Disney went cheap and used 66gb discs instead of 100gb discs, tsk tsk! With disc we all want the best bitrates possible!
Nothing beats physical media
FWIW, Return of the Jedi was shot with a diffusion filter which adds to the softness of the movie compared to the previous films.

That’s weird. Out of the 4K fan transfers, Return of the Jedi is by far the sharpest
Shane always putting out quality content with consistency. I wish I had that kind of money the setup he owns.

Nice. I did notice they cleaned up the ATATs animation if not made them look less cheesy as well as the speeder scenes. Especially the behind the pilot's shoulders. Also the very first initial shot of the walkers when before the Cmdr with Binos id's them. I dunno I felt like they stretched the widescreen a bit more because im seeing more things than I've ever seen of every edition lol.
Nice shirt bought entire series this last week at last Star Wars is on 4K a dream for us who love 4K Physical media. Great video.
Are the HDR grades on the discs the same SDR to HDR grades on the Disney+ versions?
Aren't all the clips of footage used in this video actually from the 2011 1080p Blurays? They have a noticeable magenta tint in the highlights and oversaturated reds, which the new releases do not suffer from as badly. This is especially apparent on the stupid SE droid slapstick shot, which is cropped more aggressively at the top on the new releases.

I truly love the surround sound on all the Star Wars movies, I have floor speakers so the sound is totally out of this World 🔊🔊🔊
When they are $15-20 I’ll upgrade my regular blu-ray collection
I would give the video for A New Hope at least an 8.9, probably 9.0. In general, this trilogy looks really great on my setup. I think Shane's video scoring is way low vs. what I'm seeing. By far the best presentation on a consumer format.
watched ep 4 Sat and it blows away the D+ version. For the first time I I actually noticed all the dents and scruff on C3PO.
