may ask? I’ve weather over there?

I just saw this video and #1473. You are just amazing, Julie. I personally am so grateful for your willingness to share some of your processes. Have a blessed day.
Hello Friend 👋 How are you doing 😌I hope this year brings happiness, joy , and peace all over the world, I’m from Seattle Washington and you where are you form if I may ask? I’ve weather over there?
I love your epoxy resin the most. As I'm looking at my shelf, I realize that all my resins are now your brand. Lol. I also have some of your molds, and they are great quality. As a matter of fact, as I'm taking a quick inventory, I have loads of your products. So I'd say that speaks to the quality etc of your products.❤
That is so strange. Thank you for showing and teaching us all the tips about using such strange stuff. 😂They turned out really well-especially for your first time. Yes, yes, more of that holographic stuff please😁
I’m loving the process to make the holo silicone and the jewelry. I could definitely see the beautiful, holo effect. How gorgeous on that teardrop with the black cord, I’d glue a tiny rhinestone over that spot. 😊❤❤❤

So first of all, thanks for the short commercials! I have a few things to share with you. I like to use scotch clear tape to hold down my resin tape to the surface I am using. Really smooth surface works well. Also, I have double sided sticky beading mats that keep the tape from moving, no shifting or fingerprints. Works well. As for the flaws on you pendants, that just an excuse to attach something over the flaws;) I like to add one resin piece on top of another and I do it by putting a small amount of resin on the back of the piece to add. When dry, if there is any gap, I coat the whole piece with a smooth dome of clear resin and it fills and smooths it. Thanks for sharing your project!
Good advice, the only thing is you can’t dome over the holographic side because it will affect the appearance, from what I understand. I haven’t used the holograph molds yet but I do have some so I’m trying to learn all I can about them. 🙂
Thes are so pretty. But I think just placing them directly on the mar would save the sticking down part, then you won’t over flow.I think the mat is brilliant how it can give a nice shiny surface with rainbow colours on it ..Love these 🥰
Hello Friend 👋 How are you doing 😌I hope this year brings happiness, joy , and peace all over the world, I’m from Seattle Washington and you where are you form if I may ask? I’ve weather over there?
Love your work! I’ve found when using the resin tape make sure the bezels are on a soft surface to seal them well. Also don’t let them stay too long after they set up.
Hello Friend 👋 How are you doing 😌I hope this year brings happiness, joy , and peace all over the world, I’m from Seattle Washington and you where are you form if I may ask? I’ve weather over there?
I know this is an older video but I'm kind of binge watching some of your stuff that I haven't seen yet. When it comes to that resin leakage, I just wanted to share that when making my resin tumblers, I just use an exacto knife and run it around the lip of my tumblers and it trims any excess down perfectly! That are super cute! I've bought a jewelry/pendant kit from Let's Resin and am having a blast playing with UV resin and they are turning out sooooo cute!
the great difference is when using the resin tape you don't have any issues with flaws on the back, if you use packing tape it tends to cloud the resin and cause issues when removing
These are gorgeous right from you making the mold being so particular to making a little pendants are cool and I got to make matching earrings and sell them as a set or even bracelets
Hello Friend 👋 How are you doing 😌I hope this year brings happiness, joy , and peace all over the world, I’m from Seattle Washington and you where are you form if I may ask? I’ve weather over there?
It only takes a minute to clean it out lol and Amazon has some holographic windows covering which you can also use for this plus they have a design in the window covering which makes it pretty neat ❤️ them..
Rub your stick or another tool along edges of each piece. Then press the piece down. You can also try to lift each piece with a bright light, looking for areas still needing pressed. Great pieces I can make for my son in law who macramés glass pendants for friends.
I just found this channel and I think you have a wonderful idea.. I havent quite finished the video yet but I would suggest a thin layer of clear on top of your finished finished holo side. It would keep it from getting marked up or touched and smeared in any way. I hope you figured it out by the end but if not.... well its an idea :)
I have no idea what I'm seeing! How did a silicone sheet impregnate black resin with iridescence? I wish you would have linked the video explaining that in the notes... that fleeting little link at the corner of the screen is hard to catch! It's very impressive, I just don't understand!
