Peter Parker is punished when he does the right thing but he still chooses whats right because it is the right thing to do. That's what makes him a hero.
And another thing is his resilience. No matter how hard he’s hit he always gets up. No matter how hard his villains try to destroy him physically and emotionally he always gets up. Because that’s what a hero does. That’s what makes him one of the greatest fictional characters IMO
another thing is that really helps Peter is the world of Superheroes. Peter isn't the strongest hero, that's Thor/Hulk, He isn't the smartest hero, that Mr. Fantastic/Hank Pym/Iron Man, he's not the most experienced hero Wolverine/Thor again, he's not the biggest leader of the heroes, Captain America/Cyclops. Peter can EASILY decide the world has plenty of heroes that they don't need him and with the bad press that follows him, it would be the smart thing to do. But Peter realizes he can still help, he can still save lives, that he has responsibility to help others and so he does. Because that's what a hero does, that's what it means to be Spider-Man
And that's what makes the MCU version so great. The build up of almost getting everything he every wanted. Love, a father and mother figure, friends...all taken away from him at his choice for the better good. His heroism and sacrifice at age 18 (in the movie) is more mature than a 40+ year old Dr. Strange that basically deals in absolutes.
@@alessandroortiz379 well when stan first showed his creation to the people leading the marvel company their reaction was rather negative saying shit along the lines of" you're idea is going to fail because spiders are disgusting and unappealing insects, you also want to make him a kid with problem? Listen stan kids are only sidekicks in comics and real heroes shouldnt bother with real life problems it's just not going to be appealing to the readers" but then he proved them wrong by creating the most iconic marvel character ever.
"But Spider-Man can't even benchpress a planet or warp reality!" No. No he can't. And yet, you'll always see him on the front line of people taking on cosmic threats and malevolent gods. The same way you'll see him on the front lines of saving people from bank robbers or fulfilling Make-a-Wish Foundation requests. Don't get me wrong, he's not perfect. But, and listen up, writers, he's not a whipping boy, either! He's not a man-baby who cries about how life is too hard when he's the one sabotaging his one life. _He's Spider-Man, and with great power comes great responsibility isn't a ball-and-chain around his neck!_
And its a curse because he never asked to be spider man he didn't stop that one bad guy that killed his uncle and now he knows he can't stop being spiderman.Thats what makes him a true hero
You had me in the first half but nah that second part is absolutely wrong, its part of what makes him just as compelling because all people have a tendency to shoot themselves in the foot and then lament about their choices; Spiderman mules and reconsiders his choices, he regrets them as much as anyone would but that conviction he builds to move past them and beyond them is what makes him, well, Spiderman, and is one of the most iconic aspects about the character. Sometimes you are just ALLOWED to complain about life being shit because life really is just shit sometimes but spiderman teaches us that whilst it's okay to do that the more important part is to conquer it. Acknowledgment of both is key.
@@mouphtaoutidjani1749 See, there’s the thing; It’s literally not a curse, he asked his “friends” if they wanted to see the radiation experiment but they turned him down, so he was the only one watching the experiment, it wasn’t Random Chance like the Raimi Movies or Ultimate Spider-Man, he was the only kid in the room, the closest one to the beams and the spider fell on his hand, and another thing: Peter isn’t cursed with saving people as Spider-Man because it’s his responsibility, his gift and his curse, it’s a lot more complicated than that, he treats it as a hobby, he uses responsibility as a way to distract himself while doing the right thing
1) He has relatable problems. 2) His powers and morals allow him to stop crime without hurting the criminals. 3) Only Batman has a rogues gallery as big as his.

