Audi tech here. Although I don´t do bodywork I have access to the body measurements. I´ve looked them up for the RSQ8 which is basically a Urus and the are exactly the same as the ones you have on paper and on the phone. So the right leg of the chassis is definitely compressed because the measurement should be 1110mm like mentioned in the video. I was unsure whether the position of the engine mounts on a regular Q8 differ to the ones on the RSQ8 because the V6 TDI is smaller than the V8 in the RSQ8 but the chassis are exactly the same on Q7, SQ7, Q8, RSQ8 so probably on the Urus as well.
Is the subframe the same? If it does differ, it could have different mounting points. (Isn't the measuring point subframe bolt hole ?) It probably is the same though, because if the subframe was different, it would be to mount the engine lower or further back, and that would skew transmission mounts, driveshaft, half shafts up front.... It would be extensively different. If the hole if for something else, say, lower control arm, it could be different. But that right side leg is bugging me. It seems straight, but it's miles off. Are the rear measuring points absolutely certainly in the right place? Could they have moved, but by magic have retained their distance to each other? This is getting desperate....
@@Ksoism the subframe is 100% the same. If one thing is for sure on VAG cars than that they try to save money on every corner possible. While engineering the cars every part is constructed as versatile as possible so it can be used in almost every configuration. The 7-speed dual-clutch gearboxes in the MLB cars for example are more or less identical in the FWD and AWD configuration. If the car has AWD there is just a clutchmodule that gets bolted on the rear of a FWD transmission to drive the prop shaft. Other than that the transmission is identical. Long story short. They would NEVER build an extra subframe for the Urus or RSQ8 because it would be to expensive. It's the same on the RS6 and the normal A6 the front axle is more or less the same. Because of that the engine of the RS6 is mounted so far forward that you are unable to remove or even see the belt that drives the alternator without at least loosening the cooler package and pulling it into service position.

The O/S chassis leg has been pulled to the left. You don’t always see any damage as such to the exterior of a bent chassis leg. If you think that at point of impact the front cross member would have been bolted to both chassis legs. When the impact occurred it has bent the N/S chassis leg right round but at the same time it has pulled the O/S chassis leg towards the left (they don’t always move equally). I see this all the time as I work in the accident repair industry and have done for over 20 years and we are a structural aluminium Repair centre. Happy to help with any advice 👍🏻

The battery is placed under the floor carpet of the front seats. It should be a lithion battery. They are expensive. You can fit an AGM but then you have to replace the wiring loom aswell. Ow and the 48V is for the active roll-bar front and rear.
Hey bud, so the 48V is strickly for HSG (hybrid starter generator) and for ISG (Idle stop and go) functions. It also powes up electric turbo. It basically powers up components to aid in fuel economy. Then 12V does the regular stuff that we are all used to.
Mat, Urus is based on audi RSQ8. ALso to jump start, it has a lithium ion phosphate battery under the drivers footwell carpet.
