The lord rested on the sabbath and resurrected on the following day to keep the Sabbath holy. This was how Jesus showed the importance of the Sabbath and resting on this holy day even in his death. All glory to Jesus.

@@Catholic101A. Galatians 4:4-5 4: But when the fulness of the time was come, God sent forth his Son, made of a woman, made under the law, 5: To redeem them that were under the law, that we might receive the adoption of sons. That passage mentions nothing a out doing away with the sabbath. Jesus kept the sabbath as his custom in luke 4:16 and even when Jesus died he rested on the sabbath. Meaning that even in death Jesus kept the sabbath. Jesus also kept all of God’s commandments as it says in john 14:15 and in john 15:9-12 Jesus says he kept God’s commandments. Not one single verse in the bible states Jesus only kept 9 commandments as it would have been crystal clear if he did. On the contrary, God commands us to keep the weekly sabbath holy. The commandment itself starts with the word “remember”… what do you tell those who tend to forget? Paul throughout acts kept the sabbath. You can try ignoring scripture all you want. The facts are there.

The Bible says if Jesus changed the day he would have to them…
Heb 4:4 For he spake in a certain place of the seventh day on this wise, And God did rest the seventh day from all his works.
Heb 4:5 And in this place again, If they shall enter into my rest.
Heb 4:6 Seeing therefore it remaineth that some must enter therein, and they to whom it was first preached entered not in because of unbelief:
Heb 4:7 Again, he limiteth a certain day, saying in David, To day, after so long a time; as it is said, To day if ye will hear his voice, harden not your hearts.
Heb 4:8 For if Jesus had given them rest, then would he not afterward have spoken of another day.
The plan by satan through the catholic system is to obliterate the day you were told to remember because it’s the easiest to forget in a busy world!
    It is written
Jas 2:10 For whosoever shall keep the whole law, and yet offend in one point, he is guilty of all.
Jas 2:11 For he that said, Do not commit adultery, said also, Do not kill. Now if thou commit no adultery, yet if thou kill, thou art become a transgressor of the law.
Jas 2:12 So speak ye, and so do, as they that shall be judged by the law of liberty.
The sabbath is eternally fixed in time it is the test for all man…
Isa 66:23 And it shall come to pass, that from one new moon to another, and from one sabbath to another, shall all flesh come to worship before me, saith the LORD.
if you can’t spend a whole day with God you will not be satisfied spending eternity with him! A whole day away from all worldly contemplation…. Not two hours in church on the wrong day… then go watch Sunday football….

Jesus' resurrection fulfills the saturday-sabbath. Because sabbath is a mere shadow of what's to come but the fulfillment belongs to Christ:
      Colossians 2:16-17
Therefore let no one pass judgment on you in questions of food and drink, or with regard to a festival or a new moon or a Sabbath. These are a shadow of the things to come, but the substance belongs to Christ
      Saturday sabbath commemorates the creation:
Saturday-sabbath was observed by the Jews because it commemorates the creation-that God made everything in six days and rested on the seventh day. When Jesus rose from the dead on sunday that commemorates the new creation. For as in Adam all die, In Christ shall all be alive. We are now the new-holy-alive creation who rose from the dead together with Christ's resurrection. The old creation is fulfilled with his resurrection-the new creation has been born:
      1 Corinthians 15:20-22
20 But Christ has indeed been raised from the dead, the first fruit of those who have fallen asleep. 21 For since death came through a man, the resurrection of the dead comes also through a man. 22 For as in Adam all die, so in Christ all will be made alive.
So, the 3rd commandment is not abolished, Jesus only fulfilled this shadow ( saturday-sabbath) in his resurrection. So, when it says, "remember the sabbath day to keep it holy" We have been keeping it holy ever since, though, no longer the shadow but the fulfillment of the shadow-the reality- which is the resurrection of Jesus Christ on sunday.

Well the first 4 commandments is how to love your god if you love your god you will not worship any other god if you love your god you will not keep any idols in reverence to god and if you love your god you will not misuse his name and if you love your god you will keep the sabbath the next six commandments are how to love your neighbor this is why Jesus broke down the 10 commandments in two parts because also Moses was given two stone tablets because one part of the commandments is how to love your god and the next part of the commandments is how to love your neighbor the sabbath was never changed Sunday worship is a man made teaching and god never authorized to change sabbath to Sunday and he never said sabbath was no longer a holy day this is why even the gentiles were trying to keep sabbath in the New Testament for it is written

I’ve been reading how on the 6th day God finished creating. (Genesis 2:1) Then He created an extra day, a sacred day, “which He had made.” (Genesis 2:2) “God blessed the seventh day and separated it as holy; because on that day God rested from all His work” (Genesis 2:3) I love my Creator, our Most High God and want to honor Him always.
“If you love Me, keep My commandments.” (John 14:15) “God engraved on the tablets.” (Exodus 32:16) “two tablets of the Testimony, tablets of stone, written with the finger of God.” (Exodus 31:18) “God never changes” (Malachi 3:6) I feel our Creator is worthy to be praised, honored and obeyed. “For the gifts and the calling of God are irrevocable.” If God has ever been good, then He will always be good because He never changes! (Psalm 102:27, Romans 11:29, James 1:17) I want to honor His Seventh day and obey all His Commandments.
So why do we worship the 1st day of creation? I was reading about historical events that Pope Constantine changed the day of worship because SUN-WORSHIP was the official religion of the Roman Empire. Catholic Encyclopedia, Vol. 4, p. 153 states “The church after changing the day of rest from the Jewish Sabbath or seventh-day of the week to the first, made the third commandment refer to SUN-day as the day to be kept holy as the Lord’s day.”
However, Jesus says in the Bible “The Son of Man is Lord of the Sabbath.” (Matthew 12:8, Mark 2:28, Luke 6:5) Not only because of who He is as the God who instituted it, but because He is the one who provides full and final Sabbath rest to all who believe in Him. In the end Satan will be furious with Gods people “who keep the commandments of God, and have the testimony of Jesus Christ.”(Revelation 12:17)
I choose to worship my Creator (Psalm 95:6) and on His sacred day because God created the seventh day for man to worship and rest from his work, as God did and asked us to do.

3:13 That "new creation" image about resurrection Sunday is an excuse to do away with Sabbath on Saturday. The Scriptures never refer to the Resurrection Day as such, but rather as (Christ being) "the first one of the resurrection of the dead"; the new creation that you are referring to it only but just begins in the heart of each Christian, and it will only be completed, as you said, when Christ returns. So this is not to say that resurrection Sunday represents a "new creation", not at all. Resurrection Day is about Him, the person of Christ, not about a new creation. What matters about Christ's resurrection is the creator, Him, not the creation.

