I don't but y'all but Marques or whoever accepts their resume may God bless their soul. This team is 100% on the job and are pretty passionate about what they're doing.
Basing a review around an overarching thesis rather than about the underlying merits of the product itself is a great recipe for creating a narrative rather than a review. This certainly explains a lot about the reviews I've seen on the MKBHD channel.
Great video! Love it when the team behind the videos are highlighted! Most people have no idea how much work goes into every aspect for video creation, and assume it’s all easy! Kudos Marques for highlighting your team!
As a testament to the effectiveness of your video, I personally commend you for your efforts. My primary challenge lies in my microphone setup, which resulted in excessive bass in my voice and difficulty controlling ambient noise. Seeking cost-effective solutions, I was pleasantly surprised when the gentleman demonstrated effective methods to enhance the sound quality of my Surf microphone, which I purchased from Walmart. Notably, I did not require any third-party audio applications, as the solution was straightforward and effective. While I was not anticipating such a positive outcome, I was fortunate to stumble upon this video during my research. I take this opportunity to express my gratitude for your valuable content and the dedication you pour into your work. May your endeavors continue to be successful.
Hey Marquez. Many years back, like for 2 or 3 years straight you used to tell us how many videos you made in that year and once you were just shy of 100 videos and had committed to make more than 100 next year. What in the Masterclass is this video. Loved every minute of it. I wish school was half as cool.
just want to make one thing known. this is one of the best and most entertaining episodes from Marcus. Also wanted to give extra props to Ellis!! I'm a cinematographer cam light geek but i loved the audio section. Bane of my existence but this was a like a master class quickie on steroids. just nano focused on the sound. could you please release the cut bits!!!!
Ellis is the goat. I would subscribe to his RUclips channel. Learned more relevant info in that 8 minute segment than I learned for any other RUclips video. Maybe I'll finally stop holding my mic in my hand 😂
Grateful for this essential, very VALUABLE, and knowledgeable content. I learned so much in 1 hour about producing better content than any paid course I could get into. Thank you MKBHD and your phenomenal team! I'd love to learn firsthand, maybe one day!
More videos like this please, love all behind the scenes. I wished that Marques would talk a bit as well about his day to day tasks, other than being on camera.
Marques, as someone who is doing other work that I believe is important.. and yet so vitally need to be learning what you have come to understand through experience, I cannot thank you enough for this.
Thanks to your team and to your dedicated efforts to make this platform better. It really matters man, and I sincerely hope you take dedicated moments to feel pride in your work, because you've earned it.
Have a great Sunday! I will work hard to take this video to heart and maybe you'll be commenting in my chat one day.
Final thought, just this week I wrote down in my journal; work hard enough to be a guest on "People I (Mostly) Admire" by Freakonomics.
If they haven't reached out yet, then Stephen is crazy but I'll send them an email this week requesting an episode about MKBHD.
Later 👋
I LOVED Ellis's audio section. Sooper creative!!
Elis is such a character. I love his energy. Great video, lots of great insight in this video!
People praising Ellis. It just makes sense the audio guy for youtube channel with experience in front of camera might know a thing about how to have great presence. Communication is so crucial to making a good impression.
Wow! Really well done! Lots of useful information and very enjoyable. I now understand why your videos are so much more superb than nearly all others I watch. What a lot of work behind the scenes.
Congrats on having a team that really enjoys what they do, where they do it, and who they do it with!
Mariah's editing is unmatched. Also Ellis - you didnt talk much about condenser vs dynamic, right? I'd like an extended cut that dives into your pages and pages. Like, I understand that may not be a widespread hit, but.... I'd cherish a comprehensive reference video
I don't but y'all but Marques or whoever accepts their resume may God bless their soul. This team is 100% on the job and are pretty passionate about what they're doing.
54:16 Shoutout to Harper's Nails. Perfectly creating the video loop 🙌🏻
Basing a review around an overarching thesis rather than about the underlying merits of the product itself is a great recipe for creating a narrative rather than a review. This certainly explains a lot about the reviews I've seen on the MKBHD channel.
i got an expensive mic and used it for two years with stereo, now i know why it sounded like A** with dialogue. Thanks Elis! The revelation 🤦🏻♂🤦🏻♂
As a growing channel this video has lots of gold nuggets sprinkled throughout. Thanks for making it!
Sound guy should consider his own RUclips channel. He caught all attention
Great video! Love it when the team behind the videos are highlighted! Most people have no idea how much work goes into every aspect for video creation, and assume it’s all easy! Kudos Marques for highlighting your team!
I anticipated Elis's part so much 😂 I started grinning as soon as he came into frame.
Been waiting for a video like this for years. Great Team, Lovely work. RIP Mariah if you had to edit this 🤣
Only halfway through but my fave is Mariah. Emphasizing that there is a mold but also breaking it sometimes, intentionally. I like that.
Hey Marquez. Many years back, like for 2 or 3 years straight you used to tell us how many videos you made in that year and once you were just shy of 100 videos and had committed to make more than 100 next year. So hows that going on these days? I under that now you have many channels and a cumulative sum is much higher than that. But I loved such things. Great video team. Cheers
Marquez Marrónlee
holy shit this is insane. I never knew all that went into everything, especially the thumbnails. Love hearing all the professional thought processes and the ways everyone has learnt and grown over time. awesome shit
This man really puts out movie quality work on RUclips.
Whole team is like a YT Galacticos (if you watch football. No, not the American one)
Hala Madrid!! From a Chelsea Fan.
This is one of them ones. I didn't realize how much I wanted to learn. I love it. Really makes me want to be apart of a team like this for decades
you guys nailed it, such an amazing working environment with cool people especially Ellis :). Welcome Harper
As someone who is about a year into making videos, I really appreciate this video. I feel like I'm off to the right path. Thank you for helping inspire me!
Holy shit. Harper has like ALL the bona fides! 🤯 What a fantastic get! Like, obviously everyone there is fantastic, but wow. Harper’s gonna take them just to that last little next level.
The whole team did an excellent job with every section, but David’s breakdown of how to write an engaging script was so excellently explained. It made me erase my entire script and start from scratch, since I did not build it on a solid thesis lol, but it has made the process go infinitely smoother as a result.
Wow, this team know how to keep people engaged. Extremely well done video!🔥🔥
As someone who has always been a professional entertainer for 15 years and has always been interested in expanding my career into the digital space, this video was amazing. Thank you for putting this together!
Alright - most useful video ever. I’ve learned more here than from so many other videos! 💖
Insane video guys! Whoever's idea this was to make this video deserves a raise! One of those rare times where I watched a 54 min video in one go without sleeping off!!
this is a movie. i'm on it 🍿
Nice. Good luck guys, MKBHD is already a huge platform and the future seems really promising 😊
A video making guide from MKBHD I'm all for it
This video is an absolute gold mine/treasure trove of information. Best studio video yet!!! Loveeeee
