What do you guys think of the Lenovo Slim 7 Pro X?
It's great! Now review the galaxy book2 pro 360
No stickers at all?
Thin and light 14 inch laptop that can play some esports title with ease? And most likely cheaper than competitors? Sign me up.
the non-centered trackpad bothers me a lot
otherwise its a killer machine
I like it
I never knew I could just change the performance profiles with FN + Q, nice. This Slim Pro X looks dope though and the roundedness (?) of the body looks quite comfortable so far. I look forward to the performance and especially the battery-life metrics from the full review.
wow this is checking all my boxes! Looking forward to the full review!
Stellar review, thanks for the info! I like the attention to detail eg. the u-shaped buttons making it comfortable to rest your fingers.
I am waiting for the full review! Hope you do it !
High refresh rate, AMD CPU for better battery life, discrete GPU for esports games, a 16:10 mid-sized screen, a fantastic keyboard/trackpad, and great portability. This might be the one!
The AMD/32gb/1tb/3050 version is on sale at Costco right now for $1,299. Just picked it up!
@@OneEightNate I see the deal, and I'm wondering whether I should get it. Could you tell me how it is to use? thanks!
@@OneEightNate I just got the same deal just now! :D
FAN NOISE! If it has silent fans doing light tasks, I'm sold.
this are the devices im waiting for
gorgeous laptops, lightweight and powerful enough to work and play some games on it
I like it, would have been in my options list but already bought a laptop that I'm happy with. Also do the set up! Love seeing laptop set ups. Esp since I'm trying to create my own next, and hope to get ideas from these.
@FY GAMES&APPS Needed a laptop, and couldn't wait for anything better so I just went with the Asus Zenbook 14x OLED Space Edition. (I wanted the i7 for a more reasonable price but it took too long to come out, and if I ever need a dedicated gpu I could always buy an EGPU but I don't need one for my use case. I mostly bought it because it looked cool, nice, and still has a powerful cpu in it.)
Almost perfect. The lack of ports kills it for me though
THIS LITERALLY CHECKS ALL THE BOXES FOR ME!!!!!
I have the 2021 Lenovo Yoga Slim 7 and it's a very capable device for the price. And with this one they make a perfect laptop even better
I have one too, but it is too hot when in intense use
@@theprince5575 If you keep the vents clear it should not heat up that much
For those of you who own a Yoga Slim 7 Pro, how do you find the rubber on the bottom? When you use it on your laps does the long rubber presses to much on your tights?
I'm waiting for your full review of this laptop before I can decide if I'm going to buy it.
On your review, I hope you can add the actual vs marketed battery life and thermals. Will be waiting for your full review!
different power modes and their effect on the battery and the Performance...waiting for the review
If the price in EU is not much higher (which is usually the case) I probably buy this one. I dislike the newer keyboards and trackpads on lenovo yoga series; is this one an "improvement" to last year? Their thinkpad line had the best keyboards but the yoga series fell quite short in this category.
Let's face it, it is always gonna be AMD if you need high performance in a such a Thin & Light laptop like this, which doesn't overheat or throttle crazily and gives super battery life. Acer Swift X, Lenovo Slim 7 Carbon, Asus Zenbook and VivoBook Pro 14/14x are perfect example. Now they are so efficient that most of these laptops are packing H or HS series processors directly, completely omitting U series. Didn't see a single Intel based 14 or 13 inch laptop packing a 11th or 12th gen H series processor. I do have VivoBook 14x with a 5900HX and RTX 3050 Ti 50W with a beautiful 2.8K OLED 90Hz display and a small 62 WHr battery. The thing is it goes 8 hours or even more for normal usage with such a hardware inside it. In performance, it does beat the XPS 15 with its 3050 ti configuration.
The flow x13 is a 13 inch tablet with intel
@@briangudiel9558 it's neither thin nor light for a tablet and a very niche product targeted towards very specific audience. How many Ultrabooks you've seen coming with liquid metal and vapor chamber cooling? Abd don't forget about the battery life.