To all in this thread here’s something interesting… read Malachi 3:6, Hebrews 13:8
Afterwards got to Deuteronomy 5 or Exodus 20… read both of you want… now tell was God intentional in writing the 10 commandments, yes or no? Yes, God clearly took His finger, and purposefully wrote on the two stone tablets. Therefore what God has ordained, let it remain ordained. Jesus Christ is the same yesterday, today, forever.
Jesus was a Jew, and He said, “if you love Me keep My commandments.” John 14:15
He also said, “No one comes to the Father except through Me.” John 14:6
Christ is not partial, God is not partial. 2 Timothy 3:16-17 clearly states that “all scripture” is given through the inspiration of God!
Therefore if God is unchanging, and if God is not partial, and He is intentional/all knowing, and He asks you keep His commandments. Then we must keep the commandments. It would be a double standard for God to say this then say that… that’s two faced.
The objectives laws of excluded middle, and non contradiction make it clear that there can be only two sides. Unfortunately for many, one side presents contradictions… the way to salvation was the same in the Old Testament as it was in the New Testament. Salvation was by Grace, but that doesn’t mean that Grace can be handed at random or without constraint, lest an evil one enters heaven.
In conclusion study this out and ponder it. It is deeper than most believe.

"Now if the ministry that brought death, *which was engraved in letters on stone,* came with glory, so that the Israelites could not look steadily at the face of Moses because of its glory, transitory though it was, will not the ministry of the Spirit be even more glorious? 9 If the ministry that brought condemnation was glorious, how much more glorious is the ministry that brings righteousness! For what was glorious has no glory now in comparison with the surpassing glory. And if *what was transitory* came with glory, how much greater is the glory of that which lasts!" - 2 Corinthians 3:8-11
Scripture teaches that the 10 commandments bring death and are transitory. The way to salvation certainly is not the same in the Old as the New, for there IS NO SALVATION in the Old Law. Peter is given a vision an the laws of kosher are abolished. The early Church in the Council of Jerusalem wrote in the Bible that circumcision is not necessary. The Old Law has passed away, the law of the Sabbath with it, for we live according to Christ Jesus.
The Old Law looked back longingly towards the perfection of the garden, the New Law looks forward into the infinite eternity, and thus Worship is most proper on Sunday. That's why all of the apostles worshipped on Sunday, broke bread on Sunday, came together on Sunday.

Why saturday-sabbath is no longer binding for Christians?
Answer: first, we all know that in the bible the seventh day is the Sabbath. And the seventh day in our calendar is actually-saturday(Exo. 20:8-11). So why do most Christians worship on sunday instead of Saturday? Does it mean Seventh day Adventists are right and we are wrong since they are following the scripture written in Exo. 20:8-11? No. They are actually the ones who are wrong since saturday-sabbath is no longer binding for Christians since according to Paul in Col. 2:16-17-it's a mere shadow. Since it's a mere shadow, then it should be fulfilled. There should be a reality of that shadow. And the same passage says that Christ is the reality. So, since Christ has already fulfilled the shadow, its purpose has also ended. If you would still keep the shadow and rest on saturday like the jews, you're simply making Christ's sacrifice worthless. You're simply making the shadow more important than the reality itself. Which is very ironic, isn't it?
      This is what Paul says:
Therefore do not let anyone judge you by what you eat or drink, or with regard to a religious FESTIVAL, a New Moon celebration or a SABBATH DAY. These are a SHADOW of the things that were to come; the REALITY, however, is found in CHRIST ( Colossians 2:16-17)
      • Does it refer to yearly sabbath alone as what the SDAs have been claiming for all this time?
Answer: no, it refers to all sabbaths either yearly or weekly. Paul doesn't say in Col. 2:16-17 that seventh day sabbath is excluded. In fact, seventh day sabbath is one the Jewish festivals written in Lev. 23:1-3) and according to Paul in Col. 2:16-17, festival is a shadow and Christ is the reality of that shadow.
•Now, how did Christ fulfill the sabbath?
Answer: It was actually fulfilled by Christ in his resurrection on sunday. Remember, saturday-sabbath was observed by the Jews because it commemorates the creation-that God made everything in six days and rested on the seventh day ( Exo. 20:8-11). When Jesus rose from the dead on sunday that commemorates the new creation, because it's the day when Christ and the Church have also resurrected that made us new. The old creation is fulfilled in his resurrection on sunday since this is the day when the new creation has been born through Christ resurrection. This is what Paul says:
      1 Corinthians 15:20-22
"But Christ has indeed been raised from the dead, the first fruit of those who have fallen asleep. For since death came through a man, the resurrection of the dead comes also through a man. For as in Adam all die, so in Christ all will be made alive.'
Thus, whoever who is in Christ is now the NEW CREATION. This is what Paul says:
      2 Cor. 5:17
"Therefore if anyone is in Christ, he is a NEW CREATION. The old has passed away. Behold, the new has come!"
      Let's make it concise:
      Saturday-Creation.
Sunday-New creation ( the day when Christ and his people have resurrected from the dead made us new-the NEW CREATION-who are no longer spiritually dead but alive together with Christ)
So, the 3rd or 4th commandment ( for protestant) is not abolished, Jesus only fulfilled this shadow ( saturday-sabbath) in his resurrection. So, when it says, "remember the sabbath day to keep it holy" we have been keeping it holy ever since, though, no longer the shadow (saturday SABBATH) but the fulfillment of the shadow-the reality- who is
Jesus Christ through his resurrection on Sunday.
So, if saturday commemorates the old creation; sunday commemorates the new creation. The fulfillment of saturday SABBATH.

Answer this question...Why do the disciples tell him (Acts 21) they say you teach against the law take these men and pay for their vows...........what are they referring to. If he was teaching against Moses why is he going to Jerusalem to keep the Feast of Weeks . Answer CAUSE IT'S A COMMANDMENT! the answer is in Deut 16:16 onwards, Lev 23. If you are not familiar with God's law. You WILL MISUNDERSTAND PAUL.... And as peter says you will do it to your own destruction. You need to Repent.. On to the Colossians Argument. Colossi is NOT IN ISRAEL. feel free to check that on the Map. Now here's a question. let no ma. judge you in meat or sabbath. Watch this. What majority of People live in Colossi and what did they have? The answer is heathens, people who don't believe in the God of Abraham, Isaac and Israel. Now check this. If Paul was commandment keeper like I explained above. And he has an assembly in Colossi. Would that assembly outnumber the population there? Think about that????? Another thing to consider in those areas you had PAGAN TEMPLES...to PAGAN goddesses...So consider this Who would be judging who? Ask yourself this if you were Keeping Sabbath in a PREDOMINANTLY PAGAN CITY, WHO would judge who, the congregation to the pagans or vice versa. Is it not written be he holy as he is holy? That isn't just new testament by the way. Its in Lev FiRST. Didn't Paul say you are a Royal Priesthood a PECULIAR PEOPLE A HOLY NATION SET APART TO SHOW THE PRAISES OF HIM WHO has called YOU OUT OF DARKNESS....you know the rest. It would make sense the Pagans would be judging those persons in the assembly because they are going completely opposite to them. Here's an example if you claim to follow Jesus Christ..does the world embrace you? Or treat you with disdain? And call you peculiar? It was the same thing with the Colossians. Colossians IS A LETTER TO THE COLOSSIANS TO ENCOURAGE THEM. Picture if they weren't enduring accusations why would Paul need to write a letter to them to encourage them. When people call you names and judge you in the natural. Wouldn't naturally a person get depressed? Feel Down? If The apostle was teaching against moses and then say the law is holy. He's confused.I assure you he he wasn't. I submit to you your theology is wrong. And you need to revisit that. Did that make some sense? In hope it was clear. Shalom

