- Man I Love EMH and figured the captain would make for a fun video covering all his arc's through the first season. This is my personal favorite interpretation of the captain in animation, it feels nice getting toi talk about him again.

I always loved that flashback to WW2 that revealed that Wolverine was a member of Captain America’s Commandos
I hope we see that in the MCU. Maybe in a Secret Wars flashback?
@@lovecraftianleviathan8918I'm afraid the MCU will never reach this high
Ikr so interesting
@@Eldoofus Plus, Cpt. Is old now, and Chris Evans is past the character. It be both disingenuous and unnecessary at this point.
What I love is how this show was slowly building Cap's character from the man out of time who is perfect soldier, one who takes orders. To slowly adjusting to modern era and eventually becoming the leader
Literally a perfect storyline
Good soldiers follow orders.
There's a deleted scene in _The Avengers_ where Steve Rogers tried to fit in with the modern world as he's sitting in the cafe, sketching in his sketchbook.
EMH was peak Marvel animation. The perfect answer to the JL & JLU.
Sure was. But everytime Marvel Animations took a step closer to closing the gap in the market, they'd take three steps backwards. . thanks to Ari. 😅
I’ve always said that too. 👊🏾
EMH also makes a better compliment to the X-Men 97 and Spider-Man: TAS in my personal opinion.
EMH just tells better stories than what the 90s Iron Man and Avengers shows did.
I would say it as the answer to Young Justice season 1 and 2.
@@Xcutioner220 EMH came out 9/22/2010. YJ came out 11/26/2010
@@DaniG._.German I know that's what I said the show came out right out the same time with quality superheroes animated show.
It's a shame that Avengers: Earth's Mightiest Heroes got cancelled after its second season, they had a good thing going story wise. Not to mention they did the Secret Invasion storyline better than the MCU did.
I love the fact it included almost the marvel universe including spider-man in an epilogue story.
Yep, they were gonna show Photon, the original 5 X-Men displaced in time, and other cool stuff, but alas Disney fucked up everything just because they didn't had the rights to the X
X-Men and Fantastic 4
Doctor Who made a better Secret Invasion, and it was done in only two episodes.
EMH's version of Secret Invasion was my first introduction to the storyline. To say MCU fumbled Secret Invasion would be an understatement.
Yeah. I hated that they cancelled the show to make a new series more in line with the then upcoming Avengers movie franchise.
Pretty sure an entire generation of Marvel fans discovered the Avengers through EMH before the MCU popularized them globally. And Brian Bloom’s Cap performance is just as good as Chris Evans. He really feels like someone who you want to impress in the direst of circumstances.
Yep the show introduced me to avengers. I remember reading on a news paper in 2010 about a avengers movie coming out and I was so hyped!
I discovered them through marvel ultimate alliance
I can't remember if I watched those Utimates movies (specifically the second one with Ultron) first, but God was it a seminal cartoon in my childhood. "It was a day unlike any other."
Thank you for pointing out what makes Cap great here in Brian Bloom's performance. Every Cap comic that I read will forever and always have Bloom's amazing voice on it and it will always be the best voice.
I'm from a french speaking country, watched EMH in its original dub but listened to the french one with my niece (she was 5 at that time), Cap's french voice was great, it sounded soft but one with authority. Like this idea of the calm man you don't want to disapoint or anger. Not as great as Bloom, but that's good from a modern french cast perspective.
Wow, that Hulk interaction was great! Hulk has mostly been seen by his allies as a necessary liability and even a monster, so for him to hear Cap call him a hero despite his nature was actually very heartwarming.
This hulk is capable of think things better than the one from the comics. Even he was able to tell iron man what kind of energy he was looking to one time.
My favourite interaction is between Hulk and Wasp
“You’re… helping me?”
“Yeah! Now punch him.”
We need back this series
This is also why Hulk likes Spider-Man. Spidey doesn't judge or fear Hulk for what he is, Spidey trusts Hulk and realizes that Hulk is simply misunderstood, and Hulk shows beyond any shadow of a doubt that he thinks the world of Spidey, as when everyone else had forgotten Spidey due to his deal with Mephisto, _Hulk did not_ and stated very simply: *"Hulk always remembers his friends."*
Imagine how that must have felt for Spidey, to realize that Hulk thought so highly of him that not even *_MEPHISTO_* could erase Hulk's memories of Peter/Spidey. Were I in that situation and found that someone like Hulk thought so highly of me, it would have been incredibly humbling and I'd be beyond grateful for it.