Goblin and company from the other universes showing up was the reason Peter didn't try to meet MJ or Ned again. He saw the other Spidermen talk about all the stuff they have fought and realized the problems like Vulture or Mysterio and people like the Goblin were still ahead of him.
Spider-Man is different from other superheroes and that what makes unique and different. And why I love Spider-Man and that he's the best Superhero in the world.
Raimi Trilogy, Spectaculer Spider-Man, & The Insomniac Spider-Man are my favorite versions of Spider-Man because it's the story not only about Spider-Man but the man behind the mask Peter Parker who have to deal with his double life as Spider-Man & his normal life
@@georgeb9991 yea they're not bad or best but scenes like, Peter risked his identity to calm a kid that stuck in the car under the bridge, Spidey helps a kid that bullied, the "you're my boy" speech, is one of the most Spider-Man moments ever
That is why i really like the movie, but i did'nt like the final "message" of Spiderman: Into The Spiderverse That is: Anyone can wear the mask I understand that, well, there is lot of versións of Spiderman in a lot of universes and all.....but, let's be real The little of Spiderman is more that a name and suit that anyone can just come and take Peter Parker EARNED that name and suit I like Miles, but in me opinion he should be his own characther with his own name and villains, no the shadow of Peter Parker
Peter's struggle being smart in poor is why he was relatable. While he's larger than life, his problems are grounded in reality. His imperfections are the reasons why he is a great character. He deals with them realistically and that inspires me.
I literally just bought the Spectacular Spider-Man on blu-ray over a week ago and binged it and it completely reinvigorated my love of Spider-Man as it reminded me why Spider-Man is just such a goddamn good character.

I always debate with myself who is the best Superhero of all time, between Batman and Spiderman. Both are polar opposites in many ways - Batman is rich, Spidey is poor, Batman is human, Spidey has powers, Batman is detached and broody, whereas Spidey is bright, quippy and relatable. But there's something, they both share in common (apart from being geniuses and having the two best rogues galleries in comics) - is that they bare the weight of the world, despite all the personal sacrifices, pain and tragedy it brings them. Batman is a cold, aloof prick to almost everyone around him, but that's because deep down he cares so much, he feels he has to suffer the pains of the world so that no one else has to. He is so utterly obsessed with his crusade, that he ends up pushing those closest to him away, and his relationships with women almost always end in failure. He is doomed to end up alone, because that is the life fate has chosen him. Yes Bruce is one of the richest men in the world, and has been given a life infinitely more privileged than Peter, but his wealth is more of a necessity to do what no one else can. He is a man who has stared into the abyss itself, and he toes the line of that abyss every night he goes out, but he never lets it consume him. On the flip side, his villains are representations of what happens if you do let the abyss consume you. But Batman is close enough to see the pain and despair in all its ugliness, and despite all that he still strives to do good, and has an iron resolve to never get pushed over that line - despite the Joker's best efforts. Spiderman however is an everyman, who doesn't have Batman's unrelatable status as a Billionaire. Nope, Pete struggles to pay his rent, can't get a proper job, can't keep a girlfriend - everyday struggles we can all relate to. We all wish we had superpowers to change our life around, to do what is best for ourselves - and how many of us would actually use them for the good of others. Pete despite how crappy his personal life is, never once uses his powers selfishly. He continues to endure his sucky life, despite how easily he could turn it around, because he has the ability to do what others can't. He selflessly goes out and puts his life on the line to help every person or thing he can find, whether it be foiling a bank robbery, stopping a world ending alien invasion, or simple getting a cat out of a tree for an old lady. He doesn't detach himself, and see himself as some superior being, who others have to bow to. He acts like just another New Yorker you can hang out with. He can still crack a joke in the tensest of situations, something Batman can never do. He is the proof that absolute power doesn't have to corrupt absolutely. I love Batman, and the world of Gotham more than any other comic book universe. But Spidey as a character is my personal favourite - as the ultimate selfless dude, who despite his incredible powers and deeply tragic personal life, can still keep his head up, be a grounded person, and help thousands of people, and ask for nothing in return. He is the personification of a hero.
Spidey is relatable come on he’s a genius he’s handsome he dates the hottest girl and he could be rich if he wanted to be and the crimes he stop like saving cats or stopping robbieries can be ignored and things won’t change can’t say the same for Batman
Spider-man is one of the greatest superheroes of all time. I always admired him and wanted to be like him as a kid. There is a lot of great qualities about this character, but the main reason why I love this character is because he finds a way to still be a good person even through his struggles in life. Another great video bro keep up the good work👍🏾
Peter Parker's story saved my life as a kid in ways that I can only attempt to describe. In a dysfunctional family after mom passed away, with no example to follow there he was. Showing me how difficult it is to make the right choice and shouldering the consequences along with it. How doing the right thing sometimes didn't feel like the right thing and yet was important to choose. He was the fictional big brother I never had, providing an example for me to follow. I get emotional talking about this because that's how much the character means to me. I thoroughly enjoyed this video and I would love to hear more about what you think of no way home it's already seen it. I feel that we finally have the Spider-Man that we were waiting for from Tom Holland. I wasn't sold on him right away because the MCU deviated from the origin a little. Peter never needed Tony Stark in the comics to be Spider-Man. If anything, falling in with Tony Stark was a mistake during the original Civil War storyline. But he's proven himself worthy of being in the avengers, as well as shouldering the burden of responsibility his great powers come with.If you haven't seen the film yet I will not spoil it for you but trust me when I say this is one for the fans both of the comic and of the movies.
Also-I fully agree with the Osborn story idea. I’ve been waiting that exact story as I recognized it’s perfect slot in MCU Spidey’s story as well. You probably saw it years ago as I did. The other thing they should do is go more down the Spectacular Spider-Man and even Ultimate Spider-Man route and let Osborn be a manipulative mastermind over time, rather than turning him into a physical threat right away.

