Hi Shane, BvS remastered is 1.43 while Justice League Snyder Cut is 1.33. 1.43 really looks nicer, but I still enjoy Snyder Cut a lot that I watched it 3 times. I almost forgot there was Josstice League.
WB doesn't care for the Synder Cut, they are still hurt about the BvS and SS box office failures and given the Weldon cut did poorly they just wanted this to end.
This disc blew me away, very sharp image with a thin grain and that atmos was booming. Two 100 GB discs. I got the steelbook from FNAC. Nice work shane.
It’s crazy how much better the 4K blu ray looks than the hbo version. It has to be their bitrate or something but I wasn’t impressed by the stream. The discs surprised me!

Snyder's cut is superior to Whedon's in just about every way. After watching it you'll be thinking to yourself why would Whedon do what he did? And the aspect ratio isn't bad, like many make out. You hardly notice it once the film cracks on, and you also realise that you get to see 'more' of the characters and scenery. And at 4 hours long I found I could watch more. Over all a great film. Me and the missus have watched it twice already; we're in the UK so got the 4K disc weeks ago.

Maybe the reason is that I Live in India & the Disc we get are UK versions (mentioned on the label). People living in US should get one. Try BestBuy, I've seen people get Digital Codes on them.
Got my steelbook from France. Paid like 70 bucks for it to get it in the US. Favorite movie ever. Represents just how much impact an artist can have on a film

My copy finally came in this past weekend. I was a little let down in the audio mix, as you said, it doesnt have the same punch as the other two blu rays. I really had to crank the volume on this one. But definitely a nice step up from the stream, and I found it to be very enjoyable on second watch. First time, there was all the hype and controversy, and I was looking constantly judging and looking for differences. This time was able to just watch it as its own thing and it was pretty enjoyable. Glad we got this thing as it gives some nice closure to the Snyder DC films.
I saw the blu-ray version on Amazon was available. I already budgeted my movies for the next 3 months but when the price is lowered 3 months from now, I'm grabbing me a copy.
For those wondering. The 4k and BluRay are REGION FREE!!! So you can import it BUT if you don't want to pay the import fees, it's being released in 4K & Bluray as well as a "Trilogy" box set on September 7th or 14th (Can't remember which date) in North America.
Like I've told most people, i do think the synder cut is the better, more fleshed-out version of "Justice League". But I did love the scene when flash sees the batcave and sits in the batmobile. I busted out laughing the dolby theater when I saw that seen. And I love the Aquaman confession scene with the lasso, which I was disappointed was not in the snyder cut. Jason Mamoa, for me, works as both serious and silly Aquaman , the Bar scene with the biker fans in "Aquaman" 2018 makes my case.

Do the Blu-Ray and HBO Max versions of Zack Snyder's Justice League have an intermission? I know Snyder said he added an intermission for the theatrical release. However, the Chinese Virus has made a theatrical release of either version impossible.
For me it's very difficult to understand how WB Executives felt that the 2017 version was worthy of release in comparison to this far superior version. I understand Zack is an acquired taste sometimes but its known by all movie lovers exactly what his style is so one wonders if they really know what they're doing . Creativity should never be stifled and in my opinion we really need people in WB at the top level who know the subject matter and understand it and just let the directors and crews do their job without having to put up with nonsensical interference from above. So the movie is in 4:3. My LG OLED when i switch to 4:3 has double black bars when compared to being in 16:9, which has single black bars on the sides. Am i supposed to watch it with the double black bar or just keep my tv in 16:9? Thank you

Snyder’s cut is a marvel; got 4K copy day it was released in UK and it looks more phenomenal on disc; definitely worth getting along with the BvS remaster and MOS 4K for a trilogy binge
HBO MAX wanted more subscribers and it’s also region locked only to the U.S.A. It was also only exclusively to the HBO max subscription to watch. So you will have needed a VPN with a U.S. IP address. That’s why for those not in the USA had either a Blu-ray release or a different app subscription to watch this movie. Sorry for the long text I just see this question asked frequently.
I wonder why the US is late in getting this release I picked up my copy in May this year from my local JB for $20.00 au$tralian (part of buy 1 get one movie free deal)
It’s a very good movie but definitely watch it in breaks. I made the mistake of watching it in one sitting and as much as I loved it I wouldn’t do that again. I recommend watching until at least chapter 4, take a 10-30 minute break. Then continue as normal, it will flow more smoothly and won’t feel to slow.
Bet this is the only instance you wish you didnt have a scoped screen. Between screens right now so just watched this at 136 inch straight on my wall and tbh It was still bitching

