@@thedredayshow9246 it's possible but there is a misconception. The virus from the meteor isn't the absolute origin of stands. I think the reason he'd hypnotize his "mother" and not others is fairly simple. His space ship is orbitting in space so while he's on the ground he needs a place to stay.
The thing that convinced me that Mikitaka is definitely an alien is that the stand "Planet Waves" (the meteor stand from Part 6) was originally called "Earth, Wind, and Fire" until a reader pointed out that he already used the name for Mikitaka. The fact that this is the only time Araki has accidentally reused a stand name makes me believe that he doesn't consider EWF a stand, ergo, he's an alien. Or I'm reading too much into things.
I think he just forgot about having called mikitaka's ability/stand earth, wind and fire. I say this because in the story he never used that name to begin with. He only gave it a name in a databook
I think that the mom could have been brainwashed so that he can live a normal human life, as in she’ll provide for him and keep him in a house, show him human life etc, but he doesn’t actually care if other people know
I honestly, legitimately think that not even Araki has a canon answer. I genuinely think Araki was like "what if I put a joke character into Jojo where you can't tell whether or not a Stand user with a delusion, or an actual alien." He then purposely gave him characteristics and wrote in story beats that would make it ambiguous. Since he's not real, there doesn't need to be a "real" answer, and I think Araki relied on that to make his character even more mysterious. Maybe if Araki decides to incorporate Mikitaka in a future chapter of Thus Spoke Kishibe Rohan, he might retroactively give us an answer one way or another, but as of the entire writing of Part 4 I seriously think Araki does not have an answer, and intentionally wrote things to go either way.
If he was pierced by the arrow and gained a stand and that’s what caused him to fall unconscious, then him waking up and immediately having full control over his power makes me believe he had those powers before
Yeah, having an awnser isn't interesting. It's just a quick "oh that's the truth". But leaving the question unanswered makes him a very interesting character

Around a year ago I convinced my friends to watch JoJo and one of them just straight up refuses to believe that Mikitaka is an alien, cuz the vampires, Aztec gods of fitness, and all such are perfectly acceptable but space aliens are too far

While not being a form of living organism, it is still a form of alien non-living organism... That should be taken into consideration.
I think the 100% reason he HAS to be an alien, is we have seen NO ONE else resist the arrow at all, it can easily pierce and transmit it's power to humans, but Mikitaka seems to have some form of (at least partial as he did not mention gaining any new abilities) immunity to it, that the virus itself seems to be unaware of. I think he may honestly be related to the pillar men in some way, given how similar their abilities are.
I like to think that somehow him and his mother are both telling the truth in some regard, like he's a half-alien born on earth who WISHES he came here on a big flying saucer
i feel like araki wrote mikitaka in a way that even he doesn't know what he is, because he doesn't need to if the purpose of the character is to be a mystery
You know, his only drawback with showing them the UFO is it would take 3 days. You'd think Josuke and Okuyasu would be more than willing to wait that long, just to get confirmation it exists.

My personal interpretation is that since the stand virus is from space and he is also from space, his species has the proper immune response to counter the virus, hence the stand arrow not piercing through and only getting sick for a short time. It’s the same reason why he has abilities similar to a stand, but he’s not actually a stand user so he can’t see other stands.

Also to add to this, since I can't edit my comment. He would believe himself and his power to be Alien similar to Jotaro in part 3 believing he was posessed by a curse/ghost. That is probaply how a normal person would react to being the only one with such powers, especially when having them from birth.
Doesnt make sense why would he still insist on the idea of being an allien if he saw other stands neither why he seemengly couldnt see them in the first place
I like to believe that At the final scene where all the characters say goodbye to reimi he has no idea who she is and cannot see her, yet is trying to fit in because he wants to make friends in this new town
I always thought that if Mikitaka WAS a human, his sound allergy could be a weakness to his stand, since it’s part of his body. I also never thought of him genuinely believing he was an alien, I always figured he was either telling the truth or being a silly teen, like Kaido from the disastrous life of saiki k or something
7:00 but if he's pretending to not see the stand then he would have to know that stands aren't visible to non stand users. He hasn't been told what a stand is by this point so he would have no way of knowing they're invisible. So he must be legitimately unable to see them.
