No Audio in DaVinci Resolve Fix

Today I came across an unusual situation in DaVinci Resolve 18.6...suddenly there was no audio. The rest of the system was okay, audio played outside DaVinci, I was sure I didn't do anything. The tracks weren't muted or disabled. I rebooted and restarted DaVinci Resolve, but still no audio...What was going on? The fix was found in a more unusual place.

Holy you actually fixed my problem ive had for 2 days and had to stop the entire workflow to fix this issue looking at 30 minute videos and looking in forums and reinstalling drivers and I even resorted to reinstalling davinci twice and updating to 18.6 But this 2 minute video got straight to the point and fixed my issue. Thank you!

I had a different problem . I created a stereo track and couldn't hear voices . I changed the track to mono and I hear them. Thought it could be useful for somebody

I may be late to the party, but I had the same issue and I was using OBS. My problem was even though I had an Audio File, and waves, it turned out that OBS recording itself was jacked so I had to fix that.
To fix it I went here:
Settings/Output/Recording - in here I had to enable all the audio track checkbox options and now I have audio.

mine worked when i cheaked "automatic speaker prefrences"
in video and audio I/O in preferences
