  • We trekked to Emu Gorge, a special, locally known area, accessible via private property with permission or a serious 4x4 track. We took the "easy" route through the private property as apparently the other option is quite washed out and currently accessible to bikes only. We found ourselves camped out at the base of a gorge, filled with milky blue water, a stunning waterfall and swimming hole. The 79 series handled the track like a champ, and Britt got a chance to jump in the drivers seat and do some real wheeling for the first time in the Cruiser. We absolutely loved this trip, the view from our Camp King Roof Top Tent and we're thoroughly disappointed with the lack of fish.... jks. It is an absolutely amazing spot and cannot wait to get back there again.

Awesome track and camp spot. Any guidance where to find additional information / whom to contact for permission to access the private track? Cheers, Sven

Hey Sven, we went with a group of mates that had the contact details - unfortunately we don't have them but are desperately trying to get back ourselves!

Good stuff bud , how come the water looks so milky up in that part of the gorge ? Awesome spot an the trucks looking mint .

Cheers mate, the water is so milky and blue due to the minerals in the creek bed. There's heaps of tin mines up that way. It's the standard length rhino rack backbone system, no legs on the system.

@@LifeoftheCromies yeah interesting, looked awesome .
I ordered the new pioneer flat rack an got the standard 150mm legs but hoping it won’t sit too much higher than the headboard as I’ll be chucking on a roof top tent soon ..time will tell
