You should do a video where you explain the benefits of each of the add on options for the carli suspension systems, and the cons on not choosing each particular option.
I have a 17 F350 Limited and put the commuter system with the add a pack on the truck and the ride went all to hell. Not sure if there is something else that needs to be done to get the great ride you guys talk about. As of now, it is the biggest waste of money I have spent on a truck. Good job on showing the difference. Once I get my Ford tremor. I will definitely be looking for some suggestions and recommendations. InPre order a 2021 Ford Tremor king ranch will have the winch as well. Thank you for the video. Very informative
The tremor actually has almost identical ride quality to a standard 4x4 Super Duty. We broke it down in a different video, but the Tremor suspension is not special in any way and offers very little ride quality improvement off road when compared to a fx4 or standard 4x4 Super Duty. A Tremor would handle exactly like the stock truck in this video did.
CJC Off Road - do you have any idea how much the new gas kits will lift a TREMOR? I know Carli lists the kit at 3” on their website but I’m sure that is for regular Super Duty trucks. Great video guys! I'm now obsessed watching all of your videos and making lists of future purchases (from CJC)! Curious, how would the Carl suspension Pintop 2.5 king leveling kit work out in these locations?
We appreciate the support! The PT level handles well, but the factory rear springs definitely hold the truck back in comparison to the full pack shown in the video! It’s still very capable though.
If building/ordering a new F250 with the intent of upgrading to a Carli suspension, should we order a straight stock 4x4, or are any of the added options helpful - camper package (heavy service front springs/rear aux springs), etc? I'd like to avoid paying for hardware that will be removed.
Essentially avoid or consider any suspension option as a not essential part. Things like lockers or a winch that might come along with the Tremor package for example are useful though! The other thing to consider is that adding something like the camper package may get you the upgraded rear axle housing, which is a nice thing to have. Basically read through the packages carefully to make sure you get what you want, but assume all suspension parts will be removed.

That is a VERY heavy caper to put in the bed, so you’ll want to keep the truck as low as possible with a 2.5” Carli system and then do a custom rear leaf spring pack from Deaver.
Great video! What are your thoughts on this suspension for a stock 2022 F450? We just picked up our truck a couple of weeks ago and we'd love in improve the ride both towing and not. I don't think we can lift the truck since we tow our home (a large fiver toy hauler) and any added height would make us unlevel or too close to the bed rails...
I know this is an old video, but fleece makes a fix for this, now that yall are getting into the fords, even if yall don't do much to the engine. Fleece makes a fully california legal fix for this, which adds a lock to the fuel line and may save yall when yall are going offroad.
I would suspect you lose some towing capacity with this Carli suspension. With the addition of airbags...how close are you able to get back to the advertised stock towing capacity?
There’s several options that we covered in the video. With the full pack shown in this video, you retain 85% capacity. If you add the right airbags to that, you keep full capacity and keep ride quality. If you do the Carli add a pack leaf option, you also keep full capacity without the need for bags. The full pack option without bags will ride the best.
After making some serious money on DOGE. I will be buying this set up for my 2020 f250. But one question that I can’t seem to find is I have a f250 with heavy duty package which gives me a bigger differential and more springs in the rear. What package do I need for the springs???
I noticed the 2020 test truck was the stock 4x4, are you seeing the same results with the "FX4" upgrade? I'm thinking the $400 upgrade basically covered the skid plates and box decal. They were supposed to be upgraded off road shocks as well.
We have rear leaf options specific to trucks with in bed load and campers, as well as shock tuning to go along with it. This Ram build is a perfect example of what we can do on a Ford or Ram truck with a camper: ruclips.net/video/wPor-tpt9Lg/видео.html
Thinking About a new 2021 F250-F350. Is your suspension better than the Tremmer package. I want locking front and rear diff. At this point, ford does not offer a front locking diff. Help. By the way, I first saw your suspension on the new TFL truck.
The Tremor suspension is actually the same as a Factory 2018 F-350 in terms of performance, so a tremor would look just like the white truck in this video! The Carli suspension is a MASSIVE step up from factory ride!
I’d like to see what suspensions are available for f-250 3/4 xlt 2021 I work in oil&gas in midland Tx and New Mexico really rough lease roads and rough highways also is there repair shops in these areas ?
I work in the oilfield and some of the lease roads I drive down are down right horrible. Im really looking into investing in this. I pull up to 18000 trailers in my truck. How does this hold up to the weight when I'm pulling?
To a point, but you at least need to run the base coils/shocks along with the necessary supporting parts. Obviously the more you add, the better the ride
@@CJCOffRoad Fantastic. I just bought fox 2.0 shocks, Fox steering Stabilizer, and has 3 inch leveling kit. 4 inch. Block in rear springs and it's like riding in a bulldozer. In your professional opinion, what top 3 things I should change?