@@123Suryasis wdyt about xps 13 plus?
@@vzx13 Hope you're not joking here. That does not have a H series Intel 12th Gen. May be a bit fact check will help.
@Bzake Costs 50% more then this
Thanks for the video. Do you know whether there will be a 16 inch version?
Do a full desk setup with all Lenovo stuff.
Looks and feels minimalistic
Looks really cool! Will one be able to get this without a dGPU though? :) Would be a really nice workmachine that way!
That name banner in the backdrop looks epic! Would you mind letting me know where you got it?
Can you turn off the dgpu to save battery life?
Hi, can you recommend hdmi gadget that would be good to use with this laptop, since it doesn’t have hdmi port?
Desk setup is good idea
when you do the full review could you throw in the acer swift x with the rtx 3050 as a comparison benchmark?
Would love to see a desk setup
The i5 version with 90hz display is pretty cheap and affordable, and also does the work! 👍🏻
How is this version called?
@@bluestocking1870 the way it is said! I'm afraid I could not understand what you meant.
Any idea when this will be released?
Yoga series , ThinkPad and thinkbook are very good from Lenovo . I had IdeaPad it is quite keyboard are awesome.
How does this compare with the XPS 15? Seems like a direct competitor, would love to see a comparison video!
Agreed this seems like a super targeted "xps killer" sku. About time dell had some competition!
In the US, YOGA series are convertibles.
RDNA2 igpu will be pretty good for games too.
Does USB4 is implemented in this laptop USB Type C ports?
This would be good for 3D rendering in architecture?
Is this laptop available without a dpgu, It's seems implied that it's is on notebook check but I haven't been able to find confirmation.
What can I say ? Ahhhhh 🤧 SEO 🤷♂️😂 that video is perfect as all the videos you make❤️
The lack of ports is unfortunate, i.e. no HDMI, no card slot. Carrying around dongles is undesirable. Deal breaker for me personally, otherwise it's a cool laptop.
the intel version has tb4 support on both usb c ports, and an HDMI port instead of that other usb-a on the left side, next to the usb c ports
All I need is an audio jack
There are two 16" version of this laptop with all the ports. Same name, same specs.
I’m waiting on the thinkpad z series which has a card slot I believe. Lack of HDMI isn’t really that big of a deal imo. U have usbc that can cover that issue but lack of sd card slot is a bummer in any case
I got the 7i Intel version for 1360$ after taxes - 12700H, RTX 3050, 32GB LPDDR5, 1TB PCIe Gen 4 SSD, HDMI 2.0 port, 2 TB4 ports.
The only thing I don't like is it comes with a whitish color (ultimate grey) unlike the AMD version (onyx grey). But I can live with that. Also, the battery life might suffer because of the Intel chip inside.
Lenovo new slim 7i or 9i vs. Thinkpad Z13 vs. Dell XPS 13 9320....which one you prefer?
0:45 "has this beautiful 6000 series aluminium chassis"😂😂
The design reminds me a lot of my old HTC One M8. I like having dual front face speakers and a metal chassis. Anybody know if theres a gaming laptop with those features? like preferably with a 3060.
usbc upgradeable to usb 4.0? is it chargeable with usbc port?
I'm considering this or the new vivobook pro 15x k6501. Any thoughts?
Looks promising! Just need the price...
How would this compare to 15.6" Galaxy Book2 pro Intel Arc GPU (A350M?) for light 3d work in CAD and modeling and all day web, office, pdf processing?
How's the fan noise? Some reviewers complained about it but as far as I know the Intel version is worse.
Do we have word on the new line of legion slim 7 2022 yet? Is it to be announced with the normal 7 on the 13th? With all these great improvements on the non legions I’m sure the actual slim legion will be sick also.
