Matthew 28:9 . We worship every day, but Sunday from that day on was never to be the same. Saturday is for recreation/to enjoy God's creation & to remember our sin, but Sunday became the new day & so the new covenant was born on a Sunday 🙏
Whenever Jesus publicly healed someone on the Sabbath, the Pharisees accused Him of breaking the Sabbath law (Matthew 12:10; Mark 3:2, John 5:14; 9:14-16). Jesus’ response was that He was working just as His Father was working, an answer that did not appease the religious leaders: “For this reason they tried all the more to kill him; not only was he breaking the Sabbath, but he was even calling God his own Father, making himself equal with God” (John 5:18).

I know, that John 5:18 says, that he was breaking the Sabbath. But if we take that literally, then it contradicts his teachings in all other Gospels, and also his own words in John 15:10, that he kept the commandments. The work, that Jesus did, was lawful work on the Sabbath, because he healed others, and doing good on the Sabbath is lawful. If he had made tables and chairs on the Sabbath, then he would have broken the Sabbath, and he would have sinned. But doing the work of God on the Sabbath is not breaking it, on the contrary, it honors the Sabbath. So Jesus did not break the Sabbath itself, but the man-made rules about the Sabbath. Again, if we take the verse literally, then we have a massive Bible contradiction.
The Law of the Ten Commandments was so important that God personally wrote it with His own finger. Even after Moses, angry with the people, broke the two tablets of the Law, it was God who graciously wrote them again with His finger. This is a very important detail because it shows that the Law of the Ten Commandments, that is, the Moral Law, is a Law that transcends the ages and is applicable to every human being on earth. The law of the ten commandments should not be confused with the ceremonial laws that found their fulfillment in Jesus Christ. Between the two laws, the moral law remains valid until the return of the Lord Jesus. Furthermore, after receiving the Law of the Ten Commandments as well as the ceremonial laws, Moses placed the Moral Law inside the ark together with Moses' staff and a bowl of manna, but the ceremonial laws were placed and kept outside the ark. Likewise, the Laws received by Moses, both the moral one written by God and the ceremonial one written by Moses, existed long before in unwritten form, but in oral form transmitted from man to man. The proof is Genesis 26.5 where it is very clear that Abraham already respected both the Law of the Ten Commandments and the ceremonial laws 430 years before they were received and written during the time of Moses, when the Jewish people had not yet appeared. One thing is very clear to me. The majority of Christian churches consider the Law of the Ten Commandments to be annulled, but the Bible does not support this idea, on the contrary. Romans 7:12 is so clear about the moral law. How could God cancel his own Law which is holy, just and good? If anyone has the courage, answer this question

The ceremonial laws were nailed to the cross. The Ten Commandments are God’s moral laws. The first four commandments are for God and the other six are for man. The Sabbath is just as important for me as the other nine commandments. The Sabbath is a day for me to nurture my relationship with God and in the same vein do good for others. The Sabbath day is my favorite day of the week. You know why? I crucify self and do good for others and spend quality time with God. The Sabbath has helped me tremendously as a young Christian.

Actually, no it's not. Sunday worship started before the Roman Catholic Church began. You really should get into the history of the church before you come to that particular conclusion. I have read a book entitled "National Sunday law" which was written by a 7th day Adventist and the author missed some very crucial points. One of those points, is that the Church actually started on Sunday which was 50 days after Passover where Jews were converted to Christians on the first day of the week. Also written in that book was that Sunday represented the mark of the beast somehow by some gematria that the author used to prove some point which wasn't even relevant. If I were to give you the gematria of Jesus that number would turn out to be the number 8 which is perfectly inline of a new beginning after the new birth. So, from the point of real Christianity, you cannot separate Sunday for the Christian movement. I would also like to point out, that due to the fear of a national Sunday law, it would be hard for a 7th day Adventist to think without bias because of his/her fear of taking the mark of the beast. The important message here is to understand that Jesus is the sabbath and there is no need to fear. Use critical thinking skills before disagreeing with this Doctor of Theology and jurisprudence, with a bachelor's degree in mathematics.

