Let's see your thoughts on all-new next-gen Sequoia...likes, dislikes, what one did you like best and why? Thanks!
Like that they didn't save some features for the refresh like they did with rav4. Got a 2020 xse hybrid, and no memory seats, cooled seats etc. 2022 xse prime has it all. Overall beautiful truck
We love it Jeff btw good video as usual!
but we would really appreciate if a video is done the platinum trim as that’s what we are after. 🍻
They destroyed the cargo loading with those rear Captain's chairs and hump. And getting rid of the rear sliding window was a huge mistake! It's one of THE reasons we just bought a new 4Runner.
Jeff and the comments are great.
I have 2021 toyota highlander platinum for wife, thought about getting something for me. I need to check out the 4runner based on everyone's comment
That TRD pro in white is flat out the sexiest vehicle Toyota has ever designed. Maybe someday I’ll get one, but I just ordered a 4Runner for the tried and true reliability.
same!
Can’t go wrong with a 4Runner
Never seen a 4th gen Supra?
The Capstone having an air ride, HUD, very luxurious leather, and Power running boards make it better for me. The black accents on the Pro to me look way nicer. Disappointed the TRD Pro doesn’t offer the other options for an upgrade fee. Hate to say it, but I’d want the capstone, then would pay to have everything chrome deleted. Chrome, ugh
Completely agree!
Yea right after seeing this video you 1000% correct. Capstone kills it, the running boards, HUD, Rims, and Pano did it for me. just delete the Chrome, and it would kinda sorta be nice to maybe get That Toyota Raptor style grill on the Capstone (Just a thought, makes it look super badass with tht grill)
Thanks, Jeff!!! Love the review as always and yaaaassss I’m drooling!!! This is the new relationship goal!
I’m actually interested in the 2023 Sequoia TRD Pro. Thank you for showing the interior space.
Totally blew it on the cargo area with that after thought shelf system.
Great reviews Jeff! I watched your video on the lime rush 2022 TRD Pro and purchased it and I’m definitely buying the Sequoia TRD Pro, white with the black rims!
Good video and review Jeff. I am looking forward seeing a driving review from you with pricing. Thanks, Dan
To be best rounded it needs a 4auto or full time 4x4 action like the old Sequoia in 4Hi (without center locked) or like 4Runner limited.
I'm not loving the cargo system with the different floor levels. The tray system might be useful in some situations but the higher third row floor eats into a low full cabin floor for cargo haul. The center console looks very "plasticky" for any price point let alone 60k and up. Why no full time AWD/4WD option? The exterior styling is tough and capable looking especially in the TRD PRO trim.
although there should have been an option for full time 4wd, tbh i think its nice there's a part time option and it improves the fuel economy
Lovin' the styling of the new Sequoia! Unfortunately that cargo space is a deal killer for me.
Why the hell would they make this where you can't put your dogs in the back. This is really messed up. Plus, the window no longer goes down. Wonder if they're going to screw up the 4Runner, as well.
love your enthusiasm!
I cannot afford one of these Sequoia's.
HOWEVER, we take delivery on our 2022 RAV4 Limited Hybrid tomorrow. 🙂
Pano roof is great, but my two little ones love the roof mounted one in our 2021 Sequoia Platinum…. It plays a 1 TB microSD chocked full of videos from RUclips
Does it have wireless Apple CarPlay?
Loved the crossover livestream the other night
Hi, I’m seeing on certain website like consumer reports saying that the TRD Pro trim will have a full time 4WD. Is that true? Cuz in the inside of the TRD Pro I can see the lever letting you select 2H - 4H - 4L. Can Jeff please confirm this information? Thanks 😊
Beautiful vehicles! I like the Capstone just a bit better.
I’m thinking about going from a Tahoe to the capstone. I can’t find details anywhere, but I live in a condo, and the garage height is a concern. My Tahoe just fits, and I’m wondering if the capstone is any taller than the Tahoe would be?
Falling in love with the trd pro
Hi, would you be doing a review for the 2023 hybrid version? Says it arrives soon in the summer.
Beautiful TRD! First thing im Gonna do is remkoe that sequia emblem in the back. Will look a lot cleaner.
Are both parts of the 3rd row seat able to slide forward or just the left side?
I am a commuter , I think any of these beasts will drink.. i definitely dig the capstone in that application
Great quality video😍 I’m impressed!
Thanks I started changing how I film :)
Getting ready to order one but not a fan of the two toned leather seats. I’m hoping they have other options. Really interested in the black with tan or gray leather
Sitting here wondering if TRD Pro will have access to Digital Rear View Mirror, Panoramic Roof, HUD, etc. Tundra allows for off-road chops with all the options through 1794 with TRD Off-Road package, but it appears so far that the Sequoia won't have a way to build an off-road vehicle with all the tech
That’s what I’m seeing too
Is there an option to not having the 3rd row?
