The open alone got me to click the like. This is helpful. Would love your to figure out how to set up my home studio with the ability to share a screen and then come back to me the way they do in a webinar.
Do you happen to know what the shelf is that you’re using in the background of the final shot? My camera gear is so unorganized and that shelf looks so spacious. Great video as well :)
Thanks! I've had it for a while but funny enough I was able to find it. I'm 98% sure it's the "72" 5 Shelf Loring Ladder Bookshelf - Project 62™" at Target for $150 USD.
Looks like I'm going to need to invest in some foam board at some point. What were you using to position the board at the right height? I don't think you mentioned where to get the hanging clamp set up thing or how much it would cost.
I was using a light stand with a clamp (really just because I have a bunch of both). You can usually find camps for $1 - $3 at any hardware store (or amazon). I've had some pretty ugly DIY setups in the past using a yardstick or dresser to hold up foam board, but if you want to grab an amazonbasics tripod or cheap light stand (they start around $15) that's the best approach in the long run...I guess that technically breaks the $5 budget but I guarantee it'll be worth it 😅
on a $10 dollar budget. I lucked out and got a mini green screen from Five Below that fit over my chair on sale from $5 to $2.50, a foam board from dollar tree for $1.25 and a super basic phone tripod from walmart for $7. so slightly more than $10 but within budget. If I was spending $50 i'd get the 'social media kits' that come with lights, tripods, etc from walmart or five below. It can be done y'all! just get to making videos!
I would love to know if this set up works on my Canon 80D with EF-S 18-55mm kit lens or maybe I should invest in a little better lens that you can recommend?
Some of my favorite lenses for the Canon 80D are the Canon 24mm f/2.8, Sigma 17-50 f/2.8, Sigma 18-35mm f/1.8, and Sigma 30mm f/1.4. They're all a little different in price, but all will give great results!
The video itself sure is good but the camera is the one thing that is probably very expensive and that makes a big difference when it comes to content creation than say, my regular iPhone 15
There's some good stuff in here, but if someone has a budget this small, they're going to be shooting on their phone, not on a several thousand dollar DSLR camera where they can properly control things like ISO, shutter speed, white balance etc. Also, you didn't show how you're lighting the background in your actual setup, which is what really brings it all together.
I have a problem. I turn off all my room lights, and i turn on my key light, which is a softbox, but the background is too bright, i want more of a darker background, like you showed in this video. How do i manage to do this? Thanks!
Nice. Love the different options given based on budget 👍👍👍
Thanks, it's super fun to see what you can achieve!
Surprised this video isn’t performing better. It’s really great.

Omg wowww that white foam board trick!!!
You didn’t talk about the light in the background like how you set it up to make the stand pop out
Love this. Really helpful ❤

What do you think of the NEEWER 700W Equivalent Softbox Lighting Kit?

What lens did you use in shooting this video? 16-35mm canon or 35mm sigma?
great video!
Awesome fun video. I stumbled upon but here to stay, New sub.

What lens do you use and does it have autofocus?
good stuff 👍👍👍
Thanks ❤
So, show a clip of you filming under each setup.
my bed room is painted red, so should I paint it?
Awesome!!
bro you at least have an expensive camera.
You were amazing! What happened to you? Come back please.

Wow🎉
Next video is where to buy nice looking apartment for 5 usd
S😂
good keep it up
Man this is fucking fireeeeee 🔥
Brilliant advice, but the music is way too overpowering
W video
The first budget is 5$ .. ALSO you can just move your $800 camera back some .
You sound like walter jr. from Breaking Bad.
So its not a $5 setup if you are using a camera over $5
You should have a house or appartmant, not just a room studio honey.
Thanks 🙏❤
