Recently lost my job and watching Trixie has given me the mental break I need. Seeing two people who really love each other take on big things is very joyful.
I always talk about interior design that is "curated", and I really think Trixie has that. Every little detail feels very unique to them as a couple. There's such a difference between a space that is just designed with a bunch of monochrome stuff from expensive retailers that's just thrown in, and a space that actually FEELS curated and reflective of the people that live there. There's such intentionality with every single little detail from the bird salt shakers to the stained glass. It's so satisfying seeing someone with money actually spending their money in a way that makes their space beautiful, classy, unique and stylish!
It's so amazing how Trixie went from a trailer in the midwest to a beautifully renovated house in the hills. And she worked HARD to earn money, recognition, love, fans, all of that. It's genuinely super awe-inspiring.
This house, the woodwork, everything. I am so in love with it not being one of the million-dollar box-upon-box-upon-box-looking homes. This house has character and looks like it's from the 20's. Just gorgeous! That woodwork and placing the stained-glass! So cool!
What a beautiful home. The decor is fabulous. The stained glass peacocks were amazing. I love everything in this home. I love how it is not what you would expect a home to look like. Its gorgeous!!
That Rose Quartz kitchen is EVERYTHING. The most amazing kitchen I've ever seen. Bravo! The entire house is giving me new life goals. Thanks for sharing.
The moment I saw those rose quartz countertops I had MAJOR anxiety about the natural light fading the color, but lo and behold the kitchen windows are tinted so. Bless. Anxiety immediately eliminated.
Trixie style/brand is so widely known and appreciated. An idea for next season: work with designers/contractors to renovate multiple lgbt+ homes, each episode is a different couple and their home (similar to fixer upper- where they go to joanna gaines because of her style preferences). Budget comes from the homeowners and you do the designing etc
A rose quartz countertop! Now that's a dream kitchen reno! And the heavenly staircase with crystal gem lighting! Just wow! Also, I love that they did custom stain glass windows. This is how you spend big money well.
is it weird this is making me emotional..i’m just so happy for trixie :,) being able to design your dream home and have it be fully engulfed in your personality is a dream. i am so so proud & happy for ms. mattel!!!
Loved that you "listened to the heartbeat of the house" and kept many original elements intact. But can we talk about the rose quartz crystal countertops and all that dreamy stairway drama? Absolutely obsessed!
*If you're curious about the fireplace* "Ernest Batchelder was an artist and educator who became a leader in the American Arts and Crafts movement and a prominent member of the Southern California arts and cultural community. In 1910 he built a kiln in his backyard at his Pasadena residence and began the business of creating hand-crafted art tiles, which in a short time became hugely popular."
What a gorgeous home. I love the wallpaper, the lighting fixtures, and that you kept a lot of the original fixtures and woodwork. The stained glass peacock windows are stunning. Loving Trixie's look here, too. Serving Jayne Mansfield realness.
I adore the portrait of Trixie and David! As someone who also grew up poor, Trixie’s honest delight in what she’s been able to achieve for herself is so fun to watch. You deserve it sweetie. Enjoy
I love the stairwell. It's so dreamy. I also like that they kept the original wood in most places. It's so tempting to paint everything white so that it matches better, but I like the contrast of the dark wood with the more "feminine" aspects of the house.
Love how Trixie 's trashy Wisconsin upbringing cane out when she said "hot & cold running water" from the kitchen sink like it was a rich person thing!!! 🩷🩷🩷🩷🩷

I was never expecting an all pink kitchen to be that beautiful. That counter looks amazing.
one of my favorite things abt Trixie is her mentioning David and 9/10 times either saying “my partner David” or just simply “David Silver” 😔
Unhhhh has me trained to expect an image of a blowup doll whenever David is mentioned 😂
Or Mr. Silver. I always like when she mentions him by mr. Silver. It's like she's mentioning her husband
Harry Hamlin... David Silver... 😉😉😉 the greats 😅😅😂

@@Valravne728 LOVE THIS!!!
As an interior designer and architect, they did an outstanding job on this. Everything is so thought through and extravagant, yet simple. I love it
It's all hideous . The kitchen is done well the rest isn't.