(Apologies in advance for the length.) The Bible says there is no private interpretation (2 Peter 1:20). The Bible speaks, plainly, for itself (Isaiah 8:20 and 28:10-13). Jesus, we are told, is the Word made flesh (John 1:14) and the literal Word of God (Rev 9:13) therefore Jesus will never contradict or confuse scriptures.
We are warned in Daniel 7:25 that sometime after the Messiahs death and resurrection a world religio/political power would change more than one of God's commandments including the only one that deals with time, the Sabbath, and would blasphemously claim to have authority over that of the word of God including the authority to change God's word/law.
I love Catholics, most of my family is Catholic, and most are ignorant of the fact that the Catholic church has never denied claiming this authority and being the one to change God's law (most modern, mainstream Protestants are also ignorant). God winks on (sincere) ignorance (Acts 17:30) but does send watchmen to expose these errors because, whether sincere or not, people die because of ignorance (Hosea 4:6) and God is not willing that any should perish BUT all should repent of errors that lead to sin (2 Peter 3:8-10).
I was a former Sunday keeper and astonished when I started studying the Bible for myself all the errors Christianity has adopted from paganism. More astonished at the boldness of countless cardinals, bishops and former popes in admitting 1. the Catholic church made these changes, 2, there is no Biblical justification for these changes, and 3, the Church ia able to make these changes because her authority is greater than that of scriptures and the fact that she has made these changes is a mark of her ecclesiastical authority to do so, she actually used the word "mark". Just a sampling below. I hope that Christians will prayerfully consider these things and not be so married to tradition as to be unable to return to the truth. God's word warns that in the last days, those who keep all ten of the commandments (Revelation 14:2) will be a minority and will be persecuted by those who identify as Christians, even think they are doing God's will (John 16:2), but are practicing a faith of man made traditions full of error.
"Sunday is our mark of authority... The church is above the Bible, and this transference of sabbath observance is proof of that fact." Catholic Record of London, Ontario - Sept 1, 1923
"Of course the Catholic Church claims that the change [Saturday sabbath to Sunday] was her act... And the act is a mark of her ecclesiastical authority in religious things." H.F. Thomas, Chancellor of Cardinal Gibbons
"You may read the Bible from Genesis to Revelation, and you will not find a single line authorizing the sanctification of Sunday. The scriptures enforce the religious observance of Saturday, a day which we [the Catholic Church] never sanctify. Cardinal Gibbons, In Faith of Our Fathers 92nd Edition, Page 89

What didn't you understand of the explanation?

“Had she not such power, she could not have done that in which all modern religionists agree with her, she could not have substituted the observance of Sunday, the first day of the week, for the observance of Saturday, the Seventh day, a change for which there is no Scriptural authority” Stephen Keenan, A Doctrinal Catechism 3rd ed. p. 174.

Jesus didn’t tell us to revise the definition of Sabbath. The answer given by them didn’t make sense and definitely did not refer to any Bible verses that man should follow Sunday as the new Sabbath. Jesus actually also was on rest during Saturday before he resurrected on a Sunday. Also, Is there such a reference to “super sabbath” in the Holy Bible. I still keep Saturday (sunset of Friday to sunset of Saturday) as the true Sabbath day.

We celebrate Sunday (the eight day) becuase we celebrate Jesus. We are not Jewish, so we do not adhere to their rules, only the rules that were meant for everyone, not just the Israelites. Jesus celebrated the Sabboth on Saturday becuase he was Jewish.
Celebrating the Lord's Day on Sunday goes all the way back to the Early Church around 70 AD. This new day of celebrating was suppose to signify a new age of existence. A religion in God that not only included the Jews but Gentiles as well.
If you want to celebrate the Lord's Day on Saturday, you have every right to. But to say that celebrating His day on Sunday is the wrong day is foolish and goes against the earliest teachings and traditions of the Christian Church.

These things are held in contempt by those who hold to asceticism as they did in ancient colossae. Because the early Christians observed these days they were judged by the people in colossae. - SUNDAY is Our Mark of authority the Church is above the Bible and this transference of Sabbath observance is proof of that fact, Catholic Record, September 01, 1923; Canon of tradition, Page 263
    - The Roman Church now presents a fair front to the world, covering with apologies her record of horrible cruelties. She has clothed herself in Christlike garments; but she is unchanged. Every principle of the papacy that existed in past ages exists today. The doctrines devised in the darkest ages are still held. Let none deceive themselves. The papacy that Protestants are now so ready to honor is the same that ruled the world in the days of the Reformation, when men of God stood up, at the peril of their lives, to expose her iniquity. She possesses the same pride and arrogant assumption that lorded it over kings and princes, and claimed the prerogatives of God. Her spirit is no less cruel and despotic now than when she crushed out human liberty and slew the saints of the Most High.
    - Canon law is the system of laws and legal principles made and enforced by the Catholic Church's hierarchical authorities. It regulates the church's external organization and government and directs the activities of Catholics toward the mission of the church.

Exactly we even have been following it, thought, no longer the shadow but the fulfillment of it.

