Consumer tip: Walmart clearance at the end of the season for lawn and garden items!
You are the Briggs King Buddy. She looks as good as she runs. Wow 👌😁👍
Thanks Lloyd!! This one was especially challenging!!☻
That valve situation for sure turned out way better than I thought it would sounds fantabulistic 😊
Thanks Bill!! This one was especially challenging!!☻
When I was a kid my dad was working in the garden with the tiller and it had one of those metal straps to kill the spark. When he finished I wanted to help so I reached over to shut the engine off but I didn't really know what I was doing and I touched the spark plug. ZAP!! I learned my lesson though, it didn't happen again.
Another one saved from the scrapper!
It's like a one-armed bandit, but there's no prizes, just puttputts... :P
Really enjoyed this rebuild, looks fantastic and can’t wait to see it at the show! 😃👍
Thanks Buddy!! This one was especially challenging!!☻
From where it started - it's amazing, purrs like a kitten :)
Thanks Chris!! We're real pleased with the way it turned out, this one was especially challenging!!☻
It's alive! Great job RoadKing!
Thanks Buddy!!☻
The decal & brass-top spark plug are the finishing touches to this vintage B&S… nice job RK!!
Thanks Tom!!☻
Little Engine turned out really nice RK, 👍🏻
Thanks Bruce!!☻
I've got my feelers out for a supplier of aluminium data plates. Another RUclipsr uses this guy and I just sent an email to get the fella's contact info. I got you covered, bro. Hopefully I'll hear back by next Wednesday.
Great looking Briggs
Thanks Bud!!☻
Great little motor, looks brand new now ,excellent job, thanks for sharing, all the best to you and your loved ones
Thank you Donald!!☻
Sounds great, nice restoration , brings back old memories of me mowing lawns with that style of engine.
Thanks Martin!!☻
For years back in the 90's when I had my shop, you could catch Havoline SAE 30 on sale for .99/quart. Everytime it came up, I'd go around clearing the shelves. There's no telling how many people I ticked off!
Great work RK, I was beginning to wonder after seeing the valves, etc.. I should have known you would not only get it running, it making it look like a new engine. Keep the videos coming my friend.
Thanks LL!!☻
I use that B&S oil in all my 4 cycle air cooled engines, works good.
It's alive and running pretty good considering what you started with.
Thanks Larry!! This one was especially challenging!!☻
I put this up before and something went wrong and it didn't post. Briggs had a manual # MS-3360. It was reprinted in the late 90's by them. A fine reprint is available on Amazon. It has valve seat part numbers, tools etc. I found it under a Briggs repair manual search. Thanks again for another fine resto series.
Thanks Pat!! I couldn't find one on Amazon but i scored an original on Ebay, should be here in a few days!!☻
Hoping to see you and Mike July 11th through 14th.
I'm pretty sure we'll make it!!☻
Great to see it running - nice resto RoadKing!
Thank you Von!! This one was especially challenging!!☻
Yeah buddy!!
even a quart of oil has gone up greatly the last couple years
Yeah Buddy!!☻
Nice job RK. The sticker turned out nice buddy. Its running pretty good considering what you started out with. Enjoyed the series as always!
Thanks Bob!! This one was especially challenging!!☻
Reminds of my first Briggs 5S lever start I pulled out of the trash! Great work RK!
Thanks alot Jack!!☻
Cool engine roadking
One downside of that type of layout, with the exhaust so close, is that it makes carburettor tuning difficult. As you adjust the engine speed or change the mixture the exhaust slowly heats up or cools. If you start to change something else before the temperature stabilises it's easy to overshoot. This is where patience really is a virtue. Good luck with this.
runs not bad and it looks very good....CHEERS
Thank you Gator!!☻
Nicely done, EJ!
Thank you George!!☻
Heck of a job!!! Thanks!!!
Thanks Rodney!!☻
It looks great.
Thanks Mike!!☻
nice tip on that tape on the shirt thing RK, 4.00
Thanks Rich!!☻
RK: Nice job. I have really enjoyed these videos. Thanks
Thanks Tom!! This one was especially challenging!!☻
That looks like an engine I had a long time ago, l took the head off to see what was inside, when I put the head back on I put the long bolts in the short holes and jack bolted a horizontal split into the cylinder
Fine work RK 😊😊😊
Thanks Luke!!☻
Awesome video thank you for the video
Thank you Joe!!☻
Great job ❤❤❤❤❤❤
Thanks Chuck!!☻
another great series, Roadking. enuff a dis :)
Thanks Neil!!☻
I was one of those kids who was afraid of shutting it off with my finger i always got shocked. sadly briggs has not made a quality engine for decades and decades now.
i Always enjoy thee series videos. I also like when you and Mike get together at the "museums". The data plate could be made by spray painting the metal and then blasting the paint away with a laser on a cnc laser etcher/engraver. Are there good quality photos of original data plate available?
Thanks Terry!! There should be a good plate or picture somewhere, they made millions of those engines!!☻
Nice Mr Road king 👍👍🤔
Thank you Mel!!☻
Another Briggs Engine in the Books ! * Hoo - Ray * ! Nice Job RoadKing... QUESTION: To make the tape less sticky, Does the Shirt have to be Black & " White Checks?"
...Newk from Kentucky
Thanks Newk!! Blue and White will work, but the Black and White work the best!!☻
I've never known Briggs to not consume a little oil. Seems like it was running a little bit rich, which is a carb issue. You're not running the original carb that it was set up with originally.
Nuffa This!
Yeah Buddy!!☻
I wish Roadking would get with the times and do a Chinese Honda clone restoration.
You're killin' me Harold!!☻
@@805ROADKING I try. Nice job on the Briggs buddy!
She sure does look pretty. She's just tipping her hat to her age, letting a little blue hair (smoke) show..
Nice job ! What is the horse power ?
Thanks Wayne!! That's 1 HP!!☻
Nice looking classic kick start classic Briggs and Stratton engine there @805roadking
Thanks Rob!!☻
@@805ROADKING your welcome young man 😁😎
