  • We recently hit up some of the Walsh River tracks on Mount Baldy with Tyler in his 4 link swapped Jimny. We wanted to test out the anti flex, portal truck with an extended wheel base, vs a short wheel base set up with a tonne of flex. Safe to say they both had their strengths and weaknesses in different technical sections of the track.
You'll find these tracks hidden up the back of the Riffle Range in Atherton. To get to the base of these tracks, follow Riffle Range road, past the mountain bike trails until you reach the last shuttle stop. From there, there's a couple of forks in the track and you can tackle whichever tickles your fancy! All tracks are outlined on Hema Maps.
We followed the right entrance, and turned left at the fork with signage (to the right is a road that is not supportive of vehicle entry). You will travel a few kms before reaching the Walsh River 4x4 sign - follow this and have fun!

I to run a full setup Jimny on 30’s, reductions and Evo Corse rims with a 3” 4xfourart Art suspension. We both need portals. I did contact Marks a while ago but you might have some more convincing power. I did win the BNB Sam Eyles Sydney 4x4 most modified first place for 2023. Awesome Vlog. Get your mate to put the Hardrace quick disconnect sway bar on. They are awesome.

Yer I am going to get the Hardrace quick disconnect sway bar. Maybe Santa can chip in for that one. Got plenty more to do to the Jimny yet, just got to hide the receipts from the Mrs.

Nice work fellas. I've watched turbo and the Jimny cross gunshot, nothing will stop that rig.

I know Hardrace claim it is a 4 link kit. But does it still have a rear panhad rod making it a 5 link?

Yer still has the factory panhad bar in. But most aftermarket’s kits are like the one I am running is marketed as a parallel 4 link kit. I know bit of a rabbit hole to go down.