So darn close to what I'm looking for. A Ryzen powered, 120hz, tenkeyless laptop with a decent keyboard, discrete graphics and lightweight.
If only this were 4k and 16inches and just as lightweight. Why 4k? To use it at 2x scale so you're effectively getting 1080p screenspace but with much higher pixel density. Could even game on this by dropping the resolution to half: 1080p (or .5 resolution scale for modern games)
I'm "loyal" to the thinkpad family but this also seems to be a pretty nice laptop.
So u loyal or hoeyal
How is this compared to the 2022 dell xps 15?
I've been using this laptop for 3 months now and it's awesome. I got it for $700 and it's been discontinued actually. The best part is the display! However, with the amazing display, comes terrible battery life. I literally get maybe 4 hours on balanced mode. If I tweak the setting for battery, and turn the hz down to 60hz, it actually lasts about 10 hours.
for video editing, is 32 go ram more important than a strong gpu or the reverse ? and what about the cpu ?
Can this laptop get charged with a 67 w usb c phone charger ?
Why do you want to charge your laptop with your phone charger and the answer may be no as in specification you will see it will either 110v or 220v
Gloss or matt screen?
That is an awesome rack focus.
does it support hdr on youtube and netflix
3:10 why did you say that it supports studio drivers? Every nvidia gpu supports studio drivers you can swap it anytime.
CAN A DOUBLE SIDED NVME FIT INSIDE? SABRENT 4TB WOULD BE SLICK!
I'm starting to learn 3d game development and programming and I'll be going to college pretty soon. I also do photo editing. Does this seem like it would work for me? I've researched a lot of laptops and this one has all of the features and at least decent specs
How's the battery life? RTX3050 with 3k 120hz display sounds power hungry.
When is the release date?
does the AMD version supports USB4?
Needs an OLED screen like the ASUS models.
What is the wattage of the RTX 3050? Do tell as I am seriously considering this laptop
50 watt according to the pcworld video
Should a lightweight gamer + developer get this or the lenovo 7 pro 2022 version? This is really light though
haha i have same wondering... i thought i will get new acer swift x, but lenovo will should have much better display..
I can't find it available anywhere
Does it have mux Switch and the IO
I bought Lenovo slim 7 pro x laptop last week. But I am not satisfied with the battery life. Does anyone know the battery life after charging to 100%?
I'd like a 16" 16:10 version with a num pad. Basically I want an AMD + Nvidia version of the 2022 16" swift X.
Ideapad 5 Pro, Yoga Slim 7 Pro (non x) both have 5800h, 1650/3050, 2550x1600 16" displays and you can get them for about ~1200usd
@@lukeang5615 5 Pro is discontinued
There is a slim 7 pro 16
@@Alt-sy3lf not available anywhere
I have a request when you do a full review of this laptop.....can you do a realistic battery life test. Many reviewers do the standard 50% brightness with looped video until the battery runs low test. That is NOT a realistic test and tells me nothing about the battery life that I might expect to see in the real world. It's like providing me with a MPG test for a car when driven at 15mph....
At minimum how about setting the screen brightness to a minimum of 80% and running that looped battery test. But far better do a test that shows battery life in a mixed use scenario (not looped video). Certainly someone has created a mixed use battery life test??? Even if you run this mixed use battery test over X hours and then extrapolate the overall battery usage levels. Or alternatively (or in addition to the meaningless video loop battery tests) I'd settle for qualitative information based on actual usage. (e.g., say 3 hours (mixed use) and then extrapolate battery life from that). Thanks.
If only the 3050 didn't have so very little vram I'd get one
Pls make a video about this laptop AMD vs Intel variant
I wish they'd gone with another USB-C port on the right instead of a second USB-A port, I have no use for USB-A.
2:31
I think it is TÜV Rheinland
Yup! I just said TUV for short.