Though Hulk has many different versions. The EMH version seems to be a mix of "Classic" Hulk & "Professor" Hulk due to having all of the power of the classic version yet also retaining his intelligence as shown by him identifying that Michael Korvak was emitting a form of Cosmic Radiation. IMO, the EMH version of Hulk would be one of the most formidable, as he'd be far more than just a "dumb brute", he'd have all of that raw power and durability backed up by Banner's intelligence.
I also wish they'd bring EMH back, as there were still plenty of potential villains left untouched and unused, such as Thanos, Dormammu, Mephisto, etc. They could feasibly even have had the Avengers get involved in a possible "Sinister Six" scenario that Spidey was having real trouble with on his own, so the Avengers step in to help Spidey out both to stop the Sinister Six, and because they "owe" Spidey for his efforts against Kang. They could possibly even have gone into a plot-line where the Avengers possibly came into conflict with Magneto and the Brotherhood, and/or had Apocalypse show up in some way.
This show is one of the best written ones, he's not just a mindless monster or Mark Ruffalo painted green
Let's face it, EVERYTHING was perfect in this show.
Not really, as the second half of the second season was rushed and boring compared to the rest(except the Spiderman episode, that one was great).
@@LordofSadFac Yeah the powers to come that brought us the awful avengers assemble were starting to take charge. I believe the head said something along the lines of "kid shows don't need to be well written," which explains a lot of what came from animated Marvel after EMH was cancelled. As a kid I was very disappointed in Assemble's almost none existent plot.

Pretty poethic if you ask me
Cobra: "You think I'm going to listen to you?"
Viper: " You will Cobra, we can destroy them all later, But for now you will do as Captain America says"
EMH is the only adaptation I’ve seen that really got the comics. The were faithful to the source material where most movies and cartoons were not.
The episode where Captain America has to escape the Kree ship lives in my head forever.
You mean the *Skrull* prison?
Yeah, the episode where the Skrull are holding him captive is awesome. He was so badass in that episode.

EMH had the best adaptations of pretty much everyone imo, wish we got another season
Even it’s adaptation of Luke cage, iron fist, Spider-Man , and FF are goated. The universe feels so lived in
@@everything-comics1102 isn't EMH spider-man just a redubbed version of Spectacular Spider-man?
@@GribbleGob pretty much, that’s why I think it’s one of the best adaptations
This is easily the best version of Captain America. Honestly, I feel like this is Marvel's best project as a whole, and I feel as if this is where the characters are best represented. great vid
so far theyve nailed it but "we'll be watching."
Brian Bloom is still the voice I hear reading the comics. Earth’s Mightiest Heroes, especially Cap, is an ABSOLUTE MASTERPIECE. Marvel at some of its Best.
Marvel at its best period.
Agreed, he absolutely nailed the voice. He is THE Captain America.
"...but goes about it in a Starkly different way...'
I see what you did there.
I wish they had brought Logan to say hi to cap since he was part of his team. He is in fact in captain’s hallucination in Helas domain.
Does this mean Logan died? If Bucky isn’t there that means he is alive.
@@theonlydiego1 I think it proves this is an illusion or created by captan’s mind at least, as he refused to believe Bucky had died, because Logan is canonically alive in this show.
What's also fascinating is, despite his flaws and being a villain, the dedication of Zemo. The moment Cap was confirmed to still be alive, he not only leaves HYDRA, the group where he was basically the top dog and could've helped him with its resources, to finish him off _personally._
This is my all-time favorite adaptation of a comic character. His voice (it's perfect), his leadership, his simple classic costume, him actually having a good reaction to the future, his villains, and his unwavering determination make him the best adaptation easily.
As much as I love Loki's interpretation in the mcu, nothing ever beats EMH's adaptations of all these characters. My favorites are cap, hulk, and thor.
