I’m going to be doing the same thing soon! Possibly converting the home theater in the basement. Primarily for mixing and mastering and some film scoring though.
First video I ever watched of yours was you doing this all on your own. Now you’ve gotten to the point where you were able to hire a team to help. That’s VERY inspiring man. Congrats on the new space!
I contacted Music city acoustics after watching your videos and colt's videos and I have to say they are amazing ... I did my room down here in Hollywood Florida and is perfect. Everyone that has come love it. they send me all the panels and plans and after the installation I have. to admit it was the best decision ... I super recommend those guys. in other matters congrats on the new studio brother. it looks killer. !!
Hey bro it's Nick B from back in Illinois. Just wanted to say I'm proud of you and all of your accomplishments. I'm very happy to see you doing well in life. You have a beautiful family and an awesome studio! I miss you old friend..keep doing you bro! Happy looks good on you!
As another dude with a basement studio that has low ceilings, I'm absolutely pumped to hear what you can do with this setup. Would LOVE to know what a mere mortal would pay for all the treatment (design, materials, and install).
I’m building a custom home with a large basement studio already in the architecture blueprints but the wall and acoustic treatments are still up for grabs so this video is right on time for me! Thanks 😊
Have been missing your updates, so was really pleased and excited by this. As someone else here commented, one of the first videos of yours i watched was you doing all this yourself when you moved into your other studio. Really happy for your evolution and development, it's been great to watch how your (other) channel has developed and presumably helped support this new one. Great and inspiring work. Thank you, Andrew!
Just finished moving my studio, so the PTSD is still fresh! Packing and moving is the worst! Designing a fresh workflow from scratch and hearing the speakers fire up in the new room for the first time are thrilling, though! It’s worth it! Congrats, and I wish you years of great music in the new spot!
I basically did this too. Pumped thousands and thousands of dollars in. I'm talking big money. Sat down once it was all done and got to work. Took me about 5 years to realize I can't sing, play guitar, mix, record or write a song at all. No money can buy talent. The only thing that has been effective in this whole journey was the pipe dream that led me here.
Your sound probably has greatly improved. Distance from the walls is key, moving to a bigger space is going in the right direction acoustically - whatever the size of the studio is. Incredible job guys, congrats.... and that chimney rips !!
i just moved my studio back home and have been finishing it up for this upcoming project! This looks so good and breathable. I just know it sounds amazing too
A tiny, smol, condensed, real-person's budget version of this is my realistic goalllllll I'm currently building the vocal booth now I have like 1/20th this amount of stuff (or less lol) but gotta start somewhere. This is so cool!
that’s amazing Andrew, i’m also building a basement studio in my hometown in Italy, can’t wait to see the results with my studio and your new one! wish me luck ahahah wish you the best 🤟🏻
This build looks amazing! I have the Footprint 01s in a 10x8 foot room (it's tiny I know), but surprisingly with treatment they sound great! I can only imagine how much better they would sound in a studio like yours
Welcome to the basement club lol. Now feel even closer in terms of setups than your previous studio. Looks amazing! How is the bleed etc from above/sound leakage etc? I know in your first studio you really decided against throwing money at trying to soundproof everything and instead focused on acoustics of the spaces... which I TOTALLY agree is better if there's no bleed issues, or you can work around them well enough?
dude… this is so sick!! ive been watching u since the very first studio u set up, its crazy seeing the progression from then, i hope to end up progressing the same! ur journey is literally the dream journey man, cant wait to see some vids in the new setup, congrats man!
What is that amazing song playing around 7 minutes in? Also, watching someone go from something like your original space to this space is great man. I wish you the most joy a man can have in his studio, at your new spot!
What an awesome studio! Is there a reason why you didn't use Dante instead of the multicore cable? If there are other rooms, you could easily send the sound through the rooms with jsut a network socket :)
So much respect for you man. This gives me inspiration for my life to come. The production of this video is unreal bro. Love the work and I’m here to stick around. ❤️
Congrads on your new studio! That must have been a total blast to build.! Love your videos on other studios. I've spent way too much time watching but I enjoyed every minute.
The old room seems like a cooler dedicated “control” room but the new spaces make way more sense. I would keep the room at your house as a more dedicated control room only and enjoy the vibeyness of it
Hey Andrew, why did you choose the biggest room to be the control room and the other to be the live room? Wouldn't you be able to do more with a bigger live room? Like tracking full bands, strings, etc? Congrats on the new place, it looks and I'm sure it sounds great!
Yo Andrew Love the channel of your own, but seeing a couple Studio Time, even more in Depth.... So great, still learning a lot, since I am treating my own Music/Guitar Room. So big thanks and keep up doing these videos. Would love to see more how your new studio looks like and what new gadgets you are using for optimizing space.
Super nice setup and thanks for the video! Curious to know how much quieter it is in the room(s) above the mixing and live rooms? Any SPL readings before and after? I'm looking at a basement type studio and would love to know how the room above is impacted without going crazy adding mass to the ceilings. Thanks!
really impressive. Thats my dream; when Im getting my masters, getting a good job, still beeing poor bc of buying too many guitars, synths and soundcards, Id wanna build a studio like that
I love this!! I'm just wondering, the drum room, what's the ceiling height? I always read that diffusers only really work in ceiling heights above 4 meters, but it looks much lower? I'm building a drum studio in my garden with regular ceiling height (~2.5m) so just wondering what your thoughts are :)
Thanks for watching - this has been one heck of a journey!
What is the music track at 5:34 ?
I’m going to be doing the same thing soon! Possibly converting the home theater in the basement. Primarily for mixing and mastering and some film scoring though.
@@oneterorristirontom - big shot
@@AndrewMasters Thanks Big up!
Glad to feel like a part of it! Thank You!
I cannot believe the amount of work you've condensed into an 18 minute video. very impressive, love where this channel is going.
Appreciate it!!
I absolutely adore the amount of natural light that still is able to come through
First video I ever watched of yours was you doing this all on your own. Now you’ve gotten to the point where you were able to hire a team to help. That’s VERY inspiring man. Congrats on the new space!