2:05 about the screen your writing contains many parts that unrelated to screen color (gsync aspect ratio, better eye reading, etc.), the only that matter is the resolution and color coverage. The color coverage looks... normal and average I think?
It's a shame that they don't have a Matte screen option (note on the intel equivalent version...Slim 7i Pro X has a matte display option and a HDMI port). I don't need any more mirrors (aka glossy reflective screens) in my house. It's annoying to have to constantly adjust the screen angle to avoid reflecting a light source. Give us 1 screen option that is Matte and I'd consider purchasing it...otherwise is a BIG NO for me. If you've never used a Matte display on a laptop you don't know what you are missing. There is a reason why all large standalone monitors are matte displays.
Hi, I don't understand, is it exist a matte version of this computer ? From Lenovo website, I saw anti-reflexion, no-tactile, glass. So it's a not a real matte screen. For the Yoga Slim 7i Pro X 14 (intel version) I can see no-reflexion,no-tactile but no mention of 'glass', is it a real matte screen ? :)
1.45 kg is not super light anymore. It's quite heavy for super-light term.
Seems like Lenovo's consumer line is outpacing their Thinkpad line. I think this laptop looks amazing! If only it had the trackpoint (which I adore) and thinkpad branding.
Now that you've mentioned it, that's a definite con. It's a nice feature for typing!
Search for Thinkpad Z series
I want to see 16" yoga 7
Anyone tried to 4k video editing with this one yet? How is it doing well?
This or the Asus G14...as a creator laptop?
Hey Matthew, It would be nice if you make a video on “The first few things you should do while getting a windows Laptop! “ (Software/ utility, as well setup.) would really if you made a video on this .
Near perfect laptop! Just ordered this with i7 12700H 32GB ram 1TB SSD, on sale for $1,210. Feels like I stole it! Lenovo is KILLING IT!
Just wish it was an actual Yoga with 360 degree hinge. Oh well, still amazing for a too good to be true price.
2000$ in EU
To anyone who already owns a slim 7 pro X (14" amd) , how long does the battery really last ?
7-8 hours with general use.
Please do the new ThinkPad carbon
Great small performance device. But keep in mind it's NOT a gaming laptop. So if you guys really want that performance just get a gaming laptop. Stop crying about how this thing has all the power but cannot game as great as x gaming laptop. The Yoga series is more of a portable business or creator device. You can game on it but don't expect miracles.
Well said!
@Gerardo Gonzalez yes. But that doesn't change the fact that this laptop is not for gaming. Mostly business to creators to an extent.
Yep it's mouthful
How do you think this compares to the dell xps 15?
more ports, for starters. oh wait...even Apple has more ports now than XPS range. pity, 'cos they're really slick looking...but form over function isn't my bag...why can't we have both...ha ha? 👊🏻🇿🇦
@Gerardo Gonzalez jesus crist stop spamming this comment everywhere. is this your first day on youtube?
Please reveiw the tuf a15 from asus
But does it come in pink!?
Why does Lenovo make everything sRGB? No DCI P3 love
edit windows boot options for windows 7 close
AMD? Intel? how to choose
it looks nice.
Hey guys, I just bought this laptop, but the Touchscreen isnt working, can somebod help me? Where do I activate it?
May be from setting
What’s the screen’s gtg response time?
ROG Flow X13 (2022) and Z13 seemed amazing at first, then I found out it had a 25ms gtg response time, ghosting galore.
Looks pretty good but so annoying they solder the ram on these laptops.
I just saw one at Costco with the same spec at $1599. Is it a good deal though?
$1,300 next week
@@thomas8734 đang. Definitely I'll have my eyes on it
@@SangTran-ow1xv mua đi bạn ơi, ok lắm, mới mua ở Costco.
does this come with a oled display ?
Nope
It seems kinda dumb for Lenovo to go out of their way to put the hardware webcam kill switch, but then choose to omit a fingerprint sensor in favour of facial recognition.... Does anyone else agree or is it just me??
