Yeah, I use Touch Portal. It works on Android and iOS. I am using it on a Samsung Tab A 10.1. I have it setup looking like Star Trek's LCARS screens. The paid version, which is very inexpensive, gets you unlimited pages and more buttons than you can use. I got it to set up OBS at first, then I found many things that I use it for now like Photoshop, Premiere Pro, and After Effects. I even have a screen for VSCode. As you can tell I am a fan of it. StreamDeck is good, I just like being able to use my set up on either a phone or tablet where I can change the orientation and make it look how I want.

Still seems to work fine for me! I had a few little glitches here and there but haven’t in a long time. As far as the live band thing, make sure in your streaming software you don’t have any kind of gain type thing. And if you can limit the main mix at like -5db, that’s a bit safer. I’ve had some livestreams that were clipping even tho I wasn’t on my end.

Great and simple explanation. It was cool seeing this after just watching your live stream the other night! I'm toying around with live streaming the next time I roast some coffee.

Hey Dunna. I have watched countless videos on how to live stream for music and I can not seem to find my answer anywhere so maybe you can assist. I am trying to live stream with my Sony a6600 attached to my Black Magic Intensity Pro 4k capture card. I have my Saramonic wireless microphone hooked up directly to the camera so it can output through the Blackmagic Intensity Pro 4k (I am assuming that I may need to just run my audio through my Avantone CV-12 connected to my Focusrite 6i6). I can get my video capture set up perfectly but the issue that I am having is with the audio. I am playing audio directly from my speakers and since I have my mic on for voice recording, there is an echo because the mic picks it up from the mic and I do not know how to set this up properly to accomplish what I am trying to do. Simply put I am trying to live stream making music on Maschine via OBS. All these other video suggest using Soundflower or using two interfaces to accomplish this. Any ideas/suggestions?
Yeah, you need to have some kind of soundflower like thing to make that happen. I ended up running my mic through pro tools on an aux track so that I could have it all coming out one place just because its easier that way. But OBS should allow you to select multiple audio sources... I've just found it a bit glitchy. Sorry I don't have anything more solid for you. Oh, also, I highly recommend wearing headphones so that you don't get the echo and your computer audio sounds much better.
This was very useful. Thank you for sharing. A question, now that you have had more time to play with it (hopefully), how does the Elgato Camlink fare versus the Cloner Alliance Flint 4kP Plus? Looking to buy one to do a very similar to setup to yours. I have been doing live feeds yet, but I do have a Sony a6500 and use a Zoom h4 to handle audio from multiple sources and feed it back to the Sony, so seems like with either device I could make this a live stream.
I have had some trouble with the flink4k. I couldn’t get it to work in 4k first off. Second I had some issues with the audio input. I ended up just going back to my old cam link.

This was super helpful! I'm currently trying to figure out how to live stream my wedding. Thanks for sharing! Question, how do you sync the audio & video to ensure you don run into audio issues when/if the video is delayed/lagging for streaming?
I think depending on which software you use, there should be an option to sync up audio, I haven’t tried to use it as I don’t ever know if my audio is out of sync until someone in the chat tells me lol.
Hey man love the run down! Do you do anything in camera to help with lens distortion on wide lenses like the sigma 16 or sony 18-105? I fix it in post but for a live setup is there any fix or what are your thoughts?
They're pretty handy! They're much too small for any mixing and even some production but for just listening back if i don't need to hear a ton of low end they're great! I love how tiny they are. I'll definitely consider the studio tour!
Hey man, congrats on all the success! Quick question for you - Do you think if I used the A7iii with a recorder like the Atomos Ninja 5 it would eliminate some of the problems you referenced in the video? Trying to decide whether getting the Atomos instead of the a6400 + Sigma 16mm makes sense to use during live streams, video podcasts, etc. Appreciate the help!