Natural light. Space (SPACE!). That place is awesome. Congratulations

WOW! I absolutely LOVE the way the studio turned out! I'm so happy for you, Andrew!!!!
Thanks so much!!

Congrats! Looks rad, probably sounds even better!
Sounds incredible.
Years and years of hard work paying off. It’s been fun to watch your journey. Couldn’t be more happy for you!!
I basically did this too. Pumped thousands and thousands of dollars in. I'm talking big money. Sat down once it was all done and got to work. haha It's never too late to commit some time to improving skills!
I got emotional while watching this for real, see you evolve your place is incredible ❤ Love from Quebec !
Appreciate it, thanks for watching!
The tracking room shot @13:50 was jaw dropping! So stoked for you to have more windows!! Can't wait for the upcoming vids on this spot
You could also use the pipe that holds the overhead mics to mount a different camera view if you wanted to record a video idea
12:10 is so clean. Looks like he's playing the chord in the background music.
Hi Andrew! Love this new channel. Nice studio also. What about sound proofing? How did You manage?
Amazing. Can’t wait for more videos in the new studio.
Your sound probably has greatly improved. Distance from the walls is key, moving to a bigger space is going in the right direction acoustically - whatever the size of the studio is. Incredible job guys, congrats.... and that chimney rips !!
What an excellent adaptation to an unconventional layout. Congrats on the expansion and partnership.
remodeling my basement currently as well too for recording and mixing. love the inspiration!
Seeing where you came from to where you're at now wow you have Truely achieved The EPIC STUDIO..
i just moved my studio back home and have been finishing it up for this upcoming project! This looks so good and breathable. I just know it sounds amazing too
looks amazing and refreshing! So good to have a bigger space and a tracking room!
Dude!! That looks AMAZING! Congratulations!
Did you make any REW tests? Love to see those
Add the links to the mic clamps and piping for the ceiling mounts.
Graham is that dude. Learned an insane amount of music knowledge from him back in the day
Awesome video! Love the accent wall colors
A tiny, smol, condensed, real-person's budget version of this is my realistic goalllllll I'm currently building the vocal booth now I have like 1/20th this amount of stuff (or less lol) but gotta start somewhere. This is so cool!
This studio build will forever be the coolest short lived studio build of all time ❤😩
I hope you enjoy your new studio 👍🤟👏
Dude, you are living the dream. Nice studio you have there.
Super grateful!
Glad to see you being able to continually upgrading your space
Wow, that is probably what my dream studio looks like! Have fun with this man!
I just completely rewired my patch bay and racks for the fifth time in two years. You're blowing me away with all of these changes.
Great new studio Andrew!! It's a dream for many of us to have that kind of studio. Looking forward for the next videos in that place!! Enjoy! 🤘
Thank you!
those piano shots at 12:20 were so crispy 👌👌
that’s amazing Andrew, i’m also building a basement studio in my hometown in Italy, can’t wait to see the results with my studio and your new one! wish me luck ahahah
wish you the best 🤟🏻
talk about that soyuz microphone, heard about this brand and i’m curious about how it sounds
For sure. This is the best studio I’ve laid eyes on.
This build looks amazing! I have the Footprint 01s in a 10x8 foot room (it's tiny I know), but surprisingly with treatment they sound great! I can only imagine how much better they would sound in a studio like yours

