  • On this episode of Maker Mind, we're joined by Nita from ‪@NitasFluidWoodworks‬ as she walks us through the process of encapsulating Chiffon fabric in Deep Pour Epoxy Resin to create a unique piece of wall art. You'll learn not only the detailed process of embedding Chiffon into epoxy resin, including the selection of the right materials and the importance of safety practices, but also the expert techniques Nita has honed over her years of crafting with epoxy resin to ensure your artwork dazzles with a professional finish.
In addition to this epoxy resin tutorial, the episode also offers a behind the scenes look into the world of Nita, the creative force behind Nita's Fluid Woodworks. Moreover, Nita shares her advice for new and experienced Makers in the epoxy resin community.

I haven’t watched it yet but just from the thumbnail, I’m really excited to learn how you do this so I can try it in a bit. It looks fantastic af. I don’t have the fabric you do but I have an old sheet I can airbrush first and try it out in a coaster mould a few times lol. Great job. 😊

I have been working with small items (coasters, trays, etc) mainly due to space for several years. I think my largest project was a coffee table with pennies encased in resin. I have been wanting to try a resin table top with pinecones that I saw pictures of awhile back. Need to get a mold for it. This is an amazing tutorial and piece! You are a very inspiring artist and look forward to more of your videos. 🌺

That is gorgeous. I’ve been wanting to try that, but I have not yet my biggest project I have ever done is my kitchen counters me and my sister did them. They turned out awesome when I was visiting my sister and Illinois. We found a sawmill that sells wood that they have, gotten from diseased trees makes awesome pieces and their prices are phenomenal. I brought a big load home. I have made one piece so far, I can’t wait to make more thank you for sharing. This is my second video and so far you’re awesome.

Depending on the size you can add hairpin legs or a custom base. Hair pin legs from Amazon is the easiest way in our opinion. It would make such a cute little side table if you don't want to hang it on a wall!