Mr @@Livin4Jesus00 The Old Covenant, that was had with YHWH and the Jews through Moses on Mt Sinai was the Law given to them in order to attain salvation. Should anyone break the Law without repentance (that is, going to the Levite priest for him to offer a slaughtered lamb as sacrifice for the forgiveness of sins, or the transferring of the sins of the people to a wild animal to be released away from the camp) then that person would be put to death. Almost everyone outside Israel were referred to as _the heathen_ (idolaters, sinners, atheists, etc) which did not have a covenant with God's people hence they would have been condemned anyways. The books of Exodus and Isaiah preach that "strangers who live within the gates of Israel and who subscribe to the Law would be saved". If Christ's blood had saved persons before His time then there would be no need for the Law. Furthermore, for you to be saved through Christ, you have to believe in Him first (John 3:16) and the Old Testament Jews knew nothing of Christ before His arrival, almost 2, 000 years after Moses. In fact, it is because the Jews didn't believe in Christ, why they persecuted Him; claiming that he was blaspheming against YHWH to be called God. Those who did believe in Christ, became known as Christians

Listening to what you said up to 2:30, Christians chose to worship on Sunday because of what they believe is the new creation with regards to Christ's resurrection. But what's odd, is that Christ himself said he came not to change the law but to fulfill. It is also stated that he went into the synagogue on the sabbath as his custom was. Therfore in essence when Christians choose to worship on Sunday they are not following what Christ did. Moreover, they have in essence, decided which day they wanted to worship, thereby breaking the covenant that and also transgressing the fourth commandment entirely.

The one who eats everything must not treat with contempt the one who does not, and the one who does not eat everything must not judge the one who does, for God has accepted them.
Who are you to judge someone else’s servant? To their own master, servants stand or fall. And they will stand, for the Lord is able to make them stand.
One person considers one day more sacred than another; another considers every day alike. Each of them should be fully convinced in their own mind. Whoever regards one day as special does so to the Lord. Whoever eats meat does so to the Lord, for they give thanks to God; and whoever abstains does so to the Lord and gives thanks to God. For none of us lives for ourselves alone, and none of us dies for ourselves alone. If we live, we live for the Lord; and if we die, we die for the Lord. So, whether we live or die, we belong to the Lord. For this very reason, Christ died and returned to life so that he might be the Lord of both the dead and the living.

The Church, along with some noteworthy historical Christian sources, teach that the Sabbath comprises of 2 elements: the moral part which outlines that a day must be set aside for worship for God, as well as the ceremonial part which caters for the other parts of Sabbatical purposes, whether it be not lifting a load etc. The ceremonial part was nailed to the cross in Colossians 2: 16-18 and Jesus outlined which of the Commandments are necessary for salvation in Matthew 19: 17-20. It should be noted that the Church didn't eliminate totally a day set aside for worship and closed the book. It recognized an entire day; the 1st day of the week, noted by the Early Church as the Day of Creation as compared to the Day of Rest. Satan has taken full possession of the churches as a body. Their professions, their prayers and their exhortations are an abomination in the sight of GOD." (Spiritual Gifts, Vol 1, p.189).

Had the whole Adventist body united upon the commandments of God and the faith of Jesus, how widely different would have been our history." (Selected Messages, Book 1, p.299).
Concerning some of her revelations: *"In one of her visions her accompanying angels told her that the time of salvation for all sinners ended in 1844* . She now claims the door of mercy is still open. In another vision she discovered that women should wear short dresses with pants and she and her sister followers dressed this way for eight years. But the ridiculous custom has now been abandoned." (Biederwolf, Seventh-Day Adventism, p.81).
She also affirms that her visits to heaven were easily made: After having left there during one of her visits an angel "handed me a green cord coiled up closely. This he directed me to place next to my heart, and when I wished to see Jesus, take from my bosom and stretch it to the utmost. He cautioned me not to let it remain coiled for any length of time lest it should become knotted and difficult to straighten."
*"I was shown the company present at the Conference. Said the angel:* Some food for worms, some subject to the last plagues, some will be alive and remain upon the earth to be translated at the coming of Jesus ." (Vol.1, p.131).

There is no verse in the Bible where Jesus or God ordains the changing of the Sabbtah to Sunday after he resurrects in the bible, and when the holy ghost comes. • @mekmek2218
      @mekmek2218 3 года назад +2

That's exactly what he said. Have you even bothered of understanding his explanation?

So, what makes us so special that God would change and make it easier for us to keep His law by abolishing the very day that was given to us for rest?
Why do so many people not want to rest and spend time with God on HIS Holy day??

So here's the break down in the easiest form: yes we are 2 observe the sabbath.** Jewish teachings point to the sabbath being on Saturday ** Not Sunday.
So many ask if we're to observe the sabbath.
First understand that my method takes a little time in researching. Firstly ask the Holy Spirit to guide you in prayer before you start this.
1st- only in the new testament, research when did Christ teach in the temple. Only mentioned are the sabbath, Saturday. So when you read sabbath it = Saturday.
    2. From the first day till the sixth sunday-friday Christ taught throughout the land & healed.
    3. How many break the bread and drink the wine in observance of Christ ? This is jewish as well. Christ taught his followers, regardless of jewish background or not to teach & follow these teachings and rituals. So. If he Christ our lord said to observe the sabbath, it literally means to observe the sabbath without practicing more deeper rituals of the jews we are not to practice being gentiles. Remembering that in old jewish practice a gentile would convert as a proselyte. Sort of an indirect form in almost an automatic proselytizing by following Christ. What saves in Christ is in believing Christ risen in faith thru grace. So. If Christ said to observe the sabbath it was literal. He is our Jewish savior the messiah Christ. I can't say it's a sin not to observe but I also understand obedience to the Word made flesh.

If you are Thirsty for the Lord you'd Go everyday to church. But that being said... We are all busy these days soo we are not making time for the lord everyday by going to church... Back to your Question: Sabbath is The Day for Workshiping the God.. But that being said Through Jesus only the entire law is fulfilled and it is through Jesus resurrection that our Sins are forgiven.. so that we become a worthy candidate to be taken up into Heaven... So if it's any day of the week that you should absolutely not miss Church... It's on Sunday... About Saturday according to God We should also go to Church... Therefore let no one pass judgment on you in questions of food and drink, or with regard to a festival or a new moon or a Sabbath. These are a shadow of the things to come, but the substance belongs to Christ
      Saturday sabbath commemorates the creation:

When Jesus rose from the dead on sunday that commemorates the new creation. For as in Adam all die, In Christ shall all be alive. We are now the new-holy-alive creation who rose from the dead together with Christ's resurrection. The old creation is fulfilled with his resurrection-the new creation has been born:

Revelation 1:10 “I was in the Spirit on the Lord’s day, and I heard behind me a loud voice like a trumpet.” The apostle John's target audience, first-century Christians, were already familiar with the expression. (He did not say Sabbath.)
The Sabbath day was instituted by God for the nation of Israel to commemorate His deliverance of them from Egypt (Deuteronomy 5:15).
The Sabbath was a special sign to the Israelites that they had been set apart as followers of the most High God. Their keeping of the Sabbath would help distinguish them from the nations around them. Nowhere in Scripture is the Sabbath ever referred to as the Lord’s day. The term Sabbath was still in use within the Jewish community in New Testament times and is referred to as such by Jesus and the apostles (Matthew 12:5; John 7:23; Colossians 2:16).
Sunday was the day that Jesus Christ rose from the dead, an act that forever separated Christianity from any other religion (John 20:1). Since that time, believers have gathered on the first day of the week to celebrate His victory over sin and death (Acts 20:7; 1 Corinthians 16:2).
Colossians 2:16-17 “Therefore do not let anyone judge you by what you eat or drink, or with regard to a religious festival, a New Moon celebration or a Sabbath day. These are a shadow of the things that were to come; the reality, however, is found in Christ.”
We are not under the Law (Romans 6:14-15). We are free to worship Him on any day that our conscience determines. Some Messianic Jews want to continue regarding the Sabbath day as holy because of their Jewish heritage.