Are you still renting the old house to live in and now renting a second house just for the studio?
Yeah I was wondering too 😮
What is that amazing song playing around 7 minutes in? Also, watching someone go from something like your original space to this space is great man. I wish you the most joy a man can have in his studio, at your new spot!
This is like a dream come true .. just watching it inpired my entire day, thank you 🙂
Really appreciate that! Thanks for checking out the channel
Got any nerd stats of the room measurements? Would love to know how effective the moving gobos are around the mix area
Studio looks incredible! Definitely looks like a great vibe and so much room!!! Gotta go visit sometime 👀
Great new studio! It looks really nice and comfortable to work in. It would have been nice to see some room measurements for the acoustic treatment.
I feel you man, finally using your speakers during the (pre) mixing. All looks great!
Congratulations on the new studio, it looks fantastic! It looks like a lot of fun to make great music there.
Best 18min I've spent watching a video in a LONG time! Great work man! All the best on your journey!
BEAUTIFUL NEW STUDIO 💝
Love this Andrew!!! Congrats on the new Studio!!! Look forward to more great content!!!!
That place looks so incredible! Will be a pleasure to create music in there for sure. Congrats!
I can’t believe you went through all that !😳. Well worth it though. Happy for you Andrew. Enjoy your New Studio.
Awesome dude. Are you renting again or going the mortgage route?
What an awesome studio! Is there a reason why you didn't use Dante instead of the multicore cable? If there are other rooms, you could easily send the sound through the rooms with jsut a network socket :)
Wow, what an upgrade. Very cool.
Congrats Andrew. So happy for you. Your new space looks amazing!

Congrads on your new studio! That must have been a total blast to build.! Love your videos on other studios. I've spent way too much time watching but I enjoyed every minute.
Great video! Can you do a detailed setup tour? Would be nice to know how you did that all.
The old room seems like a cooler dedicated “control” room but the new spaces make way more sense. I would keep the room at your house as a more dedicated control room only and enjoy the vibeyness of it
The only thing left now is platinum plaques hanging on the walls, this looks amazing and ALL THE BEST !
have fun with the new design, so fun to experiment in a new way.. rock on 🤘
Looks incredible and I'm sure it sounds even better! Congrats on the fresh new studio
Nice studio!!! Can you show us your cable routing from input to output/DAW
Hey Andrew, why did you choose the biggest room to be the control room and the other to be the live room? Wouldn't you be able to do more with a bigger live room? Like tracking full bands, strings, etc? Congrats on the new place, it looks and I'm sure it sounds great!
Wow...that gives new meaning to the term "port-a-studio"!

Great looking space! Can’t wait to see/hear the content coming from it!
Super nice setup and thanks for the video! Curious to know how much quieter it is in the room(s) above the mixing and live rooms? Any SPL readings before and after? really impressive. Thats my dream; when Im getting my masters, getting a good job, still beeing poor bc of buying too many guitars, synths and soundcards, Id wanna build a studio like that
Love you new setup. Do you still live where your previous studio was or did you find a new home?
I love this!! I'm just wondering, the drum room, what's the ceiling height? I always read that diffusers only really work in ceiling heights above 4 meters, but it looks much lower? I'm building a drum studio in my garden with regular ceiling height (~2.5m) so just wondering what your thoughts are :)
Fot the cavity with stairwell and the hallway, would some nice heavy dark curtains not be an idea?
Blessings For The New Place! 🙌🙌
so much thanks for this ! nobody knows how much u spend on non-gear things. cables should be ep.02 🙂
Wow! Andrew, this is incredible; congrats! I’ve now watched this rice. Booking a consultation now👍
Congratulations! Would you have kept the Trident given the new space?
Any window treatments in the plans? Keep up the hard work team.
Niiiiiice!!!!! Bro changes studios so much I can’t keep up 🏆👑🏆
Beautiful studio. Making miss my studio junkie days. That song that plays while they were putting in the acoustics?? FIRE!!! Is it a song you made?
