I disagree, he is the best HERO archetype, but that doesn’t necessarily mean he’s the best superhero character wise. I think characters like Magneto, Daredevil, Nova, Nightcrawler, and Storm bring more to the table when it comes to superhero characterization. It’s a lot more nuanced for them, especially from their morals. Many X-Men characters are severely underrated in the general public, because life isn’t as simple or black and white as a lot of Spider-man runs cover. Hickman’s Powers of X/House of X and later Magneto centric runs in Fall of X was some of the best characterizations and analysis of what being a superpowered individual is. Being relatable doesn’t necessarily a better character, it means more people may choose that hero as their favorite because it appeals to as many people as possible. But sometimes unrelatable characters are amazing in their own way, I can’t relate to Magneto’s aim for mutant superiority in his earlier runs, or being a loud outspoken mutant willing to bear his identity and face, taking in what the world thinks of him head on, or being a mutant messiah, but I can sure as hell relate to him in feeling like an outcast and discarded since his childhood, and those small glimpses of relatability and vulnerability in exceptional, bigger than life personalities can be just as powerful and impactful.

@@SoGoodContent You got taste fr🙏🏽 I love your video and your content, and I love Spidey especially as an adult now more than ever ironically. I feel like i can finally relate to him in terms of his personal responsibilities he has to the people around him. Ironically he appeals to younger people, but I think he hits the hardest as one ages. Everything really starts to hit home. His character arc, his story really starts to make sense once you start experiencing responsibility and accountability as a young adult. Being an outcast comes in so many ways, that’s why the X-Men, like Spider-man, are so universal and speak to so many experiences and stories. It’s kind of ironic how as a child the X-Men spoke to me, and as a young adult Spider-man speaks to me, despite them tackling different experiences and themes. Now that I’m older I definitely see myself in Peter often, and of course anyone can wear the mask, that’s what makes Spidey such an iconic character. @@SoGoodContentI don't agree with that take on Peter Parker. Sam Raimi's Spiderman is my favorite because, to me, he's the most relatable out of the three. I don't really get why some people (Cosmonaut for example, ew) think Raimi's Spiderman is too dorky. He is the perfect combination of attractiveness, nerdiness, and relatability. Gonna disagree with you on that one. Not becoming a villain in the face of hardship isn’t the mark of a hero; it’s the mark of any normal, decent human. Becoming a villain just means that you had the propensity to become one from the start, but you just needed an excuse. It’s not that refusing to be a villain means you are strong; it’s that becoming a villain means you are weak.
In the Ultimate Spider-Man comic, there's a moment that truly shows why Spider-Man is the best superhero. He jumps in front of a bullet to save Captain America, even after being told he's not ready to be a superhero. It's a powerful moment that highlights Spider-Man's selflessness. He didn't hesitate or think twice about protecting someone else, even when he was doubted by Captain America earlier.

