I went with Thuren, which CJC also sells. I threw the whole catalog at mine. Shocks, springs all the way around, track bars front and rear. More compliant sway bar. Truck handles and rides incredible for a 3/4 ton.
I’ll be picking up my 22 Power Wagon with my new Pintop installed on Sunday. I optioned both the high and low mount stabilizers, diff guard and the radius arms. I’ve been wanting this package for a long time. Finally pulled the trigger. I’m in Sask as well so I’m looking forward to a much smoother ride while I’m booting around the backroads.
@@akathedude3266 It’s running great!! I knew it was going to make a difference, but I didn’t realize just how much of a difference it would make. Hammering down the side roads of Alberta and Saskatchewan is awesome, railway crossing have become a new favourite. So well mannered on and off road. Love the system, well with the investment.
@@TheHouse_of_D level or 3.25? hows the in town driving? our Mb roads are pure shite!!! now you are making second guess myself and go for the pintop too!!! hhahahaha
@@akathedude3266 All I can say is the Pintop is something special. Blasting down the side roads here in Sask is kick ass, and the handling on the tarmac is much improved over the stock set up. And not by a little bit, by a huge margin. The ride is awesome, and you know those bloody railway crossing, I look forward to them now!! It’s a substantial investment, but it makes my truck way more versatile. It even increases my bed payload as my Power Wagon has pretty shitty payload from the factory.
I have a 2020 Ram 2500. I put on the Carli level kit plus track bar and sway bar. I can not speak highly enough about the improvement. Mine is a “pavement princess”. I use it as a daily driver and to pull a 11,500 lb travel trailer. Before the upgrade it rode like a complete POS. Now it may be the favorite truck I’ve ever had.
Great shocks in the warmer weather but the seals will blow out when its his minus 30 for extended periods. They are made for warmer weather. I've had 2 sets and same issues leaking shocks and reservoirs. So I Went to Bilstein 5100's.
Fluid film over everything, than don't wash truck just apply more as needed. Looks like hell come spring. But only reason my 2007 has pretty much no rust and is still around.
The external or piggyback reserviors don't do much for smoothness. It is mostly the valving. The reserviors get you more oil capacity and a little more surface area for cooling to allow longer duration of rough stuff. Also reserviors allow more travel for the given length.
Get the deaver springs and shackles and it is next level!! The flex and bounce control are flat out amazing!! If you tow heavy they have a long travel air bag that matches or exceeds factory capacity. Carli is fire!!🔥
Carli Coils are really nice. I have a 05 2500 4 inch lift.with Carli front Springs and Ball Joints with Bilstein Shocks with reservoirs Front and rear and Synergy T Style Steering and Track Bar from CJS. And the ride is Amazing! So much better ride then when I bought the truck New! This was a great video for You to post. There are a lot of really nice parts out there, But not all will give You a nice ride! You really have to do Your research in my opinion. Appreciate your videos keep up the great work!⚡👍
Haf a great experience with CJC also. I was gonna do the backcountry but decided to just do a regular level but use the extra momey to do their swaybar and track bar upgrade. Totally happy. One thing is once youve got some tires with big sidewalls and air them down if not hauling, the ride gets buttery smooth.
I have a thuren lift on my 2007 5.9 with 37''s no fender flares or mud flaps with 5 inch straight pipe for the last 10 years now... Been pulled over at least once by the RCMP, CPS, Sheriff, DOT, fish and wild life. And other than a complement once lol. I'm surprised i've never gotten any tickets yet?. and Calgary's a pretty liberal city too?
😂... Right guys good comparison.. I live in northern MB.. we have permafrost and with that comes speed bump wherever pipes are under the streets.. can't wait to do my own comparison 😊
Honestly, just say no to tire poke period if you want to avoid being hassled. It's like tire poke is the cue to check your truck. Without tire poke you can get away with all kinds of mods without being hassled.
I have the same truck carli level kit and 37” tire The ride with stock tire sucked specially the shifting on tranny it almost feels like these trucks need bigger tires to shift good lol now you can’t even feel the shifting love my truck
Hey there Ontario here looking for the same style set up for my ford. What sway bar option did you go with? Also for the block in the back I don’t see it as an option on cjc. Did you just call for that? Thanks man
Very informative video. I live in Canada and I am considering the same kit for my Ram 2500 now. From the video, I see you do see snow during the winter months. How is the shock handling snow salt so far? Any corrosion or rust on the shock? Thank you.
2500 coil spring set up to 3500 leaf spring set up and the two have totally different coil springs up front. You cant really compare the two accurately.
Keep watching the video, first truck i compare it too is a 2500, second truck is a 3500 just like mine. And regardless, If a guy who owns a 2500 is saying my 3500 rides better shouldn’t that mean something?
Should have went thuren fabrication over them. Don’t worry you still can 😅. At least check out his rear trac bar kit. Basically the best and even Cjc recommends it.
Issue is thuren stock is hit or miss depending. Where as you can get a full kit from CJC in almost as fast as the payment goes through Personally I didn't wanna wait 8 months for anything thuren
I have the Carli Pintop King 2.5 and it's absolutely amazing... it's a totally different truck. This thing feels like it's floating on marshmallows. Over 10k for wheels and suspension... but worth every penny.
I cant believe the pig gave your buddy a ticket here in canada!!! Sask is just like alberta as fsr as i thought cops dont give 2 shits about dpf and all that crap!!! Im in bc and just picked up a 24 f350 plati that i wanna delete. Now im reconsidering!!!!

My issue with all the shocks is the small bumps and the after shake. The issue I see is they are all over sprung under dampened.
