    Finally bud! A RUclipsr that shows what it is they are looking at when recording! I swear you're the first and possibly only one whos willing to show the unglamorous perspective of what it actually looks like. No one ever imagines you guys staring at a blank wall, our imaginations always think it's more like your background.
    Those lights look nice. I use a ring light to my right and hair light back left...but I don't think its diffused enough as my forehead shines a lot! Ha ha

      Hey my friend :) Thank you. This is the ideea of the entire channel, to show you how I do it so you can do it to :) And the reality looks like this. Behind the camera most of the time is a mess :)) I know a ton of creators and 90% of the time is like this. If I don't show the reality, the audience will always think that they can't do it because they don't have the perfect room. The truth is: Nobody does :)) Thank you for your support :)

    Thank you for sharing this. The two Godox ES45s mounted to the desk and bouncing off the white currents/wall is a brilliant setup (pun intended), especially for a small space. The light quality looks like it's from a far more expensive setup. I like the idea of putting your mic on a stand so desk vibrations aren't picked up on audio. The audio setup is probably a little overkill for me, but at least I have a good upgrade path now! I mostly do screen recordings for work so I am using Camtasia for software. It's probably not as powerful as Davinci but it provides all the tools I need for tutorials in one package. Thanks again!

      Hey, glad you like it! And thank you for your feedback. Next week I plan to upload a dedicated video just for lights :) You don't need that much when it comes to sound and also when it comes to video editing software. If you use something now and the results are great, that means you are on the good path. All these are tools that helps up to achieve a result and if you achieve that result with your actual setup, it's great :) Thank you for your comment!

    The 16mm lens is not the best choice of talking head videos, unless you have a tiny distance to place the camera and you just need it. Else, it's unflattering and distorts the face. Something like 24mm - 28mmi is recomended (40-50mm is the optimal, but you need to have a lot of distance between you and the camera which is not doable in small rooms)

    • @GabrielVIP
      @GabrielVIP  2 дня назад

      Hey! You are right! This is useful in small spaces. The thing is that I talk every day with a ton of talking head creators, and 99% of them are shooting in small spaces. I rarely see a talking head creator who is happy to use a 28mm and stay that far from the camera.
      But, yes! If you have space, 24 to 28, it will be great :)

    Awesome video thank you so much! Im moving into a new place and finally have a room for streaming so this helps me out a lot! Just wanted to ask you a question, I live stream 3-5 hours at a time. Does the dummy battery last that long for the camera? Im looking into buying the Sony ZVE-10 but i want to make sure it can handle long livestreams. Thanks again! I just subbed to your channel btw!

    • @GabrielVIP
      @GabrielVIP  2 месяца назад

      Hey!
      The BIG NPF will last but if you make super long streams you can use a dummy battery that connects to the wall and stream as much as you want.
      Also, use a capture card. I use Elgato Camlink 4K and it’s great.

  • @al_ien1649
    @al_ien1649 3 месяца назад +2

    Hi! I'm sure these are stupid questions but I"m new..
    1) If you're recording video to the camera SD and audio to the rodecaster SD, how do you start and stop them at the same time so that you can sync them in post production?
    2) If you're going to use something like OBS, how do you connect your camera to the laptop and also to the external monitor so you can see what you're doing and record to the laptop at the same time?

    • @GabrielVIP
      @GabrielVIP  3 месяца назад +1

      Hey!
      1. You don’t need to start them at the same time. You can sync everything with 2 clicks in the editing software. It's super simple. I showed this in one of my videos: ruclips.net/video/dypYHLtgkQI/видео.htmlsi=64zWRhyJ3yMgqX7o
      2. You can connect the camera to the laptop using a capture card like Elgato Camlink. Connect a cable from the HDMI camera port to the HDMI port of the capture card.
      If you want an external monitor you need one that has an HDMI out not just IN.
      Connect the camera to the HDMI IN on the monitor and another one from the HDMI out of the monitor to the capture card :)

      @@GabrielVIP Yeah, after reading your response I realized my question couldn't be more vague 🤦. First, thanks for replying. Second, I'm trying not to go over $500 for a camera/lens (I know I'm probably asking for too much)
      Going to my setup, right now I have two LED lights, one is a brand-less 25cm ring and the other is an Ulanzi U200. I also have an Ulanzi VL49 RGB. I use a VIJIM LS01Extend with C clamp to hold the lights and attached to it an articulated arm for the phone to shoot the video. The mic is an Ulanzi Arimic Lavalier. All that I got it from Ali Express or Amazon.
      The videos I do are reviews/unboxing of action figures, so the camera is just pointing to my hands and with a black background. So far the phone setup works but trying to upgrade the video quality.
      Yesterday I saw a video for the Insta360 Link 2C, the price is tempting but I would have to get a little monitor like the one in your video to make sure the figure I'm reviewing is in frame.
      I hope this helps, and again thanks for taking the time to reply. Take care.

    Great video thanks! Buying some of this gear with your links.
    Question though, it is unclear from your video:
    Does the dummy battery keep the camera cool? You kind of combine a dummy batter with the rechargeable battery. Is the key thing to have the battery be on the outside (either dummy or regular)?

    • @GabrielVIP
      @GabrielVIP  2 месяца назад +1

      Hey! Glad you like it. Thank you!
      The key is to use a dummy battery because that will not produce heat. A dummy that connects directly to the wall has a transformer outside the dummy that goes into the camera and produces heat but it’s outside.
      And with an NPF as I do, it’s the same thing.

    Hi Gabriel. I have a talking head channel and actually I'm using some cheap lead lights (60 lamps), that are fine but they require that I am always really close to them. I've seen the powerful Neewer 660 led panel. but it has no included batteries, and it is a bit bulky for my tiny living room setup. So I've also seen the Raleno 192 lamps, that has a rechargable lythium battery included and it is lighter. In your opinion, this light could be enough for a talking head setup, in which I'm positioned 1 meter far from the light? Thank you very much

    • @GabrielVIP
      @GabrielVIP  Месяц назад +1

      Hey! I don't think that 60W lights are not enough. Looks like you need a better lens. At that distance from the lights 60W should be more than enough. What lens do you use?

      @vadoaviveredasolo I understand but it's not about the Nr. of LEDs, it's about the power and Lumens. But if you upgrade to a 1.4, 1.8 lens, you will have a much better image in low light, and also that great blur behind you.

    You put your camera in your backpack without a lens cover? 1:11

      Not a healthy example but sometimes yes!
      I have used cameras for more than 12 years and never had even a small scratch. The lenses are not as sensitive as we think.
      And also, on that shot, on the Sigma I have a protection filter. So… worst case scenario… I will have a scratch on the filter.
