      Blender auto save automatically even when it crashes. Never lost a file in blender and it rarely crashed over the past 15 years I’ve been using it

      if that does happen, and you goto autosave or recover and your file is quit.blend and it's in your temp folder, navigate to temp, to recover the file rename quit.blend to quit.blend1.
      Reopen that file, then resave that recovery file as your new backup

    Blender is also a Python module. Meaning you don't even have to open Blender to use it. You can use Python to access it's features from the command line and combine it with other Python modules to do some incredible things.

    SOMETHING I APPRECIATE SO SO MUCH about your video: Many informational videos likely would mention the more obvious features of a subject before diving into the lesser-known features that people would want to know about. You, however, went right to highlighting the new, exciting things I didn't know about Blender before hand rather than adding clickbait, and I find that so unique and awesome. I feel like I have an even greater and more inspiring understanding of this software now. Thanks : )

    Yep.... Blender's come a long, long way since its baby days when I first started using it around 2000 or so.

    Missed one. We make full dental restorations using blender as the base for our CAD work. I’ve personally fabricated over 1,000 cases using just blender, some that are full arc on multiple implants. No other software utilized.

      Technically, Blender is built around CADwork paradigm, and is composed following CADwork principles. This is also why it is so different from the other applications.

      They shouldn't change options, shortcuts and workflow every new version! That's a major bad thing. And they should try to aquire a new simulation system, Mantaflow is a buggy , crashy mess and delivers no good quality...

      @@ArameoDios No, it remote controls existing professional consoles like grandMA3 and Eos. That way you can use it for a high school theatre show, for a church, or to render lighting animations for a super bowl halftime show. And by “render”, I don’t mean visualize, I mean train.

    For procedural generation and all sorts of simulation, although not mentioned among the other softwares here, is Houdini. Houdini is king of all things procedural and simulation.

    that's a great recap.
    you mentioned Grease Pencil and Freestyle, but you did miss Line Art and it's improvements that cover for some shortcomings of Freestyle (like intersections). 😊

      More than a vid, each of these is a whole course going from beginner to advanced. There so much sitting in physics sim along that that alone could be a one year course on how to manipulate it. Same with particle systems and hair sims, sculpting can take a bit on it's own especially if you want to learn to do realistic faces with facial hair and whatnot.

    Blender is an all-in-one package, free, reliable and consistent. But for now any single module that you review separately - loses in comparison to the dedicated softwares. Only if you use it in a studio environment, where you have python programmers capable of writing modules for Blender - then you can make true miracles. But with all honesty - these 6 yrs I've been using Blender after 10+ years in 3dsmax were the best. Blender rocks

    Blender needs to optimise the software.... I run on a 64gb ram, AMD Ryzen 7 5800x 8-core processor, RTX - 4060ti GPU .... still I struggle a lot in sculpting, everytime I remesh or dynamesh, it crashes like hell..