I was already aware of Col 2:16. I was already familiar with "the day of the Lord" being the Sunday that he was resurrected. This segment went into more detail about the differences between ceremonial law and moral law which is helpful to me, as I've been an SDA member for three years because of the 4th commandment. The reason I visited them was because I learned from the Abeka homeschool curriculum that the emperor Constantine and the early Roman Catholic church agreed to change the day of worship in order to undermine the Jewish economy. I want my children and grandchildren to be in church and I want to attend with them as often as possible. There are other issues I have with SDA that I don't whole heartedly agree with. But Sunday worship is no longer an issue for me. I'll be watching some more of your videos now.

I don't agree that we don't have to obey the Sabbath because it's under the old law. The reason I don't agree is because the 10 commandments are the MORAL law that transcends culture. Every believer is bound by the moral law of God. If you are going to make that argument then it's ok to murder someone, or to steal, or to worship idols, or to be disobedient to parents. However, I think the reason that we worship on Sunday is because that's the day that Christ rose from the dead which made it holy.
Both Saturday and Sunday are termed as "Sabbath" (Exodus 12:16). However, resting on Saturday is to Commemorate CREATION. Resting on Sunday Commemorates Deliverance - or Recreation also known as Redemption. Christians belong to "Deliverance" typified by "Exodus from Egypt" and that is the reason why Moses told Israelites to remember the Sabbath - Deliverance (Deuteronomy 5:15). Christians worshipped God on Sunday - (a) Mat 28:17) - (b) at Pentecost - Acts 2

Keeping or observing the weekly 7th day Sabbath really shouldn’t be controversial at all. Here’s why ... It is this very special day that our Creator rested on, blessed, hallowed and sanctified (Gen. 2:2,3; Exo. 20:11) at the creation of our world and asks us to keep holy and celebrate every week as a memorial of His awesome creative power. This day that God calls “My holy day” and that we His people should call a delight and honorable (Isa. 58:13) clearly means a lot to God so it should mean a lot to us. He enshrined it in the very heart of His great 10 commandment moral law which is the only part of the Bible that God directly wrote with His finger on tables of stone signifying its permanence (Exodus 31:18). The weekly 7th day Sabbath was so holy and precious to Jesus that He not only taught the people what was and wasn’t lawful to do on this day (Matt. 12:12) but He encouraged His followers to pray for decades after His death and resurrection that when they needed to flee from tribulation they wouldn’t have to do so on the holy Sabbath (Matt. 24:20). And then again Jesus' grief stricken disciples after His crucifixion knowing His sacred regard for the Sabbath which they shared postponed the embalming of His body until after the Sabbath. As Luke reports on it many years later in Luke 23:56 "Then they returned and prepared spices and fragrant oils. And they rested on the Sabbath according to the commandment." This confirms that the Sabbath is indeed 1 of God's commandments in His "holy, just and good" law (Romans 7:12). This blessed day is so special to God that He promises when He recreates a spectacular brand new world for the redeemed of all nations, “all flesh” will come together every Sabbath to worship and praise Him (Isa 66:23). So let’s in loving obedience to Jesus our God and Creator enjoy and celebrate Him by receiving the special blessing He offers everyone who keeps His holy day (Isa. 58:14). The weekly 7th day Sabbath is a wonderful gift to all of us because it's special, set apart relationship time with our Creator and Redeemer which is why Jesus said "The Sabbath was made (created) for mankind" (Mark 2:27). And if you have any doubt that Jesus wants His saved by grace people to obey His commandments including the 4th commandment 7th day Sabbath out of love for Him and because they are saved you only need to read the following verses: John 14:15 - If you love Me keep My commandments. Ecclesiastes 12:13 - Fear God and keep His commandments for this is the whole duty of man. 1 Corinthians 7:19 - Keeping the commandments of God is what matters. Revelation 14:12 - Here is the patience of the saints who keep the commandments of God and the faith of Jesus. Revelation 12:17 - And the dragon was enraged with the woman and went to make war with the rest of her offspring who keep the commandments of God and have the testimony of Jesus Christ. Revelation 22:14 - Blessed are those who do His commandments that they may have the right to the tree of life and may enter through the gates into the city. May God bless you all as you open your heart to His leading on this important test of our willingness to obey Him in all things.

Because God was Never specific about anything. The Pharisees didn't worry about anyone keeping the Sabbath. Any day will work. God changes a lot. The fact that the commandment starts with Remember isn't important either. 'Remember the Sabbath day, to keep it holy. On it you shall not do any work, you, or your son, or your daughter, your male servant, or your female servant, or your livestock, or the sojourner who is within your gates."
The 7th day is what God gave man to rest and keep holy and in Luke that is made very clear that day is Saturday which started at sun set on Friday and ends sun set on Saturday which then is the time Sunday begins which is the 1st day.