My stock, unladen 2019 F450 Cab and chassis 4x4 on the floor 205" V10 6-speed was brutal on smooth pavement. Any ripple in the pavement and you need to brace yourself. The 19.5" commercial tires suck and there is no wheel travel stock. Almost none. I think it's 5" in the front and it could be 5" in the rear as well, I don't know. But you're not going through any of that travel with no load on it. It might as well have no suspension, because if there's any hairpin or off-camber roundabout, it will lift one rear wheel and spin. I removed two of the rear leaf springs, and added Solastic Shackles. I would say those two things dampened noise from the rear by about 15%. I'm having my 2.5" lift Pintops installed now and 38" Ridge graps in 13.5" 20s to fit over the huge brakes. I got the Carli sway bar and end links and basically everything a 2.5" lift needs to run 38" graps. That should be a major breakthrough in comfort for a cab and chassis - even more so than upgrade for a pickup F450, which already came with pretty comfortable, low pressure tires. I'm going from 85 pounds min on the commercial tire, to 65 max on the Ridge grap LT tire. And going from duallies in the rear to super single rims from Hutchinson that are reversible front to rear, so you get maximum wear out of the tires, because they can be rotated effectively.
Ford needs to see this video and do something about the inadequate suspension setup for even basic ranch work. I don't see how the stock F350 could handle driving around on my Montana property, what the hell ? Seems surprising incapable.
In that case you’ll either want to use the factory leaf pack on a F-350 or do a custom leaf pack from Deaver designed for the weight. The latter option is definitely the preferred route!
37s themselves don’t make any more noise than a smaller tire. Tread pattern is the only thing that changes noise level, so just pick a quiet tread design and you’re set!

Got a 3.25 for my 3500 ordered through you guys. Making its way to Australia
Great video, you make me want one setup like that. 😃
That's it, I'm bookin in!!😎
I would suspect you lose some towing capacity with this Carli suspension.
Do these two trucks have the same engine, trans and axle ratio? If so how does the miles per gallon compare, real world? Thanks...
Where did you guys shoot this video? Location is awesome!
It's shot all over So Cal!
Can you let us know where specifically the videos were shot ?
After making some serious money on DOGE. I will be buying this set up for my 2020 f250. But one question that I can’t seem to find is I have a f250 with heavy duty package which gives me a bigger differential and more springs in the rear. What package do I need for the springs???
You have the F-350 rear springs, but they’re the same parts as an F-250 for either the Carli add a pack or full replacement leaf pack.
Hey guys! Do you plan on or have any info on some lighting options for the 2019 Ram 1500s? I wanna get some of the squadrons in the fog light bezels.
I noticed the 2020 test truck was the stock 4x4, are you seeing the same results with the "FX4" upgrade? I'm thinking the $400 upgrade basically covered the skid plates and box decal. They were supposed to be upgraded off road shocks as well.
There’s unfortunately no upgrade in suspension performance or shocks with the Fx4 or Tremor package.
Did you burn the stock truck afterwards?
Excellent vid.
How does this affect cargo capacity and how would it handle a truck camper?
Wheel size, offset, level of trimming required?
Any shops in Denver you recommend? Also how much should one expect to pay for install of these kits?
I work in the oilfield and some of the lease roads I drive down are down right horrible. Im really looking into investing in this. I pull up to 18000 trailers in my truck. How does this hold up to the weight when I'm pulling?
Just fine! There’s lots of options for whatever you need to do with the truck on the Super Duty platform!
So can I just piece meal a Carli suspension? Like buy the components I want and achieve somewhat the same expectations? Carli?
To a point, but you at least need to run the base coils/shocks along with the necessary supporting parts. Obviously the more you add, the better the ride
@@CJCOffRoad Fantastic. I just bought fox 2.0 shocks, Fox steering Stabilizer, and has 3 inch leveling kit. 4 inch. Block in rear springs and it's like riding in a bulldozer. In your professional opinion, what top 3 things I should change?
No doubt the suspension is better but a better test is with the same tires and air pressure.
Cool video... what is the offset on Cody's 17in wheel?
They are 5” backspace which is around +1 offset.
Slowspeeds army has arrived
If you think this is bad you should see a new GM truck in the dirt!
Lucky that 2020 didnt catch on fire.
Thankfully diesel doesn’t ignite as easily as gas so it wasn’t much of a worry. Everyone went home reeking of diesel though 😂
R.I.P. CP4 after that fuel line came off
Take my money
How does Carli compare to BDS ?
what size rims were on the white truck.they looked likr 20s other one looked like seventeens.
How would the Carli be for supporting a truck camper, around 2200lbs loaded?
In that case you’ll either want to use the factory leaf pack on a F-350 or do a custom leaf pack from Deaver designed for the weight. The latter option is definitely the preferred route!
Can u help slowspeeds out with suspension for his truck ???
What is the interior noise like in the Carly F250? Has the suspension insulated the body from the added noise of the 37’s?
37s themselves don’t make any more noise than a smaller tire. Tread pattern is the only thing that changes noise level, so just pick a quiet tread design and you’re set!
Hi CJC, Do you guys recommend or work with any shops in the Tampa, Orlando FL area ??? Looking to buy some of your kits for my Ram 2500 5th gen and I’m looking for a quality shop to do the install.
We have a few shops we work with in that area: Extreme Performance (Lower Central), American Muscle Performance Dan Grimm (Southern), Ostar Motorsports (Central). Hope that helps!
