What if he didn’t say anything about the car, and people ended up in a very bad accident, resulting in fatalities? Would we then say, ‘Oh, MKBHD should have reviewed that car and said something?
In particular, I enjoy his enthusiasm for what he does which is quite apart from the power he wields or the money he makes - both of which don’t really factor into his interests in the products he reviews or makes. He even talks about how there’s no magic number he would consider for selling his brand. It’s not about the money - it’s about the work he enjoys. That, in my mind, makes him a premium reviewer.

I love how he always mentions his team. I watched Marques making videos alone to integrating and introducing his team....a great journey to witness. Hope he keeps doing great. :)
Every question you asked was excellent. I plan to watch the first minute and then I don’t know where I checked where I was at at the video and I was on minute 27! Excellent interviewing!
I found Marques from his EV review videos (since I was in the market) but I have watched so many of his tech reviews because he really does just hook you in! I have zero interesting in buying a VR headset but I definitely will watch Marques demo it and give me his pros and cons... he just has a way of talking about these things that make them interesting as a conversation/education moreso then an ad. His demeanor is so engaging and I think that is why his videos do so well. All of the planning and production is top notch (shout out to his team) but his personality is why viewers keep coming back!
A random thing I love about Marques, he produces the highest-quality-looking video for his channel. Even his 1080p looks way more crisp and balanced than most channels.

Having watched all of Marcques' interviews he's done over the years I think I the most admirable thing about him is consistency. He has a truth he speaks and doesn't sway from it. I don't think I've ever called anyone a GOAT but damn does he fit it so well.
Now a business man with great leadership skills, a great communicator and focused on his key activity: reviews
I have not bought a single phone in recent memory without watching his review of it first. (I get a new phone every other year). Not only is he thorough and his insight is always good, but he's so interesting to listen to. He really has everything working in his favor.
💯 Thank you for watching 🙏
As someone who makes tech content and is trying to grow a large audience, this was a super useful watch! So much valuable insight in this interview that I've been taking notes and will be using in my own content.
Glad you liked it! Thank you 🙏
Loved this interview. Gave a more in depth understanding of the way Marques and his team work and it was just outstanding. Such a down to earth honest guy, that’s why everybody enjoys his channel.
So glad you enjoyed it 😊
What a humble guy, 100% he is just so genuine and true. funny, has good whit and all but, very knowledgeable and passionate about his craft, talking about things he likes, things relevant and really being informative.
All of his videos are captivating and just draw you in.
💯
First time viewer, and I just really appreciate the interview style of Jon. It's candid, respectful, but really gets at the core of a discussion without the fluff or dramatics. Great work!
Thank you so much 🙏 hope you enjoy my other interviews as well and excited for you to see what we got coming up too
I put this on in to listen in the background while I work, ended up with this having my full attention the entire way. Fantastic interview.
Man! This was incredibly packed, thank you Jon. You are doing great work!
Thank you 🙏 Much appreciated!
Is this a paid course or a RUclips video? The level of inspiration and information is simply mind-blowing! 🤯🤯🤯🤯
Thank you! That's always my goal when prepping for these interviews 🙏
Nice interview. Absolutely love MKBHD. One of the few RUclipsrs that I look forward to watching each video, even if playing in the background (for products I have no interest in). He doesn't ever give the impression that he's making content "just to make content". Each video feels like it has his personal touch. You can feel his passion and relaxed attitude because he doesn't sound like a chipmunk on caffeine.
Thoroughly enjoyed this interview, watched every second and even jumped back a couple of times. - The style of the interview, Jon as the interviewer, and of course MKBHD as the interviewee. Really well done!
Thank you! Means a lot 🙏 hope you enjoy my other interviews on the channel as well
@@youshaei admittedly this was the first interview I’ve seen from your channel, but you best bet I’m taking a look at the others!
Fantastic interview - well thought out questions and very easy to watch. Keep up the good work!
Finally someone convinced him to do a interview
.... he's done plenty.
I'm really impressed that Marques actually devotes time to taking care of his mental health. Many famous youtubers could take a page out of his book.