Smallville made Clark kent far more relatable... superman is honestly better as a TV show cause it can focus on the Man, I don't really care about the movies but the TV shows 🤌
What I learned from Spidey is the sense of responsibility, kindness and justice and just doing any kind of kind work is what makes us what we are and what we are unleashing, a hero in all of us
Spider-Man is a more focussed version of what Captain Marvel (Shazam) was written to be Just like how the Raimi Trilogy is a more focussed version of the first three Christopher Reeve Superman films - first film is the origin story where the character learns of his responsibility - the second film is an extension of the first where the character has been given the choice to be normal and he does however must give up the thing they want the most - the third film the character fights their inner darkness to rise above (there’s a lot of rubbish in Superman 3 however the only good thing in that film is the junk yard fight)
The reason why Spider-Man works is because he's the first superhero whom everyone can truly relate to. The hero who starts out as nothing more than a teenager who's ignored by everyone around him, just like most kids everywhere. And then through a series of unfortunate events, he chooses to put on a mask and fight for what's right while learning what it means to be a hero along the way, just like how people learn how to be better as we grow up.
- He looks cool - He has cool powers and fighting techniques - He has great villains - He is relatable All in all one of the few super heroes where the alter ego is equally important as the hero
I've seen so many people of late trying to nitpick flaws in the character, that this video was honestly really refreshing to me. Spider-Man is my favourite hero, no doubt about it, he's simultaneously identifiable and inspirational in a way most Superheroes don't even approach. I feel like my life was very much changed by reading his comics, they got me through some pretty rough times over the years.
Just remember guys, if someone says to you that Spider-Man can't do what he's supposed to do just because "hE's A kId In A wOrLd FuLl Of EsTaBlIsHeD sUpErHeRoEs" then that person doesn't get Spider-Man AT ALL.
If you're trying to insult MCU Spidey, then try harder. He CAN do what he's supposed to do. And he DOES that. And he IS a kid in a world full of established superheroes. If you don't see it, then you have no common sense.
@@Spidey-oi5sn You have no point. MCU Spider-Man is still Spider-Man. And a great one. Even though you hate him for no reason. And I read comics. Both Amazing and Ultimate.

What I also loved about Peter’s character is that he wasn’t a good kid in the original comics. Yes he loved uncle ben and aunt may but he hated the rest of the world. He was a bullied kid who wanted to be a bully. He wasn’t pure hearted or destined by ancient entities because he was pure, but because he was just a random kid who got randomly bitten by a spider. And you after getting the powers and after uncle ben passed, his slight anger is still there and he is still developing as a character. Spider-Man can really be anyone, even if it’s a troubled kid.
He's always been my hero, since my childhood. And he's more relatable than all other characters and he's complicated and struggles with choices like a real person. So, just saw No Way Home and it was perfect. I cried. A lot. ❤️😭
One thing I love about Spidey is his sense of humor. His jokes crack me up every time! I was never much of a fan of Spidey or Peter when I was younger. I mostly liked batman better. But for the last year or 2 I've been obsessed with Spidey!
Spidey will always be relatable in any age. I mean as a child his costume his powers are what interests kids. Then as a teenager you relate to yourself more and more time progresses. As an adult you feel then nostalgic and happiness when you see the webslinger one more time on the big screen. After No Way Home i realized spidey is the ultimate hero. Despite all his powers and intellectual his crime fighting business will remain.
Peter is the everyman. Friendly neighborhood Spiderman, looking out for the little guy while being a little guy himself. His naïveté is endearing, his drive is admirable, his ideals are rock solid. He could be anyone underneath that full bodysuit. Not only physically, but as a person as well. Sure, he has powers, but the most important part of him, the Peter Parker side, is absolutely attainable.