Can you show what the storage space behind the 3rd row looks like with the seats pushed all the way forward? Not sure I could fit a few large suitcases back there. Is it not being shown because of the battery hump?
Overall it looks nice. Just need to make sure I have space for a family of 6 taking luggage on a road trip or the airport.
Might be better off with a minivan, not very cool but for the most interior space and cargo capacity you can’t beat a minivan. AWD Sienna gets 35 combined, I’m tempted to sacrifice the cool factor of a big SUV for practically.
Idk about that third row , not folding flat , looks tight! Everything else on it looks amazing!!
I have been debating waiting for this or offering a Tahoe z71. I like Toyota but like everyone points out cargo space looks so tiny for a full size suv
Heck yea great idea!
@ToyotaJeff Reviews: When can we order a 2023 Sequoia?
Jeff hopefully we get the final exterior and interior combination colors so that we know what to order.
I was ready to order one sight unseen until really paying attention to the details. I have a 2018 and had a 2012 sequoia. I’m ever faithful but I’d be lying if I didn’t say I have concerns over electric hybrid issues. And what happened to the 3rd row tundra platform where the seats were not on the wheel well? I need that entire space to go flat for max storage potential. Has the sequoia gotten prettier only to sacrifice its utility? If I wanted pretty I wouldn’t have purchased a 2nd one and went for an Armada or an Escalade. I need a luxury bad ass utility truck made for a mom with a business. I need Capstone luxury, TRD sport, and old school Toyota quality and function. If they can’t deliver, I will wait until they figure it out. And solar orange is the absolute most amazing thing ever…. What a fail to only make it available on the TRD.
I've realized whether it's the Tundra or Sequoia, I want the Capstone interior with the TRD Pro exterior. If only that was possible 😩😩😩
Big facts
I'll be curious what a Platinum with TRD Offroad package will look.
I’m 100% with you on this. Black accents way better than outdated chrome. Also, the capstone gives HUD, an air ride, Better leather. Just having a “black package” option would fix this issue
I gotta get me one of them TRD!!! Omg
Jeff, is that 3rd row removable? I feel like that storage system is smoke and mirrors to distract people from the battery hump. I know compromises had to be made though.
Would love to know if it can be removed (even by unbolting it permanently)… it’s a deal breaker for those of us with dogs.
@@RC-em6lp I’m sure you can unbolt it. I doubt it’s welded in.
Wish they would come out with none hybrid version since people keep talking about it's not a significant bump on mpg
What are the actual exterior dimensions ?
When will the sequoia be released?
Really awesome truck sir
Super cool trd pro sequoia capstone
Jeff will there be a capstone night shade edition?? Or XSE? 😅
Haha I doubt it but you never know
I wish. Too much chrome on the Capstone.
Show the sr5 model to see its features please.
Amazing 😊
What other colors available
Which one is bigger, the LX600 or this one?
TRD Pro all the way for me.
I want both mix as one hahah.
Worried about those turbo’s long term vs an NA engine. Will they make it to 200k Miles?
My 2021 Sequoia Platinum has the power rear window which I love.
Are all interior bulbs LED?
Wow beautiful beast Toyota Sequoia
Trading in the 17 4runner sr5 premium third row.
2023 Toyota Sequoia

Such a good looking SUV.
Do I give up my 2016 4Runner limited for this ?
Ahhh …don’t do it..you’ll regret it..
Well done, did the TRD Pro have HUD, like Capstone?
Sadly, no. And not configurable that way, at least in the tundra. Wish it was!
When can you give us the driving impression review?
Toyota hasn’t offered that yet to anyone.
I suspect you’ll see driving videos by this summer but I don’t know
Imposing design but I really the mid row seat has the sliding and reclining feature
Love it
Min 8:47 case looks bend ?
My kids would chew these up and spit them out. No surface on the rear seats would be left unsticky. And the Cheerios, oh the damn Cheerios. Like, where do all these Cheerios come from? I don't even remember the last time I bought Cheerios. Anyway, good review.
I already asked it to TRDJON, can someone give me the total lenght of the truck please?
Hi there Jeff
Like Arnold would say "Fantastic" 😂
It’s to exspensive I can’t afford it 😂 I like the TRD pro. I would like the TRD pro have the panoramic roof but nope that upset me.
TRD PRO FTW!
No room for my dogs in back cause of that hump from 3rd row seating, unbelievable!
Same 😔🐾🐾
That cars is so beautiful
How long do you think the white leather will last clean?! That will be a nightmare.
Toyota wanted to call it Tactical-camo but somehow someone heard wrong and they all went with it.