I love your content. It's very well done and shows attention and care from a true fan, and it's a fun way to look over Jojo content with your fresh informative content with interesting trivia.
And since we know Stands also come from an extraterrestrial lifeform that gives ppl some kind of sickness they have to conquer basically it's possible that stand illness manifest differently for him I love the ambiguity 😂
I always just believed he was an alien since he could eat all those stuff casually and that wouldn't be a stand ability if his stand allows him to transform
We saw him talking whit Mikitaka in a This Spoke Kishibe Rohan chapter, i think it was the one where Rohan tells a story of him going to a chruch. Mikitaka is sitting on the table whit everyone and Rohan asks him if he's truly an alien, he doesn't seem to be interested on using Heaven's Door since Mikitaka is willing to share his story.
I like to think that his father was an alien. But his mother was a human. He probably had these shapeshifting powers the entire time. But didn’t know until after the arrow had hit him. The arrow possibly being able to awaken his abilities but now being able to do than what he could do originally.
a small theory is the jojo meteor that was mined by enya and diavolo that meteor could have fallen from a planet or something that mikitaka was born on or has been to so it affects him differently because it comes froms his planet
Mikitaka is a shapeshifting alien, and Polpo is from the same kind. That's how he's able to turn into a bed and prefers to be locked up, away from all the noise on the outside
I had a random idea that if Mikitaka is an alien than that might mean he is a descendant of Kars. Hear me out we haven’t seen him for a long time and in universe he was gone more than a hundred years also Mikitaka show the ability to morph his body. Also another reason why I think so is that probably while he was going through space he ended up crashing into a planet with an alien race were he then conquered and had a good amount of children that then over the years Mikitaka would be born. It sounds crazy but when you think about it kinda makes sense.
6:00 sirens, electric razors, blender, watshing and dryer machine sounds used to give me that soje reaction when i was a kid, it was torture, but ill guess im just an alien 👽👾 instead of having autism.
If the Omnitrix from Ben10 existed in Jojo part 4, then we would not need to have this discussion. We would simply have to have Mikitaka scratch it, and if it scans his DNA, and a human is able to turn into him, then we would know that he is indeed an alien.
I’m still a fan of the idea he’s Kars’ son, and that he made up his backstory because he doesn’t know it, so he made it up based on what seems most plausible. Unbeknownst to him, he’s got a subconscious trauma from his father to loud sounds based on the volcanic eruption which launched him.
I never considered him not being an alien, however I've always been interested about his ability. It doesn't seem to be biological since he can change his skin itself into other materials, so I always assumed its probably a mutation from the virus that created earth stands, being different enough where earth stands can't be seen by him, and perhaps his stand has a physical form that human stand users can't see as well.
Alternate third possibility: what if Mikitaka is an amnesiac Kars, or a part of him? Consider: - His shapeshifting abilities are similar to those seen in Ultimate Kars. Kars has even been shown to be able to have parts of him become separate creatures - Mikitaka believes he's from space and that he has a spaceship orbiting nearby, but what if he's just remembering that there's a part of him still IN space and misinterpreting that as his spaceship? - There are parts of Kars, such as the piranhas he used to attack Joseph, that probably didn't reattach to his main body before he was launched into space. What happened to them when he "stopped thinking"? Could they have later rejoined and become their own lifeform? This doesn't explain the allergy to sirens or his "mother", but it's still an interesting thought, right?
The one connection not brought up in this video is the potential that Mikitaka's race could be the origin point for stand abilities, which we know come from a space virus. It could be the idea for that was already in Araki's head at the time and Mikitaka was some cheeky foreshadowing to the origins of stands.
It's important to remember stands arrows are made from a meteorite, so their powers come from something outside of Earth. I like to think that Mikitaka is an alien, Araki had the origin of stands planned out from the beginning, and he used this character to foreshadow what we'd learn in part 5. Mikitaka could've come from a planet where everyone has unique, stand-like abilities, and the meteorite came from that planet.
In this part alone we are introduced to Mystical Arrows Mutated monsters Ghosts/Demons Alternate dimensions I dont see why an alien would be so far fetched
I mean he said the arrow technically gives you a virus and the material the arrows are made off arent from earth and mikitaka says hes an alien so its likewise the arrow when cut him gave him the stand virus but his alien immune system killed the virus
The ambiguity is the point and I personally find that aspect to be one of the best part of him. Is he an alien? Does he just believe he is one? Is he just playing around the whole time? In the end, it doesn't matter as he's just an enjoyable character.