In the I/O settings in pro tools, control click your main output so that you can add another output and set those to the ones that would be soundflower. (For me that means my main control room goes out 1+2 AND 5+6) In OBS choose soundflower as an audio source.
This is great, thanks for the elaborate details! Could you provide me with any tips on how to make my Zoom calls sharper? I have the Sony a7r II, a new macbook pro, CamLink 4k. OBS doesn't seem to work w/ Zoom. When I use Zoom (w/ my above setup), the quality on my end looks incredibly sharp; however, when I test the Zoom quality by using another computer in my house on the same Zoom call, the receiving end doesn't look sharp. I suspect it's because of my cable modem bandwidth (both computers are wired ethernet and get 180 mbps down and 18 mbps up). Do you have any suggestions? e.g., perhaps lowering the camera's quality to 720 or 24 fps would result in a smaller video to transmit, and thus less room for Zoom to use its own compression and degrade the quality? Thanks!
Cool. Always was curious on how lives were made. I do have a question, does the cam link have software or its just to let you bring in the signal? Wanted to see if I can use my DSLR for zoom chats and would the mic be plugged into the dslr or the PC?
The Camlink just shows up as its own video and audio input source. So in zoom when you choose which camera to use, you just choose camlink. Then when you choose audio... choose camlink again. BAM! basically the computer sees the camlink like its it's own webcam.
Do you have any info on your obs setup? I have some issues having a good quality livestream to RUclips using OBS. I don't have any dropped frames but the end product looks a little jumpy like either my encoder is missing a frame or something. Thanks.
Hello, I use the NTG as a USB mic into my PC. The issue I am having is that the gain knob has virtually no affect on the sound. Am I missing something? Does the gain knob not work using USB?
What are your settings to get crisp, true-to-life video from your camera for streaming? I find my output looks very muted, almost dull. Is it color grading in OBS?
No I use a capture card and hdmi instead. If you’re using the imaging edge webcam (which only works in certain programs) then you can’t charge via usb at the same time.
I had a question: I am going to live stream using my A6600 camera. The small USB cable that comes with the camera to charge ( im not sure what its called what type of cable it is) ...is there a longer one that i can purchase somewhere ? The one that comes with the camera is only about one foot long...not good for outdoor live stream where I may need a longer cable.
my hubby is a barber and he said your hair cut looks great! :D I've been trying to figure out live-streaming for weeks now .. the audio part (streaming from logic) drives me nuts. one question, do you NEED a capture card or can you just link the camera via usb? Ive got a Sony a6400 thank you in advance :)
I have been figuring out the live streaming with my a6600 today. You can use Sony's Image Edge Desktop application to stream over USB, but the quality, lag, choppiness will probably suffer. Connect your a6400 via USB to your computer, on the camera go to the menu-tools (2nd last menu tab)-USB Connection and set it to PC remote. Open the edit app for the sony computer software. You can see a live feed from the camera. You'll then add the input source in OBS as either "WIndow Capture" or "Display Capture". The window capture is really choppy (I have a full 1 sec video lag behind the audio). The display capture might work well if you have an extra display. You can crop the source down to just the part the video feed is at (google the key strokes to do that). I am personally just buying a capture card. Way to finicky and the window capture quality isn't an option for me, plus I don't have a free display. Worth a try for you though.

