      @@nareshangelia-sookrajjr.1365 I owned a Ram with a "lifetime" powertrain warranty. It was entirely useless marketing, because people don't understand how a warranty works. Warranties cover defects, not wear and tear items over the long-term. The dealers got fed up trying to explain the difference between normal wear and actual defects to customers driving trucks with 150k+ miles, so Chrysler just dropped the "lifetime" warranty policy for a standard X year / X mile warranty.

      Been around trucks a long time, Capt. A.
      Not sure the 2013 up F150s are worth having,
      Also the 5.4 is problematical. Most light duty
      American trucks are retro engineered to meet

    First of all, this was a fun video. That said, who in their right mind would be off roading (especially in Moab) an HD truck? And if you do you would go with a Tremor or a Power Wagon or whatever GMC/Chevys version of that is. And you go with a gasser not a diesel. Next, all three of these are capable and it comes down to personal preference and pocketbook. And as many have commented here, the cost of these trucks is out of control.

    I know the Ford is the most capable, best looking, and will hold its resale the best, the Chevy as always is a blueprint rip of the Ford down to the area 51 blue, but the Dodge you have to respect for being original... even though Dodge by definition means to avoid I would still drive it!

    I've had far more time in a superduty off road but I had a HD2500 for a number of months(all work trucks). The HD hood is hard to see over, is my worst gripe, the comfort on road is a little soft off road. None of which are a deal breaker but I lean slightly ford. Both are great trucks though. The real question is since you're stuck with the dealer during the warranty period. Which dealer near you is going to treat you right? That can be a wide delta from area to area.

    That Ford is a beast, but that GMC is beautiful. I’d be happy with either. With the Ram - if your down 130HP and have a lift kit but no rear diff lock, you’re doing it wrong. Maybe if I was towing constantly the ram may be better. Cummins and 6 speed is decent for longevity and mileage. If I was to buy one (Stock of course), I’d drive test drive the F350 first, then make sure I test drive the GMC second - then I’d sign the paperwork. Really like that GMC.

    Great video, only test that was not accurate was fuel mileage. The Duramax would have been closer too the other 2 if it hadn't been the only truck that raced every quarter mile race. The ram and for each only ran 2 passes, the duramax ran 4 which probably accounts for most of that extra gallon.

    18.2mpg with 1200 ft/lbs of torque, 500 hp and high elevation, all with a lift, bigger tires, and extra weight is honestly pretty damn good. At sea level my 2014 silverado with 3.08 gears and the 5.3 was getting 24.6 mpg, and it only had 355hp and 383 torque.

  • @peteblackburn7850
    @peteblackburn7850 3 месяца назад

    I could be wrong, but from the order the tests were shown. I'm not sure they accounted for the additional diesel use for the Chevy/GM when calculating the MPG. When they all filled up, the Chevy/GM had used more fuel. But I don't think they accounted for the fact that the Chevy raced both a standing as well as a rolling 1/4 mile against both the other trucks. It raced twice as often as either of the others, which would account for the difference in fuel consumption.
