nice tuturial, helped me a lot, and it was very funny to watch. but for those of you, who got the same problem that i had: when after tracking the object floats around somewhere in the scene, not really alligned to anything, just select three trackers, on the ground, go to orientation tab on the left and click on floor. That way, you will define where the base lies and you will have alignment to the ground of your scene
Actually node editor is the best in my opinion! Once you get it, it's the best thing and you'll keep using it! But it kind of hard to understand at first! But if you keep using it, you'll immediately catch up
This video was suggested to my by RUclips - I intend to "dip my toes" into Blender fairly soon (so, obviously, this is all over my head at the moment) but I get the whole idea of laying the groundwork for the robot to appear "realistically lit" - and this guy sure knows his stuff - brilliant video - thanks !
Isn't it nice that there will be a whole generation of children who will out perform us in our industry and put us out of work. I love that. Thanks for "Educating" them.
Oh ... Didn't expect it to be that easy! Just like a morning shave 😂 ... But anyway, interesting and doable by a mortal, after couple of weeks of digging the topic
You mixed your laptop's mic array with the external mic and that caused the phasing in the final mix. The robotic voice effect is also due to this setup, it's just that the delay between your laptop's mic and the external mic is slightly bigger (~25ms will give you a 50hz robotic sound). So unless you have pre-mixing control over the internal mic and the external one and you're able to perfectly sync them, just use only one mic. Other than that, that cow looked so realistic. Good job.
The amount of fun and Hardwork he puts into his video is really Fascinating. Yet he isn't getting the Appreciation he deserves. But I Appreciate every single second of this video.
@@belizaire28 The title isn't what made me feel like "hard work??," it was how many ads they could cram into just the first four minutes of video when they have a whole 18 ready minutes to show... lol
Wait I thought you said THIS easy. Clearly it’s pretty complicated-one needs much time to learn all of this. Thanks for all. Where did you get all this time to become such an expert so young?!
Amazing!!! In your hands it looks easy. Looking at all steps you performed and the final processing diagram, it looks almost easier to actually construct the robot 😄
I watch your channel and I’m blown away by your great work and approach. I work in the VFX field (Mark Breakspear) and just wanted to say it’s great to have people like you promoting VFX and the techniques used to create them. Keep up the spectacular work!
When I was younger, me and my brothers made films. (2005-2017). What took me literally 20,000 hours for a crappy four hours of the series could be done in 6 months with modern technology. Kinda pisses me off honestly, but I'm excited to see where the VFX industry is going next.
Not only did I think the cows were fake, I also immediately started looking for any kind of mistakes in the render 😑 That was hilarious! Great video, thanks for uploading!
Pretty nice! Personally I would want to pick a model that could be rendered more realistically and probably clean up the mask a lot (if you look close you can see the rough edges) to try something like this, but I'm glad how Blender is becoming more and more of an accessible program for more complicated VFX work like this.
It's so simple! Thousands of menus and clicks later...VOILA! I feel like I just drank out of the CG firehose man. Plot twist: cows are CG and the robot is real. Nice job man.
I'm really looking forward to the video with the animation of the analysis of technical projects, mechanisms, details. This direction is insanely interesting.
Thank you so much I figured out so much from this tutorial that I saved the end result ....of this TUT...a background driving scene I tracked....as my blender startup file and now whenever I open blender it shows my tracked background driving scene... with the default cube instead of the robot over a background driving scene....and I could just do a quick track and change a couple settings and bam I have instant easy VFX anytime I want... I could just go into my blender assets folder and grab a car slap it in there... grab a character from my blender assets folder slap that in there ...and then I have a driving scene I just gotta animate a couple things... yeah true I totally pimped the default cube startup file...😀
I was thinking that too. I have a friend who works with AE and hates nodes. It seems impossible. Rigging effects pedals for guitar is much easier, lol.
you can make your own HDR with a regular dslr too, just takes a bit more time, but its quite easy to stich images together to form a panorama (LR does it automatically and there is open source soft that does it too.)
Wow, didn't realize it was this unbelievably easy. This would be perfect in any retirement home for seniors who want to take their first steps into the world of computer graphics. And you don't even have to watch it at normal speed. Hit that 2x button and you'll finish in half the time.
Great video Steve. I like this quality over quantity approach you seem to be taking for videos. I hope it doesn't affect your channels performance negatively though. All the best.
The robot looks so real. Great video, really didn't know we can make such an amazing vfx in blender. The creator of blender is God, he gave it for free. By the way great video.