You're such fantastic interviewer, Jon. I see a million subs for you this year. Easy. Keep up the great work! (Also, love MKBHD. He's a king)
Thanks Brett! Gotta give credit to Marques and Sean for keeping it so candid 🙏
I've never seen a man articulate himself this well!
Thank you for this interview Jon 🤝🏾 Amazing
Glad you enjoyed it!
So much respect for MKBHD. He's a man of morals, and he maintains the highest level of integrity, and professionalism. The way he explains and articulates is so easy to consume, and I think that's his magic sauce and what makes his videos the most influential.
💯
This was an amazing conversation! The last 15mins especially. Well done, Jon.
Glad you enjoyed it! Thank you 🙏
What I love about MKBHD is how natural he delivers his scripts. When you make something sounds like it almost has no script, it's when you get me hooked.
💯
Hats off to the questions.
Thank you for bringing this amazing content to life.
🙏
I love and respect Marques. He's my top favorite RUclips content creator and to learn so much from and about him in the sincerest way is such a joy. Thank you, Marques, for who you are and what you offer to the world. And a big thank you to Jon for putting together this brilliant piece of work, you have put out the most insightful and exciting questions that have made us see more of Marques. Wish you guys the very best in all that you do. Big ups from Nigeria.
Thank you 🙏 So glad you enjoyed it 😊
Criminally underrated channel!! Keep up the great content, love it!!
Thank you 🙏 Appreciate that!
man you are such a good interviewer, i thought i was just passing by this video but i found myself at the end of the video. loved the conversation.
Dude you’re a great interviewer
Thank you Max! Lots of prep haha
i look forward to one day seeing you discuss how you interview prep and other BTS details on colin and samir’s channel, that would be such an interesting crossover
@@youshaeiI bet. “It is supposed to look easy, but it’s not”.
Thanks for having this conversation. Cool to also hear Sean's perspective.
Sorry Colin & Samir, but best MKBHD sit-down hands down. Good job, man. +1 new subscriber. +1 evangelist.
The interviewer did a super job. Very good questions. He did his homework for the interview. Post production is also great.
ive been watching this guy since i was a lil kid in high school. Im now doing my Phd hahahaha and im still watching his videos. Speaking of loyalty!
this kid is highly intelligent! this is a rare breed combo. respect to the interviewer for letting him shine instead of overtalking and trying to take the light
Thank you 🙏 Glad you enjoyed it!
Whenever I'm watching Marques, it makes me feel like that I'm getting smarter in tech category.
I found MKBHD when I was looking to buy my first laptop for school and almost every single RUclipsr was white. and there is nothing wrong with that at all but when I saw his channel pop up randomly I was so happy to see a black man in tech. I bought my first MacBook in 2015 off his recommendation and bought my second one last year 2023 off his recommendation. as long as he's on YT I will be subbed
The thumbnail aged really well
Jon, the trust you’ve built with your guests is so apparent in them giving the vulnerability you seek in your questions. Even if I don’t know the guest on an episode, you make “must watch” videos. Thank you!
Gordon that is one of the nicest comments, thank you man 🙏
Very humble guy
💯
I love how he always mentions his team. I watched Marques making videos alone to integrating and introducing his team....a great journey to witness. Hope he keeps doing great. :)
I like it, he has higher standards than some on the Supreme Court
Jon is a fantastic interviewer! Well thought out questions. Never annoying. Thoroughly enjoyed this video! Made me respect MKBHD even more.
Google Calendar stocks: 📈 📈
Every question you asked was excellent. I plan to watch the first minute and then I don’t know where I checked where I was at at the video and I was on minute 27! Excellent interviewing!
Really appreciate that Bryce 😊 Thank you 🙏
Great video! Good job man. First time watching your channel, already loving the content!!
Thank you 🙏
This was an iconic interview. Intellectual conversations. I couldn't help but watch it from the beginning to the end.
💯
I miss the alliteration at the end of his videos. He's probably the person that got me into RUclips. Love, love, love his videos
What an inspiration Marcus is
A random thing I love about Marques, he produces the highest-quality-looking video for his channel. Even his 1080p looks way more crisp and balanced than most channels.