People tend to forget that in the comics he tried to join the fantastic four in amazing Spider-Man #1 and it was Johnny storm who inspired him to Continue fighting after he lost for the first time in a fight ever against doc ock. And saying that being Spider-Man causes Peter only pain is also incorrect because in the iconic issue 50 of lee’s run in that story, after having a bad day as being both Peter and spidey he hears jameson at the worst time and he overthinks into believing what Jonah is saying is right so temporarily hangs up his suit. The thing is that unlike Spider-Man 2 his Peter life doesn’t suddenly become better. He finds out that everyone was ok and him being there didn’t change their lives that much but with Spider-Man gone crime increased and Wilson Fisk makes his first appearance ever and tries to take control of New York’s underworld, after Peter relies that he was only overwhelmed with emotion at the moment he gave up being Spider-Man and remembers his uncle(at this time uncle Ben never said with great power there must also comes great Responsibility) reignited his Spirit To be a hero again.

His rogues gallery definitely feels more human than Batman's. With Batman, most need him to prove something or enjoy toying with him to the point where their obsession makes them less human or understandable. Spiderman's rogues have their own lives and most outside of Norman Osborn aren't going to lose much sleep if he dies, a little annoyed they didn't get to kill him, but they don't revolve around him and often crossover and cause trouble in other titles. I don't know if Batman's rogues outside of the big names really pop up outside the Bat Family but it's not uncommon for Spiderman's rogues to randomly appear in something like a Captain America or a Daredevil cover (Carnage even crossed over with Nova and Doc Ock with Hulk). Really adds weight when he feels responsible for them because, in universe, they tend to cause the most trouble.
Spider-Man rogues have powers and are weirdo scientist Batman villains are tragic figures who parrallel Bruce in some way it’s why Batman villians are house hold names and not Spider-Mans
Spider-Man is the best and will always be my favorite: I do like other heroes, but if Spider-Man isn't in it I usually won't watch it. Spider-Man has taken a backseat in years, but Spider-Man is truthfully the most underrated character in Marvel.
He definetely isn't the most underrated character in Marvel or underrated in general. His merchandise sales for example is still the highest compared to Batman, Superman or even Avengers.

I like how his rogues gallery are adults but they chose the Peter Pan way and become a villain while Peter (a kid) became an adult and chose the heroic way
He’s been my hero since before I can remember… over the last 22 years, that’s one thing that has never changed; I hope artist and writers keep giving the character the love Spidey deserves
I've thought about it for a while and my reason why he's so good is that he's the perfect mix of inspiration and relatability. He's a man who strives but struggles to be good and inspire others. "With great power comes great responsibility" has a surprising amount of depth to its meaning.
Spiderman is arguably the only character and reason why I haven't left completely abandoned marvel for manga in this very political age. I adore this character way to much lol.
Spider-Man is the best superhero. Superman needs a limit to how little power he can use; his moral obligation makes him do it. Batman needs a limit to how much pain he can use; his moral code stops him from doing it. Spider-Man does both. We know Spider-Man is overpowered can easily defeat all his villains. But we also know he had moments where he simply doesn’t want to or has ever reason to not defeat villains. So he is perfectly in the middle. His worldview? Take up responsibility. Because criminals don’t, but they can. His playful nature shows how he extends a healing hand to his villains with the optimism that they can be better. And yet, he has police radios to seek out danger because he knows there’s always a threat. (Superman calls it the unending battle). Perfect hero
You echo Captain Midnight’s sentiment on the Green Goblin and how he could fit into the MCU. I’d love to see this sort of inverted Tony Stark who sort of rattles Peter’s foundation
Spidey 2 remains to this day my All-Time Fave comic film. It feels the most inspiring of all comic films in a subtle way that's not bombastically triumphant but more the rise of the spirit from a low point