And many locations sold out surprisingly fast, especially with respect to the Steelbook versions.
You’re not missing anything, he wanted to portray the height of the heroes and villains as God-like. If you compare it to the 2017 version, you get more picture in the Snyder cut because it’s cropped.
Yes Snyder is talented but shooting in 1:33:1. I just don’t get it. Why and what is to gain. Most if not all cinematographers would agree. Thanks for the video Shane.
It’s IMAX, more of everything. Most people are already used to black bars horizontally. It makes sense for this movie to have them on the sides. Many scenes try to portray massive height vs width, like darkseid jumping from his ship, the aspect ratio adds so much to the shot imo. Not sure if it would have the same effect in 1.85:1.
Any way you cut it it’s a very odd move. 1 85 offers enough height and losing the width is just to big of a sacrifice. Snyder is the only director doing this and I think that speaks volumes.
@@davemccague222 -- In principle, and relatively speaking, it is indeed an odd move. That being said, I hope people do not conclude to themselves that Snyder shot this film in a 35mm widescreen format (such as 2.35:1 Cinemascope), and then later on decided to hack the sides clean off. Nothing could be further from the truth. Snyder would never sabotage himself like this. P.S: For the people complaining the loudest about this, I wonder if they become anywhere near as frustrated with the black bars on the top and bottom of the higher aspect ratio widescreen movies that many, no doubt, own.
Personally I’ve never understood why some people take issue with the black bars when watching CinemaScope films. Whether you’re watching on a 40” or 150” image I prefer the CinemaScope ratio. After all it’s the cinematographers choice and visually the black bars don’t deter from the image but uphold the directors vision. The wider canvas is superior in every way. It simply creates a larger field of vision.

I do agree with you on audio mix. It is not as aggressive as BvS, especially on the LFE.

99 percent of 4k discs are region free. To answer the question it is region free.

You can change individual screen specs with my LG C9 so I can lengthen the horizontal spec. But of course it will look weird but I'll get used to it.

Whedon cut has 16:9 and more colors. It's also not as exhausting as this Snyder Cut. ID definitely prefer the Whedon Cut.

I got this dvd a couple of weeks ago but still haven’t watched it yet I’ll wait until I have a spare day
It’s a very good movie but definitely watch it in breaks. I made the mistake of watching it in one sitting and as much as I loved it I wouldn’t do that again. I recommend watching until at least chapter 4, take a 10-30 minute break. Then continue as normal, it will flow more smoothly and won’t feel to slow.

every format (4K, Blu-Ray & I guess DVD too) splits the movie onto 2 discs

And many locations sold out surprisingly fast, especially with respect to the Steelbook versions.

You’re not missing anything, he wanted to portray the height of the heroes and villains as God-like. If you compare it to the 2017 version, you get more picture in the Snyder cut because it’s cropped.

It’s IMAX, more of everything. Most people are already used to black bars horizontally. It makes sense for this movie to have them on the sides. Many scenes try to portray massive height vs width, like darkseid jumping from his ship, the aspect ratio adds so much to the shot imo. Not sure if it would have the same effect in 1.85:1.
Any way you cut it it’s a very odd move. 1 85 offers enough height and losing the width is just to big of a sacrifice. Snyder is the only director doing this and I think that speaks volumes.
@@davemccague222 -- In principle, and relatively speaking, it is indeed an odd move.
That being said, I hope people do not conclude to themselves that Snyder shot this film in a 35mm widescreen format (such as 2.35:1 Cinemascope), and then later on decided to hack the sides clean off. Nothing could be further from the truth. Snyder would never sabotage himself like this.
P.S: For the people complaining the loudest about this, I wonder if they become anywhere near as frustrated with the black bars on the top and bottom of the higher aspect ratio widescreen movies that many, no doubt, own.
Personally I’ve never understood why some people take issue with the black bars when watching CinemaScope films. Whether you’re watching on a 40” or 150” image I prefer the CinemaScope ratio. After all it’s the cinematographers choice and visually the black bars don’t deter from the image but uphold the directors vision. The wider canvas is superior in every way. It simply creates a larger field of vision.