Captain America may look like a very naive and banal character, but for me he is the real personification of freedom. Maybe it used to be boring because of the propaganda of democracy and all that, but the MCU perfectly showed how an idealist lives in the real world. A man who is ready to go against the whole world, and even his best friends, when necessary, as in the situation with Bucky and Ironman (especially in the comics). A man of the old school, the personification of America, what it should be. Yes, his idealism can be annoying and repulsive, but I believe that it is precisely such characters who can send the law and many other things just for the sake of justice and honor that can change the world and the hearts of other people. A voice of support and help that will be heard when people need it the most. When this world is so harsh, cruel and unfair. Captain America is a hero for a reason, even for heroes. He is the walking embodiment of the concept of freedom and justice, what many heroes want to be. And although he changes as a person and makes mistakes, his main features always remain with him.
Anyone who finds idealism repulsive is repulsive.
Avengers: EMH has always and WILL always be one of the better interpretations of Marvel Heroes; right alongside Spectacular Spider-Man, Moon Girl and the current X-Men '97.
Speaking of, I hope EMH will be given the same chance at a continuation that the 90's X-Men show got
My nephew always dances when the opening theme plays and always cries when Bucky dies.
I'd rather have a comic book continuation of Avengers EMH. There are actually tie in comics written by the show's creator Chris Yost and it feels like they are ripped straight out of the show. He said he would do it if Marvel had the appetite for it. Also it would give him more creative control and would require less hoops to jump through for any rights issues Marvel may still have.
@@DavidMartinez-ce3lp Hypothetically speaking...if EMH were to return to the airwaves with a new season, how do you think the show's version of Moon Girl and Devil Dinosaur might look
@@SilverScribe85 I don't think they'd introduce them to be completely honest. They'd pick up where they left off and none of the plans they had include either character. I honestly don't really see those characters fitting into the world, but it might be more grounded and serious if they ever did.
@@DavidMartinez-ce3lp That's true, they didn't include Thanos during the show (despite having a character drawing of him)
EMH in general is so peak
Avengers Earth's Mightest Heroes is the best adaptation of the WHOLE Marvel Universe. PERIOD.
The crossovers with the Fantastic Four was great too. I wanted to see a crossover with Wolverine and the X-men as well.
15:14 One of my favorite Cap moments also his heart to heart with Spider-Man was a good one too
I'm personally fond of his no hesitation save of Viper in season 2, sacrificing himself in the processs.
"What is he doing?
"He's being Captain America."
Simple, but so very effective.
God help me I love how this cartoon did Captain America so damn well
This interpretation of Captain America is the Greatest of all time and props to Brian Bloom for voicing the Character.
EMH is long overdue for a Comeback and we can only hope that it'll get the X-men '97 Treatment along with other shows that Christopher Yost has made.
I'm Italian, cap isn't my favorite hero but I can certainly say he is a icon, even if the creator of the boys think he is a joke. I think is a inspiration, a man who can be a legend, who can be a hero and a better person because he can inspire you to be more kind
I'm so glad that EMH gave a at least more accurate depiction of the Avengers coming together and Cap not being a founder.
I'm glad this show and the Ultimate Avengers movies gave us Captain America where he was largely absent from the 90s tv shows where both he and Thor only made cameos.
Great video you got a new subscriber.
I agree this is the best animated version of captain america I've seen and for this coming out not long before his first mcu movie it was a awesome time to be a cap fan and they did the man out of time thing great whoever did the writing for his character should have got a award

This is definitely one of my favorite animated shows
This is arguably the best adaptation/version of Captain America I've ever seen, I agree
I love how within 5 days this became your channels most popular video. Well done my friend.
I always loved rewatching EMH and putting the pieces together in the Kang story arc. The foreshadowing was awesome.
I miss this show, it had great action, comedy, characters and an awesome theme song. I hope the rumor about this show coming back turns out to be true.
EMH was my everything as a kid!! and my god that opening theme is so peak. so sad it had only 2 seasons
im so happy my youtube algorithm always shows me small youtubers that make fire vids
This show was the JLU of marvel for me, what a great adaptation of characters and storylines. I wish that current superhero movies post endgame had a little more substantial interactions between characters. Like cap and hulk having a moment of conversation of value, no quips or anything just true character in action. Great vid man!