He even told me I’d be a bad teacher because I’d just show students Spider-Man movies (Tobey Maguire ones). and keep in mind his favorite heroes are Deadpool, Hawkeye, Scarlet Witch, Captain America, Antman, Falcon, and Punisher (who he knows nothing about besides his cool weapons)
@@SacredPDK Who cares about the actor or how old he is? What really matters is that the Peter Parker of the original trilogy is actually a really good spider man and an even better Peter Parker which is the reason why those films are memorable. The spider man movies of the MCU are nothing more than a souless comedy that has nothing to do with what spider man really is, everything that happens is turned into a joke, there is ZERO character development, aunt May is an absoulte joke that doesn't even care about Peter risking his life everyday and Ben Parker is not even mentioned.
I agree with almost everything you said in this video, but where I disagree comes when you say that the MCU Spidey movies has Peter use the other heroes "as a crutch." The entire point of the story in those movies is that Peter doesn't need the other heroes, and he doesn't need to be like them. In Homecoming, Peter is constantly trying to impress Tony Stark, to prove that he's "worthy," in a sense. But it's only when Tony loses faith in Peter, and Peter is forced to act on his own and be his own hero that he's able to stop The Vulture. He doesn't need Tony to do this, he does it completely on his own. Likewise, in Far From Home, the entire point of the movie is that Peter doesn't need to be exactly like Tony. Sure, there are parallels between him and Tony, but everyone who disses the movie likes to ignore the conversation Peter has with Happy on the plane. He's lost everything trying to be the hero that the world wants him to be, messed up so badly he feels he can never live up to Tony's legacy, but through this conversation with Happy, he learns that he doesn't need to live up to Tony. This is the opposite of "using other heroes as a crutch." This is just an extended version of Spidey's origin story, as he learns what he needs to be as a hero, and struggles with his own problems along the way. And in a world where all these other heroes already existed, why wouldn't they be a part of his origin? Hell, the second issue of the original Spider-Man comic has him trying to join the Fantastic Four. The presence of these other heroes in his movies, though they do assist Peter from time to time, ultimately help Peter to become his own hero in the end, and at the end of these movies, he's the one who saves the day, without any help from other heroes.
Spider-Man has been my favorite super hero since childhood. His life as a teenager and a super hero is really interesting and someone that I can relate to. He is so awesome and he’s my favorite super hero in Marvel.
Characters that have a paradoxical nature always come off good. When Spidey wins, he really loses. Batman and Joker mirror eachother but with the elements of control and insanity, list goes on.
Hey @SUPER FRAME glad to see you back at it again. I’ve started my RUclips channel alongside my friends and it’s going good so far. Thank you for giving me the confidence to start. I’m truly thankful.
So this was a good video for sure! But for the the record, Spider-Man graduated high school in the 28th issue of Amazing. It's only in these new movies and Spectacular that he's like 15 years old. Well, and the Ultimate universe.
When you think of Marvel, Overall you think of crazy superheroes with these crazy powers. Things like flight, invisibility, electricity, superhuman strength. Spidey literally is just like you but he just has some more low key powers. Climbing on walls is cool, but in a world where people are flying and entering different dimensions then it’s more simple. He is the most realistic marvel character. He has a good heart but he is broke, lost his parents, basically got his Uncle killed due to his neglectful attitude. His story and life is even more interesting than his Spider-Man Life. He lost so much and learns from how mistakes and decided to use his powers for hood, making himself a hero instead of being forced to be one from family or friends, he made that decision even through all the injuries and loss. He is an idol to the average nobody and that’s what makes him special, he never credits himself and always is there to help others out even if it costs him something. He is a teenager but goes through something even people who throw their lives on the line like cops and firefighters would have nightmares over, and he does it daily. He can make his life amazing by fighting back against bullies and telling people who beat down on him why he is always late and isn’t there for them. His costume was man-made and so was his legacy. When we think of Marvel, we think of SPIDER-MAN. He is someone we can see anyone becoming, the average nobody with great power but using them in the best ways possible. Miles is just as cool in my opinion, as a young black male I end up looking up to him, his amazing costume, his awesome powers, what he stands for, who he represents, and how he is an amazing Spider-Man to take over the mantle.
The thing that makes Spider-Man so good is the fact that he doesn’t always win and get a happy ending, for Spider-Man to win, Peter Parker has to lose. For example in Andrews universe, he beat the electro and harry but what did it cost? Gwen. In Toms universe, he managed to cure every single villain along side tobey and andrew but what did it cost? Him losing absolutely everything. Which is why its so successful, his powers are so powerful and unique and hes such a great kid with good intentions but life at this point is basically torturing him at a young age yet he still continues to do the right thing