Christ is our Sabbath/Shabbat. Christ is our rest. There is no more Sabbath “day” - we are to rest in Christ everyday. Hebrews 4
A Sabbath-Rest for the People of God
4 Therefore, since the promise of entering his rest still stands, let us be careful that none of you be found to have fallen short of it.(A) 2 For we also have had the good news proclaimed to us, just as they did; but the message they heard was of no value to them, because they did not share the faith of those who obeyed.[a](B) 3 Now we who have believed enter that rest, just as God has said,
“So I declared on oath in my anger,
‘They shall never enter my rest.’”[b](C)
And yet his works have been finished since the creation of the world. 4 For somewhere he has spoken about the seventh day in these words: “On the seventh day God rested from all his works.”[c](D) 5 And again in the passage above he says, “They shall never enter my rest.”(E)
6 Therefore since it still remains for some to enter that rest, and since those who formerly had the good news proclaimed to them did not go in because of their disobedience,(F) 7 God again set a certain day, calling it “Today.” This he did when a long time later he spoke through David, as in the passage already quoted:
“Today, if you hear his voice,
    do not harden your hearts.”[d](G)
8 For if Joshua had given them rest,(H) God would not have spoken(I) later about another day. 9 There remains, then, a Sabbath-rest for the people of God; 10 for anyone who enters God’s rest also rests from their works,[e](J) just as God did from his.(K) 11 Let us, therefore, make every effort to enter that rest, so that no one will perish by following their example of disobedience.(L)

The man from the audience has all the right to be confused by all this non-biblical, man-made teaching. They have twisted true teachings to the point of putting love of neighbor above the knowledge of Christ, which is the true goal in life: He himself raised from the dead, not the love of neighbor. And the only way to know Christ is from His words, from the Scriptures. Love of neighbor should be considered and practiced in the right context of showing that faith in Christ, but not making of it the goal in life.
They go as far as to say "that is Christ, love" no not quite so; you can also love the neighbor just "for the church" because the church teaches so and you're doing it for the church, not for Christ, while at the same time you never read the Scriptures so you do not know Christ by what he said, did and taught.
"But why so much like reading the Bible and all that?" well, because you are expected to do it, otherwise look at the other things I mentioned before the way you have been doing them, then you're not a true Christian.
"The first Christians did not know the Scriptures", yes they did: why would Paul go ahead and explain in such depth the meanings of many things and on top of that he would say 'let this letter be read to the Laodiceans, and the letter to Laodicea be read to you"? because they did know and understand everything. So by you saying that it is just an excuse to not know.
Do not understand a Catholic Bible by the way it is expressed? read another version! (not saying that you will go to a different church) read another version! (just not Jehovah's Witnesses' please). Not understanding a Bible version is no excuse to not read the Bible.

    • @mekmek2218
      @mekmek2218 3 года назад

What's the purpose of dietary law?
      • it was made by God for his people to be separated from other nations ( gentiles). Association with the gentiles would be avoided through food laws. Jews would stay away from those folks who used to eat things considered unclean before their eyes:
      Lev. 20:24-26
"But I said to you, “You will possess their land; I will give it to you as an inheritance, a land flowing with milk and honey.” I am the Lord your God, who has set you apart from the nations. “‘You must therefore make a distinction between clean and unclean animals and between unclean and clean birds. Do not defile yourselves by any animal or bird or anything that moves along the ground-those that I have set apart as unclean for you. You are to be holy to me because I, the Lord, am holy, and I have set you apart from the nations to be my own."
Why God wanted his people to be separated from the gentiles in the OT?
      • Because He's holy and He wanted his people to be holy like Him as He has always been. Gentiles were known to be unholy because of their sins, and God didn't want his people to be influenced by their impurities.
Does this dietary law applicable in the present?
      • The answer is a big NO. Since its purpose which is to separate the JEWS from the Gentiles had ended when Christ died on the cross. God no longer wants to isolate his people from them but to unite the two as one nation under his dominion. When Jesus arrived, he extended his holiness to those unholy and made them holy through his death on the cross.
Dietary laws are made for separation but Jesus' death unites the two. The purpose of this law had ended together with Christ's death:
      Ephesians 2:14-16
"For he himself is our peace, who has made the two groups one and has destroyed the barrier, the dividing wall of hostility, by setting aside in his flesh the law with its commands and regulations. His purpose was to create in himself one new humanity out of the two, thus making peace, and in one body to reconcile both of them to God through the cross, by which he put to death their hostility."
      That's why Paul said:
      Colossians 2:16-17
Therefore let no one pass judgment on you in questions of food and drink, or with regard to a festival or a new moon or a Sabbath. These are a shadow of the things to come, but the substance belongs to Christ.

Praise God. Go tell that to Early church fathers. We only following their collective teaching.
      The Didache
“But every Lord’s day . . . gather yourselves together and break bread, and give thanksgiving after having confessed your transgressions, that your sacrifice may be pure. But let no one that is at variance with his fellow come together with you, until they be reconciled, that your sacrifice may not be profaned” (Didache 14 [A.D. 70]).
The Letter of Barnabas. (Same Barnabas that’s in the Bible)
“We keep the Eighth day [Sunday] with joyfulness, the day also on which Jesus rose again from the dead” (Letter of Barnabas 15:6-8 [A.D. 74]).
Ignatius of Antioch (taught by the Apostle John)
“[T]hose who were brought up in the ancient order of things [i.e. Jews] have come to the possession of a new hope, no longer observing the Sabbath, but living in the observance of the Lord’s day, on which also our life has sprung up again by him and by his death” (Letter to the Magnesians 8 [A.D. 107]).
Justin Martyr (taught by Polycarp who was taught by the Apostle John)
“But Sunday is the day on which we all hold our church assembly, because it is the first day on which God, having wrought a change in the darkness and matter, made the world; and Jesus Christ our Savior on the same day rose from the dead” (First Apology 67 [A.D. 155]).
      The Didascalia
“The apostles further appointed: On the first day of the week let there be service, and the reading of the holy scriptures, and the sacrifice of the Mass, because on the first day of the week, Sunday, our Lord rose from the place of the dead, and on the first day of the week he arose upon the world, and on the first day of the week he ascended up to heaven, and on the first day of the week he will appear at last with the angels of heaven” (Didascalia 2 [A.D. 225]).
      Origen
“Hence it is not possible that the day of rest after the Sabbath should have come into existence from the seventh day of our God. On the contrary, it is our Savior who, after the pattern of his own rest, caused us to be made in the likeness of his death, and hence have a celebration of his resurrection” (Commentary on John 2:28 [A.D. 229]).
      Praise God.

