He's got a decent record, on the other hand he doesn't have much of a record over all. Just a handful of projects, some of which he was only a part of.

The Alien was already revealed to have been on earth for thousands of years in AvP and it seemed to be no big deal. On top of the space jockey being a bald dude in a space suit and David creating the Xenomorph in his evil plot to take over the world or whatever.
The year 2120? That means it only takes place 2 years before the first Alien movie. So glad the rumors about it taking place before Prometheus were not true, that would have messed up the timeline so bad.
Not sure how I feel about this. Isn't the whole point of Alien franchise that they NEVER get to Earth? It's literally over for everyone if they do, so this takes away any stakes from the films that has been built over so many years..
They're going to have to good job at convincing us why the Xenos weren't able to infest. I kind of see this ending in a nuke scenario where they wipe the area off the Earth, cover it up, and that prompts Weyland-Yutani's quest to find the aliens in space.

This is going to make zero sense in the greater lore of the series. The other thing is that there's zero threat because we know the aliens will be wiped out because we see Earth far in the future and they haven't overrun it and most of humanity has no clue they exist.
Now, and this is entirely based on the timeline already set, but my hunch is that some of the events of this series sets up how the Nostromo gets interrupted by the company requesting them to investigate LV-426 in the original film, or in the company's eyes, the Nostromo is doing EXACTLY what they sent them out to do, and the shipment being a byproduct/cover story for their ulterior motives. I'll come back to this once the show airs. Either way, it's from the creator of the Fargo series and Legion so I'm HYPED

we basically know now that Alien, Predator, and AvP are internally at Fox completely separate continuities. The things that happened in AvP arent relevant to this show or the original Alien. And ok? All but one of the Predator movies were on Earth. If one ended up on earth once it can happen again. Having an AvP movie on earth didn’t stop them from making a second AvP also on earth. Not really sure why that would matter

However, if the show is going to introduce the Xenomorphs, how can they exist when they were not supposed to appear until the events of Covenant? Edit: I noticed the year in the teaser, now I know that the series will take place after Covenant.

To see them on earth just makes it seem like a reinforcement that there really arent any new ideas. Romulus had a ton of potential,and i thought it was squandered fan service dialogue being given to Andy or the android that looked like Ash,i mean,it became pretty ridiculous by the end of the movie. I think they can do better,and i heavily suggest, people, go back and rewatch Alien 3,alot of people sleep on that one,its absolutely under rated and underappreciated