I mean, I trust him.
He seems pretty trustworthy
He's the next reliable guy!
I wouldn't, he seems like the kind of guy that would only give me 6 dollars

Maybe hes got a stand that doesn't let him see other stands. Stands can have crazy conditions.
@@yusukeelric that is true
Imagine if Araki naming Westwood stand 'Earth, wind and fire' was him forgetting he had never revealed Mikitaka was an alien
“No human would have a reaction like this,” as someone with autism, no, that’s about how I react to certain noises as well.
I was gonna say, there are definitely people with sound sensitivities like that
Enough to break out in hives though?
same
Reasons to believe he's an alien: It's funny
Reasons to believe he's just LARPing: It's funny
Nah, he too cool to not be alien.
Is therr anyone cooler than him?
I like to believe that At the final scene where all the characters say goodbye to reimi he has no idea who she is and cannot see her, yet is trying to fit in because he wants to make friends in this new town
Araki taking advantage of his series's style to confuse people for 30+ years is honestly one of the coolest thing I've seen a writer do.
Before watching the video… I think yes!
I don't wanna limit myself to thinking of them as either an alien or a stand user. I wanna believe that they are Mikitaka and that's it
- "Alien"
- Shape-shifting
- Strong reaction to certain sounds
- Has once been worn by the protagonist
i think its funnier to imagine hes just a regular dude who REALLY commits to the bit
This is what I love about JoJo's there's tons of mysteries none of them are major or NEED to be answered but just exist out there.
I never thought about it much since I assumed he was a joke character

There was obviously some sort of plan with the, for lack of a better term, pointy eared people in Jojo's part 4 and 6.
Source: I made it TF up
Or Polpo turning into a bed and his "bizzare" appearance in part 5.
@@ChaosAngel9151 Yes, it’s called speculation.. you contrarian little douche.
Jojo was release in 1987, the same year Junji Ito published his first manga, the two are the start of the 3rd and last Boom in Horror manga
7:00 but if he's pretending to not see the stand then he would have to know that stands aren't visible to non stand users.
He hasn't been told what a stand is by this point so he would have no way of knowing they're invisible. So he must be legitimately unable to see them.
The real question isn’t if he’s an alien or not, it’s if you would put him in the blunt rotation or not.
That Araki quote about Morioh is fucking hilarious considering Part 4 is the one with the biggest spinoff.
Part 5 is
I love your content. It's very well done and shows attention and care from a true fan, and it's a fun way to look over Jojo content with your fresh informative content with interesting trivia.
Further proof that Part 4 has the best cast as even the minir characters have a lot of depth compared to other parts.
Great video. I'd love to see you make a similar video on Diavolo and Doppio.
And since we know Stands also come from an extraterrestrial lifeform that gives ppl some kind of sickness they have to conquer basically it's possible that stand illness manifest differently for him
I love the ambiguity 😂
Honestly, the fact that they never outright answer the question at all is my favourite thing ever. It’s like “He could be, idk”
I always just believed he was an alien since he could eat all those stuff casually and that wouldn't be a stand ability if his stand allows him to transform
Idk but his drip is out of this world
Rohan could just use his stand and uncover the truth
but we may never see that happen
We saw him talking whit Mikitaka in a This Spoke Kishibe Rohan chapter, i think it was the one where Rohan tells a story of him going to a chruch.
Mikitaka is sitting on the table whit everyone and Rohan asks him if he's truly an alien, he doesn't seem to be interested on using Heaven's Door since Mikitaka is willing to share his story.
I don't think even Araki knows whether he's qn alien or not. If he does, he's definitely not telling
I like to think that his father was an alien. But his mother was a human. He probably had these shapeshifting powers the entire time. But didn’t know until after the arrow had hit him. The arrow possibly being able to awaken his abilities but now being able to do than what he could do originally.
I literally finished rewatching part 4 yesterday, this was legit one of my burning questions during it.
a small theory is the jojo meteor that was mined by enya and diavolo that meteor could have fallen from a planet or something that mikitaka was born on or has been to so it affects him differently because it comes froms his planet
Perhaps the stand virus meteor from part 5 is a fragment of his planet and the stand virus is just a regular flu to him
Mikitaka is a shapeshifting alien, and Polpo is from the same kind.