Spider-Man is and always will be my favorite superhero, he's a man who is determined to do what is right and even if he receives no praise for it he still will keep getting up no matter the obstacle in his way because with Great Power, there must also come Great Responsibility.
@T. rex King As I Spider-Man fan, it’s been frustrating the people I have had to deal with in the real world. So I know tthis “Marvel” (more like Huge MCU fan) in the real world he doesn’t really like Spider-Man and said that Spider-Man is weak and not that great and important of a hero and weaker than Captain America and can barely last in a city compared to Cap, and when he watched Captain America Civil War, he said Spider-Man sucked during the civil war airport fight and was so bad (I told that person that Spidey only had 6 months of experience and that person said that they did not care and STILL expected way more from him). I even told him how he was whooping Falcon (who he says is badass) and Winter Solider’s ass and he resorted to saying “Yeah Well He’s Very Annoying” and doesn’t get the concept of how Spidey cracks jokes to annoy his enemies and defends Deadpool and said Deadpool was funny and not annoying and when I had to explain to him why Spidey cracks jokes, he said he “never saw it in that way”. He said he was not excited for the new Spider-Man Mocies (Back when “Homecoming” was in production) because his movies “aren’t that good” (This is all long before Homecoming went into production ). How can you be a Marvel fan and not acknowledge Spider-Man’s importance to Marvel? He’s Stan Lee’s favorite character. @@t.rexking441 bullshit. Spidey averagely lifts more than 10 tons, and has occasionally lifted more than 20 times that. He's lifted skyscrapers, tore buildings in half underwater, held up a huge building underwater, throws cars, trucks, and buses easily. He's staggered Hulk and Thanos with one punch, torn Iron Man's armor apart, he's moved while Thor and Hulk held him firmly. Stop spreading misinformation (you saying he can lift ten tons).
@@spider-man8112 Sorry, what I meant was he is capable of lifting at least that much, not that it's his limit. Sorry if I came across as trying to spread misinformation, that is never my intention. I know that Spidey is actually really strong, considering how he singlehandedly defeated several the X-men, and like you said, even Thor and the Hulk commented on his strength when they attempted to hold him down.
It would be so easy to have an amazing life if he abused his powers. The fact he never does (unless influenced by venom) and struggles in his everyday life is the most noble thing in all of comics (my opinion). Not to mention he is the most relatable character ever created.
Not the strongest one, not the one that can kill anyone in one shot, but he sure can steal someone's heart in one shot. Great movies, series, and character. AMD DEVELOPMENT! Truly great.
I love this video because I can say without a shadow of a doubt Spider-Man is my absolute favourite hero. Especially the fact that with his Rogues Gallery is so diverse and he doesn't always fight the same way.
I also love how he’s a reactionary character in the marvel universe and the MCU does this pretty good in the Spider-Man movies because we see the MCU through a bunch of high schoolers eyes no one gets that he’s best when he has a universe to react to not by himself like the rami and Webb films I’m fine with not seeing another green goblin we’ve had 3 of them in two Spider-Man series give him some space away maybe do a mcu green goblin in a college trilogy but we might get him in no way home if leaks are to believed
Ultimate Spider-Man has a pretty good end for the character. Of course they’ll never kill the main universe spider man permanently, but there are quite a few alternate universe stories that give him a pretty good send off.
wish i could like this video twice, my late father bought me a spider man comic to try encourage me to read more in the 80s and i was hooked til now, peters struggles to do the right thing and be a man his uncle would be proud of still resonates with me
Spider Man will always be my favourite superhero. He is the enhancement and influence of taken responsibility of doing what's he has to take care of his loved ones.
Spiderman's always been my favorite marvel superhero since I was a kid (probably my favorite superhero in general) and while before it was because of how much I liked his powers and personality, nowadays it's a combination of that and just how deep his character is and how relatable he is.
Always been my favourite superhero. It's because he's human first and superhero second. The Peter Parker side is just as much fun to watch as Spider-Man, and the costume design is basically flawless. You can lift it right off the page and it works in any adaptation. Most superheroes are the reverse of this, and have far too many translation issues in making them work in other media without losing certain elements. Stan Lee really hit a home run with his deconstructive attitude towards superheroes and just did what nobody else was doing when it came to these characters. He cracked the code. Add on top of that a rogues gallery second only to perhaps Batman, and you have one hell of a compelling comic book character.
He’s always been my favorite. He’s fundamentally good, but unlike Steve Rogers he questions himself, he struggles to be good-he’s not just assumed to be right.
I agree but I don’t think he struggles being good Spider-Man is good in heart he is a hero but he more struggles is being Peter and Spider-Man
@@ashcraft257 I get what you mean and that’s definitely the main thing-but to clarify what I meant is that being so human he can be selfish, scared or angry sometimes, and he has to deal with the consequences of that.

