I've implemented all of these lighting techniques recently. Doing this (along with switching from a 4k camcorder that gives NO separation - i.e. bokeh - to a Sony a7s ii with a Sigma 24-70mm f/2.8) has made my videos go from looking homemade to professional!

The moment he said idiot Phone, I was going to scroll, thinking. "another expensive gadget promoter." but dozed for a second and he comes straight to the point.
Explains everything in crystal clear words, no extra non-sense.
Shows along what he says. and clarifies, "it is not going to work everywhere."
Love the way he made this video. Subscribing.

Hey Ben, thank you for taking the time to put together this tutorial. I found it extraordinarily helpful. I’m in the process of doing commercial work and part of the requirements are to submit audition reels. Being new to this process I’ve found it difficult to do at home. This is going to help me purchase the right lighting and establish the right effects so that when I create a reel, the casting directors will be able to focus on me and not the poor quality of the video. Thanks again!