After the death of Jesus on Friday evening the women who traveled all the way from Galilee decided to obey the 10 commandments and rested on the 7th day Sabbath (Saturday) according to Dr Luke's account. KJV Luke 23:54-56 54 And that day was the preparation, and the sabbath drew on. 55 And the women also, which came with him from Galilee, followed after, and beheld the sepulchre, and how his body was laid. 56 And they returned, and prepared spices and ointments; and rested the sabbath day according to the commandment. Here is a clear evidence that Saturday is the Sabbath day which is also the Lord's Day according to the 10 Commandments. Please do not be deceived by this Apostolic Pastor. The Bible never refer to Sunday which is the 1st day of the week as Sabbath or the Lord's Day. Sunday is the counterfeit day of rest. Let the Word of GOD interpret itself.

Read your Bible. There are many scriptures stating that we have our Sabbath rest in Jesus Christ. Read and study Gal 3:22-27. Salvation is a free gift from God through His Son Jesus Christ. Salvation is thru faith. Gal 3:22-27

The apostles didn't institute Sunday. Sunday worship was instituted by sun worshippers who joined the church and this is why it has laws enforcing its observation
About the laws that were given, one was the ceremonial law that was a shadow , and the other waa the moral law which is the 10 commandments, the first one was ended at the cross when Jesus, the spotless lamb of God shed His blood for us. The other one is the perfect , holy, unchangeable Law of God, I personally love the law, this was not done away with, to say that we are not under the law is a very dangerous, we are under it not as a burden but as under an umbrella on a very hot day or a rainy day, it protects us! If we say we don't have to keep the law, then you are without law or lawless! Matt 5:18,19 ... read Jesus's own words!
The question is which law Torah does not apply to the Brit Chadasha (New Testament) believers? You cannot push away all the Torah of God in the Old Testament some are applicable to the church and interspersed in the gospels and epistles. Find it out and be diligent.😊
Next episode can you explain how John 3 relates to water baptism when Jesus says you have to be born again? I need some pointers on how to show this to someone
John 3:3-5 is fulfilled in Acts 2:38. The birth (Spirit) is a supernatural birth from above. You will receive power once that the Holy Ghost has come upon you. That's in the book of Acts. Peter said Repent & be baptized everyone of you in the name of Jesus Christ & you shall receive the gift of the Holy Ghost. Remember Jesus gave Peter the keys to the kingdom. Not everyone will receive the gift of the Holy Ghost right away. Never give up for it is a promise to everyone. Amen.
In the Catholic catechism, or manual of the church's doctrines, it is made very very clear that worshiping on Sunday is a catholic doctrine.. Catholic Church "using it's power... changed the day of worship from biblical Saturday to Sunday".. So it's not true that the early church had abandoned Saturday Sabbath.. Versus quoted in the audio referring to gathering on first day of the week do not constitute a change of day of worship..even Christ observed the Sabbath even as a young man when he preached in the synagogue in Nazareth he also taught how to keep the Sabbath. Later even his apostles including Peter and Paul observed the Sabbath on Saturday.. All these verses which indicate observance of the 4th Commandment were left out in the audio. They clearly demonstrate that the early church observed the 7th day Sabbath as in Commandment #4. And Christ's says "I have not come to change the law but to fulfill it" in referring to the 10 commandments of God. The term "the Lord's day from old testament has one meaning...the day of worship, that is the Sabbath.. 7th day Sabbath.. all along even during and after Christ. Some Christians however choose to change the meaning to mean the day of resurrection, that's a doctrine of men, not God. The same term in Revelation has been adequately understood to refer to a day of worship which was always on the 7th day Sabbath..John kept the Sabbath so had no other Lord's day. Etc.
Jesus is the only person in history to have been born again. He is the “firstborn among many brethren”(Romans 8:29). He was born again of Spirit, not of flesh. John 3:8 explains specifically the difference between someone born of the flesh vs of the Spirit. The 2nd birth will happen at the resurrection, at Christ’s Return (1 Thessalonians 4:15-17). The born again in this life doctrine is not biblical.