      New English Translation
51 I am the living bread that came down from heaven. If anyone eats from this bread he will live forever. *The bread that I will give for the life of the world is my flesh.”*
52 Then the Jews who were hostile to Jesus began to argue with one another, *“How can this man give us his flesh to eat?”*
------ then Jesus says that the bread He is referring to is His flesh. The Jews take Him literally and immediately question such a teaching. How can this man give us His flesh to eat?
      John 6:53-58
      New English Translation
53 Jesus said to them, “I tell you the solemn truth, *unless you eat the flesh of the Son of Man and drink his blood, you have no life in yourselves.*
54 *The one who eats my flesh and drinks my blood has eternal life, and I will raise him up on the last day.*
55 *For my flesh is true food, and my blood is true drink.*
56 *The one who eats my flesh and drinks my blood resides in me, and I in him.*
57 Just as the living Father sent me, and I live because of the Father, so *the one who consumes me will live because of me.*
58 *This is the bread that came down from heaven;* it is not like the bread your ancestors ate, but then later died. *The one who eats this bread will live forever.”*
----- Jesus does not correct their literal interpretation. Instead, Jesus eliminates any metaphorical interpretations by swearing an oath and being even more literal about eating His flesh. In fact, Jesus says four times we must eat His flesh and drink His blood. Catholics thus believe that Jesus makes present His body and blood in the sacrifice of the Mass. Protestants, if they are not going to become Catholic, can only argue that Jesus was somehow speaking symbolically.
      John 6:55
      New English Translation
55 *For my flesh is true food, and my blood is true drink.*
----- to clarify further, Jesus says "For My Flesh is food indeed, and My Blood is drink indeed." This phrase can only be understood as being responsive to those who do not believe that Jesus' flesh is food indeed, and His blood is drink indeed. Further, Jesus uses the word which is translated as "sarx." "Sarx" means flesh (not "soma" which means body).
*THE EARLY CHRISTIANS ALSO BELIEVED IN THE EUCHARIST*
"They abstain from the Eucharist and from prayer, *because they confess not the Eucharist to be the flesh of our Saviour Jesus Christ,* which suffered for our sins, and which the Father, of His goodness, raised up again." Ignatius of Antioch, Epistle to Smyrnaeans, 7,1 (c. A.D. 110).
"For not as common bread and common drink do we receive these; but in like manner as Jesus Christ our Saviour, having been made flesh and blood for our salvation, so likewise have we been taught that the food which is blessed by the prayer of His word, and from which our blood and flesh by transmutation are nourished, *is the flesh and blood of that Jesus who was made flesh."* Justin Martyr, First Apology, 66 (c. A.D. 110-165).
*"[T]he bread over which thanks have been given is the body of their Lord, and the cup His blood..."* Irenaeus, Against Heresies, IV:18,4 (c. A.D. 200).
"He acknowledged the cup (which is a part of the creation) *as his own blood,* from which he bedews our blood; and the bread (also a part of creation) *he affirmed to be his own body,* from which he gives increase to our bodies." Irenaeus, Against Heresies, V:2,2 (c. A.D. 200).
"But what consistency is there in those who hold that the bread over which thanks have been given *is the Body of their Lord, and the cup His Blood,* if they do not acknowledge that He is the Son of the Creator of the world..." Irenaeus, Against Heresies, IV:18, 2 (c. A.D. 200).

Since the early Church observed both the Saturday Sabbath and the Sunday Lord's Day as there was both Jews and Gentiles that converted to the new religion of Christianity. Part of that meant Gentiles had to essentially practice Jewish customs and males had to be circumcised. Of course a change took place in which Gentile converts no longer were bound by Jewish customs and practices including males needing to be circumcised. Baptism essentially became the circumcision of the spirit. Just as the Jewish Sabbat no longer had to be observed by the Gentiles who continued to observe the Lord's Day as the belief that Jesus fulfilled the Sabbath as He is Lord of the Sabbath it counts to celebrate His Resurrection on the Lord's Day.

    To the questioner re: Sabbath:
The etymology of this word is:
The *_"Shvah (f), Sheevah (m)"_* ...root word _Shin-Beit-Tav,_ means *to rest, cease, to end,* and it is after 6 days work, that one rests on the seventh.
    Sabbath does not mean “Saturday”.
Sabbath does not mean "seven": It means _"rest"._
What many people seem to ignore or not know, is that in ancient history there was not a 7 day week as we have. There were 5 day weeks eight day weeks, and so on. Did God command we observe our “day of rest" (Sabbath) on Saturday? No: There was no "Saturday".
    God commanded: Exodus 20,
“Remember the Sabbath day, to keep it holy. *Six days you shall labor, and do all your work,* but the *seventh day is a Sabbath to the LORD your God …Therefore the LORD blessed the Sabbath day and made it holy.*
Hence, we see clearly that we *work six days* and we _“sabbath"_ (rest, cease work), on *the seventh* day!
The (then) fairly new Julian calendar names of the week as we know and use today (pagan names of pagan gods) was not in existence in ancient times. Before 46 BC it was a 10 month Roman calendar. (And some ancient places had an 8 day week; some 5 day week.) It was hopelessly confusing (it did not match up with our lunar cycles, so was way off on seasons), thus Julius got his astronomers to try to correct it, and introduced the 12 month, 7 day a week, calendar. It was still not accurate (thus our "leap" years).
I know that the Jewish peoples have their day of rest (Sabbath) beginning Friday (typically at the appearance of the first star) lasts 24 hours. Depending on which Jewish sect (there are many) some observants are extremely strict, while others fairly lax.
Catholics "Sabbath" (day of rest) is on *the Lord's day.* And our observation of Mass does begin Saturday evening, and we have the choice to attend Saturday evening or Sunday. We too observe the lunar calendar of "night and day".
Scripture is quite clear Sunday is called "the Lord's day" and when they, the Apostles with converts to the Church celebrated the "Breaking of Bread, aka The Eucharist at Mass. Rev 1:10, John said he was caught up in spirit "on the Lord's day" (Sunday). The day of the Lord's Resurrection was Sunday, and since then known as "the Lord's day". Collections were made on the first day of week (still to this day!) See 1 Corinthians 16:2. And in Acts 20:7 "On the *first day of the week, when we gathered to break bread ..."* That is Sunday and celebration of the Eucharist (Greek: to give thanks), the Body and Blood of Christ (the Lord's Supper as it is also called in 2 Corinthians 11:20) and instructions about reverence for the Body and Blood, 2 Cor 11:23-34.
Revelation 1:10 used Kyriake hemera (Κυριακῇ ἡμέρᾳ, "I was in the Spirit on the Lord's Day") and all Christians understood this meant Sunday, the Resurrection day.
The historical and biblical record reveal the Lord's Day was the chosen gathering day for distinctly Christian worship (Mass) because it was the day Jesus rose from the dead.
Therefore, *Sunday is the **_Christian obligation._* And The Church also counts the Sunday day of obligation starting at Saturday evening (Mass also) through to Sunday evening. We obey God, by working 6 days and keeping the 7th day holy. Resting on the 7th (sabbath means "rest" and to cease from work). *Recall that is the commandment of God.* Saturday is never mentioned in the Bible for that matter. (And I'm not saying Sunday is "The Sabbath" as observed by Jews. No, I'm using the word "sabbath" as its etymology "rest".
The early church spoke of Sunday as the first day of the week, or the first day from the Sabbath.
Acts 20:7 indicates Christ’s disciples met at night “on the first day of the week”-
*Acts 20:7* Now on the *first* *day* of *the* *week* , when the disciples came together to *break* *bread* , Paul, ready to depart the next day, spoke to them and continued his message until midnight.