yeah me to he's may only favorite marvel character
Because that's what a hero does, that's what it means to be Spider-Man
@@ThePatxiao And that's why he's the best superhero he saves lives because it's the best thing to do not for popularity

No. No he can't. And yet, you'll always see him on the front line of people taking on cosmic threats and malevolent gods. The same way you'll see him on the front lines of saving people from bank robbers or fulfilling Make-a-Wish Foundation requests. Don't get me wrong, he's not perfect.

Spiderman will ALWAYS be my favorite superhero of all time
I always debate with myself who is the best Superhero of all time, between Batman and Spiderman.
At first spidey did use his power for selfish gain but then learned that ‘with great power becomes great responsibility’ as we all know

*You can relate to him.*
To me, even more than Shazam or Nightwing, Spider-Man is the pinnacle of superheroes.
@Malcom Johnson So I know tthis “Marvel” (more like Huge MCU fan) in the real world he doesn’t really like Spider-Man and said that Spider-Man is weak and not that great and important of a hero and weaker than Captain America and can barely last in a city compared to Cap, and when he watched Captain America Civil War, he said Spider-Man sucked during the civil war airport fight and was so bad (I told that person that Spidey only had 6 months of experience and that person said that they did not care and STILL expected way more from him). When I told this guy about the Civil War trailer, and told him to guess the big surprise that happens, he thought Hulk was gonna show up and when Spidey showed up, he was like “Cool I guess”. I really should’ve told his friends because they would’ve shut him up and give him proper treatment as this dude apparently spread stuff about me and got away with being quiet about these things . He’s also a big PS4 person, so I hope he saw the reception and sales for that game through his ass-noculars.

Spider-Man has ALWAYS been my favorite.
He was it then, he is it to this day.
What I learned from Spidey is the sense of responsibility, kindness and justice and just doing any kind of kind work is what makes us what we are and what we are unleashing, a hero in all of us
Spider-Man is a more focussed version of what Captain Marvel (Shazam) was written to be
Just like how the Raimi Trilogy is a more focussed version of the first three Christopher Reeve Superman films
- first film is the origin story where the character learns of his responsibility
- the second film is an extension of the first where the character has been given the choice to be normal and he does however must give up the thing they want the most
- the third film the character fights their inner darkness to rise above (there’s a lot of rubbish in Superman 3 however the only good thing in that film is the junk yard fight)
- He looks cool
- He has cool powers and fighting techniques
- He has great villains
- He is relatable
All in all one of the few super heroes where the alter ego is equally important as the hero
and his powers are not too overpowered
Hes the goat him and batman are in their own tear of greatness
I've seen so many people of late trying to nitpick flaws in the character, that this video was honestly really refreshing to me. Spider-Man is my favourite hero, no doubt about it, he's simultaneously identifiable and inspirational in a way most Superheroes don't even approach. I feel like my life was very much changed by reading his comics, they got me through some pretty rough times over the years.
Just remember guys, if someone says to you that Spider-Man can't do what he's supposed to do just because