Tanner Meade thank you so much for taking the time to reply! I understand. Sounds like I’m gonna order a capture card then 😅 I do live music live streaming so audio and video matching up is really important
Yeah that way works, I saw someone post this method the other day and thought it was a clever workaround. Unfortunately, like you said, it’s got its own drawbacks but it does save the cash of getting a capture card!
i have a question could you talk on Livestream with your friends or could you message too them on your live- stream that was my qustion i ask this question for because i got a live-stream like a brithday gave and i am brealy know who too use it it's a question ?
Would love to see a tutorial on the overlays for your livestreaming! (Been using this tutorial to help improve my setup for zooms and teams meetings at uni - i shall be the envy of all the staff!)
Interesting thanks for this. I've played with OBS using a Steinberg UR12 interface and my GX85 camera but I'm getting serious lag between the video and the audio. The interface can plug directly into a phone for a Facebook live and with a condenser mic it takes it to the next level but trying to enhance the video with the camera and the Cam Link just causes me issues. Any suggestions on what I can do? I have the Cam Link with a Steinberg UR12 interface and a Panasonic GX85 as my camera.
Hmmm... thats really odd. To be completely honest, I'm not sure what would be causing that. I mean, theres always a bit of lag if I try to monitor my audio directly through obs but I just kind of always assumed that it turned out okay on the stream... maybe I should watch my stream back and make sure it's not messed up lol.
but first to actually post a response. Thank you for the clear explanation of your setup. How do you hang the sound blankets? or are they moving blankets....looking for ideas
Thanks for watching Stefan! The one that's right behind my desk is actually in front of a window. Its just got a couple small finishing nails in the top corners for now until I get some better window coverings. The one behind me is in front of the closet and I put curtain rod hooks up and then used a backdrop stand rod in the hooks (basically a curtain rod) then I just used a couple cheap plastic clamps to put it up and take it down. Hope that helps!
There is a shot of the camera support in the video. It’s a friction arm with a clamp on the back end of it. It’s just clamped you the back part of my computer monitor.
Hey man, i got a different interface (komplete audio 1), i thought it is simmilar to the focusrite one, but i got 1 problem, when i stream there is no desktop audio even tho the interface is selected and obs shows the desktop audio in the mixer
Desktop audio in OBS has been a tough one for me too. I started using ecamm love because it was simpler to get there. I’m not sure what’s going on with OBS that it does that.
🔥🔥 Great vid. I learned a lot. Curious, why are you using a capture card with a Sony camera? Prepping for my first live stream. Been practicing w/ Imaging Edge Desktop connected to OBS. Is it better to have a capture card? Thanks 💪🏽💪🏽 IG: @TheSummerIsNow
I recently saw that little hack to go from imaging edge to OBS, but it’s just a screen capture of the program right? I think the quality from a capture card will be slightly better and potentially more reliable. But hey, if it works and you don’t have to buy a capture card... that’s great!
Dunna Did It It also captures video. Good point...I hope that is doesn't go out during my first stream 😭. After watching your vid, I now know that I gotta get my lighting better. Thanks for replying and thanks for an awesome vid. 💪🏽💪🏽
No one can be streaming seems without using OBS.I dowan to use pc..Only mobile stream .So I just use streamlabs. Its just the thumbnail cant use video is big upset .Please do streaming much for mobile users who dont have pc
Haha yeah I never said it was an affordable setup lol, just that its the one I have. Also, I didn't buy any of this stuff just for streaming. It was all stuff I bought for other reasons and then dual purposed for streams.