To quote: The New Testament also uses the phrase te ... mia ton sabbaton (τῇ ... μιᾷ τῶν σαββάτων, "the first day of the week") both for the early morning (Mary Magdalene John 20:1) and evening (the disciples in John 20:19) of Resurrection Sunday, as well as for the breaking of bread at Troas (Acts 20:7) and the day for the collection at Corinth (1 Co 16:2). End quote
Sunday is not a Christian Sabbath. It is the day God requires all Christians to gather together to worship and eat the Lord's Supper (Holy Communion, break bread: aka Eucharist).
    Amen and God bless

There you go again, adding you should absolutely be ashamed of yourself. You add to God's Word to satisfy your own lust and idolatry. There's nothing in the text that says anything like that. Also, I asked you previously why it would be considered a bad thing if Mary and Jose consummated their marriage?
Understand that it is not lust when it's inside of a marriage that is how God designed it, so what is it about consummating a marriage that would have made her unclean???
Your idolatry is so incredibly sickening that it's unbelievable. You want it to be true so bad that you actually add to God's Word so you can try to justify worshipping Mary, who is a created being. Shame on you.

Consgantine did. He was a pagan that converted to Catholicism. To bring other pagans in, he changed the day of worship to the "Venerable day of the sun," aka, Sun worship.
Worshipping on sunday is nothing more than idolatry.

One of the main problems (and they have many) with the catholic church is they believe one mortal man is holier and closer to God then any other and that he represents them before God and that you must confess your sins to this mortal man or one of his representatives. And yes, the Sabbath is evening from Friday to evening on Saturday. There is no re-interpretation of God's word.

There is a marked difference between the rite of circumcision and a commandment from the Decalogue. It is vastly clear that the circumcision practice was symbolical, and Paul clearly said so. But there can't be found anywhere in the Bible where one of the 10 commandments, the seven-day Sabbath, was to be changed to Sunday. Yes, it was a change that the Catholic Church made in the Council of Laodicea.
"The Church, on the other hand, after changing the day of rest from the Jewish Sabbath, or seventh day of the week, to the first, made the third commandment refer to Sunday as the day to be kept holy as the Lord's Day." - Catholic Encyclopedia, vol. 4, p. 153
There are many similar admissions the CC has made regarding this issue.

Gosh, it's the first time I understand it in such a solid manner. Jesus fulfilled the Sabbath ( *the one day of rest* ) when he went back into heaven as a man ( *the eternal rest* ), in full divinity. As he says, he came to fulfill not just the law, but also the prophets, while not abolishing them, such that everything is but a shadow of what was and is still being revealed in a brighter light. He fulfills the Passover sacrifice with his own flesh at the last supper, before going on the cross; and fulfills circumcision of the flesh by a circumcision of the heart. 🤯 Jesus is communicating not only through his words but also with his very life, and through/with the Holy Spirit, he has really been at work ever since in various amazing ways. He gave all of himself, literally. This shouts aloud the divinity and humanity of Jesus. Worshipping on that day is so meaningful, almost like a celebration, which the priest says over and over at mass, but it's now that I understand its significance! It gives a new meaning to "I am the Lord of the Sabbath", at least to me. My mind is blown. 🤯 Amazing! Really excited to see what God is preparing for his new creation. 😎
If today, the New Testament writers were writing the bible as a movie, they would probably use a verse like "Beloved Theophilus, if we were to make a single movie about his life on earth, perhaps even a multi-season series would not be enough."
Blessed be God forever, and thanks to the amazing theologians and Christ's Holy priesthood. 🥳

Our Savior was placed in the tomb on Wednesday just before the end of sunset. He predicted that He would rise according to the sign of Jonah, who was in the belly of the fish for three complete days and three complete nights, 72 hours. So Father God raised Him from the dead at the end of the Sabbath day, on Saturday just before sunset. There is no reason for any believer to say that Sunday is the Christian Sabbath. The word "sabbath" itself points to the final portion of the week on the Gregorian and Jewish calendars. In Exodus 20:8, people are to work six days and cease from work on the seventh day. On the regular Gregorian calendar the week begins on Sunday and ends on Saturday. That's sunset on Friday evening to sunset Saturday evening, approximately 24 hours. In Luke 4:16, Messiah Jesus went to the synagogue every Sabbath to teach and read Scripture. There was no New Testament during His days on Earth because He is the New Testament! So everything we learned from our Savior came from the Torah, the Old Testament, which is very much active and binding today. The Ten Commandments are a part of the moral laws from the Torah! When our Father created night and day, the evening came first and the morning followed, one Biblical day from sunset to sunset.

    God Blessing the Sabbath
According to the biblical account, God blessed and sanctified the seventh day, setting it apart as a day of rest and worship. This is recorded in Genesis 2:3, where it is written: “And God blessed the seventh day and declared it holy, because on it God rested from all his work that he had created in creation” (NIV).
God INSTITUTED the Seventh Day Sabbath at CREATION, SANCTIFIED it, MADE it HOLY, said to REMEMBER it and WROTE it with His finger on STONE TABLETS. Case Closed!
“And on the seventh day God ended his work which he had made; and he rested on the seventh day from all his work which he had made.” “And God blessed the seventh day, and sanctified it: because that in it he had rested from all his work which God created and made.” Genesis 2: 2-3
How is it that it's the one commandment people want to do away with or change?

