Just want to give a big shout to they guys Austin and Cody with helping me out getting my order setup and scheduling an installation date for a much needed upgrade to the H TRAIN ram 2500
Very informative guys, you’re definitely a valuable resource to the HD truck suspension community. Have you thought about doing any comparison videos on short arm brands? And separately on tire pressure across the various sizes and brands for wear and ride quality?
2014 ram 2500 6.7. bought the thuren sway bar and my rough country steering box brace doesnt fit any longer. i can not find anywhere wha brace to use with the thuren sway bar
The steering in my 14 Cummins 2500 has these weird kinda unstable jump or skips when cornering and hit small obstacles. Hoping the the new suspension I’m getting after will correct that business.
We recommend .05 degrees of toe, and 3-4 degrees of caster. These trucks will typically follow the crown of the road though, which leads them to the right. Does it still pull on a flat area of road?
Very helpful information guys and I appreciate the honest opinions. I feel the same exact way as you guys do about Ford and Dodge. I test drove both spent a lot of time with both of them and I ended up buying the ram for several small reasons but the Ford definitely has more hauling ass power not necessarily towing power.
I’ve got a 2020 F350 Platinum FX4. I recently traded in a 2017 F350 and had a set of the airlift bags. I want to put the same bags on my be F350 ( by the way also have Carli leveling kit with add a pack to rear) but it states that it will not fit a 2020 F350 with FX4 kit. What’s the major difference besides the height from factory, which is same because of leveling kit? Thanks guys!
i just purchased a starter kit for 2010 and i would like to run 37's on stock 17x8 rims for now. What clearance issues will I run into? Do you guys know of any vendors in the Alabama , Tennesse area that you recommend?
What rides smoother on a 14+ Ram 2500 Cali basic level kit with the fox shocks and front springs along with the carli softer rear springs vs the Thuren level kit with softer front and rear springs and shocks. I was thinking using the carli basic level kit and adding the 1/2" drop rear thuren springs. Then again keeping it all one brand probably would be best. Just the goal is not really lifting or leveling, more about getting the smoothest ride possible with reduced load capacity not being an issue.
The smoothest ride is going to come from a full 3” system, meaning lift coils on all four corners. With Carli or Thuren, the lift is necessary to get more suspension travel, and thus a smoother ride.
Thanks for the quick reply , That might be a problem fitting it in the garage if it were 3"s taller. It is close now on stock suspension wearing 34" tires. Of the level kits or minimal lift options which is the smoothest riding Thruen or Carli or a mix of both?
I have a 94 RWD IFS ram 2500 CTD and was really surprised when it developed death wobble. Would hit a bump at highway speed and it would throw the front end into a feedback loop jostling the parts through their free range of slop. Steering wheel violently jiggling back and forth. Absolutely no way to get it to stop other than to slow down to a crawl. Very unsafe, no meaningful control of the steering in this feedback loop. After the first time, it started happening very regularly. My mechanic swapped lower ball joints and which essentially stopped it. Just wanted to throw in my story because a lot of people have narrow explanations of death wobble that don't include the full range of cases. From what I can tell, it's just a feedback loop in the free range of motion of the front end slop, there are various causes and solutions, and it's certainly not as straightforward as some folks make it out to be.
We usually just recommend doing a nice shock package to help with sway since a lot of that is from the poor factory shocks! www.cjcoffroad.com/collections/suspension-systems-23
Great video guys! I'm running a 2in BDS leveling kit with a Readylift adjustable trac bar with zero issues. I still would like to go with the Carli 2 1/2 coils but I have the 6.2 gas and I can't see how the coils would work with gas or diesel on the 2017 Super Duty. Just feeling skeptical I guess.
Hello and thanks for the videos! I have a 2019 F250 Diesel - I want my F250 to be like your 2018 F250 when it grows up - 😁 But I like getting 18-20 mpg's (Stock) and when you said 15ish with 37's 😣🥴 Would a tuner, like the SCT help - power back and fuel improvements or does the pedal commander really work - do you have either on your F250 or something else? I measured the height of my tire 30.5 and running a 37 probably 36 height, is 4 to 5 inch difference, so I saw your video about not regearing and it made sense, but is this where you lost your fuel mileage? Hope for some good advice 👍 Sorry your brother likes dodge lol

I had a 17 ram mega cab 3500 and took off my BDS leveling kit with BDS track bar and Fox shocks and fox steering stabilizer and now I purchased 2020 ram mega cab 3500 can I fit my kit but buy your coils 2.5 and use my shocks and everything else?
You can re-use the track bar and steering stabilizer, but you'll want the Carli shocks with the Carli coils so the length and tuning match. It's also worth saying that the Carli track bar is a MUCH higher quality bar than BDS, so you may want to upgrade that too at some point!
@@TimGtmf There is an updated DATB-1419 part number. If it is that one it will fit on the 19+ trucks. If it was from a couple years ago it will not clear without some bracket modification on a 19+ truck.
Buddy Pacheco You can go drive a brand new truck 50k miles in a year, and if the parts prematurely wear, then yes, you can get death wobble on a new truck. But off the lot, no you should be fine
Thanks for another great video but now I want a new track bar. I have an 05 2500 with 172,000 km on original track bar an a 6” lift with real death wobble. 💀
The first thing to check is going to be the bushings to make sure they aren’t blown. Next check the adjustment point to make sure it is locked down properly.
You need a 2.5-3” level, a track bar, and Thuren or Carli high clearance control arms. To fit 37s on a Ram you also need a 8.5-9” wide wheel with +18 to +25 offset.
The front suspension on the GM trucks is extremely limiting in terms of ride and travel, so you basically have to start over if you really want big gains in performance. It's possible, but far outside most owner's budgets. With the solid axle Ram and Ford trucks you can make huge gains for way less money!
If we answered all of the several hundred questions we get each time the videos would be 10 hours long! Just comment here or shoot us a message on social media and we’re happy to answer!

With the factory wheels you will have heavy rub on the control arms when turning, and need to do trimming of the fender liner and fender. To fit 37s on a Ram you need a 8.5-9” wide wheel with +18 to +25 offset. The factory wheels are too tucked in and cause arm rub. We recommend a set of the Carli high clearance control arms to clear 37s on any of the older control arm Ram trucks.
Props to you guys for being honest about 'running the parts you have and not wanting to ram parts down our throats'.

Will the Thuren kits work with either the Carli or Synergy radius drop brakets?

They offer that in the 3.25” height systems. Same thing, but slight changes due to the platform.