The Camlink just shows up as its own video and audio input source. So in zoom when you choose which camera to use, you just choose camlink. Then when you choose audio... choose camlink again. BAM! basically the computer sees the camlink like its it's own webcam.
@@dunnadidit Sweeeettt...!!! Thank you very much Dunna.
Thank you for sharing your setup!
My pleasure!
Hmm if I remember correctly, the gain knob might not be functional in usb mode. It might be something set in the computer.
I have the same mic and I can’t even use it as a usb mic it’s too sensitive and the audio is distorted with lots of background noise.
This was SOOOO informative! Thank you so much!!
Thanks for watching Paul!
Great video thanks for all of these advices ^^
Thanks for watching!
I change from OBS to Ecamm Live (it’s make for mac only) and I Loved.
What are your settings to get crisp, true-to-life video from your camera for streaming? I find my output looks very muted, almost dull. Is it color grading in OBS?
It’s all about lighting! I’m just in standard mode on my camera and no color grading in OBS either.
ahhh this things I'll never do, but this is so interesting and it's always fun watching you...
Thanks so much! Yeah, It’s pretty overkill for what most people need but it’s stuff I already have so 🤷🏻♂️
Hello ! Do you use a dommy batery or something ? My a6600 is not charging from usb...
No I just plug in usb. There is a setting inside that enables usb power though. Make sure thats enabled
@@dunnadidit and do you need to use the app “Imaging edge webcam” ?
No I use a capture card and hdmi instead. If you’re using the imaging edge webcam (which only works in certain programs) then you can’t charge via usb at the same time.
@@dunnadidit thank you so much ! I solved the problem and your answers were realy helpful and fast ! You’re the best !🥂
I had a question: I am going to live stream using my A6600 camera. The
small USB cable that comes with the camera to charge ( im not sure what
its called what type of cable it is) ...is there a longer one that i can
purchase somewhere ? The one that comes with the camera is only about
one foot long...not good for outdoor live stream where I may need a
longer cable.
hope to see video on how you setup the equalizer for Rode NT1A , the voice over sound great like a radio dj
Thanks for the suggestion!
Great video. I would love to see a tutorial how you make ur sound so clear. Thank you
Thanks so much! I’ll consider that!
Not gonna lie. The haircut looks 🔥.
Thanks! I'm thinking I owe myself like $20 for that one lol
@@dunnadidit LOL.
Nice video dunna 🥰
Thanks dude!
It charged while powered on?
Great Video Brother! This will be awesome for my free live cooking classes! Just Awesome Thank you. Aloha
So fresh, so relevant, Thanks Dunna!!
Thanks for watching Gary!
How do I find your music studio stuff?
Love this! Gotta steal some ideas! 😉
my hubby is a barber and he said your hair cut looks great! :D
I've been trying to figure out live-streaming for weeks now .. the audio part (streaming from logic) drives me nuts.
one question, do you NEED a capture card or can you just link the camera via usb? Ive got a Sony a6400
thank you in advance :)
I see hello kitty 👀😍. Very nice video! will be grabbing the a6600
Oh, that's a new capture card I haven't heard of. Interesting!
Yeah, I've run into a couple of little kinks so far but I'm in contact with the company to see whats up.
Mirabox is another good one
What are those red discs on the Sony a6600?
Strap anchors for the peak design straps
Love the scrolling text thing, is it an OBS plugin or somethg?
Yeah its cool right?! It's just built into OBS. If you add text, then add a filter... I believe its just called "scroll" then you're off to the races.
Dunna Did It thks Dunna 👍😊
No problem!
What clamp are you using to attach the camera
Nice vid!
Thanks!!
Would love to know your obs settings
i have a question could you talk on Livestream with your friends or could you message too them on your live- stream that was my qustion i ask this question for because i got a live-stream like a brithday gave and i am brealy know who too use it it's a question ?
Would love to see a tutorial on the overlays for your livestreaming! (Been using this tutorial to help improve my setup for zooms and teams meetings at uni - i shall be the envy of all the staff!)
Love your haircut
Thanks a ton David!
@@dunnadidit Thanks for the reply I'll have to dig a bit more so it doesn't look like an old kung fu movie!!
Haha yeah, I mean.... that could be your thing... badly overdubbed live-streams 🤷🏻♂️
How do you get rid of the infinity screen in OBS?
I put OBS on the other monitor. 2 monitors is a necessity for me for streaming with screen sharing.
Dunna Did It I just have one monitor at the moment. That infinity thing drives me nuts. Lol
Haha I hear you.
but first to actually post a response.
Hey i have a question : does your Mac get hot and the fans go loud and does it maintain 60 (or 30) fps on your stream ?
Oh yeah! She revs up the fans like crazy when I'm streaming. Its quite annoying but there's not much I can do about it.
Dunna Did It okay I’m not the only one 😅 thanks for the reply
You are not alone!! Haha thanks for watching!
Thanks for sharing sir
Please, show the camera support. Is it "locked" on the table ?
There is a shot of the camera support in the video. It’s a friction arm with a clamp on the back end of it. It’s just clamped you the back part of my computer monitor.
@@dunnadidit You're right. I missed that. Thanks!
No worries!
Nice work
all capture cards are out of stock!!!!!!! any tips?
Nice. Enjoyed the walkthrough.
Thanks for watching!
It seems like you are using IKEA Karlby desk
Nope! It’s an autonomous desk! I love it!
Lets facetime and ill help you fix the cut 👍🏼😂
Haha!
I’ll buy that cam link from ya!
I'm still using it haha!
2nd! Awesome video !!
Thanks for watching!!
Great ! Thanks man ! Do a haircut tutorial
Lol I'll have to wait until next time I have to cut it!
@@dunnadidit jajaja we'll be waiting !
No one can be streaming seems without using OBS.I dowan to use pc..Only mobile stream .So I just use streamlabs. Its just the thumbnail cant use video is big upset .Please do streaming much for mobile users who dont have pc
the camera is awesome, but it's no way within my budget. $1530 just for the camera house, then you need the lens you are up to $2000.
Haha yeah I never said it was an affordable setup lol, just that its the one I have. Also, I didn't buy any of this stuff just for streaming. It was all stuff I bought for other reasons and then dual purposed for streams.
Hi, is it just me or is your audio out of sync with the video - watching on 📺
Lets see the Photoshop tutorial
One more vote for the photoshop tutorial.
4 months late but nice hair cut bro!

Same deal, it’s mostly just about getting some kind of internet connection on the street. Then get a laptop hooked up and you’re good to go!