@@dasik84 but that's exactly what i was saying, so thank you for proving my point LMAO XD
@@Spidey-oi5sn You have no point.
MCU Spider-Man is still Spider-Man. And a great one. Even though you hate him for no reason. And I read comics. Both Amazing and Ultimate.
Thank god, someone finally appreciates peter like this. I mean, spiderman is the epitome of being a superhero. He's the best version of both batman and superman combined and nothing's greater than that combination. I hated it when people ignored him just based on those stupid mcu movies.
Watching this with teary eyes really cemented how much this character means to me

Factss
Man, this video was a wild ride, especially post no way home.
This is exactly why Spider-Man is one of my favorite superheroes and always will be.

@@stefano9047 he isn’t iron boy jr. he’s Spider-Man.

For me, the greatest comic book character, and not only that, top 3 greatest characters EVER
That was very well put. Couldn't have said it better myself
When you can gain respect from Heroes, Villains, gods and even Superman you’re definitely up there as one of the greatest heroes.
I think the MCU are making Peter rely on others for help but when he needs it most in his solo film. He won’t have any
The thing that makes Spider-Man so good is the fact that he doesn’t always win and get a happy ending, for Spider-Man to win, Peter Parker has to lose.
Just came back from No way home! Tom’s spidey has finally truly become spider-man!

Not the strongest one, not the one that can kill anyone in one shot, but he sure can steal someone's heart in one shot. Great movies, series, and character. AMD DEVELOPMENT! Truly great.
Spiderman has been my favorite since I was a kid he's the best superhero
I love this video because I can say without a shadow of a doubt Spider-Man is my absolute favourite hero. Especially the fact that with his Rogues Gallery is so diverse and he doesn't always fight the same way.
Sams movies definitely hold up for Spiderman! If you’re talking about realistic dialogue and character writing 💙
I loved the charecter so much since my childhood 🙏My love for the charecter is unparalleled by anything else
I also love how he’s a reactionary character in the marvel universe and the MCU does this pretty good in the Spider-Man movies because we see the MCU through a bunch of high schoolers eyes no one gets that he’s best when he has a universe to react to not by himself like the rami and Webb films
I’m fine with not seeing another green goblin we’ve had 3 of them in two Spider-Man series give him some space away maybe do a mcu green goblin in a college trilogy but we might get him in no way home if leaks are to believed
Into the Spider-Verse, in my opinion, captures the essence of Spider-Man and is my favourite Spidey movie.
No. That's a bastardize Spider-Man Story that tried to replace Spider-Man.
Too bad that he will never get a good ending. His story keep on changing or rewriting due to money and Disney never end it.
He will die one day in the MCU, nothing last forever.

Do you know how much money spiderman make for Disney? That will never happened.
Ultimate Spider-Man has a pretty good end for the character. Of course they’ll never kill the main universe spider man permanently, but there are quite a few alternate universe stories that give him a pretty good send off.
@@hiitsalex6780 Did you know how much Iron Man made for Disney? Yeah he’s dead now. So will Spider-Man one day.

Their sharing the characters with Sony. Disney pay tons of money to get the rights, they not Killing him. Ever...
wish i could like this video twice, my late father bought me a spider man comic to try encourage me to read more in the 80s and i was hooked til now, peters struggles to do the right thing and be a man his uncle would be proud of still resonates with me
My condolences for your father.
@@criticaldrive7688 thank, I appreciate it bro
There really should be an MCU original Green Goblin.
Spider Man will always be my favourite superhero. He is the enhancement and influence of taken responsibility of doing what's he has to take care of his loved ones.
I think spiderman, batman and superman are the best heros bc
Superman = Hero
Batman = Human
Spiderman = Mixture of both
Spiderman's always been my favorite marvel superhero since I was a kid (probably my favorite superhero in general) and while before it was because of how much I liked his powers and personality, nowadays it's a combination of that and just how deep his character is and how relatable he is.