This house, the woodwork, everything. I am so in love with it not being one of the million-dollar box-upon-box-upon-box-looking homes. This house has character and looks like it's from the 20's. Just gorgeous! That woodwork and placing the stained-glass! So cool!
yes !!!!
What a beautiful home. The decor is fabulous. The stained glass peacocks were amazing. I love everything in this home. I love how it is not what you would expect a home to look like. Its gorgeous!!
i love that some rooms are unabashedly maximalist in their design, while others (like the bedroom) are paired back and super serene.
Best of both worlds 😅
That Rose Quartz kitchen is EVERYTHING. The most amazing kitchen I've ever seen. Bravo! The entire house is giving me new life goals. Thanks for sharing.
I appreciated how she shouted out everyone! That's called being grateful.
I’m in love with how colorful but not gaudy the spaces are. Mixing patterns has always scared me but this is absolutely beautiful. ❤❤❤
Season Three should be Camp Trixie. An outdoor campground vibe for the ultimate adult summer camp experience.
I would love an adult summer camp lol
I know she's mentioned it in the past and I think that would be so cool!
Brandon passing off the clapper while hiding behind the pillar I CAN NOT.
The moment I saw those rose quartz countertops I had MAJOR anxiety about the natural light fading the color, but lo and behold the kitchen windows are tinted so. Bless. Anxiety immediately eliminated.
I just 🩷 the ENTIRE House, IT is SO very UNIQUE & PRECIOUS❗️
That kitchen is REMARKABLE. Trixie has SUCH a hood eye abd such an unserstanding of light, shape, and color.
Trixie style/brand is so widely known and appreciated. An idea for next season:
work with designers/contractors to renovate multiple lgbt+ homes, each episode is a different couple and their home (similar to fixer upper- where they go to joanna gaines because of her style preferences). Budget comes from the homeowners and you do the designing etc
Queen eye for the queen folx?
💕Trixie 1960 themed diner💕
Like.....COME ON GIRL.
How could you be more on brand?
And the dishes could have Drag Queens/Drag History names/references
This is leading to Trixie land.
That's season four. After Camp Trixie. :)
THIS
*If you're curious about the fireplace*
"Ernest Batchelder was an artist and educator who became a leader in the American Arts and Crafts movement and a prominent member of the Southern California arts and cultural community. In 1910 he built a kiln in his backyard at his Pasadena residence and began the business of creating hand-crafted art tiles, which in a short time became hugely popular."
When Trixie and David smashed the tile, a single tear rolled down my cheek. I am currently restoring my batchelder fireplace and it's so tough 😭
@@rebejs I had to turn it off and take deep breaths but we're okay. We're safe now.
@@oaklandcookie SAME. I had to get up, look at my fireplace, get a snack, and circle back 😂
They ARE beyond gorgeous beyond beautiful and make a craftsman home. ❤️😉
What a gorgeous home. I love the wallpaper, the lighting fixtures, and that you kept a lot of the original fixtures and woodwork. The stained glass peacock windows are stunning. Loving Trixie's look here, too. Serving Jayne Mansfield realness.
The tears over having a day named after her totally took me out. I’m so happy for her and David!
Wait, what? A day named after her? Did I miss that part lol
@@ferndodd yeah - in Palm Springs! The Mayor came out to announce it at the Motel Anniversary!
I remember when Justin Tranter posted about this home being featured in Archdigest just a little over a year ago. So cool!

Trixie, you and David have done such a beautiful job on your home. I hope during your break you get to enjoy the years of hard work you’ve done to get here!
The Pink One So Glamorous 😍😍😍
I really love how many artists and craftspeople you commissioned to help with the house, and then gave them shoutouts here
i so badly wanna just see this house being casually lived in like just a vid of trixie using the music room or something 😭😭 obsessed
I'm completely obsessed with the motel already, so imagine how excited I was to see your home! It's BEE-YOU-TEA-FULL! Truly! I'm so happy you & David are living the dream xo
I adore the rose quartz countertops! Rose quartz emits properties of healing and love. Lots of love in your house!
If you squint, you can see Katya
decoupaging in the background
The disco ball above the pool is amazing
I feel so bad for the neighbours though, hopefully it's not reflecting into too many windows haha
Many blessings to you and David on your lovely home! May you spend many years there in love, laughter, and peace! Love ya!
That gemstone light fixture in the stairwell is so beautiful it almost made me cry. GORGEOUS GORGEOUS GORGEOUS!
"Sounds coded to me" 9:44 LOVE that remark.
So many crazy colors and patterns that’s surprisingly more green and animal print than Barbie pink! Now you just need a pet bird for real to match all the bird memorabilia! You bought the house, you deserve a bird!
The green wallpaper was already there, but its got little birds
@@bustedkeatonin the show they add the green wallpaper with birds to the living room. It was originally supposed to be pink, that’s what Trixie talks about in this video. They kept the closet and bar wallpaper which is greenish but doesn’t have birds. Anyways Trixie should still get a real life pet bird!
@@ellelliosI don’t think Trixie will get a bird, David doesn’t like them, and it is his home too after all.

I love that this is the free version of the HBO Max series
a bar/restaurant would be actually amazing.
can you imagine a final episode with the bar fully functioning with Kennedy Devanport performing ?
that would be fierce.
YEEESSSS the speak-easy and silver bar would be so cute 😩
This literally inspired me to the point where I just added "buy and decorate my DREAM home" to my bucket list. As an artist, I have never seen a more beautiful home. The healing properties in the rose quartz, the disco ball and palm tree fortress backyard, just everything.... I am truly, truly inspired and in awe.
Even the stairwell!!
I love the house so much. There’s something so comforting when you can truly make a space yours. The show was a joy to watch and I only found out about it from RUclips shorts of all things!
Legitimately the best AD tour I've ever seen. "Real AD" MISSED OUT.
It really makees my heart swell for Trixie/Brian. Real rags to riches. She really worked hard to get to where she is now. And she needs to take some more time for herself and David and enjoy the fruits of her labor.
The tv show was great but it was so fun to hear you talk through the house more freeform on youtube. You totally got the home you deserve, it's utterly fantastic.
Oh, I am SO down for this house tour. I just started watching and I was so in awe over your beautiful living room that I had to pause and comment. It made me gasp, it's so gorgeous.
I'm a total home decorating geek who dreams of doing stuff like this and I can already tell that this is going to be one of my go-to Trixie comfort videos. You have incredible taste, I love it.
I'm glad you have your dream home, Trixie! 🙂
While I'll never be able to purchase a home in this country.... so glad I could help you buy yours :)