Dude. This isn't good at all. IT WAS FREAKING AWESOME TO THE MAX!!!!! I love this view on Spider-Man/Peter Parker. I personally love Spider-Man because he's the perfect embodiment of a good willed person. Doing various things like constantly showing us time and time again that with or without powers we all the ability to be a good human being. During one of the Amazing Spider-Man runs Peter Parker fought Morlun for the very first time. It's one of my favorite moments in the comics simply because it shows Peter's determination to stick to his values and principles. Morlun was unlike anything he's ever fought, and it was a one-sided battle. Peter could have run away and allowed other heroes to deal with Morlun. He wanted so badly to just once let someone else come and save the day. He was fighting non-stop for 12 straight hours and had so many opportunities to run away. But he chooses to go back each moment until he found a way to beat Morlun. The "never give up" mentality he has even when he's in the worst situations always inspires me. Even to this day! Thank you so much for this!
It all started with the 70’s Spider-Man show, Spider-Man and his Amazing Friends, followed by the 90’s series, to then seeing Tobey’s Spider-Man 1 in theaters at 7 years old and catching every release in theaters, and when Andrew’s films were released, I was also there for each one and always supported Andrew, then Tom came into the picture and became my all time favorite version of Peter Parker, who is everything that Tobey was for me when I was a kid, amplified, making them alike for me and keeping my love for Spider-Man alive to this day and everything he stands for as a person no matter what everyone says. He’s been with me my whole life, and I’ll always owe him my life for that.
Spiderman is the greatest superhero of all time for menot just because he is relatable. But because he is an inspiration. If superman is a god living among us and living for us, spiderman is man, living for us, forgetting himself. There is nothing that exaggerated about him. He is strong but he is no superman who is the strongest, he is fast, but not the flash who is the fqstest, he is smart, but not tony or bruce. He can fight but not the best matial artist like batman. What every other hero has going for them is that there is something that makes it easy for them to do what they are doing. It can be powers or background which makes them a cut above the rest. Superman is god, but he is inspiration to do better Batman is human, but he is the richest man, rhe smartest, the best fighter with an arsenal of tools and prep time for his prep time. Spiderman is simply a man who is has powers but he also has his own struggles which we can actually understand
I feel like batman's also pretty similar to how good spider man is, just in a slightly different more mental way. Sure, he may be rich, and he can use his money to solve pretty much any problem, but him being batman has basically ruined his life mentally, and no matter how much money he has, he will always feels empty and alone. The best piece of media that represents this is definitely Batman mask of the phantasm, and the scene "I didn't count on being happy" is the best scene to sum everything up. Sure he could use his money to raise awareness or increase the quality and amount of police, and he still does to some degree, but instead also gives everything in his life up to dedicate being the Batman to make sure that nobody goes through what he did as a child ever again.
What about Superman? does he not sacrifice his life as Clark Kent to be Superman, does he not leave his family to be Superman, does Superman not choose to be Superman because of his own choice?
The difference I think is that Clark Kent is still a respected journalist who has a job to fall back on and Superman is basically a demi god. Superman's story and Spiderman's story while similar are enjoyable for different reasons. Superman is a alien who is arguably more human then most people. He's at the top but always there for the little guy. Spiderman is strong but is often the little guy sticking up for the other little guys at the expense of everything he has. He's an underdog more times then not.
Spiderman is the more relatable superhero, not the best. The best Superhero is Superman, someone who always do what is right. You stop in a hard situation and think "what superman would do?" and you will made what is right. If you stop in a hard situation and think "what spiderman would do?" you probably quit, find the way to earn money of it or worst, youre uncle ends dead. Spiderman is not a good superhero, he's just a f*#@g great character. A superhero is a superhero, Marvel doesnt have good heroes, it has good characters.
I’m not a spidey hater but how are you saying one of the reasons he’s the best is that he doesn’t use his powers to make a shit ton of money, when literally every hero does that.
Good comment, the main difference is that Spidey is broke, the flash, wonder woman, ms.marvel, ect ect, all have well paying jobs that allow them to own homes and have peace when they arent in the mask, spidey doesnt. Love the comment though its a great addition to the convo so imma pin ya

Spider man is suffering from super hero syndrome it’s not ok he and the rest of the spider people in different universes need to say no and overcome this syndrome marvel is making a profit of spider man suffering it’s wrong
Spiderman is not the best superhero. Spiderman is not even the best Marvel character (I could argue that Daredevil and Wolverine are far superior). However, Spiderman is cool for a demographic that considers the concept of being cool extremely important in their lives, and that demographic is teenagers. Spiderman is the perennial teenager that no matter how much good he does his problems revolve around teenager issues. Spiderman, as opposed to other superheroes, is disliked by figures of authority; again, teenager’s sentiments. His mask, along with his quips and jokes, is a vehicle to cover his insecurities, and what says adolescence more than being insecure? This is what makes Spiderman so important. There is no other character in comics that captures the feeling of being a teenager better than Spiderman.

I don't care what anyone says about spiderman. For me he is the greatest hero and he will always be my greatest superhero.
Superhero? he can´t even fight anymore!
3:18 L cap they're right every marvel superhero does.
Spidey is the goat

Man MHA and Spiderman have very similar characters 😭
Which version Peter Parker are you talking about? For example, Peter Parker (Earth-15) is evil.

Superman is god, but he is inspiration to do better
Batman is human, but he is the richest man, rhe smartest, the best fighter with an arsenal of tools and prep time for his prep time.
You spelled Ghost Rider wrong.
Spider-Man
Joe Bartolozzi is right.
Fyi superman built the house of DC
@@SoGoodContent so hes your favorite just because hes poor? and chooses to be a hero? and even when he has free time he still slacks and is late to his job for literally no reason..
@@cleragius3125 🤣 if by Slacks you mean saves all of new york at the expense of his own human life, then yea.
@@SoGoodContent other heroes save their people and cities but still make money, he's just a slacker as he misses his job half the time when he's not even being spiderman
there's a company that made spider man plushies but peter said "its hard to get paid without giving out your identity"
He is the heroest hero but by changing the world he's not even top 10 best superhero.
Batman >>>Iron Man
Spiderman >>>>>Batman
Iron Man>>> Batman
Spider-Man>>> Batman and iron man
Dawg without Superman dc and superhero’s as a whole wouldn’t even have existed and Superman is barleys in my top 10 Nightwing is my favorite hero and Lucifer if my favorite character
You do realize most Marvel money is made because of Spider-Man, so please stop