I can’t believe I was the prime audience of this show. That being young kids on Disney channel. I wish I was slightly older so I could’ve properly enjoyed it (I was 5 when it came out). Glad you brought that deep memory back out of me.😊
I love that show. One of my childhood favorites that still hits to this day.
Cap's my favorite marvel hero, because he isn't called "Captain America" because he fights for America. He's called that, because he fights for the American Way. He serves the people first, his country second
BRILLIANT VIDEO, I CANNOT PRAISE YOU HIGHLY ENOUGH. THANK YOU 👍🏿 JUNIOR FROM LONDON 🇬🇧🇬🇧🇯🇲🇯🇲
I love this series and I especially love how they're not afraid to go a different route than the MCU, which was still building up to Avengers (2012) when EMH was running. I'm glad the show had slightly different takes on the characters and lore than MCU and it makes it all the more charming and unique
This show and captain America the first Avenger are what made cap my favorite avenger
I love how captain America feels like he behind with technology (technically he is) then this man from the future (kang comes to modern day and then Tony feels like the same way Steve felt . Amazing parallel and amazing video
12:24 Hulk is so badass and hardcore, he don't need no space suit!
I loved the wolverine cameo and how they snuck that in.
One of my favorite things about this show is that they gave respect to every character that they put in. Even the ones that were generally lame were a threat.
This is why Captain America is my favorite superhero. He succeeded in his own battle when others fail. The others are who I am, Captain America is who I want to be.
15:24 That right there is the essence of Captain America. He saw the best in people.
I love how well-planned AEMH was
They show Kang mid first season, where he claims that Captain America will destroy the Earth
At first, this obviously sounds like a lie
Skip forward to season 2, where a Skrull disguised as Cap is pulling Earth into the Skrull-Kree war, making Kang somewhat right
this video was awesome, gave me a new perspective on Captain America after enjoying Chris Evans depiction of him a lot
I just want to say I enjoy your videos immensely, they are great, filled with heart and soul. I am glad you chose to focus on the EMH series as it was creatively outstanding. I also enjoy your take on Superman and Spider-Man, but in general I just would like to thank you for putting together such an interesting, entertaining and uplifting bunch of stuff. Well done sir.
This show had a seriously banging opening
Great video on Captain America. EMH is my favorite series. The writing was awesome
This is my new favorite RUclips channel lol. Love your video essays
~the hulk interaction & the spider man one as well were great !
"White man was here" "How can you tell?" "Video essay"

I really agree with the parallel you made at the end about Cap and Superman occupying a similar sort of space as far as heroes go. They're supposed to represent the best of the people they protect, and they absolutely do have flaws and shortcoming and struggles, but flaws are supposed to stop short of straight up corruption. This interpretation of Cap (and pretty much all the characters) is easily one of the best versions and introducing him with villains like Zemo was a fantastic way to get into the meat of his origin and past without having to do a whole retelling or going over the parts we've seen a dozen times.
“Who am I? I had almost forgotten myself. But I am not lucky enough to forget forever; to forget that I was once the man the world called...Captain America!" 😎
-from “The Avengers” #4, 1963
Im so glad people are still talking about this show
Holy shit, a video about Earth's Mightiest Heroes! I watched this show when I was a literal child.
Why do you have so few subs. The quality and script are great! I'm always looking for more discussion around animated marvel/DC, so glad this was pushed to me!
I love Caps build
This version, I can believe he's a supersoldier
Same thing with Thor. You see AEMH Thor and you believe he's strong enough to fight Hulk
really good character analysis.
Amazing breakdown man!
This avengers show did every hero and villain so perfectly that I don’t think any other adaption can surpass. This was the only captain America to me!
God I love this channels analysis
My favorite scene is from the Gamma World episode where he shames Iron Man into leading lol.
Iron Man tries to get Black Panther to walk into the gamma irradiated area first and Cap stops BP then tells Iron Man that leaders lead.
This is an excellent essay
Please make a part 2 for this! 🙏
I need to watch this show. i can't believe I haven't seen it
One small correction: For the Masters of Evil episode, I think Hawkeye and Black Panther were over at the Wakanda Embassy rather than in Wakanda itself.