March 7, 321 C.E, “On the venerable Day of the Sun let the magistrates and people residing in cities rest, and let all workshops be closed.” (Codex Justinianus 3.12.3, trans. Philip Schaff, History of the Christian Church, 5th ed. (New York, 1902), 3:380, note 1.)
By focusing on a Sunday worship, it would have the effect of bringing all the faiths together into one.
"The Jewish, the Samaritan, even the Christian, were to be fused and recast into one great system, of which the sun was to be the central object of adoration." - Henry Hart Milman, The History of Christianity, Book 2, chap. 8, Vol.22, p. 175.
324 C.E., Constantine made Christianity the State and Universal /Catholic religion of the Roman Empire. This is when Christianity actually began. The starting of it
Cardinal Gibbons, in Faith of Our Fathers, 92nd ed., p. 89, freely admits, “You may read the Bible from Genesis to Revelation, and you will not find a single line authorizing the sanctification of Sunday. The Scriptures enforce the religious observance of Saturday, a day which we [the Catholic Church] never sanctify.”
By focusing on a Sunday worship, it would have the effect of bringing all the faiths together into one.
THE PARAGRAPH BELOW IS WHAT HISTORY TELLS YOU. ON THE OTHER HAND THE CATHOLICS SAY THEY CHANGED THE SABBATH. CONSTANTINE WAS A SUN WORSHIPER. THE CATHOLIC DENOMINATION DID NOT EXIST UNTIL 1559, AT THE COUNCIL OF TRENT. C.E., BUT IT BEGAN IN 312 C.E., Constantine and the battle of the Milvian Bridge. Where he saw the cross in the sky and was told to, "IN THIS SIGN CONQUER." Crusades = War of the cross. Rome became PAPAL Rome on October 28, 312 A.D., when Constantine exchanged the eagle for the cross: THIS WAS THE VERY BEGINNINGS OF CONSTANTINE'S CHRISTIANITY.
321 C.E., Constantine made Sunday as a holiday for Christians, the Lord's (Sun Worship) day. Lord is a sun deity name. Constantine instructed that Christians and non-Christians should be united in observing the "venerable day of the sun". WATCH: Sunday will be changed from the first day of week to the seventh day of week, worldwide. Christianity is pagan sun worship and has never been the truth.
CONSTANTINE STARTED PAGAN CHRISTIANITY IN 325 C.E.
SUN DEITY NAMES USED WITHIN CHRISTIANITY AND MOST PUT IN THE SCRIPTURES WHICH PROVES THAT CHRISTIANITY IS OF SATAN:
JESUS, CHRIST, ANGEL, AMEN, ADONAI, LORD, GOD, BIBLE, SACRED
HADES, HELL - DEITIES OF THE UNDERWORLD AND SUN DEITIES TOO, ALL FROM DIFFERENT CULTURES, NIMROD WORSHIP.
THE PARAGRAPH BELOW IS THE REAL TRUTH:
Constantine did not and could not change Yahweh's Sabbath, even though they want you to think he did. This is what he did and it is all true. He started Christianity from an already pagan religion by that name. Constantine killed off the last of Yahweh Messiah's Elect with the last and 11th Roman Emperor Persecution, all that was left were the unbelieving pagans, our forefathers.. Christianity is pagan to the core and of Satan. So he made Sunday the day that the pagans worshiped the sun, as his pagan Christian religion SABBATH so that our pagan forefathers who did not believe the truth back then would except this Christianity so they all would come under one heading and why Constantine made it the State religion of the Roman Empire. and why we inherited their lies. The same reason why he Christianized all the pagan holidays .

So after watching the entire explanation this man tried to give in this video, I was convinced that he had absolutely no real understanding of the difference between the "Old covenant" and the "New covenant"! Did anyone else notice how he tried linking the" ceremonial laws" which circumcision was a part of along with other things he mentioned that were written by Moses and not with the finger of God himself as were the entire "Decalogue", a.k.a. the "Ten Commandments"! When Moses was passing his authority to Joshua to lead the Israelites into the "promised land", he handed Joshua a scroll of parchment which contained the "ceremonial laws" and instructed him to place them in a pouch "outside" of the Ark of the covenant, which everyone knows is where the "Ten Commandments" were placed "inside" the Ark! These were the laws that were "nailed to the Cross" in the New Testament, unlike the "Ten Commandments" written by God himself on tables of stone, and are described over & over in the Bible as "Perpetual" and "Holy, Just & Good" ! The Old Covenant and the New Covenant are one and the same!!! The only difference between them is in how they were administered. When Moses brought the Ten commandments down from Sinai to the children of Israel they answered with the promise "all the lord has said, we will do" as if they could obey or "keep" these commandments of their own accord, with no help from God! When Jesus is speaking of the "New Covenant" he now say's that he will "write my laws in their minds, and put them in their hearts"! That is why the "New Covenant" is based on "better promises". God's promises are sure and reliable, and much better than the promises made by the weak and unreliable "Israelites"! By the way, who does everyone think actually wrote the "Ten Commandments"? It was Jesus, the son of God before he arrived on this earth in Human form who was leading those Israelites out of bondage! That is why he answered Moses when he asked God what his name was, and he answered " I Am that I Am" and he made it clear to the Sadducees and Pharisees "before Abraham was, "I Am"!!! Jesus is the God of the Old Testament! Just read the gospel of John again if you are not sure. He is making it as clear to us as possible that Jesus was "with God, and is God" from the beginning and always, and that he is actually the "Creator" and that "everything that was made was made by him, and that nothing that was made was not made but by him"!!! Wouldn't that include the "Ten Commandments"? Way too much denial and being obscure to try to explain away the truth that the Catholic Church absolutely claims credit for "Changing the Sabbath"! Just get a copy of their "Catholic Catechism" booklet that every new Catholic is supposed to receive and you will see that not only do they acknowledge that they indeed made this change, but they also claim that the very act of changing the Sabbath from the "7th "day of the week to the "First" day of the week is their "Mark" of authority!!! Ever read anything about the "Mark of the Beast" in your Bible? Things that make you go "Hummn"!!!!!!!!!

Everything this man says is not confirmed in the BIBIE and Paul did not say anything about changing the Sabbath from Saturday to Sunday. In the Book of ACTS Paul and the Apostles still went to the Synagogue on Sabbath! Furthermore, Gentiles are grafted into the Abrahamic covenant. If Gentiles are grafted in, then we need to obey the Sabbath -Saturday as well.
