You guys need to realize that the larger Tire actually is a disadvantage when figuring crawl ratios. For every rotation of the tire you travel further. Andre needs to do a little research
Exactly what I was thinking ! I can't believe none of these guys thought about that... A smaller tire would actually act as a reduction ratio factor, not the opposite like they're saying ! What about idle engine RPM, that makes a huge difference as well !
@@10dannyp89 To an extent, yes, but a torque converter doesn't ever actually disengage. The stall speed is the point of maximum torque transfer, but as long as the impeller is spinning, the turbine will be under load and trying to spin. I agree! Later this year when they can option out the tremor like that it will make a sweet video! I kinda like the extra height and 35s on the tremor with that 7.3!
I have the 2022 PowerWagon 75th anniversary and that disconnecting swaybar is a game changer. 37's from certain offroad tire manufacturers will work fine with factory suspension. Not all 37's are the same outside diameter. I replaced teh suspension with the Carli/King Pintop system and radius arms and with locking front and rear diff, it's untouchable.

It all comes down to what you are going to use the truck for. I bought my 2019 power wagon knowing that it was going to be used for fun and not work and I love it. And as far as fuel economy and towing, I can get 17.5 mpg hwy and tow my 32ft travel trailer averaging 12 mpg with out any problems.
I appreciate the comparison. Perhaps next time just a bit more snow and ice on the first test with the rocky incline. Some upper New York country driveways have more snow and ice.
Yea, good gas mileage for big honking trucks. One thing everyone needs to keep in mind before they pick on the ram for fuel mileage is that the diesels make up for the low cost at the pump when it comes repair time. The cost of maintenance and repair on a diesel drivetrain is awful compared to a regular gas engine. I like a gas engine truck for the practicality.
Diesel Life no hate but the tremors 80k powerwagons 64k so if they were to drop another 16k in the power wagon they could make it look nicer and give it more options
@@nolenpelaj3229 68K for the one they have here. But you could get a Tremor for about 62k MSRP for a Lariat Ultimate 7.3L gas engine. 66K if you add the Lariat Sport package as well, making it very well optioned. Just taking off the diesel engines in the GMC and Ford will more or less make the prices equal. Kinda silly to penalize the two that offer a diesel for price (when including the diesel engine) against the one brand that won't even offer it. So basically these can all be the same price when configured as a gasser. Of course these trucks are silly anyways. I just don't see why one would want an "off road" truck in a 3/4 ton. Just get a jeep project and use the HD truck to tow it. At best I guess with an offroad trailer maybe you can overland the entire rig to some places.. assuming those places have a space acre of land to turn the setup around.
In order to disconnect the sway bar you need to rock the truck from side to side not forward to back, the mechanism is bound up from the weight of the truck and the actuator that pushes the plunger to disengage the sway bar is spring loaded so it will pop out as soon as pressure is relieved.
Fun video. I'm on my second power wagon. I've had the 2012 PW with 5.7 hemi and 4.56 rear end. Now I have the 2016 6.4 hemi (MDS) with 3.73. The 5.7 with leaf springs and 4.56 rear is a far, far better than the 6.4l 5-link coil sprung. The 6.4 is garbage and the PW is way, way too heavy for the MDS system to work. My 5.7 was 14s MPG. My 6.4 is 10-11 MPG.
Amazing video guys, just great! Keep doing that great work!