You are correct I messed that up 😅
Wow what a great video, you should do a analysis of all the avengers in this show.
You might want to tune in this Wednesday then 😊
Earth mightiest heroes was one of the best cartoons I ever watched
loved this.
This show was goat level.
They need to bring the show back and cross it over with X-Men 97 and the new Spider-Man next coming out
youve earned yourself a new sub
How do you have such a small following?? This is some of my favorite editing I’ve seen in a loooong timr
There's an even easier to spot clue that what Cap saw in Niflheim was just an illusion and not the actual souls of his fallen comrades.
Cap says it's because Bucky isn't there but, considering we know Cap wished for Bucky to have survived the war, I like to think some small part of him, deep down in his subconscious knew he'd wished Bucky back with the Cosmic Cube.
Though, like monkey's paw wish, because Cap made his at the same time Baron Struker did, both their wishes melded into one, Bucky surviving the war but becoming Red Skull's plan for Hydra to win the war, but the best chance not coming til Cap was back.
So, the clue that really told Cap, even if he didn't realise it, that what he was seeing were fake images?
Logan was among the dead.
In Captain America's intro episode of EMHA, one of the soldiers on Cap's team is very clearly a pre Wolverine Logan. Like, ot couldn't be more obvious if they'd had someone call him as fierce as a Wolverine while he was in that episode.
And we clearly see Wolverine in the season 2 episode where Kang makes one final effort to win by rewriting time, so, Logan showing up in the realm of the dead?
Not possible when he's still alive.
Now, the man Logan was during the war is technically dead, yes, as most of his memories from that war are long gone with so many others, never to be properly restored, but the man himself is not dead, so was very obviously an illusion created to trick Cap.
Bucky clued him in, but Logan's being there clued us the audience in
This show did a great job at being faithful to the comics, not necessarily in adapting any one single story (although they did a couple justice) but in understanding and portraying the most key elements of each character and their stories. I always thought the MCUs biggest mistake was not having Wasp and Ant-Man on the original Avengers team. I get why logistically they couldn’t figure it out, but this shows overall Avengers dynamic works so much better with them.
Hulk doesn't actually need oxygen. That's something alot of writers get wrong about him
I also love the interactions later in Season 2 with Cap.
This was the best Avengers cartoon hands down. Captain America is my favorite superhero 🫡
Wow i never saw this show. Man ut looks so good
Just gonna say this here, a character arc is just as important as the character having that arc. Even more so if it isnt an established IP. Hollow "He always wins" settups can only take you so far.
Absolutely criminal that your subscriber count is so low! Great video man, always loved this show as a kid, love to see it analyzed as an adult!
You could honestly say this about any of the Avengers in EMH. That show was so good and ended way too soon
Fr loves this show so much, skrull invasion has to be top 5 arcs in marvel cartoons
"Another failed Hydra experiment...." 🤣🤣🤣
ASSEMBLED WE ARE STRONG…
My favorite animated series ever made
Can we all agree that this show had some of the best iterations of the avengers, even in live action. Seriously MCU did my man hulk dirty.
Damn I loved this show as a kid. Totally forgot it existed.
I would have love to see more Solo Captain America adventures instead of just being a full time Avengers all the time. I wish the showed all the Avengers in their personal lives.
This show also had the perfect adaptation of Thor. In the MCU he is treated as a moronic frat boy. However in Mightiest Heroes he treated as a man from another culture/world. He sees things the way a 3rd world foreigner may see the everyday in a 1st world country. Everything is new, but similar in some ways. He's curious and has genuine desire to learn more. He can be aggressive, but is usually jovial first like MCU Thor, but waaaay less dude bro and more regal with how he treats people. He and Black Panther even have an episode where they discuss the burden of ruling. Overall I think this the best Thor has been represented and I hope the MCU gets a clue.
This adaptation was my first introduction to Captain America so it was only down hill from here, mightiest heroes was so damn good
This show is hands down the perfect adaptation and didn't deserve to be canceled. Screw brand Synergy we need variety
EMH is generally one of the best marvel adaptations IMO