Been a hot minute since I've seen a vid from yah. Nice work as always
i love how we end up right back where we started in this video. one of the many reasons why part 4 is goated
GUYS, WAKE UP ! There is a new Hamon Beat video
6:00 sirens, electric razors, blender, watshing and dryer machine sounds used to give me that soje reaction when i was a kid, it was torture, but ill guess im just an alien 👽👾 instead of having autism.
An alien stand that attached itself to a human.
If the Omnitrix from Ben10 existed in Jojo part 4, then we would not need to have this discussion. We would simply have to have Mikitaka scratch it, and if it scans his DNA, and a human is able to turn into him, then we would know that he is indeed an alien.
Now that just reminds of JoJo stands being Ben 10 alien meme.
@@TheNightTyrant Nice
People out there wondering why he's allergic to sirens if he's a human
Man like the series has BIZARRE in it
I’m still a fan of the idea he’s Kars’ son, and that he made up his backstory because he doesn’t know it, so he made it up based on what seems most plausible. Unbeknownst to him, he’s got a subconscious trauma from his father to loud sounds based on the volcanic eruption which launched him.
But what about the iced creams?
So the yokai could just be aliens who came to earth but had kids with us?
I never considered him not being an alien, however I've always been interested about his ability. It doesn't seem to be biological since he can change his skin itself into other materials, so I always assumed its probably a mutation from the virus that created earth stands, being different enough where earth stands can't be seen by him, and perhaps his stand has a physical form that human stand users can't see as well.
The funny thing is there are other characters that look more alien than he does yet its never questioned what they are.
Alternate third possibility: what if Mikitaka is an amnesiac Kars, or a part of him?
Consider:
- His shapeshifting abilities are similar to those seen in Ultimate Kars. Kars has even been shown to be able to have parts of him become separate creatures
- Mikitaka believes he's from space and that he has a spaceship orbiting nearby, but what if he's just remembering that there's a part of him still IN space and misinterpreting that as his spaceship?
- There are parts of Kars, such as the piranhas he used to attack Joseph, that probably didn't reattach to his main body before he was launched into space. What happened to them when he "stopped thinking"? Could they have later rejoined and become their own lifeform?
This doesn't explain the allergy to sirens or his "mother", but it's still an interesting thought, right?
1:41 Next chapter when Usagi successfully recreates an MRI it'll be a point of The Matte Kudasai over Earth Wind & Fire
IT WAS 30 YEARS SINCE RELEASE AND WE STILL DON'T KNOW
The one connection not brought up in this video is the potential that Mikitaka's race could be the origin point for stand abilities, which we know come from a space virus. It could be the idea for that was already in Araki's head at the time and Mikitaka was some cheeky foreshadowing to the origins of stands.
everyone is asking, "Who is Mikitaka?" But nobody is asking, "How is Mikitaka?"
He seems happy.
Sure why not he can be whatever he wants I’ll believe him. Another hamon beat classic great video man
He could of been born on the planet stands are from so he has a different version of it and can't see Earth Stands as they have changed over time.
Finally, someone asking the question.
In this part alone we are introduced to
Mystical Arrows
Mutated monsters
Ghosts/Demons
Alternate dimensions
I dont see why an alien would be so far fetched
I mean he said the arrow technically gives you a virus and the material the arrows are made off arent from earth and mikitaka says hes an alien so its likewise the arrow when cut him gave him the stand virus but his alien immune system killed the virus
I could have sworn you uploaded a video just like this before
Id love to see you do a tier ranking of every stand in jojo. Also please do one oiece and hxh when the new chapters release
Mikitaka could use his stand to make it look like sirens give him hives
Freakytaka is one of the best friends you could have. He's really reliable.
"Is Mikataka an alien or just a weird guy with a Stand?"
"Yes."
i love you hamon beat
"The answer to that question is easily maybe."-Ask A Ninja
The ambiguity is the point and I personally find that aspect to be one of the best part of him. Is he an alien? Does he just believe he is one? Is he just playing around the whole time? In the end, it doesn't matter as he's just an enjoyable character.
