Lots of good info! I recently added the Carli Pintop system to my 2020 PowerWagon. I added the Carli radius arms and the upper steering stabilizer as options. I HIGHLY recommend the radius arms. I offroad quite a bit and really push my truck. 2 days ago, I turned onto a road and landed in a 4' ditch with the passenger front and back tire. I was amazed at the articulation and the ability of the system to keep the tires on the ground and get the truck out of the situation. It's expensive, sure. It's that one upgrade that pays off every single mile you drive.
Just got my Carli kit in with King Pintops. Very excited to see what it does for my Super Duty. I drive a lot of rough roads on the oil field and want to do some overlanding with it.
@@ppk2823 basically stock ride on normal roads. Smooths out pot holes and you can pretty much just ignore RR tracks. Overall better, but on the hwy you still know you are in a 3/4 ton. Def not an F150 ride quality.

I own a 18' Raptor but think the Carli systems are well engineered and they do their R&D on the shock valving and valving is king for performance. I got the the commuter kit on my 4thgen ram. I love it I fall under the weekend warriors so far the kit has handled everything I have thrown at it. Best bang for your buck
i was thinking about the same setup for my ram but it says it gives only 2 inches up front and 3/4 more in the rear with the taller springs so wont I still have rake in the front? or is it leveled out?

Pineapple does not belong on Pizza, I do like it in some drinks though. I also do not like Dodge hence getting rid of my 2016 1 ton for a 2018 Ford F350. I installed the Pintop 2.5 leveling kit and I have to say that first of all the Kings Shocks are monsters. I love this setup. It rides absolutely wonderful on the road (better than stock, unbelievable but yes) and it really shines off road. I haven't gotten the rear leaf setup yet and not sure I will. I am very happy with my Ford and Carli. A shout out to Kacey for the help
Gary Diefenderfer, Broker Better than stock? Does that mean that contrary to what many others say, you wouldn’t want to go back to stock for any reason? Nothing whatsoever??
Awe man you got to try thin crust pepperoni, pineapple, with Franks redhot, dipped in ranch. Great info thanks for the video I have a dodge 2500 with some slit front end wobble starting to happen. I have owed a lot of straight axles won’t buy anything else.
I have a 2.5” lift for a 2016 F250 question… is there any difference in body sway on turns between stock vs commuter vs back country? Example if I take a turn doing 50mph, where I am used to the stock driving characteristics, will a commuter feel the same, more planted, or feel like it’s going to tip over? And the same question for a back country over stock and commuter. Thanks!
Dan is always badass talked to him a couple of times on the phone..... and I agree I love my 3rd gen. my 5th gen did nothing but blow up and break so when Carli came out with the dominator for the 5th gen.... I choose to lemon the 5th gen and brought the unchained instead.
I enjoyed the Q&A video related to Carli suspension packages. I've been looking at the Carli suspension for quite a few years now... |I have the 3rd generation 2007 Mega Cab with 5.9 cummins turbo diesel. I need to do both the Suspension upgrades and body work. I don't think I'd look anywhere else for the suspension parts then from Carli. I would consider swapping out the 3.73 gears for something like 4.10 or more to accomodate a 35 or 37 inch time height. In Canada it's challenging to find body parts and given there were more Mega Cabs in the USA then Canada I was wondering if the body parts are easier to source from the USA...? I'm talking the front fenders, rear box and panels for the rear quarters or possible a cab in great shape with no rust....? Also, the Mrs. like's pineapple on pizza. For me it's not that important. But sometimes we do things to keep the Mrs happy. Any comments would be appreciated.
Since a lot of the body parts are shared across the Dodge Ram platform of trucks, it isn't too hard to find body parts in salvage yards. Google will be your best friend on that front.
I purchased a new 2024 Ram 3500 Dually with air bags. Only change I made was exchanging the bed to a work skirted flatbed. When u hit an approach to some bridges my worker and I about get thrown out our seats. My 2013 or 2008 duallys without airbags did not do this. What can I do to resolve this bucking issue?
If I’m hungry, I’ll eat just about anything, including pineapple pizza. I’m from NY, so food in general is like religion and pizza is where many businesses are made or broken. Pineapple seems to do well in a cocktail. Dan’s tech details were spot on and helped me better understand the brand. He’s also a good speaker and formidable rep for the company.
Im bummmed out. Bought all carli front end. And a synergy drag link. And i cant even get an alignment cause my dually is too heavy with the welder in the back.
Really the only thing to check on these trucks is toe and caster. We recommend trying a different shop. You can also read our tech article on alignment tips here: www.cjcoffroad.com/Articles.asp?ID=258
Why does the truck drift to either side in the first place? I keep hearing in CJC videos that the truck on the highway steering tends to drift to the right?
Great Video. Thanks. Just one question; I've been looking at the AEV products as well for the Ram HD. AEV goes into detail about how they maintain stock angles with their lift/suspension systems. Do the Carli products maintain that stock angle as well?
Stock geometry is absolutely maintained with Carli products. For hard off-road driving, the Carli systems are a superior product. The AEV suspension is good, but can't come close to the performance of a Pintop 2.5 or Dominator system from Carli. Feel free to call the shop and we'll be happy to walk you through everything!
Which would be the best kit for my 2018 f250 FX4 package (gas). I drove mostly on pavement with some off road here and there. I want a better/softer ride quality.
Check out our website for everything offered for your truck, but based on what you said a carli level, commuter, or back Country system would be a great choice.
so would it be a good set up on a 2006 f250. to do the 4.5in coil springs with the backcountry fox shocks.. and keep factory leaf springs in the rear along side the shocks?
Very informative. So for overlanding and riding around with a rooftop tent on the bed of my 2015 cummins, it's recommended I go with a 2.5 pintop? I'm still confused on what to do in the rear...I have shocks and factory air assist. Do I go with upgraded kings inn the rear and leave the bags or do I go with kings and remove the bags for coils instead?
Removing the factory air bags will leave you with a full time light on the dash. I would recommend getting the newer Carli Pintop leveling system, We also pair that setup with a slightly longer air ride rod sensor matching the air assist rear height to that of a standard coil 2500. This allows for a level ride height and excellent ride!
this covers alot to when I get my ram cummins.. thank you for breaking it down for us... now! as for the pineapple.... I dont think pineapple should be on a pizza... and then name it a Hawaiian pizza.. because pineapple has nothing to do with anything Hawaiian.. but it taste good...lol
I know there's a hundred brands out there that could ask for these kits to be manufactured for but I want to know if Carli ever plans to build kits for my 1995 Land Rover Discovery 1. They used the same platform for the series, d90, 110 and range Rover classic. So it's not just a random kit. It would cover a huge list of Land Rover trucks. And I know it's out of the question but what about my 2006 GMC Sierra 2500hd with the lbz setup? I love pizza and pineapples but I will not eat both in the same bite. I actually will pull the pineapples off and eat them separately.

This guy is going on saying how all there lifts kits have all these extra hardware parts that makes the truck ride better but if you look at what comes in there kits its the same shit that comes in the bds, fabtech lift kits...?
Driving one of these trucks is the difference. Carli goes above and beyond in materials quality and shock tuning to prodive a ride that is far beyond what BSD and Fabtech offer.
The coil buckets on the older Fords can be removed via their rivets and a new mount tilted on. With the Rams the buckets are welded on. That makes it extremely difficult to index and mount a coilover mount for your average joe in their garage.