I've used that tape a few times now and either side can be used resin doesn't stick to either and comes away no issues the only issue I've had is the sticky side don't stick to everything. I used it to create a frame around a canvas using tape then on foam board both leaked in places even with masking tape but it's very useful I just need to tweak my methods 👌
P.S. After typing all this below,(And yes I know the PS shouldn't be on top) I now see this is: Pendants like with a big "P" and no one might care about the holo on the backs !! "My Bad" I have no idea how this escaped me.. worse yet my poor fingers ache!! so I'm still gonna post this if only because I put way too much time in typing this ...and it's 2:45 AM here Clearwater, Fla......and now I meekly say ... or type "I still think it's not entirely a bad idea" ...lol Wow what really beautiful and vibrant pieces !! You got me too thinking and brainstorming about ways to finish the backsides with a holo if indeed that's what you had in mind or not. Anyhow here's 2 ideas that comes to mind. 1st idea: Naturally would be adding an additional a ultra thin layer black or clear resin on the backs, then applying your holo silicone them. ( home run) !! Ah but then again this may not work because the layer of resin is too thin to allow a good holo transfer... So now onto Idea #2 how to get a thicker resin layer ! Is ... after you have attached the hoop to the green tape, you then flip it over and apply a VERY LOW heat, very carefully to the backside of tape, just enough to soften it ever so minutely, that it dimples inwards just a little so that when cooled it would still be dimpled inward (concave) towards the upside/topside of the hoop. Now fill in the upside/topside just like you originally did before with resin and apply the holo silicone etc. After it has cured and you pulled off the silicone holo, you flip it over and remove the the tape. You should now have a concave back surface thus allowing you to add a deeper layer of resin to fill in the back side, allowing you to have enough resin to get a good transfer of the silicone holo to the backside.! I hope this doesn't sound confusing/complicated, I don't think it would be hard at all. Also as an added benny it would be a better bond of the tape to the earring/less leakage. Luck of the Irish : would be the tape not staying concave ! ..Ah but one can only try.
Hello Friend 👋 How are you doing 😌I hope this year brings happiness, joy , and peace all over the world, I’m from Seattle Washington and you where are you form if I may ask? I’ve weather over there?
Hello, thanks for sharing all that you do. I am looking to get started in resin and I am waiting for some molds to arrive as I type, just a suggestioin if you revisit this project, how about making a silicone mold of the metal parts themselves, with the interior filled to half height, then youo could apply youur holographihc mold to the top, then remove from that mold, back fill what was the bottom, and apply the holo mold to that side, giving a holo look to both sides
I'm sure you've probably realized by now, but, to clear things up a bit... The circles at the top of the molds that went in 2 different directions was done so that certain ones will fall correctly as earrings, and the others will fall flat against your neck/chest for a necklace... 😉👍 But working with the "earrings" can be difficult because they don't lay flat against the tape easily...
So beautiful! You always achieve such beauty!
That gold teardrop with the defect looks like a dandelion. Bet with your artistic talents you could make it look even more like one. Great job!
Wowzas! Yes I'd love to see more. You could glue a magnet on the back of the heart and put it on your fridge 😘
Simply beautiful and mystifying ❤ Thank you❣️
This is amazing to me! How in the world does the holographic images get onto the silicone and then onto the resin? I absolutely love holo anything and I want to make everything holo now in one way or another!!
The tiny grooves transfer to the silicone and then the resin
I know right! My head is trying to wrap around the hole concept of how this all works! 👏😃 So cool!!!
In lust with the magic holo 💫
While the surface looks smooth the diffraction grating sheet actually has micron-scale grooves you would see under magnification.
Luckily silicone will pick up these TINY grooves and then even pass on to whatever we choose.
Chocolate is really cool to use it on as well. 👍
It’s amazing isn’t it Dawn!!! They can even make iridescent chocolate 🍫 it’s so cool! I think Ann Reardon has a video on it!
How many times can the same holograph sheet be used?
Gorgeous! I've been playing around with holo too...and let me tell u it is challenging to get it to be "perfect". It's frustrating, but I'm going to continue experimenting as well. 😻💜
Beautiful!!! You did an amazing job so stop criticizing yourself!!!🎉
I wonder if using a silicone mat under the pieces would keep the inlay from picking up dust and stuff from your wood table.
Beautiful. Love the holographic jewelry. Love to see more with holographics.