What did you expect from these guys lol
It is all about where your torque converter starts to engage. Not a shock that it hits at lower rpm in a diesel.
@@10dannyp89 good explanation, thanks for bringing that up !
@@10dannyp89
To an extent, yes, but a torque converter doesn't ever actually disengage. The stall speed is the point of maximum torque transfer, but as long as the impeller is spinning, the turbine will be under load and trying to spin. The gas engine, with its higher idle, would actually put the most power through the converter at idle.
I want to see the gas Tremor with the optional winch vs the Power Wagon!!! Then we can talk head to head
Vincent Orona How so, the Power Wagon was clearly the better off road machine.
I agree! Later this year when they can option out the tremor like that it will make a sweet video! I kinda like the extra height and 35s on the tremor with that 7.3!
GT500 I did, you need watch again without bias. The Power Wagon performed all off road functions with more ease than the others.
I’m the end the Powerwagon has the pure off road suspension and front locker & axle disconnect when it’s working lol
Leonard Russo First time I have ever seen one not work. Didn’t need it anyway to beat the Ford and Chevy.
Why do I keep watching TFLTruck? Because you guys always seem to be having fun and really enjoying what you do. More smiles per hour!!!! Thanks again!
Not really….
This is the ideal hd off-road truck whilst keeping it a good on road vehicle.
I wish GM and Ford still had a manual 4x4 shifter like the dodge does.
You can get that as an interior option. Also manual locking hubs it still a thing for ford as well
Agreed. 4 on the floor just feels right
I love ram trucks
I have a power wagon myself. The power wagon is the only one that still has the mechanical linkage for the transfer case. The other rams may have the level but it's still electric shift
The st have floor shift manual
I love when Andre says "torque."
And Toyota lol
@@rexcarlson3464 or Djuramex.....which is interesting to me, because i'm from middle Europe and we have soft D, T, and this i never happens to me, but i do other English mishaps, some people laugh, whatever, i'm just glad they happy :)
What about turning radius for these three trucks? Also, I'm impressed with the PWs MPG. Thank y'all for that.
Andre you are a good sport. You all should try pulling a disc harrowing implement . Like the farmers use to till the fields. I remember a neighbor using a Jeep to finish doing the job because his tractor broke down.
I understand that the weather limited what you could do but calling that an "Ultimate Off-Road Test" is just a tad disingenuous...
Lets see the Power Wagon vs the Jeep Rubicon Gladiator vs the Colorado ZR2 to see how the different size trucks with front and rear lockers compare, make it happen Steven!
Throw a tacoma in there too.
@@h0ot3r you can get a front locker in teh taco?
@@KoolCordell i dont believe so but they are still a great offroad capable truck. And NJ one of the longest lasting trucks there are.
great video...better drama than hollywood fiction. Love your videos...TFL BABY !!!
I owned three power wagons and used them for work in the oilfield, these guys have no idea what the power wagon will actually do!
My favorite truck, but the sucky payload prevents me from buying...
You guys are amazing! Woke up on this beautiful, Saturday morning, made espresso☕, and relax to this Heavy Duty adventure. Thanks for the vid, leaning towards that TREMOR, 19mpg, on a Snow Storm? I'll take it.
I'll take the GMC. Both are great though
And 35 inch tires too
@@MrSupersaiyangoku GMC is preferred by me. Ford and Ram is pretty good too
It all comes down to what you are going to use the truck for.
Great review/video! Thanks!
So... I'm impressed with all of the mileage numbers. All 3 exceeded my expectations. That's awesome.
@@appalachianpatriot183 no argument there. Diesel fuel would have to be 1/2 the price of gas to make it even… so it seems.
Been waiting patiently for this one for a while...
TFLoffroad: "Only One Rules"
TFLoffroad at the end of the video: "jk lol they all rule"

Great video and good comparison of technology
damn that tremor look way too good best looking truck ever
Great video guys. As always very entertaining and informative.
Ngl I love the look on all these trucks and they all have their ups and downs and pros and cons
I absolutely love this channel
DANG I LOVE THESE VIDEOS, Saturday morning enjoyment great work team
Thank you for watching!
All 3 are nice trucks. I think the Tremor will out sell the other 2.
Ram has looks but the tremor does too with more power options
@@jamesanderson562 If the Ram was color matched I'd agree. The plain plastic grille on the power wagon/Rebel looks super cheap to me.
I think gm will sell out, just because. Though if we're talking ALL versions of the f250 then yeah the Ford will win
I have seen the GMC HD AT4 in person and it looks like a tank. it's amazing.
I get 14.5 mpg in my Ram 1500 with a 4” lift and 35’s…. Glad to see nothings changed going higher lol
Picking up my AT4 tomorrow
Your all videos are so amazing good keep it up👌👌👌👌👌