You need not struggle to make Sunday a day of rest. Nowhere in the Bible are Christians commanded to keep Sunday Holy. Sometimes it's better to acknowledge what you don't understand than to cook your way around it.
Thanks Colossians 2:16 is all about ceremonial feasts , drinks and ceremonial Sabbath's not weekly Sabbaths, read Leviticus 23:28-33 to understand ceremonial Sabbaths, please
I think if you love Father you keep His commandments, so if Father wishes you not to the work, what I believe is meant as taking care of your worldly stuff on Sabbath, it's natural for a person who loves God to keep by Him given system of 6 days work and Sabbath rest, but Jesus explained that it's just a gift of the system for people, not something that should bind you to suffer, or prevent you doing good deeds, so Sabbath can be freely broken if necessary.
Therefore based on the solidity, durability and eternity of God's Law It would be a misunderstanding, disobedient or even on an extreme view unthinking for someone with appropriate scholarship of the Bible to think the Nine commandments didn't change only Sabbath is where we are at liberty to keep it according to our convenience and perception not according to the Law as the BIBLE indicates in Luke 23:56.
The Holy Spirit is our Helper in the absence of Jesus and grants us the grace to obey God's commands without question. The reason you moved to Sunday was because of Constantine and The Catholic Church. Speak the truth.
there is a spiritual rest in jesus and a physical sabbath rest that jesus gave us which is the seventh day saturday sabbath. the sabbath is holy which is of worship.
What about the Sabbath which God the Creator ordained??? He told us to keep for ever and no word of His is ever going to pass away. The Christians worship on Sunday and the Muslim worship on Friday and the Sabbath is between these two days, is there something in relation here? Getting us to break the commandment of God?
Saying with a loud voice, Fear God, and give glory to him; for the hour of his judgment is come: and *worship him* that (from the 4th commandment follows) made heaven, and earth, and the sea, and the fountains of waters. {Revelation 14:7}
The Dr has not answered the question, the Lord's day was not Sunday but Saturday...who brought Sunday worship and why..if anyone want more information look for the book the National Sunday law...🙏🙏
The 10 commandments refer to the 7th day but, the 7th day is mentioned at creation when there's no Jew or gentile. God takes Himself seriously because He refers to the work of creation as He gives us the 4th commandment. This gives us an understanding as to who is the owner of creation and the law giver that we are not swept by evolution and big bang theories. Sabbath keeping is not only for going to church but to know who deserves our homage.Sunday worship is found to have been enforced by Condtantine in 321 AD. Those who worship on Sunday are giving homage to the one who introduced it as the day of worship. The venerable day of the sun. Ezekiel 8:16 Let us read the Bible prayerfully for God's salvation is individual based and entrusting pastors with our salvation is dangerous.
Great discussion. It looks like the early church leaders had to conclude that the Gentile believers were not bound to keep the Law seeing that God had already accepted them by giving them the Holy Ghost the same way he had given the Jews-- Law keepers-- the Holy Ghost. Thanks!
Pretentious people think they know. The KJV Holy Bible says, they are fools. Do not do surgical reading but study it. Ask the Holy Spirit to guide and give you wisdom. Surrender and cleanse your heart. Do fasting, let the Lord Jesus Christ give you understanding to learn his words for you. Do not just listen to other experts, open the KJV Holy Bible by yourself..,.,
I read 1 Corinthians 16 . No where does it mention worship day, it was to collect donations for Jerusalem.... so every time you see 1st day of the week does it say worship ? I suggest everyone watching this video to read their Bible and put this pastor to the test.
No you are so wrong. How can you be right on Oneness and then be so wrong on the 7th day Sabbath. It is a commnand. It is part of the moral Law. Yes we should not go overboard by adding to the command but please don't go changing the day! It is a holy convocation and that means we need to congregate with the saints. If everyone has his own day then how do we congregate??!!!
I know someone who keeps Sabbath the issue now is he keeps the law of Moises now. For him keeping the sabbath is a form of sanctification and keeping the law (law of moises) a form of justification. He has noted Faith in Jesus is not enough, but we most return to the law. He has built a faith and a distorted doctrine just on the 4th commandment. Jesus called him self "lord of the sabbath, and stated "come to me and i will give you rest". I'll stick with Jesus commandment.

