I'm excited to share! It's super cool.
This is the best intro to rigging I could hope for..
I love it! A “starter video” gives lots of quick fuel for the fire of imagination, and a jumping off point for the viewer to dive into each separate concept as deeply as they wish. You make excellent videos, by the way! Thank you
Glad to hear that, Mason!
Nice, explanation of IK and FK explain well
By far one of, if not the best, blender youtubers out there. The depth at which you go into makes the learning process so easy. I'm looking forward to more tutorials.
Thanks so much, Minced! I'm really glad to have you watching and appreciating!
Longer tutorials please. The detail you give is what makes this channel amazing.
Thanks for the feedback, Scott! Good to know

This is so great man, thanks! I've never been able to get armatures to work how I want, but this helped me get a better base understanding (and those other links will be good:)) Keep up the good work!

You don't need a parachute to skydive. You need a parachute to skydive *_twice_*
This kind of foundational information is sadly lacking; I've seen 1/2-hour videos that never explained what software they were using, assuming viewers had been following the channel. This concept is one I've never explained so well, and I learned useful information from it - please keep going.
And I liked your quote.
Hah I'm going to keep that one in my back pocket.
Glad you found the info helpful. Thanks for watching, Terry!
💯💯
That Flip had Flopped.
If you want to learn more about rigging robots like this look at @JeannotLandry on Twitter. He just made a fantastic robot/hard surface rigging course that talks about how to do really cool robotic rigs with stuff like hydraulics and premade animations controlled by bones, and using bones to change the color and brightness of different objects a lot of really cool stuff.
I really enjoy your tutorials and the way you get into details, can you please tell me how you edit your videos since i want to also start a youtube channel and would like to explain the way you do OR if it pleases you to make a vid on how you create your lessons, I am your no. 1 fan man.
Hi Richard, glad you like them! One important thing in my process is figuring out exactly what I want to say before I hit record. For me, this requires that I script things out. Some other youtubers are better at speaking off the cuff. Most importantly, you'll learn by doing. If you have a camera, just start making videos! No matter how good or bad they are, you'll learn a ton! Good luck!
@@InLightVFX okey thanks man, also , can you maybe tell me what kind of software you use to annotate
My favorite joke is pineapple on pizza. Also great tutorial!
I see what you did there using a robot so the movement looks deliberately blocky... Just kidding, great work ^^
You're right though, robots are more forgiving! Good character to animate first time around.
amazing job! anywhere i can get the robot model?
please make detailed hours long tutorials so that beginners can learn u'll get watchtime
I didn't quite get the purpose of switching between FK and IK.
can you please please do tutorial for how to work flow with blender and davinci while footage shooted in green screen, tutorial for adding VFX in that i guess it will help others, well thankyou, i hope you will think about this. please
Can you make a photoreal animation
I have a favourite joke: 2020
2:35 how to u make the box which the robot is standing on and the wall and everything match exactly to the footage? I am new at vfx so I don't know. I tried CGI compositing but I didn't know how to make it interact with the surrounding. so I made an easy robot and rigged it. now I want to make it jump from one wall to the other but I don't know how to match its movements to the footage that I have.....plz can u help??? I hope u understood what I wanna ask!
Ok joke time, why does thieves have a hard time understanding puns? Cuz they take things LITERALLY. aight imma head out
Haha good one!
What did the hand say to the face?
What??
First
Woh, speedy!
u should've taken reference from Boston Dynamics flips not from real humans, your flip looks very fast for the weight of a robot.
I don't really have a favorite joke.
He´s no Animator so i give him a (render) pass on that!
Hah! :)