Ty so much for sharing. I’m addicted to crafting 💁♀️
BEAUTIFUL! Even the ones that have character are perfect!! Thank you for sharing 😊🤩
Love the video's. My favorite resin artist. Aside from the amazing art your personality keeps em coming back.
Those are beautiful. They look much better with the natural light. Yes make some more when you have time.
That is so strange. Thank you for showing and teaching us all the tips about using such strange stuff. 😂They turned out really well-especially for your first time. Yes, yes, more of that holographic stuff please😁
Puppies 🐶 are hungry...beautiful ending love those.
Your so clever. That’s such a cool idea and write what a result 😍
Oh my gosh. I loved watching this process. I was cheering too! Definitely subscribed!
Really beautiful!!! Thanks for sharing.
I like the look with the natural light. These are really cool. I bet they will look awesome being worn with the light flashing over them.
You did a great job, Thank you for sharing Julie. ❤❤
Fantastic! Great job for first time xx
These turned out really beautiful. I would like to see you do more of them.
They came out beautiful Julie 💙🥰
They turned out so nice! Thanks for sharing!
This is beautiful!! And they turned out amazing!!!
These are so lovely! I haven’t really liked the holographic stuff but these, now these I truly love! So pretty, ❤️❤️❤️
An idea for the tape is putting popsicle sticks on the ends to keep them weighted down
Beautiful! I will have to put Defraction paper on my bucket list.
Love to watch you create.
Beautiful. The one with the spot, I would make it a shallow hole and place a Swarovski crystal/rhinestone in the hole. Judy up the bling..
Amazingly awesome. Great job on your first try.
Now I know what to do with my bezels!! Love them!
I’m loving the process to make the holo silicone and the jewelry. I could definitely see the beautiful, holo effect. How gorgeous on that teardrop with the black cord, I’d glue a tiny rhinestone over that spot. 😊❤❤❤
They are cool! You could glue a few tiny rhinestones on the flawed parts.❤️

Exactly what I was thinking and a chance to add even more character
Magical! Super cute Julie 😍
An idea for the heart pendants. The fingerprint of a loved one in the sticky backing to be replicated in the final backing resin might be quite nice x

I didn't want to leave dents on my silicone though
Gorgeous, love watching your experiments, so much fun🤩👏🏼

I prefer your old camera angle. Just my preference. I love watching your creative pours. 😍
Love your work! I’ve found when using the resin tape make sure the bezels are on a soft surface to seal them well. Also don’t let them stay too long after they set up.
Enjoy watching you! They look awesome!🐾💚
Looks awesome!❤
Very pretty!! You can't go wrong with holo!! 😍
I really do love these!
Thank you!
This is so interesting. Hope you do more projects.
How can I get one of those silcone mats
Beautiful ❤️. I've seen others use a rolling pin to adhere the blank to the tape. That seemed to work.

So beautiful! Do you have a video on making the holographic sheet? Also, a spinner clasp would work neatly for these as window hangers.
Video 1473
So super cool!
So loving this.🥰😺
Art by me ,they look beautiful.
Those that have marks just glue a small gem or a little metal rose to hide the marks I love them their great!
If you turn them over after placing the bezels you can burnish them and it usually prevents leakage.
It only takes a minute to clean it out lol and Amazon has some holographic windows covering which you can also use for this plus they have a design in the window covering which makes it pretty neat ❤️ them..
I love them if the backing was a dark green they would look like Canadian amiolite jems
Where the wee flaw is on the first pear drop could you possibly hand drill at the flaw and insert a tiny gemstone. They are stunning!!!!
Beautiful I Love
Nice! Maybe doming it with a thin layer of clear resin to protect the holographic finish?
Rub your stick or another tool along edges of each piece. Then press the piece down. You can also try to lift each piece with a bright light, looking for areas still needing pressed. Great pieces I can make for my son in law who macramés glass pendants for friends.
They are great Julie. We’re all on a learning curve but they’ve turned out beautifully
Well done
Link for film?? :)
14:45 With all the tiny grooves in that silicone, I would think you'd never trap air bubbles. Air can still escape along all those little grooves.

Exactly what I’m thinking!
Love these.
I don't understand how it works..
How it transfers off the silicone...
Just beautiful 😍
Maybe glue a bead or something over marks 🤔 dont throw away.
I would love to see it in a multi color scheme
Maybe a bright light on silicone will show if bubbles.