According to whom?? God, or men???
What did Jesus do?He kept the Sabbath,as His custom was He went to the synagogue to read...Jesus is our pattern,we should follow His footsteps.
He didn't keep the Sabbath you are promoting. Where is the text that says it is Saturday? That was named after a pagan teaching. It says that God rested on the 7th day. Where does it say that day was Saturday? According to the Jewish calendar it changes. You don't even know the real meaning of the word Sabbath.

Sunday sacredness is invented by the roman catholic church

Christ came to full fill the law. Remember the fourth commandment.

I wish I could have been there to see that. Even on Sunday. The Catholics can say anything they want, and usually do, no the Early church met on Sundays (Mondays...) I wouldn't accuse the early church of obeying Catholic laws. They were filled with the Holy Spirit and enjoyed fellowship and worship everyday.

That is not true. It was on Sunday long before the Catholic Church existed. Catholic church says that they wrote the Bible, and they are the reason we have a god. They make all kinds of unbiblical claims.

Best explanation I've heard so far. Complete and Biblical. Thank you!
Totally agree... times and laws shall not be changed. The holly bible does not mention any worship on Sunday and even Jesus. Let's not mock with Ten Commandments cos it's written in God's own fingers. Jesus came to fulfill and not to destroy. Sabbath are made for men.. if you are not men you can worship on any other day. Historically the Council of Nicea 325AD adopted Sunday rather than Saturday ( the true biblical sabbath!) for two reasons 1. Constantine worshiped the 'sun god Saturn 2. As a slight to Jews! This is proved by thr writings of the council by Esuebius of Nichodemia

Even the Apostles didn't go to church on Saturday. Acts 13ff explain that the Apostles and other Jesus followers went to synagogues of un-beleivers on Saturdays. They went there to share the Good News of Jesus at risk of life and limb. What an example to us even now.

But I want to disagree more closely with you.
Ten commandments are the Law of God.
Ceremonial Laws are simply Mosaic Law.
Mosaic Law came to an end When Jesus was crucified on the Cross.
This is why Apostle Paul says Let no one judge you in respect to Sabbath Days which belong to Mosaic Law
(Colossian 2:16,17 Leviticus 23) 7 yearly sabbaths including Passover, Pentecost among others.
But Jesus Christ Said when it comes to Ten commandments "it's easier for Heaven and Earth than one jot in the Law to pass away." Luke 16:17.
We are saved by God's Grace thr Faith which leads to obedience better walk in Jesus's foot steps honored SABBATH as His Custom Luke 4:16

Was Jesus the actual name the original NT books beard it when written in Greek? Or was it transliterated into Greek name in the process of copying? Why the early Christians did not maintain the Hebrew name? I am having a hard time with this issue. Thanks.
For information, when casting out evil spirits ,it is by in the name of "Jesus Christ" and evil spirits come out . Some thing to think about
They were written in Greek originally.
Where did you learn that from sir please check the ark and see what was inside the ark and what was out side the ark
Because God was Never specific about anything. The Pharisees didn't worry about anyone keeping the Sabbath. Any day will work. God changes a lot. The fact that the commandment starts with Remember isn't important either.
'Remember the Sabbath day, to keep it holy. Six days you shall labor, and do all your work, but the seventh day is a Sabbath to the Lord your God.

Further to the Hayford reply there are references in the book of Acts to the early church meeting on the first day of the week (Sunday) which is how the precedence was set. 55 And the women also, which came with him from Galilee, followed after, and beheld the sepulchre, and how his body was laid.

Here is a clear evidence that Saturday is the Sabbath day which is also the Lord's Day according to the 10 Commandments.

You are confusing moral laws with ceremonial laws.

Sunday is the national emblem of Catholic church sun day worship came out of Rome not the bible
Sunday is a pagan day
Therefore based on the solidity, durability and eternity of God's Law
It would be a misunderstanding, disobedient or even on an extreme view unthinking for someone with appropriate scholarship of the Bible to think the Nine commandments didn't change only Sabbath is where we are at liberty to keep it according to our convenience and perception not according to the Law as the BIBLE indicates in Luke 23:56.
The Holy Spirit is our Helper in the absence of Jesus and grants us the grace to obey God's commands without question. The reason you moved to Sunday was because of Constantine and The Catholic Church. Speak the truth.

But sir, are you missing the fact that only the Roman Catholic church who started Sunday worship?