1st gen Sequoia will always be my favorite sequoia
I really like it, but I think I still prefer the cruiser so hopefully we'll see what we get in the US. I think I'm going to get the new Tundra until then, hopefully Jeff can sell me one!
It's already available in the US. Lexus LX600
@@jeremycook9852 Same could be said of the LX570, it's the same car underneath but I don't need the Lexus flair or luxuries.
@@hivetyrant7 LX570 was replaced by the LX600 for 2022. There will be no Toyota version sold in the states.
Does trd pro have heads up display??
What’s the cost for 2022 capstone sequoia
Guess around 75000
Is the Trd hybrid too?
Yes all Sequoia trims are hybrids :)
Disappointed with cargo space. Nice refresh though.
same here wish the TRD PRO came in. 2 ROW , most of us off-roaders dont want or have a need for a 3rd row seat
How many mpg though?
That won’t be announced until closer to summer release
When is it available? Prices? MPG? I love my Tundra but giving the gas price these days I have to let it go..on the wait list for the Hummer EV SUV..if the TRD pro give a 30plus MPG then I will change my mind
Supposed to be available for summer delivery and other releases have said the previous 51-65k price would be a good starting point with the top trim Capstones stretching that out a little. So probably topping out in the low to mid 70’s.
20mpg would be a closer guess.
Makes sense to pay that much for an ev instead of paying an extra free hundred a year in gas
@@Therealestrunnerluda That depends on how you use it. I have a boat and camper, so I need a gas vehicle.
Totally blew it on the cargo area
Toyota absolutely nailed it as far as exterior design and first and 2nd rows. Im absolutely devastated by the 3rd row and Cargo area though. really poor design and use of space. Quite far behind other Full size SUVs
I meant, why doesn't it have IRS?
like it..solid rear axle , just wish the TRD PRO came in. 2 row for us off roaders , who have no need or WANT a 3rd row , we need payload and cargo space for our kit , a hit for Toyota if they can build Them and the dealers dont get greedy with the markups
The lost cargo is a deal killer, you lose almost a foot of floor height compared to other large SUV's. They almost knocked it out of the park, but a huge SUV that has the same cargo area as a mid-sized SUV is only good for people that never haul gear. Even then you better not put anyone taller than 5-8' in the rear. Once again Toyota proves they won't add the luxury features in the TRD pro trim, no pano-roof, no HUD, etc. Meanwhile GM, Ford, Ram, Jeep all putting top end features into their off road trims. The other interesting question will be if the 4runner gets a new design this year, what does it end up being......is it going to be another low-tech, underpowered unit like the 2022, and if not how much will the price jack up, because the Sequoia TRD PRo is only about $12k more than the current 4runner TRD Pro.
Don't forget, meanwhile. GM, Ford, Ram, and jeep are in the shop. I own a jeep and it's a piece of crap.
@@yolog4137 that is the reason I'm afraid to get a wagoneer is jeep issues. I have two friends with newer jeeps and they always have issues. Big turn off
I think everybody is forgetting that this is HYBRID. That's why the cargo area is elevated. You have to sacrifice something
If the TRD pro looks like that!! Im confused to what the 4runner is gonna look like
Smaller
@@sweethands4328 yeah you’re right! I look at the new Nissan Pathfinder and the new Nissan Rogue looks the same just smaller
Hoping there will be a 2 row only option
You’re in my state! How do you like my state?
CA was magical I loved it
Commiefornia 🤔
@@SylentONE , 😂🤣😂
Sick😍
They totally screwed up that rear cargo space. I’ve owned 3 Sequoia’s now and I have a daughter in a wheelchair. I’m not dealing with the ‘hump’ as he describes it. I have enough challenges loading that thing daily.
Type of engine on new sequoia
👍
Beautiful truck.
Looks like a 4runner with a little more room in the 3rd row and still no room behind it. I thought full size suvs were for large families?? Where do the groceries go when you have all the kids with you? Forget road trips or family vacations. Camping? I guess I'm stuck with gm or ford even though I am a honda and toyota loyalist. Thanks? What a disappointment.
Looking good Jeff 👍🇺🇸🙏😎
Cargo space really disappointed
cars amazing, will see how much toyota wanna sell this new master
Other than the obnoxiously large SEQUOIA on the back tailgate that is the best looking full size SUV as of today in my view, just ditch that massive badge in back, please.
Dad, can we bring the soccer ball to the park? Sorry, doesn't fit.
Not a fan of the chrome or the gloss black.
A “Skinny” ToyotaJeff……..just saying! NH
👎🏻👎🏻 NOT LONG ENOUGH! Needs 4 ft more... like Suburban.
🤢🤢
Very uncomfortable that the rear seats can not be folded flat to the floor. This is a huge downside to this model.
