🤣 This series is a hoot,1 nail biter ,1 budget buster, 1 responsible buyer, you all bring your own chemistry to the show, Roman's the luckiest one of them all, he gets to spend $$, spot, watch them scrap, scratch, and hear Andre's pain every rock he hits , and Nathans oh this'll need a little momentum down goes his 100 pound right foot as he smiles cresting the rock face , and Tommi just cruising along in the 99 4Runner making the other 2 look tired rolling up the hill with ease, Roman had the birdseye view of it all, the best spot in Moab, it has been awesome, Tommi wins, since you started this series, I looked for a used 200k plus mileage Toyota in Canada ,particularly a 4 Runner and they are out of reach and reason and some bodies looking like Swiss cheese , when your done maybe I'll make an offer on the 99 4Runner Epic video👍

I have a 2000 4Runner I bought from my ex-wife, (she bought it new), and the first thing I did was remove those running boards. I gained about 6" of clearance in 30 minutes. Then I did do a 2" lift with Bilstein 5100's and OME springs, Falken 285/70/17's on Level 8 aluminum 6 spoke rims, SPC adjustable upper control arms and a front diff drop. I wish they would do a few actual mods in these series, especially with rigs under budget.

that big A tundra is awsome and the 4runner bit a lift kit on that tundra would have been great but it was funny seeing it get all scraped up.😂

A similar series comparing the tundra with other full sized trucks over 200k but less than $10k would be a good watch.

2k to paint hood and roof! I took my hood to bare metal primed and shot in few hrs and like 100 bucks in materials. Acualy did whole truck in red with body work and in around 8-900.00 and not rattle can but base/clear. Even in shop rates ID Say 850-1200 to do respray on hood and roof.

If you want a super reliable all rounder and capable of doing whatever the Bigger LandCruiser can do but budge friendly then definitely the 4Runner is the best option.

Love this series, the tundra has been the most impressive so far. Toyota’s are great, but over rated IMO. Was in debate when looking for an overland vehicle to build. 4Runner, Grand Cherokee, Cherokee, or 1st gen Durango.
    4 runners $7-10k Durango $2.5k
Bought the Durango, $1250 in repairs needed and some maintenance items. And probably $3000 in upgrades. I saved my self probably $3000 -$5000 just by not falling into the Toyota fan boy club. Lol

The last test should be what they resale the Toyota’s to see if they lost money or made money

The Early Tundras have a known defect, the airpumps , I spent a fortune to replace them on my 2012 and I am only at 70K miles.

Paid 6k for a brilliantly running 235k GX470 that would comfortably execute these challenges.
Honestly most impressed with the Tundra for it's size and length it somehow manages pretty good performance. They can fit such large tires compared to a 4r too that I think it'd be a serious competitor with a locker and a tire

the coolest cars we can buy instead of buying 1 latest series limited anything, even financing 1. You can get 10-15 vehicles that would probably last last than the 1 limited latest series anything car.

wife just sold a 2006 Tundra with front end damage SR5 with 137,300 miles that never had any real maintaince done to it and was trashed inside by a smoker for $5,800? Her son has a medical problem and can't drive.
